Pink is Back - Chapter 12
Kira, Kim, Ethan, and Tommy returned to present day Reefside to find it deserted. The four looked at each other, somewhat frightened. Kim was the first who had enough to courage to speak up.
"Do you think Mesogog got his hands on Jase and Conner when you left Tommy?"
"I doubt it, he would have had to capture not only Jase and Conner, but Trent, Andros, T.J, Carlos, Cassie and Ashley as well."
"Well, then that would make it har... wait a minute, who are the five that you just mentioned?" Kim asked confusedly. "I've never even heard of them before."
"They were the space rangers, right?" Ethan replied. "Andros was the one who destroyed that tube thingy to rid the universe of evil I believe."
"Oh," Kim said depressed. She had known about the sacrifice that Zordon made, but she wished she could have seen him one last time before he died. Besides the letter, it was her greatest regret.
"Hey, don't get down now, we need to find them," Tommy said. All of a sudden, their dino gems beeped. "Tommy here, we read you."
"Hey, it's Jase, meet us at these coordinates..."
The four rangers walked to the location that Jason had described, only to see a very large, seemingly unoccupied building. "Is it me, or does it seem like this hell hole is in the middle of nowhere?" Ethan complained.
"I think I know exactly where we're going, so be patient," Tommy replied, making the other three curious to what their ending destination would be like. They walked into the large building to find it dark and gloomy.
"We definitely need lights... and something to clear up the smell in this place," Kim stated a matter-of-factly. As soon as she said her words, the lights snapped on, and they saw a huge spaceship, one of a design they had never seen before, except for Tommy...
"This must be the new Super Space Cruiser that Andros was talking about back a couple years ago," Tommy said as the other three looked at him with wide-eyes.
"Wait, when did you talk to Andros at all? Didn't you leave before he joined the team?" Kim asked.
"Yea, but we met a couple years later, we were the two that kept an eye on the moon so that Serpenterra wouldn't fall into the wrong hands, and the ones who assembled all the red rangers for our mission to the moon when the machine empire tried to uncover it."
"Man, this is intense," Ethan said. As he said that, the hatch to the Space Cruiser opened. Kira, Kim, and Ethan looked at Tommy, who gave them the go ahead to proceed onto the spacecraft. The four then followed the lit hallways of the ship to find the central room. As they approached, Kim heard a familiar voice.
"Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi, this is so exciting, I can't believe you're a ranger again Jason," the voice said, as the other four finally made it to the room.
"Alpha!" Kim ran over and gave the little robot a hug, as the other rangers smiled.
"Kimberly, Tommy, it's great to see you again... Ay-yi-yi, oh the nostalgia," Alpha said as the other 11 rangers, Trent, and Hayley all laughed at the little robot. Tommy then spoke up to the others.
"Andros, I'd like you and the other space rangers to meet the rest of my team."
After the introductions, Andros, Jason, Alpha, Tommy, Conner, Trent, and Hayley all stood in the central room while the others rested a little, as they tried to devise a plan to stop Mesogog. The group talked for hours before Conner had an idea.
"We could just send in a small unit, infiltrate, and then strike internally!"
"You want to send just one or two rangers in to face all of those tyrannadrones?" Tommy asked, remembering how hard it was to escape from them on the island that short time ago.
"Well... when you put it that way..."
"Even if we got to Mesogog, we still don't know if we could destroy him or not, he could prove to be more powerful then we all think," Jason replied.
"You guys can't destroy them, well, you can't destroy Mesogog, Zeltrax, or Elsa," Trent suddenly piped up.
"What do you mean, we can't?" Conner asked.
"I think I know what you're talking about Trent," Andros stated. "Those three are actually human, right?"
"Not just human, people we know... people we love..." Tommy cut Trent off when he realized who he was talking about.
"Oh man... Trent, Mesogog... it's Anton Mercer, isn't it." Trent nodded, confirming that his father was the man behind the whole operation.
"But who are the other two?" Hayley asked.
"Elsa is Principal Randall, and Zeltrax... he's your former partner Dr. O, Terence Smith," Trent finished.
"I get it now, why Zeltrax is always after me, he thinks I'm guilty for what happened to him." Tommy hung his head down low, as Jason went over to him.
"Look man, what happened to him wasn't your fault, none of this was," Jason told him.
"I know," Tommy replied. "But now we can't just go in and destroy them."
"Wait, what about the wand from the wizard of deception?" Andros asked.
"We could use the wand to change them into their normal forms!" Conner stated.
"Well, we don't have much time, the wand is starting to run out of energy, we have to think of our plan, now," Hayley replied.
"All right, but in the mean time, Alpha, send out a distress signal, we're going to need all the help we can get," Tommy told the little robot as Alpha went and sent the signal.
Trent had just gotten out of the meeting that the rangers had, when Kira grabbed him by the shoulder. "So your dad, he's Mesogog?" Kira asked.
"Yeah... I should have told you all sooner, but I didn't want anything to happen, I wish none of this never would have happened!" Trent shouted, as he kicked the wall.
"We'll fix this, I promise you that." Kira then kissed Trent, and the two held each other.
"I don't know what I would do without you Kira, I think I'd go crazy if I didn..." Trent was suddenly interrupted by a voice on the P.A. system of the ship.
"Rangers, report to War room immediately."
"So what's the plan?" Carlos asked.
"We attack, head on," Tommy replied.
"What? That's crazy, there are thousands of tyrannodrones waiting for us there," Ethan stated.
"There has to be another way," Cassie said.
"Guys, hear us out," Jason stepped forward with Andros, with the wand in his hand.
"Our plan is to use eight of us to fight off the tyrannodrones, and to send three to find Mesogog, Elsa, and Zeltrax," Andros added.
"When we find those three, we can use the wand to change them back into their human forms," Tommy stated.
"I'm in," Kim said.
"Me too," Ashley followed
"Not even a question for us," T.J said.
"Dino-thunder's game as long as the rest are," Conner stated for the group.
"Then it's settled, we leave in an hour," Andros stated, as the others left to rest.
Hours later, Tommy and Kim walked into the Mess hall of the ship, they remained silent throughout, but finally Tommy opted to break it. "Look, Kim, I wanted to talk to you about, well, about us."
"What about?"
"You see, this battle... I'm scared for it, I've never been so scared in my life, there are so many uncertainties, and it's the first time in eight years that I've actually had something to fight for."
"Tommy, what do you mean?"
"What I mean, is that, for all this time, I've felt empty, like a hollow shell, and that I was just fighting until someone took me out. But now, I have a reason to live, I have a reason to survive... I just hope that fate doesn't have me or my dreams die, when I finally have a reason to live."
"Tommy, don't talk like that, nothing is going to happen tomorrow, we will survive, I promise." Tommy thumbed in his pocket for a jewelry box, but thought very hard about actually proposing. 'If I do it now, I'm just doing it because I'm afraid I won't make it tomorrow... I won't be fighting for my future.' With that, he decided to keep the little box inside his pocket. Tommy then looked up and smiled at Kim.
"I'm so glad to have you back in my life."
"And I'm glad to have my white knight back."
'I only hope and pray, that after the battle, she will be my bride.'
