Sorry it took me a while to get THIS chapter out. I feel terrible that it has been a LONG time since I put another one out. I am on break from college so as long as my new job is not an ass I should be able to find a way to update at least once a week. As stated before, I have thought about adding Itachi Uchiha into this storyline. If you want Itachi to be in this story then go to my poll and hit yes. I am going to keep the poll going for at least 1 more chapter after this so put in your votes soon! Like I said it does not matter to me if he is or not, but just ket me know what your feeling are on this, ight? & with that, here is the new chapter!

Chapter 11: This is War

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" Gray yelled at the other guild mates.

"It seems that Phantom Lord was not happy with our attack before." Jet replied.

They felt a weird feeling in the air that was screaming DANGER. As the guild turned back to the castle, they noticed the cannon began to have a glowing ball begin to form. It got bigger and bigger in size. "If that isn't stopped the guild will be taken out!" Natsu exclaimed.

Just then, Erza ran to the front and activated her Adamantine Armor. The cannon fired and Erza blocked the attack. She was sent a good ten feet backwards BUT was able to save the guild. However, she collapsed to the ground from the pain. "Lucy! Get her into the guild for Mirajane to heal her! NOW!" Ed screamed.

Almost on instinct she ran, got Erza, and ran into the guild. Natsu, Ed, Gray, and all the other Fairy Tail mates stood in awe at the fire power of the cannon that belonged to Phantom Lord. Suddenly, a voice came out of the castle.

"This is the Phantom Lord guild master, Jose Porla. What we fired was our Magical Convergent Cannon – Jupiter." Jose spoke. "And that was only a warning shot. The next one will be fatal unless you give in to our demands. GIVE US LUCY HEARTFILIA!"

The whole guild was scared. Not knowing what to do. Not only was Makarov and Erza down for the count, Mystogan and Laxus were not able to get to the guild.

Lucy looked outside as her name was said. They are still after me! They are going to hurt the guld more! Lucy thought.

"Lucy," Mirajane spoke as she finished bandaging up Erza. "You stay here."

"Hey WHY SHOULD I STAY?" Lucy angrily answered. "It's my fault that this is happening. I should be out there fighting with everyone."

Seeing there was no way of convincing her to stay, Mirajane nodded.

"It's okay! I am right here, take me with you and leave the guild alone."

Fairy Tail's guild members were staring in shock at Lucy who seemed to appear out of nowhere. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING LUCY!?" Natsu screamed in a mix of rage and hurt.

Ed ran up to Lucy and grabbed her shoulders. "Lucy, stop right now. You are not leaving this guild whether you want to or not."

"But I have to Ed, I'm sorry."

"NO YOU DON'T LUCY!"

Lucy pulled Ed into a hug. Ed was confused, why did Lucy decide this all of a sudden. Lucy let Ed out of the hug and looked at Ed. It was then Ed realized, her eyes were not what they usually were. Ed's eyes opened wide at his sudden realization. Still being close to each other, Ed mouthed a word to Lucy. Lucy looked at Ed and shook her head in the affirmative.

Ed then realized what was going on. Ed let go of her and moved out of her way. "Ed what are you doing?" Natsu yelled.

"Let her go. If she wants to leave then why stop her?"

"ED YOU SON OF A BITCH HOW COULD YOU? AFTER EVERYTHING THAT HAS HAPPENED AND YOU DO THIS?" Natsu was trying to charge at Ed but was being held back by Gray and Elfman.

Natsu broke free, ran to Ed and slugged him in the face. The sound of Natsu's fist making contact with Ed's face echoed through the area. The rest of the guild looked in shock at him as Gray and Elfman caught him again. Ed wiped the blood from his mouth and looked Natsu dead in the eyes. "This's her assessment that I shall not openly try. Lummox, you can't yield it."

Ed walked away from Natsu who was still in shock. Lucy then began to walk towards the castle. Natsu was trying to struggle and get to him when Gray turned Natsu to face him. "You are still mad at him after what he said?"

"FUCK YEA I AM! HE CALLED ME A WEIRD NAME AND MADE IT OBVIOUS HE WANTS HER TO LEAVE. HE WAS NEVER FRIENDS WITH HER! AND WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU ALL CALM!? YOU WANT LUCY TO LEAVE?!"

"Natsu, you are an idiot." Elfman added. "Ed is a true man."

Natsu was now even more confused. "Ok, what the fuck are you all talking about."

"Don't you get it, Natsu. The last things Ed said to you was a code. 'This's her assessment that I shall not openly try. Lumix, you cant yield it.' It took me a minute to realize it but it was a code. Take out the first letters in the sentences Ed just said except for the third to last word (with that put the letter that it sounds like) and what does it spell out."

Natsu was confused. "Okay, That begins with a T, has begins with an H, assessment with an A…" Natsu began to work it out and finally got them all processed. "Ok, I did it and I am still confused."

"You are an idiot." Gray said to Natsu. "Write down those letters."

"Fine, asshole. T. H. A. T…" suddenly Natsu's face went from anger and confusion to understanding. "I know what it spells out! THAT IS NOT LUCY!"

"Exactly." Elfman replied. "My guess it is Mira-sama disguised as Lucy."

Lucy then stopped at the shore and looked up at the castle. "Well Jose, are you going to let me in?"

"Well I would, if you were Lucy." he replied.

Ed's face went from calm to enraged. How did he figure it out? he thought.

"I am Lucy!" Lucy replied.

"STOP FOOLING ME CHILD AND BRING OUT THE REAL LUCY!"

The fake Lucy then transformed back into Mirajane. Ed ran up next to Mirajane. He clapped his hands, starting the transmutation. He slammed his hand to the ground, forming blue sparks where he touched. Suddenly, a stone hand rose from the ocean and slugged the castle. It teetered but stood standing. "Like HELL would we give up Lucy!" Ed yelled back in a raging fury. "She not just a person that happens to be in the same guild, she is not just a teammate that I work with. She is a friend… no… she is FAMILY! To me and ALL OF FAIRY TAIL! There is no way we would give her up!"

Fairy Tail erupted in cheers. "Fine," Jose replied. "In that case… I shall send my army of ghouls after you. Even if you do last, in 15 minutes, my cannon will be ready to fire a beam so strong it will take out your pathetic guild AND half the town!"

Suddenly, dozens of black ghost like figures flew out and began to attack Fairy Tail. "Be careful!" Levy, the blue haired mage said. "IF they touch you, your magic will be drained!"

Fairy Tail began to defend itself against the army.

Ed, Natsu, Gray, Mirajane, and Elfman were surrounded by the black ghosts. Just when they were being cornered a sword flew past Ed, killing one of the ghosts. They turned to see a bandaged, bruised, and battered Erza running at them. The group took out the ghosts and ran for the beach. "Hey guys, guess it got kinda hectic out here." Erza greeted.

"Yea, just slightly, but we can handle it." Elfman replied.

"So, what happened to the real Lucy?" Erza asked Mirajane.

"I felt so bad. She wanted to help, but I knew she shouldn't. So I put her to sleep and had Reedus take her to the secret hide out."

"Guys, I will be honest." Ed butted in. "At the rate the fight is going now, we will be wiped out. We need to stop Jose at all costs and now not only protect the guild but also the people of Magnolia. The first thing to do is to stop the cannon and the castle. From there, we can focus on Jose."

"Well do you have an idea?" Gray asked.

"Ed always has an idea, ice head." Natsu added.

Just before Gray and Natsu started to argue, Ed butted. "Thanks Natsu for the vote of confidence, and I DO have a plan. Mirajane, I need you to go help the others while I go to work ok?"

"Ok Ed," Mirajane said happily. "Good luck guys!" She then ran off to help the other guild mates.

Ed then turned back to the group he was with. "Natsu, remember when I used the catapult to launch you to save Lucy?"

"Yea…"

"Well, my idea is to do that again, but to have you four enter different areas of the castle. Elfman, go to the west, Gray the east, and Erza you are going to go close to the top. Your jobs are to cause a distraction while Natsu flies into the cannon."

"WHY DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE CANNON?" Natsu yelled. "What if it fires while I am in there? I will die."

"Also, why can't we just fly into our designated areas? Why do we need to get launched?" Erza added. Just then, a group of ghost began to attack them.

"I thought that but the way the ghosts are moving they will try to intercept you like they are now." Ed said as he slugged a ghost with his automail fist. "Erza would not make it with her Heaven's Wheel armor, and Natsu being dragged by Happy won't be any better. The catapults will be a lot quicker, plus you can use your abilities to make you go faster."

"How do you suppose that?" Gray asked as he sliced a ghost with his ice lance.

"Simple." Ed answered confidently as his flesh leg kicked another ghost's head off. "Natsu can use his fire for a boost. Gray can use his ice-make magic to make a rocket to launch him faster. Erza can use her Heavens Wheel's wings to add more of a push if u feel you are slowing down. Elfman can use his partial beast takeover to give him the boost he needs."

"Wow. That is acutally really smart (not saying you are dumb). No wonder you were in the military. Able to analyze the abilities of opponents and allies abilities alike and use them to reach the goal. What a man!" Elfman replied as he punched a ghost, sending it flying.

"WAIT!" Natsu added, as he lit one of the ghosts on fire. "WHY AM I GOING INTO THE CANNON?! WHY NOT MAKE GRAY DO IT!"

"Maybe HE wants you to do it. Do you not trust him" Gray answered, hitting away the last ghost that came at them.

"WELL MAYBE YOU SHOULD DO IT, ICE POP!"

"WHAT ARE YOU SCARED, YOU FLAMER!"

"I COULD SAY THE SAME FOR YOU, SNOWFLAKE!"

Suddenly a metal fist collided with Gray and Natsu, sending them flying to the beach shore and shutting both of them up. Ed was steaming with annoyance. "BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP BEFORE I KICK BOTH OF YOUR ASSES INTO THE CASTLE! Natsu, he said the cannon will not be ready for another 15 minutes. It has been four minutes, meaning if you go through there, you will not get shot at. You have the most important job (as of right now). I assume that right in there is the power source of the castle and the cannon. We need you to take that out. Understand now?"

Natsu looked at Ed, processing the info he was just given. Natsu then nodded. "Ok, sounds good to me. I am trusting you, Ed."

"I know, you all are. Since we are at the beach, I will launch you from here, less distance and less chance of missing." Another group of ghosts came towards them. "I need you four to distract them for a bit while I make the catapults." The four began to fight of the ghost attackers. Ed began to make the catapult with his alchemy. He aligned up each catapult to hit the designated areas Ed had mapped out in his plan. Ed set it up so that when he cut one string it will send all of them flying at once. "Okay guys, get in! From left to right it will be Elfman, Natsu, Erza, and then Gray!"

Each one got in the designated catapults. Within an instant, they were each sent flying. They were all going incredibly fast, but the ghosts noticed what Ed was doing and began to try to stop them. Damn, there are too many for all of us to stop. Natsu thought. Out of nowhere, what sounded like clap could be heard from the ground where they were just launched. What seemed like bullets flew by each of the flung Fairy Tail members, taking out ghost wall in front of them.

They turned around to see Ed with what seemed to be a bunch of gunners on the beach, sending a spray of bullets to clear the way for his friends. Just as the last ghost was taken out, Gray, Erza, Natsu, and Elfman flew into their designated areas. Ed breathed a sigh of relief. Okay, now that they are all in, I can try to help out these guys out here. Ed thought. It is all up to you guys.
