Chapter 7: Unite
Lloyd, Yuri and Asbel stood up and looked at Sayer who continued to laugh at them. "You guys are pathetic. If this is all you got, then you better give up now!" Sayer exclaimed. Lloyd gritted his teeth which made Sayer grin "You inferior beings are all alike. You think you can stand up to the elites." He said.
"Inferior beings? That's odd, Magnus use to call me that back in my world." Lloyd replied. "
Sayer raised an eyebrow when he heard Lloyd speak "Magnus? How do you know Magnus?" He asked. Lloyd looked at him and narrowed his eyes "I can ask the same thing about you." Lloyd stated.
"Wait a minute, if you know Magnus then you must be from Sylvarant, and from the way you look, you must be that damn Lloyd Irving!" Sayer snarled.
"You know my name? So then my thoughts were right, you're from my world." Lloyd said. "So he's from your world?" Asbel aked.
Lloyd nodded his head "Yeah, but the question is how? How in the world did you get from Sylvarant to here? How long have you been in this world?" He asked.
Sayer smirked "Wouldn't you like to know? Sorry but I don't think telling you would matter much, seeing as you're all about to be DEAD!" He exclaimed as he slammed his sword on the ground. The impact created a Yellow energy wave and caused it to rip through the ground and travel towards the Heroes.
Asbel, Lloyd, and Yuri quickly jumped out of the way, avoiding the attack. Yuri dashed forward but was taken by surprise by Sayers speed. Sayer appeared in front Yuri, and with that back of his sword he spun around and stuck Yuri in the stomach, sending him flying into a wall.
"Sword Rain: Beta!"
Sayer turned around quickly as he heard Lloyds voice and blocked the twelve strikes with his sword that were aimed for his back. Asbel jumped into the air and unsheathed his sword, "I don't think so!" Sayer stated.
He then started to spin around at a fast pace, the speed caused a small whirlwind to form around him. "Destruction Gale!" He exclaimed as the whirlwind grew and swept Asbel, Lloyd and Yuri into the air and sent them all flying into a wall.
Sayer walked over to Lloyd who was lying on the floor and struggling to get up. "I heard that a wish was made and a bunch of Legendary heroes started appearing. If you're here, then that means the chosen must be here too." He said.
Lloyd growled at his words. "What do you want with Colette?" He asked. Sayer laughed and raised his sword "I don't think I need to tell you that. You're about to die!" He exclaimed as he was prepared to swing his sword.
"WARNING, WARNING A SELF DESTRUCT SEQUENCE WILL COMMENCE IN FIVE MINUTES"
The building had red flashing lights everywhere. The automated voice stopped. Sayer from attacking and look behind him.
"Sir! The building is set to self-destruct someone's messing with the controls in the Control Room."
Sayer turned to see his servant Kane standing at the door. "How the hell did someone get in there? You were suppose to be watching it, you idiot!" He yelled.
"I'm sorry sir, we all got caught up with the intruders." Kane said. He had short white spiky hair with blue eyes. He wore a red and black coat with Black pants and shoes. His figure seemed to be more on the nerdy side. Skinny and weak but smart and dangerous.
"Man you guys are dumbasses!" Sayer yelled out. He looked back at the Heroes and smirked, "If you think I'm going to end like this, you're wrong." He said as he slowly held up his sword. "Destruction Gale... x50!" He exclaimed as then began to spin around, faster than the last time.
The whirlwind grew larger and crashed against the walls caving them in and blowing them away. The building started to tear the apart and shake. Moments later the entire building ripped apart and collapsed due to the impact of the giant whirlwind.
Asbel, Lloyd and Yuri tried to block the attack, but were lifted off the ground and tossed in the air. Smoke filled the air as the building collapsed. Parts of the buildings was thrown far away due to the whirlwind. There was nothing left of the building but rocks here and there.
"Looks like there will be no self-destruction. " Sayer said as he was now standing still looking around at the empty battlefield.
"Sayer!"
Sayer looked up into the sky to see Zira flying on a huge winged-beast. The beast began to lower itself to the ground and Zira jumped off of it. "How could you do that with a lady present? Were you trying to take me down along with them?" She asked.
"Maybe." He responded with an annoyed look on his face. "How rude." She replied.
"I think that's quite enough you too."
Sayer and Zira turned around to see masked man that fought Rita and Katsu behind them. "Kane…? What the hell are you doing here?" Sayer asked.
"I came here to see why a huge Whirlwind just appeared out of nowhere. I was close by when it appeared, now I can see it came from you." Kane said with an uninterested tone.
"Yeah well it doesn't matter. They're all dead now." Sayer said as he turned his head to observe the empty scenery. Nothing but broken pieces of rock were and equipment was around.
"I wouldn't underestimate them if I were you." Kane responded as he noticed pieces of rocks moving and releasing something that was under it. A figure appeared which was revealed to be Lloyd Irving whose clothes were slightly torn but still intact.
Asbel and Yuri appeared right after him in the same manner. "These three…" Sayer growled. Zira crossed her arms as she looked at the three men and sighed "That's why Kane said, don't underestimate them." She said as she flipped her hair.
Lloyd was about to say something until Aramis appeared in front of him with the others. Asbel was shocked as they suddenly appeared "How did you do that?" Asbel asked.
"I have the power to Teleport, myself or anything in contact with me. I started teleporting the others after I set the place to self-destruct. I'm sorry I couldn't get to you guys in time." He said.
"It's alright; we're alive so that's all that matters." Yuri stated.
"Yeah, but for how long? The next attack I do will end this once and for all." Sayer asked as he was preparing to attack again.
"Prepare yourselves!"Aramis said. Everyone nodded and got into a fighting stance. "This guy, he's a strong one." Asbel warned.
"Then it will be best if we take him out now."
Asbel noticed the voice that came out of nowhere. He knew the voice all too well, which made him slowly turn around. When he turned around he saw Hubert Oswell standing on a small cliff. "Brother!" Asbel called out. Lloyd looked at him in shock "That's your brother?" He asked. Asbel nodded while still being in complete shock.
"It's nice to see you too." Hubert said with a small smile on his face.
"So another vermin appears and thinks he's about to save the day?" Sayer asked.
"Oh, I'm not alone. If that's what you thought, you're sadly mistaken." Hubert stated with much confidence. A second later comrades appeared behind him. They were revealed to be Pascal, Flynn Scifo, Guy Cecil, Will Raynard. Ruca Milda and Iria Animi.
"Whoa, looks like reinforcements have come in." Sayer said. "We don't have the time to be facing all of these people." Kane stated.
"Flynn!" Yuri called out. Flynn looked at him and smiled which made Yuri smile back.
"That's right, and I doubt you'll be able to beat us all too." Hubert said as he pushed his glasses up. "Give up and turn yourselves in." Will added.
"I don't think so, there's no telling what you guys would try and do to me." Zira said as she raised her hand. The ground started to shake and crumble apart. The dirt and rocks started to crumble and form into two giant figures. Arm and legs began to form along with a head with yellow glowing eyes. "You can take these guys in if you like though. She said as she pointed at the now completed rock golems.
A portal then appeared and opened behind them "Let's go, we're leaving." Kane said as he stepped inside the portal. Zira was getting ready to follow him until she noticed Sayer glaring "Let's go Sayer, you'll be able to settle it one day." She said.
Sayer growled before following her into the portal and soon vanishing. "Dammit." Hubert said. "They got away." Flynn said as he gritted his teeth. Guy put his hand on Flynns shoulder "Don't worry about them, right now we have something else to handle." Guy said.
"We'll have to take these two out." Aramis said. "Seems like we have no choice in the matter, here they come." Rowen said.
The rock golem on the left turned to look at Hubert and the others. The golem leaned back and then swung at them which caused everyone to jump away. The Golems fist crashed into the ground breaking the cliff into pieces, Guy and Flynn landed on the golems arm and started to make their way to the head. They held up their blades and landed a powerful blow to its head which made it stumble back. "If we combine out attacks we can take them down easily!" Flynn announced.
Hubert quickly took this advantage and broke apart his weapon into blasters and shot the Golem repeatedly, finally finishing with one final shot. "Instant Valse!" Hubert exclaimed.
"Hither and Yon, Wind Needle!" Pascal exclaimed. She quickly pointed her staff and shot out a blast of a green spiky energy blast. Hubert and Pascals attacks made the Golem stumble back.
Asbel saw an opening and was willing to take it. Asbel drew his blade from its sheath to perform a quick horizontal slash before jumping into the air with a rising slash that dealt more damage. "Take this, Stampede Strike!" He exclaimed.
Once all of their attacks landed the Golem fell to the ground and shattered into pieces. Hubert, Pascal and Asbel looked at eachother and smiled "The last one is yours!" Hubert called out.
Will had his eyes closed and was channeling his mana "I'm already on it, Lightning!" Will exclaimed as he raised his hand. Lightning shot down from the sky striking the Golem and slightly stopping it in its tracks.
"Sonic Thrust!" Lloyd exclaimed as he thrusted his weapon at the Golem, causing the Golem to step back. "Mirage seal!" Sheena said as she slapped a seal on the golems left foot making it stumble back as well.
"Lloyd!" Sheena called out. Lloyd looked at her and nodded "Let's do it!" he responded. A shining crest appeared before the the golem, Lloyd thrusted through the crest and the the golem, having some light from the shining crest following. "Mirage Thrust!" Sheena and Lloyd said in unison.
Katsu and Yuri looked at one another and was about to say something until Elize and Yuuto stepped forward. "We'll help as well." Elize said as she held up her staff. Elize began charging Teepo with dark energy. Once complete, Teepo was launched like cannon from Elize's staff, circling around the golem three times to create a spiraling tower of magical glyphs.
"Elize, hold it steady." Yuuto said as he rose up his scythe. As Roumen sat on Yuuto's shoulder, energy of light started to form around him. Once the charge was complete he spit out 4 light balls from his mouth. The balls of light would the surround the tower that Elize had made from top to bottom.
The lights would then create walls that would completely engulf the tower and the golem. The Yellow walls of light would now have dark lines swirling around. "Elize!" Yuuto called out. Elize nodded "Okay." She responded.
"Take this, Cosmic Devastation!" The said in unison. Once the arte would initiate, the golem would start to quickly disintegrating it and turning it into nothing. Once the attack had faded it showed that the golem was no longer there which made everyone happy.
"That seemed like it was pretty easy" Yuri said. Flynn nodded as he walked over to Yuri "That's because it was just a diversion. She didn't put that much power into them." He explained.
"Elize, Yuuto! How in the world did you two do that?" Katsu asked. Yuuto smiled "It's not as complicated as you're thinking big brother. All I did was combine my mystic with hers." He explained.
"As much as I know you all want to talk and catch up. We have to get back to the Kings Castle." Will said. Konyu looked at him and raised an eyebrow "Why do we have to go there? Is it on his orders?" He asked.
Hubert looked at him and adjusted his glasses once more "Yes it is, besides there's something there waiting for you all, including you, brother." He said as he turned his head to look at Asbel. "Me?" Asbel asked as he raised an eyebrow.
Later that day once they made it back and made it inside of the castle, Yumin and Moon were waiting for them. "Looks like the mission was successful." Moon stated. Aramis nodded at her and stepped forward "The base is gone, but it was destroyed by one of their higher ups. His name was Sayer from what I heard." Aramis explained.
"One of their own, destroyed the base?" Yumin asked. Asbel nodded "Yes, He used a move called Destruction gale. He made a huge whirlwind appear, destroying the building completely." Asbel said.
Moon put a finger to her lip and sighed "If they have someone with that much power then we'll have to move with caution." She said.
Yumin nodded "Yeah but we can think about that later, right now there's something in the next room I think you all are going to want to see." She stated with a smile. Asbel and the others raised an eyebrow as they looked at each other.
Yumin escorted them to the door and slowly opened it. Once they got inside everyone was shocked at what they saw. Everyone including Asbel was completely speechless.
"Asbel!"
Before Asbel could say anything, he was embraced by someone he knew all too well. "Cheria!" He said in shock. She held onto him tight happy that she was able to see him again.
"I'm so glad you're okay." She said.
"I'm glad you're okay too, Cheria." He said with a warm smile.
Behind her were Colette Brunel, Estelle, Judith, Patty Fleur and Harold Belserius. "Colette!" Lloyd called out. Colette who was talking to Presea turned around and gave Lloyd a big smile. She ran over to Lloyd and grabbed his hands "Oh Lloyd you're here, I'm so happy." She said.
Lloyd smiled and gazed into her eyes, and Colette did the same. Sheena saw this and sighed which Konyu spotted immediately.
Estelle quickly ran after Yuri and jumped on him embracing him in a tight hug. "Estelle?" he asked in shock. "I was so worried about you. I thought something terrible had happened to you. When I awoke and didn't know where I was, and you weren't around I thought something bad happened." She explained really fast.
"Whoa slow down Estelle. I'm alright." He assured her.
"Stop hugging my Yuri like that!"
Yuri was then embraced by Patty who was extremely jealous. "You're here too?" Yuri asked. Patty nodded "I've missed you." She said as she hugged him tighter.
Katsu noticed this and laughed as she crossed his arms. "Looks like Yuri is quite the Romeo." He said as he turned to Rita who was standing beside him.
"They're always like that."
Rita and Katsu noticed that Judith was coming their way. "Is that so? What about you two, aren't you both going to go hug him as well?" He asked. Rita huffed and looked at him "Yeah right, why would I hug that jerk, and can you really see me doing that?" She asked.
"Well…." He said as he thought for a moment. He pictured her running in slow motion with her hands opened wide and an adorable smile on her face. This made him burst out into laughter which made Rita glare at him. "I'll hurt you." She hissed in cold tone. "I'm sorry." He said as he quickly calmed down, not wanting to piss her off.
"Alright everyone, I know all of you want to catch up with one another but you can have time for that in a bit. Right now I need to tell you why I gathered you all here."
Everyone stopped talking and looked at King Gesar who was standing before them. "As you may know, there are way too many of you and sooner or later no one is going to have any room left for any more people. There are more of you heroes popping up in this world and we need to find a way to get you all situated with living arrangements for the next six months." He explained.
"So what do you suppose we do about it?" Katsu asked.
"We'll get Baneltea." He stated bluntly.
"Baneltea! Your highness, as good as this idea is, the Baneltea has been down for awhile. I don't know if it will ever work again." Yumin stated.
Gesar sighed, forgetting why they weren't using the Baneltea in the first place. "What is the Baneltea?" Rita asked. Katsu crossed his arms and closed his eyes "The Baneltea is a flying ship that was created a long time ago by scientist. It's a huge ship that could fit all of us and more. It has a lot of rooms inside of it and it runs off Mana that flows through the air." He explained.
"So if it runs off mana, then that means it can fly for an endless amount of time." She replied as she thought to herself.
"If you want, I can go check it out!"
Everyone turned to Pascal who was swaying back and forth he hands resting on the back of her head. "Are you saying you might be able to fix it?" Moon asked.
"I can try; I need to see it first." She replied. Rita nodded and stepped forward "I'll help too, if you have anything I can use to research some things about it, send them to me." She said.
"I have nothing better to do, so I'll help as well." Harold added as she stepped forward.
"I guess we can give it a shot, I mean It wouldn't hurt to try and make the things work. If these three girls think they can make it work then I'm all for it. Besides you can't send a man to do a woman's job." Moon said as she looked at every man that was in the room except for the King.
"Funny…" Konyu said as he gave Moon an annoyed look, which made her smile.
The King closed his eyes and then nodded "Alright then, tomorrow, I'll send out a team to go along with Harold, Pascal, and Rita. I'll give you the locations and details tomorrow. For now everyone should get a good night's rest and be prepared." He said.
Everyone nodded as he began to walk away "So before anything, Konyu do you have any more room for a few more people to stay the night?" Moon asked.
Katsu then put his hand on Konyu's shoulder "How about we all stay at Konyu's tonight." Katsu said. Konyu looked at him "Hold on I can't take everyone in this room in, that's too many people. Honestly the most I can have stay at my house now is "Lloyd and his friends, Asbel and his friends, Yuri and his friends, Jude and his friends, Tear and Guy, and you and Yuuto. That's about it, Everyone else will have to stay somewhere else." He explained.
"I can hold the rest of them at my house for the night. Actually send Tear, Guy and Rowen over as well, just to make it a little easier for you." Moon said.
"I guess we'll be seeing you tomorrow Rowen." Jude said. Rown smiled and nodded "Yes I guess we will." He replied.
"Alright! A sleepover, this is going to be so much fun!" Kanono said as she hugged Presea who smiled.
Later that day the sun had gone done and everyone was now at Konyu's house. "Man it's been way too long, since I've been here." Katsu said.
"Same here, big brother." Yuuto stated.
"It has been awhile, hasn't it?" Kanono asked.
Kanono picked up a picture on a desk that was beside her, it showed Konyu and Katsu with their arms crossed standing beside each other with a smile on their faces. It also showed Yuuto being hugged by Kanono who was throwing up the piece sign. Blaine was standing behind Kanono with his hand on her head, and Mormo was floating beside him. They looked to be having a good time and enjoyed each other's company.
Outside Colette and Lloyd was standing outside looking at the stars. "How have you been doing since that day?" Lloyd asked.
"I've been alright. I was with Cheria and Estelle. They are so nice Lloyd; I've seen so many places with them." She said with cheerful smile on her face.
Lloyd smiled and looked at her "I'm glad you got to explore. I got to see so many places too, but…." He started but trailed off. Colette looked at her with a worried look on her face "But what Lloyd?" She asked.
"Well… I was worried about you… the whole time you were away." He admitted. This put a smile on her face, knowing that the one she cared about the most, cared about her just as much.
"Thank you Lloyd…" She replied as she stood next to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. Lloyd smiled and looked up at the stars, enjoying the moment between him and Colette. A slight breeze blew through her hair, which made the feeling all the more better.
While this was going on, Sheena was watching them from afar behind them. A she had a strange feeling in her chest; it was as if she had lost all feeling in her heart. Her legs were growing numb and her eyes just gazed at the two as she sighed in defeat.
"So that's who you like."
Sheena turned around to see Konyu leaning against a tree with Mormo beside him. "Are you alright Sheena?" Mormo asked.
Sheena's face grew red as she noticed that he had found out her little secret. "You like Lloyd, don't you?" He asked.
Sheena sighed in defeat there wasn't any reason to lie now. "Is it that obvious?" She asked as she looked to the ground.
"Well to be honest… yeah." He responded. Sheena smiled at him, knowing he was just telling the truth. "Well it doesn't matter now; Lloyd has been close to Colette way before I even met him. So I didn't stand a chance regardless." She said, still smiling but hurting inside.
"I see…" He said before standing up straight and turning around.
Sheena noticed that he was leaving as his back was now turned towards her. "Where are you going?" She asked. Konyu looked at her and stopped "I'm going to the Lake, do you want to come with me?" He asked.
Sheena smiled and nodded "If that's alright with you." She replied. Konyu looked at her in shock for a second before smiling and nodding.
The two walked passed a few trees with Mormo leading the way. He smiled at the two heroes before making his way to the side of the lake. Sheena made her way to it and observed it; it was beautiful the moonlight shined down onto the water which made it sparkle. It left her in awe as she continued to look.
Konyu sat down in front of the lake and looked at the sky. Sheena sat down next to him and smiled "So… are you going to tell me who you like." She said with a smirk on her face. "What are you talking about?" He asked as he looked away, not trying to make eye contact with her.
"You found out who I liked, so now you should tell me who you like." She said. Konyu stayed silent, he wasn't sure if he should answer or not. "Do you have someone you like?" She asked.
"No." He responded. Sheena gave him a disapproving look "Come on, don't just brush it off like that. Tell me the truth Konyu." She demanded.
Konyu sighed and looked back at the stars "I do, but it doesn't matter. She liked someone else, and on top of it she'll be leaving soon." He explained.
"Who is it? Wait, is it Moon?" Sheena asked.
He looked at her in disbelief "Hell no!" He quickly replied. This made Mormo laugh, knowing that Konyu was serious.
"So then who is it? Is it Kanono?" She asked.
"Of course not. She's like a sister to me." He responded.
"Well then have I met her, do I know her?" She asked. Konyu smiled "Let's just say, you know her very well." He responded. Sheena was about to say something until she heard a voice.
"Sheena, we're waiting for you!"
Konyu sighed in relief as he heard Kanono's voice. "Guess the girls are ready to get in the hot spring. We'll continue this later." She said as she stood up. Konyu chuckled "Yeah, maybe." He responded. This earned him a warm smile from Sheena. As she walked away Mormo looked at him and waited until she was gone "Why didn't you tell her that you like-" he started until he was cut off.
"Let's not talk about that right now Mormo." He said. Mormo sighed and nodded, knowing it was best not to pry.
Fifteen minutes later the girls were taking a nice soak in the hot springs that was in the back yard. Zelos who was a natural pervert, was trying to find a way to peek at them all. He began poking a hold through the wooden fence that was blocking his view.
"What are you doing?"
Zelos turned around to see Hubert who had his arms crossed. "I'm trying to get a peek, what does it look like?" Zelos asked.
"You're admitting that you're spying on them?" Hubert asked in disbelief.
"Don't worry Hubert, he's not normal. This is what he does on a regular basis."
Hubert turned to see Lloyd with all the other guys behind him. "Come one Zelos, you know if the girls catch you, it's all over." Konyu stated.
"Every single girl in that spring is tough, I pray for your safety." Katsu said as he closed his eyes and shook his head. Zelos was about to say something until he heard Kanono's voice.
"Milla is over there as well. If she finds out you're spying on her, she's not going to be happy." Jude said.
"Colette they're small but so cute!"
Ka-Kanono."
"Sheena, Judith, both are so big. What do you do to make them so big?"
"Kanono, don't touch them like that."
"Someone is pretty bold."
"Rita, yours is amazing."
"He-He-Hey! Stop that!"
Zelos smiled at the voices and looked back at them. "Listen you guys, there's a whole new world over there. Are you telling me you're not ready to see it?" He said as he continued to open his hole in the wall.
"NO!" They all yelled in unison by accident.
"What was that?"
"I think it was the boys."
"They're watching us!"
"This is all your fault!" Hubert exclaimed. Zelos scratched his head, not knowing what he just got everyone into.
"Fire Ball!"
The boys turned when they heard Milla voice. The multiple fireballs hit the fence and destroyed it revealing the boys to the girls.
"So you were all spying on us huh?" Milla asked as she crossed her arms.
"I'm out!" Konyu said as he ran off as fast as he could. "Konyu come back here now!" Kanono yelled. The rest of the boys noticed that he was gone and decided to do the same.
Lloyd started to run, but tripped and fell onto the ground. When he lifted up his head from the ground, he turned to see ten girls standing near him. A loud scream could be heard, followed by punching and kicking sounds.
The boys who got away ran for their lives "Was that Lloyd?" Blaine asked. Zelos ran up to him and nodded "He's gone but never forgotten." He teased.
"This is not the time for jokes! If they catch us we're done." Asbel warned.
"Attack!"
"Did I just hear Milla order an attack?" Jude asked. He was scared for his life and Yuuto could see it "Keep running!" He exclaimed.
"They'll catch us if we don't keep going!' Yuri stated. Hubert glared at Zelos, this wouldn't be happening if it weren't for him. "Why don't we just stop and give him to them?" Hubert asked.
Konyu shook his head "They're pretty pissed; I doubt giving them Zelos will save us in the least. That Milla girl doesn't look like she'll be very forgiving." He stated.
Jude shook his head "As of right now, no she won't be." He assured him.
"Let's split up, if we stay together we'll be easy pickings." Katsu said.
Everyone nodded and split up, going their separate ways. Half were headed towards the woods, and half were headed towards the house.
Meanwhile the girls who were now fully dressed were chasing them, trying to catch up. Colette stayed behind with Lloyd to make sure he was okay. "They're splitting up? We'll have to do the same." Milla said, as she turned the corner and headed in the direction Jude went.
"Sheena, Rita follow me, I want to show you guys something." Kanono said as she turned left. Rita and Sheena looked at each other before nodding and following her.
"The red head is mine!" Judith stated as she sped up and tried to keep up with Zelos. Elize stopped in her tracks and turned around, Teepo noticed this and looked at her "What's wrong?" He asked.
"Yuuto is way too fast for me to catch him. So instead I'll ignore him for a while, that'll teach him for sure." She said. Teepo smiled at her "You're the smartest in the world." He praised her.
Now while this was going on, Katsu and Konyu made their way to the house. "You said no one knows about it right?" Katsu asked. Konyu nodded "Yeah, I kept secret." He stated.
Once they made it inside they ran up a few stairs and found a dead end. Konyu looked up at the ceiling and smiled. He quickly jumped up and used his hand to move a square tile that was on the ceiling. He then jumped up again and grabbed onto the edges and began to pull himself inside the square hole.
But before he would make it all the way in, he felt four hands grabbing his shirt. He froze as he looked up and saw Sheena and Kanono. The two pulled him inside and sealed the hole with the tile. "NO!" He exclaimed as he was now being demolished by Kanono and Sheena.
Katsu froze as he heard Konyu scream, he was lucky that it wasn't him. He then felt a finger tap his shoulder. He shook in fear and then put his hands together and started to pray, knowing all too well who it was.
"Listen, I'll let you off easy if you agree to my proposal."
He knew that was Rita's voice but he still was too scared to turn around and face her "And that would be?" He asked.
"Instead of a week, you'll become my servant for a month, and we're resetting the days starting tomorrow." She said with a smirk on her face.
This was just like last time; he was cornered with nowhere to go. He could be a man and take a beating like everyone else. Or he could save himself the trouble and agree. "Alright, alright, you win. I'll do it." He said, feeling ashamed of himself.
Rita smirked at him "Good boy." She said before punching him in the back of his head. "Ow! I thought you said you were letting me off easy." He complained. "This is letting you off easy, now shut up and take it." She said as she punched him again.
The area was filled with the sound of screaming males and punching and kicking sounds, along with a few fireballs and lightning attacks.
Later that night, things had finally settled down and everyone was now getting some sleep. Rita was in a room with Judith, Estelle, Cheria, Pascal, Sheena, Kanono, Milla, Elize, Presea and Colette. Elize and Milla shared one bed and Sheena and Presea shared the other. Everyone else was spread out on the floor. Rita was reading a book while the girls were sleeping.
""Rita? Aren't you going to sleep yet?"
The sound of Estelle's voice did not get through; Rita was still into the book she was reading. "Rita." She called out again but still got no reply. Estelle then got up and covered Rita's eyes with her hands.
"What the?! Estelle? Why are you covering my eyes all of a sudden?!" Rita asked in a startled voice.
"I'm sorry, but you were reading and did not answer me, so…" Estelle said with a cheerful smile.
"Well, I focus all my attention when I'm reading. So… what did you want?" She asked.
Estelle looked at the window and say that it was really dark outside and then looked back at Rita "Well, I just meant to say it should be time to go to sleep, don't you think so?" Estelle asked.
"What? Oh, its fine, I'll just read a little more, so you can go to sleep if you want." Rita replied.
Judith opened her eyes and stood up "Then it's fine if I do this." She clicked the light switch and made them shut off. Rita quickly got up and put them back on "Hey! Why are you turning of the lights?!" She asked in an annoyed tone.
"Why, isn't it hard to sleep if the lights are on?" Judith asked. Milla sat up and looked at her "Yes, it wouldn't be so easy to fall asleep, with the lights shining in your eyes.
"Didn't I say I still want to read my book?!" Rita asked, getting even more annoyed. All the girls were starting to wake up after hearing the Milla, Estelle, Judith and Rita talk. "But it's late. It's bad for your eyes if you read in a dim room like this." Cheria said.
Rita shook her head "You know, if you're worried about stuff like that when you read, then you stop reading. Otherwise it doesn't matter even if you read; the information doesn't get inside your head, so it's just a waste of time. Got it?" Rita explained.
"My, what a wonderful stubbornness." Judith said. Rita looked at her "What's with that 'Stubbornness'? Really you…" She started until Estelle cut her off.
"Well, I like books too, so I kind of understand what you mean. Wherever you are, you just need to turn the pages to enter a lovely world. IN such a small object there are so many new worlds. I think it's amazing." She explained.
Well, mine are only scientific books, but I agree that a good book is one that opens the doors to the unknown. Whether you want to open it or not is up to you after all." Rita said.
"Since we're talking about that, doesn't Estelle want to write picture books?" Judith asked. Cheria looked at her with a smile "You're interested in picture books?" She asked.
"Yes. I'll start working on it once this journey is over." Estelle replied.
Cheria gave her a warm smile "That's a wonderful dream." She stated cheerfully. "Judith, Rita. Will you two agree to read it once it's finished?"" She asked.
"It would be my pleasure." Judith responded before looking at Rita. "W-Well… if I feel like it." Rita replied, trying to hide her interest. Judith laughed as she noticed that Rita was hiding it.
"What are you laughing at?" Rita asked, getting slightly annoyed. "Oh it's nothing." Judith responded. Rita didn't believe her; she started to growl a little before looking away "It sounds like I'm being made a fool of." She muttered.
"I wish I could read the book." Cheria said as she looked down. Estelle smile at her "I wish you could too Cheria. Milla was about to say something until the door opened.
"What's this, you're still awake?"
Everyone turned to see Patty walking inside the room. "So you all like to stay up all night like football fishes?"She asked. "Football fishes?" Colette asked, not really getting the insult at all.
"Oh, shut up. And I could ask you where you were all this time." Rita said. Patty smiled at her and she looked up to the ceiling "I went to see Yuri for my good night kiss." Patty said, knowing it would somehow get Estelle going. In reality she had given up on Yuri once her memories had come back. But deep down inside, she still had some feeling for him, but she would never follow up on it.
"G-Good night kiss?" Estelle's eyes went wide as she heard that. Patty smirked as she achieved what she wanted, she was going to drag this on just a little more. "I wanted one but I couldn't find him. So I gave up and came back " She explained.
"You're really something, you know that? And I don't understand what's so interesting with that guy." Rita stated. Colette looked at her "He seems like a nice guy to me, from what I've seen so far." She said.
"That's because you haven't seen the Jerk side of him." Rita retorted. "Oh my, so does that mean there are men that are more suitable to your tastes?" Judith asked.
Rita was chocked up in words when she heard this "W-W-What?! W-W-Where did you get that weird idea?" She asked.
"I want to hear more about Rita's type of men too." Estelle said. Sheena looked at Rita and smiled "I'd like to hear more about this too." She stated.
"Sounds interesting, I'd like to hear her answer as well." Milla added.
"No, Not really, well you see actually, weren't we talking about Patty instead of me to begin with?!" She asked, feeling a little embarrassed from being put on the spot.
"You're being awfully loud for someone who speaks in the middle of the night. You'll wake up the guys next door." Judith said.
"Yeah, we wouldn't want them hearing this." Kanono added as she sat up. Patty smiled at all of them and sat down on floor "If you want to know about my tastes, Yuri's the obvious answer."
"Yeah, right. We were talking about what you find so interesting about the guy." Rita stated.
Patty smirked "Then lend an ear, for there's a lot I have to say! First off all, no matter the circumstances, he always keeps that cool and composed personality!" She said.
"That's called unsociability" Rita corrected.
"And he's always wearing black." Patty added.
"That is gloomy." Rita answered.
"He has long hair blowing in the wind." Patty continued.
"That's because he's too lazy to cut it off." Rita said with an irritated tone.
"Rita. You're going a bit too far." Estelle stated. Rita calmed down and looked at her "What? Oh, right. I'm sorry."
"That was kind of harsh." Sheena said.
"Hmm, Even Yuri is treated like small fry by Rita…" Patty pouted. Estelle looked at Rita and gave her a sad look "Rita, do you hate Yuri?" She asked.
"What? I never said that." Rita said as she looked back at Estelle. "So, if Yuri is no good, who would suit your tastes?" Milla asked.
"Someone not too familiar… How about Raven, for instance?" She asked.
"He's no good." Rita stated bluntly and quickly. Patty nodded "No good at all." She added.
"He's not?" Estelle asked as she raised an eyebrow. The other girls didn't know who Raven was, but just figured that it was one of their friends.
"That old man, he the kind of person who can't do anything with his life. He's always lazing off and can't get himself to work." Rita explained.
'I don't think I could see myself, with a guy like that.' Kanono thought to herself. It was pretty much the same for the other girls; none of them wanted a man who was just completely lazy.
"My, that may be so, but that 'prince' is at the head of an important guild, isn't he?" Judith asked. Patty's eyes started to sparkle "Hmm. He probably built up quite a nice fortune then." Patty said
"Who cares about that? The point is that he can't stop going after any girl he sees. And let's not talk about his drinking habits." Rita added. "Hmm… You certainly have a point." Patty said as she agreed with Rita.
"So then Rita would prefer someone well-mannered." Cheria said. Rita glared at her "I already told you not to make me say what I haven't said. Just let me read my books!" She exclaimed.
"What do you mean when you say 'Well-mannered' Cheria?" Estelle asked. Cheria thought for a moment and then smiled "Someone honest and serious, I suppose." She said.
"Hmm… Then how about Flynn? Rita, how about Flynn?" Estelle asked. Rita sighed and gave her an annoyed look 'How about' you say… I'm not good at dealing with strict and formal people like him." Rita said.
"Is he really that bad?" Elize asked. Patty looked at her and nodded "He's the kind of person who always wears some sort of tough scale armor. And he doesn't know how to joke and look lighthearted either." She said.
"Just like someone else here, albeit different." Judith stated with a small chuckle.
"So Flynn isn't good either." Estelle said.
"Well then, by elimination, it's just Karol." Judith teased.
"Don't even think about." Rita stopped her right in her tracks. Estelle smiled "But there are already people that look up to him." She informed her.
"That's not the point! He's a freaking brat! A-Frea-king-brat!" Rita stated bluntly.
Patty nodded in agreement "Yes. He's certainly ten years too early." Patty added. Judith laughed at their comments "My, he still has time to grow up a little." She said, trying to vouch for him.
"That's true! And he's already the boss of a guild at such a young age. This is impressive!" Estelle also vouched.
"Yeah, well, that's the only thing he can boast about." Rita stated, cutting both of their comments with a knife. "There's no point in going after small fry when you can catch bigger fishes." Patty said.
"Ah! What about Repede?" Estelle asked.
"Hell No!" Both Patty and Rita exclaimed in unison.
Judith laughed and then looked at Rita "I'm having so much fun with this, how about we go to guys that aren't from our world, like Asbel for instance." This caught Cheria's attention real quick. She was wondering what Rita would have to say about Asbel.
"No, he reminds me Flynn." Rita quickly responded. Cheria sighed in relief, thinking that Rita might have a thing for Asbel.
"Well then, what about Lloyd?" Colette asked. Rita turned her attention to Colette and shook her head "Your friend in the Red suspenders, no way." She responded quickly once again.
"Okay then, how about Jude?" Milla asked this time. Rita once again shook her head "He's way too nice, actually I think he's too nice for his own good." She said.
Judith laughed "And just like that, she's denied seven guys." She said.
"You guys are picking everyone except for the one you should be picking." Kanono said as she giggled. Sheena looked at her "And that would be?" She asked.
"Katsu." Kanono said in a cheerful tone. Sheena eyes went wide and then looked at Rita "Actually, I've been wanting to hear this." She said.
"What about Katsu, Rita?"" Estelle asked.
"That idiot? He's an idiot, who doesn't know what's good for him. Sometimes I just want to punch his face. "She said as she looked at the ceiling thinking about him.
'Well she didn't say no right away." Pascal said. Cheria shook her head "She didn't say no at all."
"It looks like we have our winner." Judith teased.
"W-W-What?! I never said that. He's an idiot, and he's just my servant. I wouldn't waste my time being with him." Rita said, as her face start to turn red. She quickly put the covers over her face so she could hide it. Estelle noticed this and went wide eyed. 'Rita, could it be that you…' She thought to herself.
She smiled at Rita once more and then looked away. "Well it's good you didn't pick Asbel, seeing as that's Cheria's fiancé." Pascal blurted out.
"Pascal!" Cheria exclaimed in embarrassment.
"Oh my!" Judith said. Estelle's eyes lit up when she heard this "Cheria, is it true? You and Asbel are going to get married?" She asked.
Cheria sighed and smiled before nodding her head. "Congratulations."Estelle said. Colette nodded "I'm so happy for you Cheria." She added. "Thank you!" She said with a bright smile.
"So how did you two actually get together?" Presea asked. Cheria sighed and looked at them "Well…" She started to tell them how Asbel asked her to live with him. The talk went on for about ten minutes before they all went to sleep. They would need it for the next day, where they would have to try and fix the Baneltea.
