Pink is Back - Chapter 9
"So when can I start preparing my best man speech?" Jason smiled as Tommy looked at him with a half-smile on his face.
"Now that's going too far for right now, we just finally got back together," he explained. "I don't exactly want to rush things right now."
"And I'm being serious too, do you still have that ring that you bought before Kim left for Florida?" Jason asked, this time without a smile on his face this time.
"Yea, what's your point?"
"My point is that..." Jason was interrupted by the alarm, which prompted Kim to also run into the room.
"Tommy, we've got major trouble!"
"Jase, would you like to do the honors?" Jason looked at Tommy and nodded.
"Yea, but I'm changing it up a bit... IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!"
*Reefside Park*
The three rangers showed up, not knowing what to expect. Suddenly, they heard the other rangers approaching on their raptor cycles.
"Hey guys, we came as fast as we could," Conner said as he dismounted his bike.
"What's going on?" Kira asked.
"We have no idea, we heard the alarm and we followed the coordinates that my computer gave us," Tommy explained. "Something doesn't feel right you guys."
"I agree, why would the alarm sound if there isn't anything wrong?" Ethan walked around, puzzled, as his question was suddenly answered, as a beam of light caught him, and he suddenly disappeared.
"ETHAN!" Conner screamed as he ran over to where his friend was, trying to figure out what was going on.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Tommy Oliver and the rangers," A familiar voice hissed.
"Tommy, who is that, he sounds really familiar," Kim asked.
"What do you mean?" Kira asked. "I've never heard that voice before."
"Considering that only Kim and Tommy would be the only two to know who I am..."
"Show yourself, whoever you are," Tommy warned, as he looked around very carefully. All of a sudden, a figure appeared in the distance, and there stood a reptilian creature with long dark hair, and a magic wand in his left hand.
"I am the Wizard of Deception, resurrected by Mesogog so I can destroy you once and for all."
"You're not gonna get away with this!" Tommy yelled as he began to run at the evil wizard.
"Tommy, NO!" Kim screamed, but she was too late, as the wizard used his wand to send Tommy back into the cocoon of amber that had he was trapped in once before. Conner was frozen still, terrified at what he was seeing, as Kira, Jason, and Kim ran over to check on their fossilized friend.
"Oh man, you're not gonna get away with this, Wizard!" Jason yelled.
"You don't understand, White Ranger, I already have."
"I've had enough of this, your going down you big freak," Kira drew her Ptera grips and charged, as Kim ran after her to stop her.
"NO KIRA, that's exactly what he wants you to do!" But Kim was too late, as both Kira and Kim were teleported to another place and time, leaving Jason and Conner all alone.
"Good bye rangers, I will destroy you two later."
"MAN! I can't believe this," Jason was irate, as he pounded on the amber. He then saw Conner, just standing there. "Conner, CONNER! Snap out of it!"
"Wh-what..." Conner realized he had become so frightened that he blanked out. "What have I done!? I let down my friends, my team, my..."
"Take it easy man, it's tough wearing red."
"But I let them down... I just froze... froze while my friends were..." Conner hung his head down low, feeling guilty for not doing anything.
"Hey, if you had run after him, you would have ended up in a fossil or in another place. But you're here, and the two of us, with the help of Trent and Hayley, can put a stop to this guy. We've done it before, and we can do it again." Jason looked at Conner, and knew exactly what type of guilt he felt, just like how he felt when he couldn't stop the Green Candle from burning out.
"Look, why don't we get Tommy back to the lab, we'll call the cyber café and tell Hayley and Trent to come over so they can help free him, and then we can start searching for them. Plus, I bet we can find this Wizard on Tommy's database..."
"Man, where the heck am I?" Ethan wandered around unmorphed in a town which appeared to be very "ancient" compared to modern day Reefside. "It would be nice if I could find a sign or something... wait, I found one!" Ethan rushed over to the sign, and froze at what he saw. "Angel Grove, population 125? This can't be good."
"Hey you, are you all right, you look a little lost?" A stranger called. The stranger wore black hat, black suit, green vest, and white knee-high socks, and his hair was pulled into a ponytail.
"Yeah, umm I guess I am a 'little' lost." Ethan then looked around and to his surprise, the long-haired man looked very familiar. "Dr. Oliver?"
Kira and Kim found themselves on the beach as they began to explore their new surroundings. Kim suddenly realized where they were. "Oh great, same Wizard, same place."
"What are you talking about Kim?"
"We're in Angel Grove, probably over 200 years into the past."
"Angel Grove, that's not too ba... 200 years in the past!"
"At least the military isn't after us this time."
"You would think important details like these would be in Dr. O's video journal, but noooo..."
"We should try to find shelter, since the morphers and gems don't exist during this time, we'll be powerless if that stupid lizard tries to take us out." Kim looked at Kira, who nodded, and went in search of shelter.
"Do you think we'll find Ethan?" Kira asked.
*Dr. O's lab*
"Man, I wish Hayley would get here, I couldn't imagine how bad it must be in there," Conner said as he hung his head down low again. Jason walked over to him and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Look man, every leader has his good moments, and his bad moments. Look at me for example. When I was the red ranger, I had to try and help Tommy by stopping a magical green candle from burning out. If this candle burned out, so did Tommy's powers. I fought and fought, but I didn't get there in time, and Tommy lost his powers." Conner looked on, as he listened carefully to Jason's experience. "But, when Lord Zedd tried to do the same with the other rangers, I was able to stop it, and the other rangers were able to keep their powers. Plus, it all worked out in the end, Tommy became the White Ranger, and the rest became history." Just as Jason finished his tale about his traumatic leadership experience, Hayley came rushing down the steps as fast as she could.
"What did he do this time?" Hayley looked at the two men, and stood patiently waiting for an explanation...
*Mesogog's Lair*
"Everything is going according to plan, my master," the Wizard of Deception spoke to Mesogog and his cronies, waiting for a reply.
"Good, with Dr. Oliver trapped, and the other three rangers lost in time, I will be able to pick them off one by one. Soon, I will have all six dino gems in my possession, and then, I will rule the world."
