A/N 1: I'm largely finished editing the story, so the rest should be up soon. I've really appreciated the reviews, it's been an encouragement that this was worthwhile, even when I didn't think it was.
A/N 2: The reason why it's hard for me to find this worthwhile - a lot of this was written when I was 17, without much maturity in my writing. Really, I just wanted to write a Dino Thunder story that had Kim in it where Tommy and Kim got back together, and that was it. I wanted to go back and change a lot of this, but I realized if I wanted to do that, I was going to have to write a completely new story, because the now 29 year old me is a lot different, both as a person and as a writer. Not only that, but most of you wanted the original story, and I knew if I changed it to reflect a lot of things I wanted changed, it would be worlds apart. That's why it was taking so long. All that to say, thank you for your patience.
Pink is Back - Chapter 11
"Y-you... you're like me?" The Kimberly look-a-like stated as she looked at the female rangers. "Who are you?"
"I'm Kimberly, and this is Kira," Kim responded.
"My name is Elizabeth, nice to meet you both."
"Well, I would assume that you want an explanation to what is going on right?" Kim asked.
"Yea, I'd like to know how all of a sudden someone looks, sounds, and acts just like me," Elizabeth said. Kira then decided to speak up.
"Have you ever thought what the future would be like..."
*Present time, Reefside*
Hayley stood at the table, working on her latest invention, one that would hopefully catch the wizard off guard. Conner had come up with the idea of making a holographic image of the three missing rangers, confusing him and buying enough time for the other three to sneak up on him and get the wand. Although the plan itself was nearly foolproof, the construction of Conner's plan was no easy task. Hayley just could not make a small enough projector, nor could she make the projections believable enough. "This is getting ridiculous, I just can't get this thing right!" Tommy, Trent, Jason, and Conner heard her frustration, and hurried to the console.
"Still having problems?" Conner asked.
"I just can't get this thing right, if it works, it isn't working well enough, and if it's fixed to give a clearer projection, the thing doesn't work!" Hayley screamed.
"Guys, I know it's risky, but the Wizard has been on the rampage for hours now, don't you think we should go and try to stop him?" Trent asked. "I mean, you could always use me as a diversion, and..." Tommy quickly interjected.
"There is no way I am letting you go out there, and that's final."
"Is that because I'm not a ranger?" Trent asked in fury.
"That's exactly why you're not going!"
"Guys, stop yelling and let's start think rationally," Jason said calmly. The two then stopped and looked at Jason. "I think we should go at him head on, it might be tough, but he may not suspect it either." The three rangers looked at each other, and nodded.
"Ready, DINO THUNDER POWER UP!" the three said, as they morphed. Jason and Tommy then rode away on their ATV's and Conner with his raptor cycle. Little did they know, they were being watched from a mountaintop above by five beings, covered in long reddish-brownish cloaks...
*Angel Grove, Approximately 200 years ago*
"Man, I can't believe that you're from over 200 years in the future," Elizabeth said, half-smiling at Kimberly and Kira.
"I'm just thanking God that you're taking it so well," Kira sighed.
"Well, we told our story, why were you crying so much?" Kim asked.
"Well, you see, there was this new guy in town, and we became very good friends, and later, we fell in love. However, I started thinking that I had feelings for another, so I sent him a letter telling him that he is only like a brother to me... it was the biggest mistake of my life, I can't believe I let him out of my life!" Elizabeth started bawling, as Kira and Kimberly looked at each other in disbelief.
"That's exactly what happened when you sent the letter to Dr. O, isn't it?" Kira whispered.
"Yeah, this is..." Kim suddenly remembered something, and a smile grew on her face, "not strange at all." Kira's jaw dropped, as Kim put a hand up to silence any comment from her companion. "Elizabeth, what was you ex- boyfriend's name?"
"Thomas... Thomas Oliver." Elizabeth said as tears streamed down her face.
"What, how, why... huh?"
"I know it's confusing Kira, but here's what happened, the wizard made a clone of Tommy back in the day, and when we were done fighting the wizard, the clone of Tommy stayed here, because two Tommy Oliver's can't exist in the same time." Kim explained.
"So basically, history is repeating itself?" Kira replied.
"What do you mean?" Elizabeth asked.
"Well, in my own time, the same exact thing happened to me, I sent a letter to the "other" Tommy Oliver, explaining the same exact things that you had," Kim stated.
"I guess we're destined not to be with him, are we?" Elizabeth asked, on the verge of crying.
"I wouldn't count him out yet, after all, back in the future Tommy and I just got back together." Elizabeth's face lit up when she heard that.
"You mean, I still have a chance to fix what I've done?"
"You better believe it, back home, Dr. O is so madly in love with this girl, it's ridiculous," Kira said, with Kim giving her a death stare.
"Well if I remember correctly, I know a certain guy back home, who is madly in love with you to, you know, that guy named Trent!" Kim and Kira started laughing at each other, as Elizabeth smiled to herself.
'Maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to be with him again," Elizabeth thought to herself.
*Reefside Present Day*
"Be careful guys, remember what happened to Ethan, Kira, and Kim." Tommy said, as the other two rangers stayed right next to him. Suddenly a voice came from behind them.
"Oh, so you don't want to end up like your fellow rangers, unfortunately, I can't allow you to stay here, I must do what my master wishes, so you will go back in the past!" the wizard shouted, as he aimed his wand at the three.
"You're not sending them anywhere," a voice said from behind. The wizard turned around to find five cloaked beings behind him. Then, the one who spoke, took off his hood, as Conner, Jason, and Tommy looked at each other in disbelief.
"Andros?" Tommy said confused, and with that, the others pulled off their hoods to reveal their identities: T.J., Carlos, Ashley, and Cassie. "What is going on?"
"I should be asking the same question, who are you, and why do you interfere with my plans human," the wizard said threateningly.
"Let's just say we're kind of related," T.J said.
"Let's do it guys, LET'S ROCKET!" Andros said, and the five morphed into the space rangers.
"Oh man, I don't know how you guys knew we were in trouble, but I'm sure glad you guys are here," Tommy said to the space rangers.
"Hey, don't thank us until we take care of business," Carlos added in.
"You may want to listen to your black counterpart Tommy, because the eight of you are still in a world of trouble, Tyrannodrones, attack!" The wizard commanded, as twenty of Mesogog's troops appeared, along with Zeltrax.
"So Dr. Oliver, where is your damsel in distress," Zeltrax stood with his sword drawn, trying to lure Tommy in for the kill.
"Zeltrax, Kim is no damsel, if she were here you'd regret it." Tommy challenged as he charged with his brachio staff. As those two fought, Jason and Andros were fighting with the wizard, and Conner, T.J, Cassie, Ashley, and Carlos squared off against the Tyrannodrones.
*Angel Grove, Approximately 200 years ago*
Tommy and Ethan walked along the dirt road, discussing how everything was back in the present day, including what Dr. O was like now, in the future.
"So he teaches science... how in the world did that happen?" Tommy asked.
"I don't know, he's pretty good though, although I guess I do get extra brownie points for being a student outside of class," Ethan replied. Ethan all of a sudden stopped, as he saw Kira, and... two Kimberly's? "Whoa, is it me, or are there two Kimberly's there?"
"No, the one is Kimberly, the other is Elizabeth, my ex..." Tommy's voice trailed off.
"Man, you weren't kidding when you said she was like Kimberly's twin," Ethan replied. "Well, I guess you're just going to have to talk to her, because I have to go over and meet up with Kim and Kira, and there is no way I am letting you out of my sight."
"Wait, what, Ethan, there is no way..." Ethan cut him off and started dragging him towards the three women.
"Kira, Kim!" Ethan shouted to get their attention. Kim and Kira looked to find Ethan and another man with him.
"Ethan!" the two screamed as they ran over towards the two. All of a sudden, they realized who the other guy was. However they could say anything, the other girl spoke up.
"Hi, Tommy," Elizabeth said, biting her lower lip.
"Why don't we give them a little privacy," Kim said as she pulled Kira and Ethan away from the two.
"Hi Elizabeth, how are you?" Tommy asked.
"Just helping those girls, they were lost..." Tommy cut her off.
"I meant how are you and your boyfriend." At this point, Elizabeth started bawling.
"Tommy, there never was another guy, it was just my foolishness, I thought that we weren't right for each other, but the more I thought about it, I realized what a fool I was to let you go... I love you Tommy." Tommy stood there shocked, he had no idea that this was the response that he would get from her.
"I can't believe it took me eight years to get that out, and it only took her one, man how pathetic am I?" Kim said. Kira chuckled as Ethan looked at her confused.
"So, you guys got back together?" Ethan asked.
"Of course she got back with Dr. O, it was so obvious that they loved each other in the first place!" Kira shouted. "Now quiet everyone, I want to hear the rest of their conversation." The three then listened carefully to what Tommy and Elizabeth.
"If I knew what I was doing, I would have never written that letter, but I didn't. I should have listened to my heart, but I was too foolish to. Please give me one more chance, I love you with all of my heart and soul Thomas Oliver!" Elizabeth pleaded. Tommy looked up at Elizabeth, and gave her a heart-warming smile.
"I love you too, beautiful..." As Tommy finished, the two kissed in the middle of the road, not caring who saw, and not caring what else happened to them. All that mattered to them was that they loved each other.
"Ok, now I really need to get back home," Kim said, as Kira and Ethan chuckled.
"Oh I see, Kim is jealous that she has no Tommy to kiss," Ethan laughed, and Kira followed suit, Kim just smiled, but then looked back to the ground.
'Tommy, where are you?'
*Reefside, Present Day*
The tyrannodrones were being wiped out by Conner and the rest of the space rangers, as they only had a few of them left to defeat. Tommy had the upper hand on Zeltrax for the time being, but Andros and Jason were having some difficulty with the wizard of deception. The wizard shot beams of energy at them as they attacked, but they were able to dodge them. However, the wizard was a splendid fighter, as he used his wand as a hand weapon, fending the two warriors off.
"You power rangers really are stubborn, you know that?" the wizard hissed.
"Drago sword, Fire!" Jason used the sword to carve arrows and sent them towards the wizard. The wizard then used his wand to shield himself, and deflected them all back towards Andros and Jason.
"You fools, I know all of your tricks, you can't defeat me!" The wizard said. However, a young man suddenly snuck up behind the wizard and kicked the wand out of his hand.
"You're toast wizard!" Trent yelled, as Andros leaped into the air and caught the wand.
"NO!" The wizard yelled, as Andros used the wand to destroy him. The other rangers crowded around Andros and the unmorphed Trent, as they stood before Zeltrax and the remaining tyrannodrones.
"This war is not over Dr. Oliver," Zeltrax hissed as he and the others disappeared into the portal.
The eight rangers then unmorphed, as Andros held the wand.
"Thanks guys, if it weren't for you, we might've been history," Jason said.
"No problem, I was out here checking for anymore potential problems, and then I saw this wizard show up," Andros said. "So I contacted the other space rangers, and we got here as fast as we could."
"Andros, can you pass me the wand, I'm going back to get the others," Tommy stated. Andros threw it to him, but before he could use it, Jason stopped him.
"So, are you gonna ride in on a white horse for Kimberly?" Jason said sarcastically, as the others laughed.
"Funny Jase," Tommy said, as he used the wand to go back in time.
*Angel Grove, Approximately 200 years ago*
Tommy and Elizabeth just stood there, holding each other in their arms, as the other three looked on. "Man, talk about a major Kodak moment," Ethan said.
"Yeah, tell me about it," Kim said in a depressed tone. Right then, the other Tommy appeared behind Kimberly.
"Speaking of Kodak moments," Kira smiled. Kim looked at her funny as both Kira and Ethan saw her love right behind her.
"I guess we're perfect in every time period," Tommy said, as Kimberly's face lit up, she then turned around and wrapped her arms around her white knight.
"I love you so much, Tommy."
"I love you too, beautiful," Tommy said as the four of them were transported back to the future by the wand.
