Chapter 10 - Pink is Back
"You know, I am really getting sick and tired of getting fossilized," Tommy said as he stretched out his arms and legs.
"Yeah, I'm thankful that wizard didn't make Hayley disappear, otherwise you'd still be stuck in the darn thing," Conner stated nonchalantly. Tommy went wide-eyed, as he realized that Ethan wasn't the only one missing from his lab. He tried to speak, but he couldn't get the words to come, it was too hard for him. He finally composed himself, and spoke, slurring the words a bit.
"Y-you m-mean, Kimberly and Kira..." Tommy put his head down, mentally kicking himself for what happened.
"Yeah, bro, but we'll get' em back, besides, you guys have faced this guy before, so that gives us an advantage," Jason replied, as he walked over and patted Tommy on the back. "Oh, and don't go and feel guilty for what happened, you weren't there to do anything because the Wizard already got to you."
"Jase, it doesn't matter!" Tommy raged, as he started pacing about, Conner had never seen his teacher get so worked up before.
"Dr. O, just chill out, man," Conner said, somewhat sheepishly. "It's my fault anyway, you..."
"Conner, right now is a good time to let your teacher vent," Jason interrupted. "He's got a bit more at stake in this than you realize."
*Angel Grove, Approximately 200 years ago*
"Dr. O?" Tommy stated, not knowing what the African-American male was talking about. "My name is Tommy Oliver, a resident here in Angel Grove."
"So you are Dr. O!" Ethan exclaimed, leaving Tommy to look at him strangely. "Look, my name is Ethan, and I was sent here from the year 2004, and my professor is Tommy Oliver, or Dr. O."
"I see... you didn't happen to be sent here by some lizard-faced looking dude with a magic wand, did you?"
"I don't know, I never saw what happened. All I know is that I was talking to my "team," and I ended up here."
"Team... you mean the power rangers, right?" Ethan stood there baffled at the fact that this Tommy knew about them.
"Look, long story short, this guy named the Wizard of Deception cloned me from "Dr. O" back in 1995, and then when he was defeated, I remained, and helped the side of good. However, since there can't be two Tommy Oliver's in the same time, I decided to come here and live."
"That's cool, how long have you been here?"
"Two and a half years." Ethan spent enough time with his Tommy to know that this one was more somber than normal.
"Why so down?" Ethan wandered over to his "new" friend and looked him in the eyes.
"Well, my girlfriend, or ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth, recently broke up with me."
"I guess things repeat themselves over time." Tommy snapped his head around to Ethan, interested in hearing what he meant by this.
"Why, did something happen to me in the future?"
"Well, Dr. O used to date this girl Kimberly, but she did the exact same thing, about 8 years ago."
"Oh man, that's awful, I remember Kim from my cloned memories, I can't imagine how she could do that. Of course, Elizabeth was like Kimberly's twin, and she did it to me."
"Hey man, don't let it get you down, I also know that Kim and Dr. O are really good friends now, and they still may have that spark that they thought they had lost so many years ago. Speaking of Dr. O and Kimberly, I hope nothing happened to them like it did to me..."
*Outskirts of Angel Grove, Approximately 200 years in the past*
"Man, I hate being back here, why am I always the one who gets sent back in time?" Kim complained while the two walked towards the center of town.
"Well, at least we're not dead... besides, I bet Hayley will get us out of this mess." Kira stood there for a moment after what she had said, and then shook her head. Kim saw her and wondered what the problem was.
"Kira, you ok?"
"No, I'm trying to be brave, but I'm scared. What if I never get back to the same time, what if I never see my friends again... what if I never see..." Kira's voice trailed off as she started crying to herself softly. Kim ran over and put Kira's head on her shoulder, and held her as if she were her daughter.
"Trent... you're afraid you're never going to see Trent again?"
"Ye-yes."
"Everything will be fine, trust me, I know what you're going through right now, I'm freaking out about getting back to my boyfriend too, we just can't give up hope."
"I guess you're right," she shared. "I mean, Trent, Jason, and Dr. O wil... wait a second... did you just use the present tense?"
"Huh?"
"Did you just say that Dr. O IS your boyfriend? As in current?"
"Yeah, you found me out Kira."
"When did this happen?"
"Last night..." Before Kim could explain, Kira stopped her.
"Sorry to interrupt Kim, but I feel like I'm seeing double?"
"Kira, what in the world are you talking about?" Kim looked where Kira was pointing, and Kim's jaw dropped. It looked like an identical twin of her. Kira looked in astonishment.
"Oh geez, and here I thought I could barely handle one Kim," Kira laughed as Kim lightly elbowed Kira on the arm.
*Reefside, Present day*
"Any word on the others?" Conner asked.
"What happened to the others?" Conner, Jason, Tommy, and Hayley turn to find Trent standing there.
"Umm, Trent, you're not going to like this, but, well, uh," Hayley stumbled to find the words, but Jason then put it a bit more bluntly.
"Kira is gone, in a different time, caused by the wizard of deception." Jason explained.
"The wizard of what?" Trent replied. All of a sudden the alarm went off, and the wizard of deception was behind the disturbance.
"That ugly tool that's on the screen," Conner stated. "I'm getting sick of him, let's finish this guy off and get the team back!"
"Wait... don't you think he may be luring us into a trap?" Tommy started in. "Look, I've faced this guy already, and I think I know how we can defeat him.
"What's the plan?" Jason asked.
"We have to get his wand, it's his power source. Once we get that, we can get rid of him, go back in time, save the others, and then use the wand to maybe do some damage to Mesogog and his goons."
"How are we going to get this wand though?" Hayley asked. Conner suddenly stepped up and spoke.
"Well, I've got an idea..."
*Outskirts of Angel Grove, Approximately 200 years in the past*
Kira and Kimberly walked cautiously up to the woman, wondering the entire way why she looked so much like Kim. The two then realized that this woman was bawling. Kira was the first to approach her.
"Excuse me, are you ok?"
"No... but, I'd r-rather n-not ta-talk about it," the other woman responded with her back turned to the both of them. Again, Kira and Kim were astonished at how similar the woman and Kim sounded, their voices were nearly identical. Kim then decided she would give it a try.
"Are you sure we can't help with anything?" The woman became very angry that the two women would not leave her alone, and the two could sense it, and braced for her yelling.
"I all ready told you..." As the woman turned around, she stopped as soon as her eyes fell on Kim, and the two 'look a-likes' stared at each other.
