Pink is Back - Chapter 2
"Ok, what's going on here, now there's a mysterious pink ranger!" Ethan shouted.
"Well, if she's good, at least there's going to be another girl on the team," Kira said, looking intently at the situation between the Pink and White ranger.
"Wait, how do you know the pink ranger is a girl?" Conner asked, with Tommy, Kira, and Ethan looking up to him... rolling there eyes (even though he couldn't see them because of their helmets, he knew he just made a really stupid comment). "I know, dumb comment, I didn't see the skirt... but I swear, even my dad wears pink..."
"Guys, just stay focused," Tommy snapped. "We don't know what's going to happen here."
"So, there's a new ranger in town," the white ranger said amusingly. "I have to admit, that was a nice trick, reflecting all of my arrows like that, but that was simply child's play. Soon you will feel my wrath for interfering."
"Well, I don't know how I ended up like this, but it's sure good to be back in pink again, oh and by the way, the evil ranger never wins," Kim snapped back as she walked closer to him, challenging him. The other four watched, but suddenly, they heard a mass of Tyrannodrones behind them.
"So we meet again rangers, maybe you should just give up and give me your precious gems," Zeltrax hissed. "I may even spare your lives... for now."
"No way!" Tommy shouted. "You're never going to get a hold of these gems." The tyrannodrones charged at Kira, Conner, and Ethan, while Zeltrax fought with Tommy. On the other side, an impressive array of evasive maneuvers helped Kim dodge every quick move that the White ranger could make. He drew his blade, and carved out more arrows.
"That's it pink ranger, I won't play games with you anymore," the White ranger explained, as he sent the arrows towards her petite frame. Without thinking, Kim summoned her weapon, a double-bladed pink staff, and used it to deflect every single arrow. The white ranger stood in astonishment.
"That's funny," Kim said. "And I was just starting to like this game."
"We will meet again, and next time, you will feel the wrath of my power," the White Ranger shouted as he ran off. Kim saw the others, and wanted to help, but she could feel her power fading, she didn't know how to control it yet. So she too ran off hoping she could learn to sustain her energy.
"Just hang in there you guys," she thinks to herself, as she watches the other rangers battle.
Tommy and Zeltrax were fighting hard, but Tommy was getting the best of him, as he quickly slashed him across the chest, and then across the back. Zeltrax fell to the ground. As it seemed that Tommy were to defeat him, Zeltrax and the rest of the Tyrannodrones vanished into a portal. "DAMN IT, ZELTRAX!" Tommy yelled, as he was sick and tired of Zeltrax retreating all the time.
"Well, at least we know we have another ranger helping us now," Kira explained. "Too bad she didn't stick around for the finale."
"Yea, I wonder who that could have been?" Conner asked. "Wait, Hayley wouldn't have happened to have a pink dino gem on her would she?" he asked Tommy.
"No, trust me, she would have said something before now, and she also told me she never wants to be a ranger, she doesn't think she could handle it," Tommy explained. "She'd rather work behind the scenes.
"Well, maybe we should head back to your place so we can maybe get a lock on that Pink ranger?" Ethan suggested.
*Tommy's House*
"I'm sorry, but I can't get a lock on the Pink ranger energy signature anywhere guys," Hayley told them.
"Speaking of other rangers, Dr. O, didn't you say that you know who the White ranger is," Kira asked.
"Oh man, I nearly forgot, thanks Kira, although, I don't think you're gonna want to know who it is," Tommy said.
"Oh come on Dr. O, it's not like the White Ranger is going to be Trent or anything," Conner said, trying to get a reaction out of Kira.
"How many times do I have to tell you, I don't have a crush on him," Kira said nastily. "Now Dr. O, just tell us..."
"Actually, the White Ranger IS Trent," Tommy said, dropping the bombshell on Kira.
"You know, I hate it when I'm right," Conner said seriously, as tears welled up in Kira's eyes, showing she obviously cared about him. She then stood up and walked up the stairs and ran out of the house. Conner and Ethan tried to go after her, but Tommy stopped them.
"Look guys, it's best if you give her some space, we'll talk more about the subject tomorrow after school," Tommy explained. "I think it would be best if we all got some sleep now, because we all have been working way too much lately." The others agreed, and left.
"This is a major déjà vu for you isn't Tom," Hayley asked, very concerned.
"Yeah, it is."
*Reefside High*
"All right, so I say we do something to cheer Kira up, and then this way later at Dr. O's, we discuss our two huge Pink and White problems," Ethan explained.
"Yeah, I agre... speaking of huge pink, beautiful problems," Conner became infatuated on a certain short woman decked out in pink, a pink spaghetti strap top, and very tight pink spandex pants, with a blue sweatshirt tied around her waist. "Be right back." Conner walked over as if he had no idea she was there, and then purposely bumped into her, trying to make it look like an accident. Kira walked over to Ethan very curious.
"What's the blonde wonder up to this time?" she asked, implying Conner's sudden movement.
"He's fallen in love, for the twentieth time this week," Ethan said, as he and Kira both started laughing.
"Oh my god, I am so sorry, I didn't even see you, there, are you ok?" asked Conner in a very sympathetic voice.
"Oh yea, I'm fine, just startled me a little... Conner McKnight, correct?" the woman asked.
"You know who I am? Well in that case, do you wanna hang out sometime or..." Conner gets stopped short by the woman's sudden burst into hysterics. "Is something wrong?"
"No, I guess since I know you, you should know me, my name is Kimberly Hart... your new phys. Ed instructor." Conner turned white as a ghost.
"I think I'm going to be sick," Conner said as he leaned against a locker so he wouldn't fall flat on his ass from his shock.
"It's ok Conner, really, why don't we start new... as long as you don't try to hit on me anymore," Kim said laughing. Kira and Ethan saw the commotion and walked over to them.
"Go easy on him, please, this is like tenth rejection this week for him," Kira said, trying to keep from laughing.
"Well, I bet it's the first from a teacher, I'm Ms. Hart, your new gym teacher." Ethan and Kira looked in shock, she may have looked a little older, but not old enough to be a teacher.
"Nice to meet you, this is Kira, and I'm Ethan."
"Look, we're really sorr..." Kira started to say, but was interrupted by the bell.
"GET TO CLASS, THE BELL HAS ALREADY RUNG!" Principal Randall screamed. "Ms. Hart, this is not the way to start off your first day here at Reefside!" Randall walked past the group in anger as the whole group chuckled a little.
"Well, do you guys need me to talk to your teachers so you won't get in trouble?" Kim asked.
"Me and Ethan have free study, so no thanks," said Kira.
"Conner?" Kim asked.
"If you don't mind, I have an independent review session for Science, that would be great, even though I acted like I did..." Conner was cut off by laughter by all three.
"It's ok, just don't do it again," Kim explained. "It was nice meeting you two."
"Good to meet you to," they said as they walked off. Kim and Conner walked down the hallway so she could talk to his teacher about him being late when Conner let out a huge sigh.
"You're not still worried about what happened are you?" Kim asked.
"Actually, besides the fact that I'm still a little embarrassed, I'm actually in a good mood now, see, Kira wasn't feeling great last night, and I'm just glad she's a little more chipper this morning, even though it was at my expense." Conner explained.
"You guys are really close aren't you?"
"Yea, the three of us really get along, even though we have our differences. Oh, this is the classroom. Dr. O, sorry I'm late." He says starting to walk through the door.
"I hope you have a pass Conner, I like you and all, but you know school rules, I don't want Randall down my neck again," Tommy said.
"I'll have to do, I held him up a little bit, and..." Kim walked through the door and looked straight at Tommy in utter shock. Tommy returned the look of shock and confusion.
"Kim!?"
