Goldilocks and the Threesome

Part Six:

Chekov was woken abruptly. Scrambling into a sitting position, he looked around for the cause. Disorientated at first by the strange room he found himself in, it took Chekov a moment to remember where he was. When he did, he hurried to get out of the bed, worried that the noise that had woken him might be the sound of the captain and his lovers returning.

The light coming in through the open window told Chekov that it was late afternoon. If they weren't home already, they were undoubtedly on their way. Leaning against the wall, he struggled to tug his boots back on.

He hadn't meant to sleep so long. Shouldn't have slept at all, if he had been wiser. But Chekov had spent a restless night, hiding under that very bed. He hadn't dared to sleep then, in case he had been caught. Not that he would have been able to, anyway, with what had been going on right above his head.

All. Night. Long.

By the time the three senior officers finally left, Chekov had been hungry, tired and quite possibly scarred for life.

He knew that he didn't have much – if any – time to get out. They would know that someone had been there, of course, because of the mess he'd left, but that was the point, wasn't it, to know that they could be found.

Chekov reached for the door handle. As he did, the door swung open, revealing the captain, Lt. Spock, and Lt. McCoy. They wore nothing but their underwear.

Underwear and big grins.

"Ah, Ensign Chekov!" Captain Kirk said merrily, brandishing what appeared to be a riding crop. "We were just about to wake you."

Behind Kirk, Spock help up a bottle of lube, and beside him, McCoy was holding something that made Chekov's eyes widen in shock. He really didn't want to know what they intended to do with that, and he wasn't in the mood to find out. Chekov panicked and tried to run, but there was nowhere to go. They forced him back into the room and slammed the door shut.

Hours later, Jim, Bones, and Spock stood in the doorway of the cabin, watching Ensign Chekov walk despondently toward the shuttle craft that would take him back to the Enterprise. He was surreptitiously rubbing his wrists, face pale. Every few steps he snuck a glance behind him at the three men.

"I bet he never looks at riding horses the same way again," Bones commented in an amused drawl.

"Well," Jim said, snaking an arm around the man's waist. "You are quite a stallion."

"Forgive me for correcting you, Jim," Spock interrupted, "but as I recall, you were the one doing the riding."

This prompted another bout of laughter from Bones and Jim. Stoic Spock, as always.

"Perhaps we have made a grave mistake?" he mused after a moment.

"How so, Spock?" Bones asked, dropping a lazy arm around the other man's shoulders.

"It is no secret that Mr. Scott is exceptionally fond of the young man," he said. "He will not be happy that we have, as you would say, 'ruined' him. I imagine that, as far as Mr. Scott is concerned, riding lessons for Mr. Chekov were still in the planning stage."

They stared, wide eyed, at Spock for a long moment then dissolved into hoots of laughter. Jim had to grab the doorway for support.

"I am never," Bones gasped, "using a transporter again. Ever!"

"Aw, come on," Jim said. "You always wanted to know where the admiral's dog ended up. This is your chance to find out!"

In the distance, a shuttle rose above the treeline. The three men stood at attention, saluting the ship until it rose out of sight. Then, they crowded back into the cabin, still laughing about their uninvited visitor and how he made their not-so-secret get away the best one ever.

Later, aboard the Starship Enterprise, Montgomery Scott listened to Pavel describe his adventure ashore with growing irritation. The young man was unusually skittish, staring at his feet and blushing furiously.

Damn that Kirk and his boyfriends! Scotty thought. He'd spent months earning Pavel's trust, convincing him that there could be more between them than just friendship. All that hard work, thrown away for the captain's amusement!

"Dinnae worry, laddie," he said. "We'll have 'em back for this."

Pavel looked up at the older man from beneath his lashes and gave him a small, grateful smile that made Scotty's heart skip a beat. He cleared his throat as he shifted in his seat.

"Now," he said, "Why don't ye come over here and let me check ta make sure they've done no lasting damage..."
