Amy, Jaimee, and John have now arrived in Italy and are awaiting Matt Ashley's husband to pick them up at the airport.
John: So Mom where is this Uncle Matt, I'm starting to get hungry.
Amy: Be calm John he'll be here. (buttoning Jaimee's coat.)
Jaimee: Mommy I'm hungry too can I have something to eat.
Amy: Well maybe we can get something out of the resturaunte's here at the airport.
Matt: I wouldn't do that if I were you having family eat at one of these low budget fast food dives as we call it would not do for one of the owners of the best hotel in Italy.
Amy: Matt. Hi you look amazing (Shocked at how attractive Matt is and that he is English, gives him a hug.)
Matt: I can say the same for you, and I see beauty runs in Ashley's family. (hugs her as well) And you must be Johnathan and Jaimee Ashley's nephew's it is a pleasure to meet you (extends his hands to shake with John and Jaimee who are surprised to see him)
John: (takes his hands and shakes it) Thank you and please don't call me Johnathan it's just John.
Jaimee: (imMitating his older brother) and call me... ughh Jaimee.
Matt: Okay John, and Jaimee. Call me Matt or Mathew. Just don't call me what your Aunt Ashley call's me when she's mad. Which I don't think should be repeated
John: Do you mind if we call you Uncle Matt?
Matt: I would be delighted if you did, we are family after all. Now we should get going we only have an hour before Ashley wakes.
Amy: Is everything okay, when we last spoke I thought Ashley was doing fine.
Matt: Well she is fine and so are the babies, but the doctor recommended she remain in bed for the duration of the pregnancy. Unfortunately Ashley is very energetic, self sufficient, resiliant, and...
Amy: Stubborn as a mule, and refuses to have anyone help her because she's too proud.
Matt: You really know your sister.
Amy: Yes, she has been like that since she was four years old, and refused to have nap time because she wasn't tired. It was so weird the teacher actually took me from my first grade class to play with Ashley during nap time since they were scheduled at the same time.
Matt: She must have been a hand full for you as an older sister.
Amy: No, in fact I kind of liked it because I never liked nap time either. Ashley was just the only person who had the courage to say or do anything about it. We had some great times during that non nap time.
Matt: You must have really cared about her.
Amy: I did. I don't know what happened after that. She was there for me whenever I needed her. Once upon a time she was my best friend. I wish to God, that I can get that back.
Matt: Well maybe this trip will change all that, and I will have a complete family with her, me, the babies, and the rest of her family and my own.
Amy: So Matt how many other relatives do yo have as they gathered their bags and went to Matt's car. (2014 CADILAC ESCULADE)
Matt: Yes, I have four older siblings. I have two brothers Kenneth, and Albert, who both live in London, and help my father run his mortgage company. My sister Helena who I don't know if you know is an actress on one of your American Soap Opera's. Last, but definitely not least my sister Diana, who is a lawyer and is the only person who actually isn't afraid to challenge Ashley which made them get along perfectly.
Amy: Someone actually isn't afraid to stand up to Ashley, that is a shock.
Matt: Well, your sister is quite intimidating, but England has very few female lawyers who wish to also take a seat on Parliament one day and that is what Diana wishes. So, my sister decided that in order to be strong and make her dreams come true she decided to face all challenges.
Amy: She sounds amazing, and she and Ashley are close.
Matt: Very, but I think she is mainly close to her because she wants Ashley to give her inside information on Benjamin.
Amy: Ben, so your sister has a thing for Ben.
Matt: Oh, yes it is quite the crush. It got even more intense when she found out about Ben's plans for his foundation.
Amy: Foundation?
Matt: Well, I would tell you but it is not my place to say. But, Ben has very many plans for the future, and that is why Ashley was so worried about him taking over his father's company for a year. She was very worried that he might let his past with all of you keep him from fulfilling his dreams.
Amy: So he and Ashley are really close.
Matt: Like a brother and sister. When I first took over the resturante I thought no man could handle your sister. Then Ben visited her for your Thanksgiving Holiday.
John: What do you mean by our Thanksgiving Holiday?
Matt: Well, Thanksgiving is not celebrated internationally. Technically it is an American Holiday that was celebrated by the Indians and the Pilgrims. Other countries celebrate other holidays that they don't celebrate with America.
John: So Ben Boykevich comes here and spends that holiday with Aunt Ashley. Were they seeing each other or something?
Amy: John, that is not your concern.
Matt: It's alright Amy. To answer that John, you would have to talk about it with your Aunt, and Ben. I asked, and I am still having problems hearing out of my left ear from how she screamed at me.
Amy: That sounds like Ashley. So, how did you get away from her too come and pick us up?
Matt: Well my sister Diana is with her now, and she is distracting her while I am here.
Amy: So how did you keep the fact that I was coming from her.
John: Yeah, how did you keep from lying to her. Mom said her sister can tell when someone is lying.
Matt: I didn't lie John, I never lie, lying is wrong. I told her the complete and absolute truth.
Amy: So she knows we're here.
Matt: No, she thinks my sister in law Karen is coming with her two boys. She's married to my brother Albert with two son's. Stephen and Collin they're twins and the same age as you John.
John: So you did lie.
Matt: I didn't lie I just told her that my sister in law was coming with her boys to help out with her, and left out which sister in law.
John: So it was a lie.
Matt: I told you it was not a lie. I just embellished on the truth.
John: How is that different from lying?
Matt: A lie is a falsication of what is actually happening. Embellishing is not telling a person the complete truth or leaving out certain facts, and details.
Jaimee: Mom can I embellish.
Amy: No. Embellishing is just as wrong.
John: So what Uncle Matt is doing is wrong.
Amy: No, some times it's okay, but only in cases like this.
John: Good to know.
Amy: Matt I think you just set me up for a trap in the future.
Matt: Sorry... So how is Ben doing while he's back home? Ashley and I have both been very worried about him, especially since he hasn't scheduled his operation yet.
Amy: Operation?
Matt: Of course Ben didn't tell you about his condition. Of course he wouldn't because Ben never tell's anyone anything.
John: So what is happening with Uncle Ben.
Jaimee: He's our uncle.
Amy: Yeah John, since when is your Uncle?
John: Since Dad, told me about all he did for me. Only family or someone who really loves and cares about you. Since I don't have a God Father like Jaimee has Jack, and Ben is as close as they come for me. Do you think he would mine?
Amy: So you want Ben to be your God Father.
John:Could you honestly think of someone better. It's also why I want Adrian to be my God Mother.
Amy: (smiles realizing she couldn't) No I really don't think I could imagine any two people better for you, as God Parents.
John: So what is wrong with him, Uncle Matt.
Matt: Ben has Chrohn's disease which he needs to have an operation to place it into remission.
John: Chrohn's a kid at my school has it. He's really embarrassed about it, because it makes him have to use the bathroom a lot, but I didn't think it was dangerous.
Matt: Well it is, and Ben has it. He's managed to keep it under control because he's been eating healthy and taking medication. The operation is to make sure it goes into remission.
Amy: Is there a cure.
Matt: No, unfortunately he will live with it for the rest of his life. But unlike others Ben contracted his through a parasite, and that is more dangerous because it affects his immune system which makes it hard for him to fend off other infections that he may contract.
Amy: When did all of this happen.
Matt: About a two years ago, during his trip to South Africa.
John: That's when Grampa Leo stopped wanting to see me and Dad. Mom could that be the reason.
Amy: Probably.
Matt: Well here we are
Jaimee: Wow this place is amazing. (looks at the large hotel that resembles a white castle.)
Matt: It's okay, not as big as other hotels here in Bolonia, but it is in the top ten.
Amy: I have to say this place is truly magnificent and you own it.
Matt: Yes, I do.
Amy: So how did you come to own Ben's Uncle's hotel.
Matt: Well Ben's Uncle was also my Uncle he was my God Father.
Amy: So you and Ben knew one another growing up.
Matt: Yeah, we used to be close but we like you and Ashley had a falling out.
Amy: What happened?
Matt: A girl we both liked chose him over me.
Amy: Really, who was the girl.
Matt: Maria Mancini, her father was an olive oil distributor.
Amy: Maria!
Matt: Yes, Ashley mentioned that you knew of her.
Amy: So tell me did you know how they fell for one another.
Matt: It happened by accident. Ben thought she looked like a girl named Adrian, and they ended up talking. Ben being Ben told her about his life. Maria loving a challenge found him much more interesting than a geeky Londoner from boarding school like herself.
John: You're a geek, I could never tell.
Matt: I don't look like it now, but time changes people. Back in the day Ben was actually more of a jock than myself, take a look. (opens his wallet and shows a picture of a boy looking like 11 year old Harry Potter) As you can see Ben was much more manly than I.
Amy: Well you and Ben have certainly grown into your looks.
Matt: Thank you. You are quite fetching yourself.
Jaimee: Mommy I'm still hungry can we eat now.
Matt: Of course go into the restaurant and order whatever you like, and I'll get you all checked in.
Amy: I really didn't expect to get a suite in this hotel it must be expensive, how much will this cost a night?
Matt: Don't worry family members have a reserved suite that is not billed. Ben's family also have one it was how our Uncle wanted it when he died.
Amy: I'm confused how are you related to Ben?
Matt: Ben's Uncle Adolfo is the Leo's uncle. During the World War II Mussolini dissolved the aristocracy of Italy and made all the royal families no more than vagrants, and enemies in their own land. This caused many of the families to flee for their lives. Leo's uncle was one of the few nobles who stayed to fight Mussolini and take back their country. When Mussolini was deposed all of the land was returned to the families that stayed to fight. But in actual history most of Bolonia was once part of the Boykevich family province which had been awarded to them for their loyal service as soldiers, spies, and writers to the original crown of Italy. Even though Adolfo received his land back he gave over 90% back to the people to help them rebuild and only kept this building which was his families ancestral home. He asked his brother Leo's father Franklin to return home, but by then he had already made a life for himself in America, and did not wish too return. At that time my Grandfather was a soldier who fought along side him during the battles to free Italy and they became very good friends. When I was born my father made it clear that I would be Adolfo's son. So from age 5 I have been coming here and helping out with the hotel.
John: Wow, so you mean Ben is actually royalty.
Matt: Why do you think Leo called himself the Sausage King. Rumor has it that Leo's Great Grandmother actually used to be the mistress of the king of Italy, and his Grand Father was his true first born son. Leo is the son of the First Born. Which would make Ben the actual king of Italy if it was still a monarchy.
Amy: So Ben is really a Prince.
Matt: I sometimes think that is why Maria wanted him more than me.
John: So Granpa Leo really was a king after all.
Matt: Yes he was. Well, I'll let you all get something to eat, and meet you in your suite later. (gives Amy the key to the room)
Amy: Thank you. (takes the key and leads the boys to the restaurante).
TRANSITION:

Temporary Home of Adrian Lee:
Reuben: Coming.
Ricky: Hi Reuben is Adrian here.
Reuben: Yes, she is. (looks skeptical and worried with Ricky here to see Adrian) Ricky, are you sure you should be here to see Adrian.
Ricky: Reuben, it's nothing like you think,
Reuben: You mean like you coming here to try and sleep with my daughter again, like you used to do when she was a teenager.
Ricky: Reuben, you have to believe me I would never do anything to hurt Adrian like that again.
Reuben: I would like to believe that Ricky, I really would. But, with you and Amy having problems, her being in Italy, and you already having cheated on her gives me cause to worry.
Ricky: Rueben, you have to believe me when I say, I'm only here to clear the air with Adiran, and nothing more.
Reuben: So her being single, and thinking of getting back together with Ben isn't on your mind.
Ricky: No, it is on my mind that is why I'm here.
Reuben: So you are here to try and stop her from being with Ben again.
Ricky: No, just the opposite. Look Reuben, I admit when Adrian and I were together I made a lot of mistakes, but so did she. But I promise you that today, I'm only here as her friend.
Cindy: Reuben please get out of the way. Come in Ricky. Adrian you have company! (takes Reuben by the hand and leads him away.)
Reuben: Why are you letting this happen you know nothing good ever happened with those two being alone together. Or is it you want our daughter to start up with him again, and have her go through the same drama.
Cindy: No, I think we should let our daughter decide for herself what she wants to do.
Reuben: We did that the first time and she ended up sleeping with him til he broke her, and then got pregnant, and married. Only to lose the baby, and throw away her marriage to someone that really loved and cared about her. Then to see her marry another guy she didn't love, who wanted to turn her into someone she was not all so she wouldn't be alone. Letting our daughter do what she wants is not a good thing.
Cindy: Reuben have faith. Which is the one thing that I think we need to have right now.
Reuben: Oh please Cindy, you know as well as I do that Ricky was never good for her. You knew that even though we liked Omar he was too controlling and pushy. So far of all my daughter's boyfriends and that includes Max, the only one that truly made her happy was Ben, and he actually loved her and she him. Now after all these years of seeing her go through a bad marriage, and being miserable, with him trasping all over the world they finally have a chance to be together again, and you want to ruin it by letting her have on last fling with Ricky Underwood.
Cindy: No Reuben, I don't. But, unlike you I remember why our daughter's marriage to Ben failed, and it wasn't just because of the loss of our grand daughter. It was because neither Ben nor Adrian were ready to be together, because both had never gotten true closure from their relationships with Ricky and Amy. The same way neither of us could ever have a relationship, because we never got closure. If they are going to try again then both Ben and Adrian have to start clean. That means that both have to get closure. From what Anne told me about Amy and Ben they got closure, but Adrian and Ricky have been avoiding it for years.
Reuben: But what if Adrian and Ricky are like you, and me and they want to get back together.
Cindy: Then we will deal with it, but it's better than having our daughter and Ben go through the same situation all over again.
Reuben: I just don't like them together, nothing good ever came of it.
Cindy: Just have faith Reuben that our daughter is mature enough both mentally, and emotionally now to do what is best for her. If that is being with Ricky or Ben then let's just stand by her.
Reuben: I really wish I had your faith.
Cindy: I had faith in us didn't I.
Reuben: Good point.
Cindy: Now be quiet so I can listen on what they're saying/
KITCHEN AREA: With Adrian and Ricky
Adrian: Ricky what are you doing here?
Ricky: I came here to talk to you and really clear the air.
Adrian: Sure what did you want to talk about? But, first let's go outside I don't want these WALL's WITH EAR'S! to listen. (both step outside.)
Ricky: Okay
Adrian: You're not here for the last kiss again, I have had that and don't want to repeat it.
Ricky: No, I want to apologize. Something I should have done eleven years ago when you and I first broke up.
Adrian: We've done this already you never loved me, you love Amy, and you didn't want to be with me it was all for the sex.
Ricky: Adrian that wasn't true. I did love you. I still love you.
Adrian: Ricky, don't not now. When I wanted to hear those words it was eleven years ago, but I don't want to hear them now.
Ricky: I know, but you need to hear them now like you needed to hear them eleven years ago before you married Ben, before you got pregnant. Before you even slept with Ben.
Adrian: Ricky, don't. Sleeping with Ben may have been a mistake but I don't regret it.
Ricky: And you shouldn't. But, I know that you do regret it. I know that you slept with him to get back at me, and it was my fault. That is what I'm sorry for.
Adrian: Ricky trust me a lot more than you kissing Amy went into kissing Amy, made me sleep with Ben.
Ricky: Believe it or not I know that.
Adrian: How would you know that?
Ricky: I knew you Adrian, just like you knew me, and I saw how you would look at Ben. I saw how you acted when his name was mentioned. I knew that every time you even spoke his name there was never something there.
Adrian: So you're telling me that you kissed Amy so I would sleep with Ben.
Ricky: No, but I knew you didn't sleep with him just to get back at me. I guess that is what made me angry. Because I knew once you slept with him you would always question your feelings for me after that.
Adrian: Oh really, is that why you said nothing while I threw myself at you even after I married Ben.
Ricky: Like I said before Adrian I'm sorry. I just knew I wasn't the man for you.
Adrian: Why. Why weren't you the man for me?
Ricky: Because of how you are acting right now. All clinched up, on the defensive, angry. You always did that around me, you did it around Omar when you were married, but you never did it with him. You always let yourself be vulnerable with him, and never anyone else.
Adrian: That's because I could trust him. He never once made me feel unsafe, or tried to hurt me, even when he did, it was literally at his breaking point.
Ricky: I know. That is why I could never be the man for you. Ben cared about you more than he cared about anyone else. That includes Amy. I didn't.
Adrian: Why not? Wasn't I good enough?
Ricky: No, not to me.
Adrian: (is saddened by that but not shocked) Let me guess because she was the nice innocent little virgin and I was the school slut.
Ricky: No, because she was the mother of my son. She would always be more important to me because she was important to John. Because he was the one who would always come first in my life, and since Amy is his mother she would also come before you.
Adrian: So, John is the reason. Like I thought.
Ricky: John isn't the only reason he's just he primary reason.
Adrian: So what is the rest.
Ricky: The rest is me. Adrian my dad was a monster, and you of all people know he put a monster in me. I would use women for sex, and make them feel loved and I would hurt them in the end. You were different. You knew me better than that, and that is what made me love you. But, it also made you more dangerous.
Adrian: How. How was I dangerous to you Ricky.
Ricky: Because you knew me so well, you also knew how to hurt me.
Adrian: You know I would never want to hurt you.
Ricky: But you did, you hurt me, just like I hurt you. No matter how much we cared for each other Adrian all we would end up doing is hurting each other. I cared about you too much to keep doing that to you. To keep lying to you and cheating on you. I would push you away and push you to the edge, and I never knew how to bring you back from that. I would have kept doing that until I either made you jump over that edge or pushed you over. I couldn't do that to you, and live with myself after that.
Adrian: So I get to be dumped all because I got pregnant by Ben and not you.
Ricky: Adrian honestly do you really think us having a baby together would have solved anything?
Adrian: Yes. No. I don't know.
Ricky: It wouldn't because then you, I, and Amy would have just been arguing over our kids, while they suffered watching us fight, and bicker for my attention. I didn't want to do that with John, and I would never do that to another child.
Adrian: So you didn't want a family with me ever.
Ricky: If I said no I would be lying. But, do you really believe you would have been happy being pregnant with my child over Ben's. You were eighteen, still in high school, and you came to school with a smile on your face every day. I knew no matter what I did Adrian I could never make you feel like that. I don't think anyone could ever make you feel like that, accept him.
Adrian: (hmph. thinking to herself) You do know me better than anyone.
Ricky: Yes, I do. I know that you two can't try again until you know for certain that you and I are done.
Adrian: How do I do that.
Ricky: Remember when we last kissed.
Adrian: Yeah, I felt nothing, and it still wasn't enough.
Ricky: That's because I never told you that I did feel something. It's why my marriage is on the rocks right now.
Adrian: Why didn't you say anything then if you still had feelings for me?
Ricky: Because I'm like Ben, I pretended that I didn't feel anything.
Adrian: Well did this with Ben, I just hope I feel nothing again, because I don't want to hurt him again.
Ricky: Hey, you aren't the one with a job, a family, and a guy whose like a brother on the line.
Adrian: Right, sucks to be you if you still feel something.
Ricky: Yes it does. (takes Adrian in his arms and the kiss very passionately)
Adrian: Nothing...You (looks at Ricky puzzled)
Ricky: Nothing
Rueben/Cindy: YES THEY FELT NOTHING! (have been watching and listening from the hallway window upstairs.)
Reuben: We were watching a movie
Adrian: In the hallway?
Cindy: Well now that you two are truly done we'll let you be alone now.
Adrian: Nothing is ever secret in this town.
Ricky: Thank you Adrian for letting me fall in love with you, and teaching me to trust, and helping me love others.
Adrian: Thank you for teaching me I wanted love.
Ricky: I'm sorry I could never give you the love you needed.
Adrian: Yeah, the same for me but we found it.
Ricky: No, you found it. I have to continue working on it, or continue looking.
Adrian: Either way good luck with both.
Ricky: Good luck with Ben.
Adrian: Thanks, but after tonight, I really don't think we'll need it. Ricky do you think if things had been different we would have made it.
Ricky: I would like to think so, but I think like Omar, you would have realized you didn't need me. That would have crushed me. (gets into his car and leaves)
Adrian: I would have needed you Ricky. Just like needed you tonight thanks for being here.

CENTRAL APARTMENT OF MATT & ASHLEY HARDING

(After having a traditional Italian meal of pizza, spaghetti, and Fountain sodas with ice cream, Amy, John, and Jaimee went to their rooms to freshen up, and then to the main penthouse where Matt and Ashley live to let Ashley know of their presence)
Amy: Hi Matt, we came to see if it was okay to see Ashley now.
Matt: Well, Ashley is still resting, and my sister went to the cinema for a show.
Amy: Matt you have a ver lovely apartment Matt.
Matt: Thanks, but this was all Ashley's doing. I thought she wanted drab dark colours like her original apartment, but the moment we got married she wanted white, and bright.
Amy: You must have really brought out the best in her, because she used to love dark colors growing up.
John: Exscuse me, can I use the bathroom.
Amy: Are you feeling alright sweety.
John: I'm fine, but six cherry fountain drinks go right through you.
Matt: Upstairs on the right by the picture of the angry clown, and trust me I know what you mean bud. (pats his stomach) Ashley found the just right mixture of drink soda, and seltzer water for the fountain, with a few other ingrediants to make even our kids drinks popular.
Amy: Ashley is still cooking here.
Matt: She's the top cook, and now the acting hotel manager.
Amy: She's still working for you.
Matt: Ashley's rule she wanted to earn her own money so everything dealing with the hotel does not enter these walls. It's our sanctuary which made it easy for me being her boss to force her on maternity leave.
Amy: So you used Ashley's own rules against her.
Matt: Yeah, I decided to leave one eye open at night after that one.
Amy: Good decision.
UPSTAIRS WITH JOHN:
John: Ahhhhhhhhhhhh... (relieving himself and washes his hands)
Ashley: Matt, Diane. Where are those two they're supposed to be taking care of me, I am carrying kids. (walks out into the hallway)
John: (opens bathroom door unaware he steps in front of Ashley) Excuse me.
Ashley: (taken in shock as she see's the young person before her. It is odd but she recognizes his red hair, and bright brown eyes as her nephew instantly)
John: Hi, I'm not sure if you remember me, but. (is taken into a tight hug around his neck by Ashley as she stokes her hand through his thick red hair and holds him close to her)
Ashley: Johnny...(tears of joy and sadness exit her. she hates being pregnant it makes her so emotional) Of course I know who you are I'd recognize you anywhere.
John: Aunt Ashley, I can't breathe.
Ashley: John, I'm sorry. You look so older. How did you get here.
Amy: (worried what is taking John so long and goes up to check on him, and see's Ashley. Her younger sister looking so much older with shorter hair that is shoulder length, wearing a blue, and black maternity dress, looking even more pregnant than herself, holding John and crying.) He's here because I brought him here.
Ashely: Amy...
Amy: Hello Ash. It's nice to see you again...
(Both Amy and Ashley are shocked with feelings that both have been keeping since they saw one another nine years ago. Ashley is mixed with anger, hurt, sadness, and betrayal. Amy is feeling sadness, regret, and remorse)
