"The Bet"

Author's Note: Some Fred Weasley ll and Aries Malfoy frenemy relationship. No, they will not be in any sort of romantic situation because that would be gross considering the fact that Aries is related to Rose and Hugo Weasley.

Disclaimer: I only own Aries.

Fred Weasley and Aries Malfoy were well know throughout the school. Their arguments echoed through the halls and drew quite the crowd. However, one thing many people don't know is that Fred Weasley, know as Freddie, is also friends with Aries. On the first train ride to Hogwarts on the Hogwarts Express, Freddie kept Aries company, not knowing that she was a Malfoy. At the Sorting, he decided to annoy her on wits end once he heard that she was a Malfoy. From pranks to bets, he was succeeding. After James Sirius Potter started at Hogwarts three years later, he joined Fred on his pranking spree.

It was now Freddie and Aries' fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Aries was scolding/yelling at Freddie for his pitiful test/homework scores. It was the usual scolding of your scores will get you nowhere in life.

"You're not even listening to me, are you!?" Aries threw her hands up in exasperation.

"Why of course I'm not." Fred answered.

"Why do I even try anymore? You know what, Frederick Weasley, I'm fed up with you. We'll make a deal. If you can get an Acceptable or higher on any test or homework assignment for the next month straight nothing lower, I will dye my hair Ravenclaw blue for the next month. If you don't get an Acceptable or higher, I will personally tell Headmistress McGonagall that you drew a mustache on Phineus Nigellus' portrait."

Fred looked surprised. He was normally the one who made up the deals and bets, not Aries. He felt intrigued.

"Why Aries Malfoy, you have a deal." He stuck out his hand and Aries shook it.

One month later...

One of Freddie's and Aries' arguments were starting up again. Everyone knew about their bet. Galleons were being exchanged as the crowd was drawing nearer to the duo. Aries was sporting blue hair. She didn't seem upset by it. But, she was clearly upset about one thing.

"FREDERICK WEASLEY! DID YOU BUY BLUE HAIR DYE THAT LASTED ONE YEAR!?"

Never a peaceful moment.
