In case you don't know, Pi is praying.
Often times the boy would show an unusual habit. He would kneel on the ground and spout incoherent muttering of a language I could not understand. This lasts about five minutes each time. I will never figure out why he does it. On some good days he would do it three times before the sun sets, three! Why he does will just be another human mystery, one of the many. This is something else the human does that is strange and unnatural, I'll just stay away.
