So I have an update for The Reality of Serenity. I'm looking at this, and I'ma like WHOA. First off, two hundred and twenty three reviews? At chapter twenty? THAT'S AMAZING! Thank you my wonderful reviewers!
And also, we all know what's coming up. The moment that Serena and Leaf have to officially 'meet' each other once again. *chuckles darkly* Oh, I am so looking forward to that chapter.
Anyways, I found the scientists personalities in X and Y REALLY hard to pinpoint. Based on their dialogue, I came up with this:
Alaina: Calm and slightly arrogant. She become extremely interested in the player(to an almost stalkerish level) after he/she defeated her in the Powerplant.
Bryony: Somewhat childish and rash. She's like an older sister to Celosia.
Celosia: Extremely arrogant. A younger sister to Bryony
Mable: Wise and extremely curious. She sees the player as a rarity among humans.
Xerosic: Straight-up insane and sociopathic. He doesn't care about the results of his experiments.
Amy47101 does not own pokémon.

Aliana blinked behind her goggles as she narrowed her eyes at the entrance to the main power plant. Two trainers, one she was absolutely sure they had apprehended at the entrance, had barged their way in. She clicked a few buttons on a device on her wrist, connected wirelessly to her goggles, and zoomed in on them.
Yes, one was the boy they had apprehended. The one who kept yelling and ended up having to move him to a more isolated location. No surprise that he was, once again, yelling at one of the grunts whom they defeated in battle, one who was standing stock still in the way, refusing to move.
Alaina rolled her eyes. If they wanted to get past him so badly, all they had to do was shove him out of the way. Two on one would surely be enough man-power to take out one measly grunt. Though pushing him out of the way would require him going over the edge, no doubt breaking a bone two.
She moved her gaze to the girl, wearing a sweatshirt much to large for her, hand on the boy's shoulder as she tried to talk some sense into him. Were they a couple? Did she not want to hurt the grunt? Curious.
"Admin!" she turned to look at him. The bald man glanced up from his computer. She pointed at the two trainers. "Clear the grunts! Make sure those two trainers get quite the shock when we're finished." she smirked at the little pun.
"Send the command out to the grunts?" he responded. Alaina rolled her eyes behind her goggles, then nodded, turning back to them and watching as they made their way around.
"Yes."

"Geez." Calem paused in the middle of the walkway, rubbing the back of his neck. "Where's all the grunts? There was a ton on the way to the powerplant, nearly twenty when they captured me, and a few in the entrance way. Now they're all gone. Like, poof." he threw his hands in the air on the last word.
Serena glanced about.
"It is strange, isn't it?" she muttered, hand enclosed around her pokéball. She paused in the middle of the walkway, glancing a the two people who stood in front of them, then glancing behind her. The grunt from earlier was gone, and there were only two people left. Judging by their extremely gaudy outfits, they were also members of Team Flare.
"Heh." the bald one chuckled, looking over his computer. "With a little more power, we should have enough to settle the boss."
"If you're interested in only the facts," the red haired woman said. "I'd say we already have enough energy to power the device."
"Well, you're the scientist here." the bald one said. "With just a little more work, we should be able to pack up and leave at any second."
"What other work do you mean?" she turned, glancing over her shoulder with a sly smile on her lips. "Perhaps you mean taking out those annoying little pokémon trainers over there?"
"Why, ain't that just cute." the bald one said, standing up an turning away from the computer. "The lovey-dovey couple came to the rescue."
"So tell me, little girl," the redhead turned fully, a smirk on her face as she addressed Serena. "Did you come to save your little boyfriend?"
"Something along those lines." Serena stated with a smirk. Instead of cracking a joke, Calem stared at her with a serious look on his face.
"Why are you taking the electricity from the power plant?" he asked. The woman waved her hand dismissively.
"It's something far to complicated for children like you to understand." she said. She glanced a them again. "Oh, such bravado in those eyes! Well then, little trainers, do you think you can beat us?" she waved her hand to the bald man, who was up instantly, holding a pokéball and ready for action.
"We know we can!" Serena stated defensively. The bald man let out a roar of laughter.
"Come on then, little trainers, show us what you got!"
"Wait a moment, Admin. At least allow me to introduce myself." the woman grinned. "Allow me to introduce myself, intruders. My name is Aliana. As you can see, I'm one of Team Flare's Scientists."
"Serena and Calem." Serena responded as both she and Calem grabbed a pokéball.
"Your worst nightmare." Calem grinned. "Still not gonna tell us about this secret project?" Alaina smirked.
"I'm researching a certain something that you wouldn't understand, anyway." she grabbed a pokéball, throwing out a Mightyena while the Admin unleashed a Houndour. "Unfortunately for you, I've been charged with the simple task of your elimination!"

"So this is the power plant, eh?" Gary glanced at Leaf out of the corner of his eye, grinning as he nudged her. "Sorta reminds me of when Dayna went running to the old power plant to stop Team Rocket from getting Zapdos."
"Someone did the work for us, it seems." Leaf responded, walking through the hallways and pausing in the doorway.
"Are you here to help us too?" a scientist asked.
"Yeah." Gary said.
"Ignore us! They took one of the boys away for being to loud!" an employee exclaimed.
"We don't know where they took him." someone else said.
"Was he a trainer?" Gary asked as the two got to work on undoing the ropes binding them.
"Yes, but they took his pokémon."
"We'll find him and make sure he's safe." Gary asked as both stood. "You guys head to Coumarine, the power's still out in Lumiouse. Call the police and stand by."
Everyone nodded, filing out of the room and checking around before bolting. Leaf and Gary followed out, though going in a separate direction. Immediately upon stepping into the plant, they heard the clash of battle and shouts of commands. Leaf widened her eyes a fraction as she spotted Serena and Calem battling two obviously important people from Team Flare. Gary watched it from the size, then smiled.
"Remember when we did double battles against those Rockets? How serious we both would get?"
"I'm not sure if we were trying to outsmart each other or the Rockets." Leaf stated in a matter-of-fact tone. Gary chuckled slightly, continuing to watch the two battle.
"Well, lets go before those two kids get themselves killed." he sighed, looking over his shoulder as he began walking. Leaf didn't move a moment, cradling her keystone in her hand as it glowed faintly.
Gary walked back towards her. He knew what the light was. A keystone glowed whenever a pokémon mega evolved with it's bonded trainer. Gary knew the only pokémon with the ability to mega evolve on Leaf's team was Venusaur, and she wasn't out. If she was, Gary might seriously need to consider some contacts or glasses or something.
"Could it be...?" Gary trailed off, glancing around. Leaf closed her eyes.
"It's him." she opened them. "Something's going to happen."

"I-Impossible..." the admin growled, stepping back as he returned his Houndoom.
"Oh, yes, you are strong." Aliana smirked. "So very strong indeed..." she tilted her head back and laughed. "Well, I certainly didn't expect you two to be so interesting!" she turned to the Admin. "Hurry up and deactivate the safety!"
"W-What?!" Calem exclaimed. "You can't!"
Serena whipped her head back and forth between the Team Flare duo to Calem. The Admin stood from his computer, grinning as if they had won. Aliana adjusted her goggles, smirking.
"Well, it was fun watching you two scramble for victory, that much is sure." she stated. "But I really must take my leave. Wouldn't want a Team Flare scientist going up in flames, would we?" she chuckled. "Well, I do hope we meet again!"
With that, both she and the Admin released a Golbat, grabbing onto it's foot and zooming overhead.
"Wait!" Calem shouted, making a move to bolt after them. Serena stopped him, however, a confused look on her face.
"What would happen if the safety was disabled?"
"See that panelling?" a new voice questioned. Both turned and saw Leaf and Gary bolting towards them. Gary skidded to a stop in front of the computer that was left behind and Leaf unleashed her Pikachu. Gary continued to speak, hardly looking up as he began to frantically type on the computer. "It would burst, causing electrical currents to set the place on fire. The safety is an electric proof barrier that keeps it from bursting."
"If this place went down," Calem continued. "No doubt would half the power in Kalos, unless there were emergency or personal generators."
"So they were planning on shutting down half the country for a while to boot." Serena muttered worriedly. "What can we do to help?!"
"Nothing." Gary stated, shaking his head. "These things are very delicate. I want you to get out of here, though. Leaf's Pikachu has the Lightening Rod ability, so we should be able to keep most of the damage at bay-"
"That thing is gonna blow any second now!" Serena exclaimed.
"Serena, we can handle it." Gary muttered, still typing into the screen.
"No you can't!" Serena shook her head. "Don't get yourself killed! It's stupid!"
"We've been through worse, Serena." Gary shook his head. "Trust us."
"But-"
"We're the greatest trainers known to the world. The first dexholders, ever." Leaf said, glaring. "This is not a request. This is an order from your senior and leader to leave." Serena flinched at her cold gaze, taking a step back.
"Come on." Calem muttered, grabbing her upper arm. "Just try to get out alive you two, okay? We'll be waiting for you!"
Leaf simply nodded, turning back to the electric field.
Calem continued to half drag half lead her out, running as quickly as possible to get them to the entrance before something happened behind them. As they were heading down the hallway, a blur of light purple shrouded in white zoomed past them.
Time seemed to slow as Serena as she stared at the profile of the humanoid pokémon that resembled nothing that she's ever seen before, not even in history books. Piercing red eyes stared intently in the direction it was going.
"Leaf..." the word echoed in her brain. Was it the pokémon? "I'm still here."
Time sped up all at once as she stumbled. Calem glanced behind him, a smile on his face, as if to reassure her.
"We're okay! They'll be fine!"
Serena smiled slightly.
"I know..." Serena thought. "I know they're my seniors... I know that Leaf outclasses me in everything... I know they've been through worse and can handle this..." she ducked her head down as the exited, wind still whipping her hair around. "But I'm still worried."
"Oh my!" the two looked up as two people approached them, wearing masks and scarves, the girl in red and the boy in blue. It was the female who spoke."You chased off the mysterious bunch before we could even get here? Well, I guess there's always room for more defenders of Kalos!"
"You and your Pokémon are the ultimate team!" the boy smiled. "No doubt about it! But don't push yourself too hard." he looked to the right, where Lumiose was located. Already Serena and Calem could see the glowing lights. "Thanks to you, the power is back on in Lumiose City. Now people can pass through the gate connecting Route 13 to the city again."
"Well, I think us mysterious people will be off now!" the girl grinned, holding her index finger up. "I leave before being left. I decide." she grinned. "Au revoir!"
And then they both ran off. Calem glanced at Serena. Serena glanced at him. The looked back up at the two people who were now out of earshot. Then Serena let out an unladylike snort, Calem tipping his head back with a howl of laughter. Both fell back on the red dirt, laughing and snickering.
"Sina and Dexio?" Calem asked, grin still evident on his face. Serena nodded.
"Sina and Dexio." she said. "Definitely."
"Lets just let them be." Calem continued to snicker.

It seemed like forever until Leaf and Gary came out of the power plant, with nervous workers, prying news reporters, and police officers standing around, waiting for either the plant to blow or the dexholders to emerge, victorious.
But they weren't the first to come out. No, first a light lavender streak crashed through the roof of the powerplant. Workers and bystanders screamed in surprise while reporters hurried to catch it on video or in pictures, trying to decipher what the object was. Serena shifted slightly. It was the pokémon that passed by earlier. It had to be.
Calem let out a low whistle as it continued to bolt off.
"I wouldn't want to face that thing anytime soon." he said, shielding his eyes. "Talk about a powerhouse."
Reporters suddenly rushed by them, struggling to catch a glimpse or a word of the famous heroes.
"It's Leaf Green!"
Then all hell broke loose. Reporters literally screamed questions while police tried to block them off, getting a safe path for Leaf. Finally, there was a loud roar, and Gary was zooming off on the back of his Charizard, Pigeot's claws around Leafs shoulders as they both flew off. Serena shuddered at the bird. How Leaf could handle that thing carrying her like that, she'd never know.
Things calmed down after they left. Some reporters gathered some of their flying type pokémon to follow, and police went to check out the scene. Workers huddled about for a moment, waiting for the okay to go back into their workplace. Calem and Serena shared a glance.
"Let's get out of here before someone notices. I'll create a distraction." Calem stated, grinning. "Gee!" he said rather loudly, turning somewhat to face the crowd. "I wonder who saved the plant? I heard it was just a couple of kids!"
This sent the reporters into a frenzy, trying to interview the workers on who their saviors were. Calem waved to one of the head scientists, and he, in turn, winked discreetly towards him. Serena assumed that he was in on the fact that Calem wanted to stay anonymous.
Nodding in knowing that his identity was secured, Calem and Serena bolted from the scene.
"I'll beat you to the staircase!" Calem exclaimed.
"No way! I'm wearing these boots and you have sneakers!" Serena exclaimed.
"No my fault you choose to wear improper footwear!"
"Remember you already owe me one outfit from Lumiose." Serena grinned. "I save you back there, so that's two..." she shot a cheery grin at him. "Lets make it three by beating you again!"
"Wha-?! No, my wallet won't be able to handle it!"
"Don't care~!" Serena sang out, taking a few steps ahead of him.
"My pride! At least let me keep that!"
"Nope!" Serena laughed, nearly stumbling down the stairs as she took a glance over her shoulder. Stopping at the bottom, she smiled, watching Calem trip over himself coming down the stairs.
"How... are you able... to run so fast?"
"My mom was a Ryhorn racer. I had fun chasing them and trying to catch them when I was a kid."
"Go figure." Calem sighed, standing up from his hunched over position. Looking up over her head, he blinked. "Holy shizzle..."
"What is it?" Serena asked, turning around, and almost immediately coming face to face with a leg. Taking a step back, she looked up, blinking in surprise at the shear hight of the man in front of her. Serena, in no way, considered herself particularly short, but the guy who stood in front of her was nearly nine feet tall! She literally had to tilt her head back, craning her head simply to see the top of his torn beanie.
"The Pokémon… The flower Pokémon…" he muttered. "The Pokémon that was given eternal life…"
"Ooooookaaaaaaay..." Calem said, watching as he lumbered off, ducking down to get under the gate pass then into Lumiose.
"Why on earth would a nine foot tall disheveled homeless man be wandering the desert?" Serena mused, glancing at him. He shrugged.
"It's just as weird to me." he said, walking around her and tapping her on the nose. "I'm gonna get that outfit for you, though, so then I can get that off my back before you trick me into more."
"Three," Serena responded. "You're up to three, my friend."

I honestly meant to update this, like, two weeks ago, but random crap kept popping up and blocking me from actually getting it done. Sorry!
