Rin
I sighed and slumped down on my bed. Training was exhausting, maybe that was because it was in the morning so I wasn't fully awake. I found out that I couldn't use Earth element jutsus. That means I can only use water and lightning now. 3 out of the 5 elements are already gone. I was running out of time. It's been 3 days since I told Tsunade about my memories, it's only a matter of time before I'm kicked out of the village and labeled rogue.
I only hang out with Hinata, the rest of them avoid me if at all possible. The air turns really awkward if I run into someone. Hinata sticks by me though, and so does Sasuke, *cough* overprotective. I train with Sakura and Naruto so it's not as awkward, but they still refuse to look me in the eye. Tenten tries to talk to me, but she always gets nervous, stutters, and then ends up running away. After three days of all this, I got pretty used to it. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
I heard a knock on my door and Sasuke walked in. "We've got a mission."
I pumped my fist in the air, "Finally!"
"All right! Princess Gale, you rule! Good sticks it to evil once again!"
"Hey! What the heck do you think your doing up there?!"
Naruto fell from the roof and landed on his back. I chuckled and glanced at Sasuke as he rolled his eyes at Naruto's stupidity.
"What's the big idea?" Naruto complained.
The movie manager stalked over to Naruto angrily, "Don't play stupid with me! You snuck in here without paying, you lousy little free loader!"
"Wait, you've got it all wrong! We were just getting a little training in while watching the movie."
"Training? For what?"
Sasuke jumped down from the roof and landed next to Naruto. Sakura and me followed suit.
"We have tickets." Sasuke said matter-of-factly. Me and Sasuke both held up our tickets as proof. The manager stood dumb folded.
"Are you ninja from the leaf village?" he asked.
"You bet we are!" Naruto grinned, "You're looking at the next Hokage, at a super ninja, pal!"
Sakura faced palmed and I sighed. He kept ranting on and on and on. He was suddenly interrupted when something flew through the air and hit him in the head. People started throwing numerous objects telling him to shut up and what not.
I ducked under a flying soda and Sasuke sidestepped a popcorn box.
"Kakashi-sensei is late again." Sakura complained. She leaned against some pipes Sasuke and I sat on.
"What else is new?" asked Sasuke.
"We shoulda watched another movie." I sighed.
Naruto stared dreamily at the billboard of the movie while complementing the princess.
"I don't want to hear it!" screamed Sakura, "You made such a racket in there we didn't get to see the whole movie." She sighed, "I wish I could've stayed a bit longer, I could watch Michi who plays Tsukekuro all day long. Of coarse he's nothing compared to you Sasuke."
I gagged and pointed a finger to my mouth, Sakura glared at me and I just laughed, "He's a stupid actor, what's the point in having a crush on him? You'll probably never see him in real life." I asked.
"So? It's usual to have a crush on a favorite movie actor. Haven't you ever really like a movie? The characters are what draw you to it!" She said passionately.
I looked down, "This is the first time I've ever watched a movie."
She blinked and then blushed, "Oh….Sorry."
I quickly dismissed it with a wave of my hand.
Naruto went back to staring at the billboard.
"I wonder where my Princess Gale is. If I could fight for a girl like that I'd be on cloud 9." He said dreamily.
"Whatever, it was just a movie." Sasuke interjected.
"See! My point exactly!" I added.
"It's funny, I wonder why Kakashi-sensei told us we had to see this movie before he gave us our mission." Sakura wondered.
I suddenly tensed, we all jumped up to our feet.
"Do you hear that?" I asked. "It sounds like…."
Suddenly a white horse carrying the actress who played princess Gale jumped over the fence we stood by and took off down the road.
"No way.." sakura said stunned.
Sasuke and I jumped back just in time. Naruto and Sakura however didn't. The gate, which the princess had jumped over, flung open hitting them both and sending them tumbling to the ground. Men on horses came stampeding out.
"Let's go." Sasuke ordered. We sprung forward onto the roofs.
One of the men threw a net towards the Princess, Naruto successfully blocked it with shuriken and used his doppelgangers to take out the nearby guards.
Princess Gale raced down the steps, but the guards threw vials containing brown liquid in front of her, the horse slipped and sent the princess sprawling to the ground. The men tackled the princess.
The princess, who was actually Sakura with a henge up, hit one of the soldiers on the head hardly. In a puff of smoke she was back to her normal appearance.
"Get off me!" she shouted.
I poofed from being the horse back to my normal body, which was now covered in this brown liquid. "Yuck! What is this stuff?! Next time, I get to be the princess and you can be the horse!" I yelled at Sakura.
A man, obviously the leader sat surprised on his horse, "Who're you?" he asked.
Sasuke appeared behind him and knocked him unconscious. The men cowered before him and ran….right into the direction me and Sakura were in. Both of us were livid. We both positioned ourselves and got ready to attack.
"What are you guys doing?" Kakashi asked when he saw us tying each of the men up.
"Killing time." Sasuke and I said together.
He poofed in front of us and released all the men who were tied.
"Geesh, I'm really sorry about this." He apologized an older soldier, who was probably the leader.
"Wait….what?" I asked confused.
He turned towards me, "This is the gentlemen that hired us for our mission today." Kakashi informed us.
I rubbed my neck sheepishly, "Oops."
"Our mission is to guard Yukie Fujikaze, the actress best known for Princess Gale." Kakashi told us.
"Guard?" Sasuke asked. He, Sakura and I sat in chairs in front of the movie director, and Yukies manager.
"Well maybe not guard her so much as escort her."
"The next princess Gale movie is the one were shooting abroad." The script manager explained, "I don't need to tell you our leading women is a bit of a diva."
"Sorry I do apologies." The leader of the men, or as we learned Yukies manager, game a small bow.
"I'll tell you theses leaf ninja are impressive." The director complemented, "They took care of those stunt men body guards we hired like it was child's play. And those were some big fellas."
Sasuke sat emotionless on his chair, Sakura was siting next to him smiling and bobbing her head up and down and I sat picking the brown gunk out of my hair. It had turned into a gluey like object. I pulled a small piece out with a small "Ouch."
"Well, uh thank you." Kakashi said awkwardly.
"Next time, I recommend you don't use this gunk on people. It's sticky." I pulled out another glob uninterested at where this conversation was going.
"I apologies." Yukies manager said hurriedly.
"Look at those cliffs!" Sakura exclaimed looking at a picture taped to the wall.
"That's the rainbow glacier," said a voice, "In the land of snow."
We turned and saw to actors from the movie, one a bald monk and the other a buff guy with brown hair that stuck out on both sides of his head.
"You played the part of Burriken!" Sakura exclaimed at the monk.
"That's where were gonna shoot the scenes for the films big climatic ending." The buff guy said.
"Your Hidero! You play Shishimaru!" she clasped her hands in front of her in joy.
"Land of Snow?" Sasuke asked uninterested, "A long way to go to shoot some movie."
"Yukies manager, Sandayu, suggested it, he said the glaciers turns several different colors in the springtime." The script director told us.
"That's just an old legend." Kakashi spoke up. I paused in the middle of picking a glob to stare at him. "The truth is there isn't any spring in the land of snow."
"What? Not ever?" Sasuke asked suddenly interested.
"Does that mean it's winter all year long?" I asked, remembering a place Orochimaru once took me for experimenting. I didn't see much, but I remember a never-ending snowy land. It's what made it impossible to escape on my own.
"That's right." Kakashi nodded.
I dropped my hand from my hair feeling uneasy. Sasuke took it in his. I gave him a small smile. Kakashi glanced at us, Tsunade told him my past so he already knew everything. Seriously though, can a girl get no privacy?
"Kakashi was it?" the director asked, "From what I hear, this won't be your first time in the land of snow, is that true?"
"That was a long time ago." He said mysteriously. I stared at him, I didn't know he'dbeen to the land of snow, then again I barely know anything about him in the first place.
"They say it's a poor nation too." A voice behind us interjected. Some guy with long brown hair gave us a smile. Sakura's eyes had hearts in them.
"You played Tsukekuro, Oh Michi you were great!" she yelped.
"Actually in the story, my guy squandered everything the village had for worthless gizmos and doodads." Michi said.
"Yeah well I just hope they have heating. I'm not all that cut out for the cold." Hidero said while drinking a cup of coffee.
"Maybe you should run for the hills. Just like Yukie." Burriken laughed.
"She's not always like this is she?" Sakura asked.
All three actors glanced at each other.
"Yeah kinda." The director answered, "Poor Yukie, she wouldn't even know the meaning of the words dreams or aspirations. She's never been one to neglect her work. I don't know much about her personal life and I don't need to as long as she's giving her all when the camera rolling I won't have any complaints. Say what you will, but that women is a born actress."
"You're right. It's just… she started running from the set as soon as she found out we were going to the land of snow." The script director told us.
"I would too." I mumbled.
"What?" Sasuke asked.
"Nothing." I replied, I stood from my chair. "Is there a shower around here? This stuff is getting hard." I pointed at my hair with a bored expression.
The actors seemed to finally notice my problem for the first time. They all stared at my head in wonder.
"Your bodyguards like to throw brown goop at people." I informed them. Realization showed on their faces and they nodded and mumbled incoherently.
"You can use the shower in my dressing room." Hidero offered. Sasuke narrowed his eyes and gripped my hand again, while Sakura had hearts in her eyes.
"Oh Hidero!" she squealed.
I sighed and gently took my hand from Sasukes, "It'll be fine." I patted his head while he scowled at me.
"I didn't know leaf village ninja were so beautiful." He winked at Sakura and I. Sasuke rolled his eyes, while Sakura swayed.
"Is there a girls dressing room I can use instead?" I asked the director brushing Hidero's hand off my shoulder.
"You can use Yukies. It'll probably take a while before she's back anyway." Sandayu spoke up, "I'll take you there."
3rd POV
As they walked away Rins teammates who wasn't there stared at her.
"She's not happy about the land of snow." Kakashi said to no one in particular. Sakura and Sasuke nodded in agreement.
"How can you tell?" asked Hidero.
Kakashi sighed, "She stopped showing emotion again, she always gets like that when she doesn't want people to know how she feels. She's gone back to old habits."
"Are you drunk?" Naruto asked.
"Shut up! Go bug someone else!" yelled Yukie swaying slightly on the barstool. She loosely held a sake cup in her hand
Sandayu burst through the high curtains at the entrance of the bar with Sakura following closely behind him.
"Miss Yukie!" he urged, "Our boat to the land of snow is about to sail. Please we don't have much time."
Sasuke, Rin and Kakashi leisurely entered the bar following to where Sandayu was.
"No thank you. I'm bowing out as the Princess." Yukie said slurred.
"What on earth are you talking about?!" asked Sandayu.
"Ah, don't worry it happens all the time, okay? I mean lead actresses change from sequel to sequel c'mon directors change every 5 minu—"
"That's enough! You listen to me, there's no body on this whole planet who can play Princess Gale other than you, nobody!"
"How sweet." Rin said bored. Sasuke nudged her arm.
Sandayu kept telling her about how she can't quit, but the princess didn't really seem to care. Finally Kakashi sighed and walked up behind her.
"Guess there's no other choice." He said as he revealed his sharingan and she slumped unconscious.
"You have the sharingan?" Rin asked stunned
He turned to Rin with Yukie in his arms, " Ah, yeah I do. It's kinda my signature trademark."
She crossed her arms, "How do you have it? You're not even an Uchiha."
"It's a long story." He walked out of the bar before another word was said.
Yukie burst from the doors that came from the lower deck. Rin who was helping the workers build the set on the boat, looked at the actress.
"You've got to be kidding me!" she screamed.
Rin cringed, "Good Morning to you too." she said sarcastically.
Yukie sat blankly through hair and makeup. Rin finished the last board that needed to be raised and headed over to her team. Naruto was sitting on the floor, Sakura was standing next to him with her hands behind her back, Kakashi was leaning with his back against the railing on the side of the boat reading his perverted book, and Sasuke stood with his arms on the railing looking out at the sea. Rin sat on the railing next to Sasuke, while Kakashi was reprimanding Naruto about his duty to protect her and how he didn't have a choice.
They started rolling and Team 7 watched them live. Princess Gale begged Hidero not to die. The scene captured Naruto and Sakura who watched with worry. Sasuke and Rin stood with the same expression of slight amusement, yet uninterested at what was going on.
"I don't think I'm looking at the same person anymore." Naruto said amazed.
"That's Yukie for you," Sandayu spoke, "When the camera starts to role she comes to life. There isn't another actress on this Earth that can capture her brilliance."
Yukie started was starting to cry until she yelled, "Hold up."
The entire crew cringed, "What's Wrong?!" yelled the script director.
The question went ignored as Yukie called for Sandayu.
"Bring me my drops so I can cry." She ordered him.
"Yes of coarse!" he hurriedly brought the drops to her and put them in her eyes.
"They're spilling over!" she yelled at the director.
Sakura's eyebrow twitched along with Naruto's.
"Some actor." Rin rolled her eyes.
"Shishimoto!" Yukie yelled, back in character.
Rin
"Mr. Pakino we have a problem!" yelled the script director.
A giant ass glacier, well more like a small island stood in front of the boat.
"I woke up and this was waiting for me! We can't get through! What do we do?"
This just appeared this morning? Glaciers don't do that. It's so big we should've seen it before hand. I looked at it suspiciously. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
"Were shooting here!" the director shouted. "We're changing everything, everyone get ready to embark!"
I sighed, movie business is a pain in the ass. We all put on our coats and made our way onto the iceberg. We stood by a small heater. I chuckled as Naruto and Yukie yawned at the same time.
"Scene 36, cut 22! Action!"
Mao's evil laughed echoed through the air.
"Stay back, Princess, we'll take care of him!"
"Do you really think they're a match for me?!"
BOOOM! An explosion rang out on the nearby cliff.
"Is that in the movie?" asked Mao.
Kakashi poofed into the middle of the scene looking concerned.
"What do you think you're doing?!" They yelled. "You're ruining the shot!"
"Everyone get back!" I shouted, and we all sprung into action.
"Welcome friends, to the land of snow." Said a long purple haired guy clad in weird armor.
"You!" Kakashi and I screamed at the same time. We both turned towards each other.
"You know him?" we asked in sync. We were distracted though once another person appeared. She had pink hair, kind of like Sakura.
"Greetings, Princess Koyuki. I do hope you're still carrying around the hex crystal."
Kakashi's eyes widened, "Princess Koyuki?" he turned towards her.
Another person appeared out of the snow, he was fat and in the same armor as the others.
"You're as good as they say, Kakashi. Unfortunately it's not good enough."
The purple haired guy stole a glance at me, then his expression became slightly confused, "And what are you doing here?" he asked.
Everyone turned towards me and I inwardly groaned, "None of your damn business." I spat.
"Oh, fiery as always." He mused, "By the look of it, Orochimaru doesn't know you're here huh?"
I fell silent unsure how to respond, but he took that as a yes and laughed.
"Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Rin," Kakashi ordered, bringing me out of my thoughts, "Protect Yukie. Everyone, get back to the ships!"
Everyone looked unsure but panicked.
"Fubuki, Mizore I leave the princess to you." Nadare ordered.
Kakashi engaged Nadare while Fubuki and Mizore charged towards us. We moved to stand in front of Yukie.
Mizore brought out his snowboard and treaded down the hill threatening to flatten Naruto. Sasuke jumped and threw Kunais at him.
"Sasuke, those won't work!" I shouted.
The kunais deflected harmlessly off his armor. Sasuke tried a giant shuriken but that just shattered.
"Ice style, Blizzard!" Fubuki shouted. Ice shards flew towards him and came back like a boomerang when he dodged. They were like fricking heat seeking missiles.
"Fire style, fireball jutsu!" he melted the ice in a single breath.
"Get back to the ship!" I shouted. Everyone moved except for Yukie who stood paralyzed.
"Ice Prison!"
Sasuke jumped back dodging the pillars of ice.
"Yukie!" Sandayu shouted.
Naruto glanced back just as Mizore advanced toward him.
"We don't have time for this!" I grumbled, I picked up Yukie and ran towards the ship with Sandayu following close behind.
I glanced back as Naruto was punched in the gut and crashed into some ice.
"Naruto!" Kakashi yelled concerned.
"Damn." I cursed, I handed Yukie off to Sakura and stood protectively in front of them as Mizore advanced once again.
"keep running." I told Sakura, she nodded and continued towards the boat.
"Get outta my way, Rin." Mizore yelled.
"Yeah right, Fatty." I yelled back. I jumped and kicked a chakra infused foot at him. He brought up is arm and the armor sucked the chakra right out. Damnit.
"Your suits got better." I noted.
He grinned at me, "Of coarse after testing it out against you we came up with a few improvements."
I just rolled my eyes at him. He charged forward and jumped, aiming to hit me with his board. I ducked and grabbed the board form his feet, sending him sprawling.
"I always did hate this stupid thing. This was probably the only thing you could do that was fast besides eating." I broke the board in half with my knee. "Oops." I said mocking innocence.
"You brat!" he shouted.
I dodged his punch and blocked his kick. I took two steps back and swiped at his feet. 'With the armor they had ninjutsu would be useless in harming them. Oh well.' I performed hand signs "Lightning style: Discharge!" I slammed my hand into the floor and lightning surged through the floor at Mizore. It shocked him a little, but nowhere near the power it was suppost to. He laughed, "You really think that'll work on me?"
He charged and I jumped over him, but apparently not high enough. He grabbed my ankle and threw me. I crashed into the ice Fubuki had made during her battle, shattered it and flew straight into her. On the bight side: I saved Sasuke, on the downside: my head took most of the impact.
"Rin!" Sasuke shouted. My vision was blurry and Sasuke's yell came out muffled. Fubuki had taken to the sky with her mechanical wings.
Sasuke ran next to me, "Are you okay?"
I saw Sakura being thrown by the extendo arm Mizore had.
"Sakura!" Naruto shouted. I cursed and got up, my head spinning. The iceberg shook as an ice whale shot from the middle of the ground. It broke the iceberg in half separating us and the crew from Kakashi.
"Sasuke, get everyone back to the ship! I'll get Kakashi-sensei!" I yelled as I jumped to the other glacier. He nodded helped Naruto while Sandayu got Yukie back to the ship.
I ran towards Nadare, who still hadn't noticed me.
"Water style: Snake mouth!" I thrust my hand outward and water shot out, turning into a snake and swallowing Nadare. Of coarse, his armor absorbed all the chakra from that technique and it dispersed, but by then I was already by Kakashi.
"We needa leave! Sakura's unconscious, Naruto's injured and the Princess is having a meltdown!" I whispered urgently.
"Not leaving so soon are you Kakashi?" he glared at me "Go away Rin, this fight has nothing to do with you."
"Too bad I don't give a damn." I snapped at him. I grabbed Kakashi's hand and jumped towards the direction of the other glacier.
"Ice style: Ice dragon!" Nadare called after us.
"Lightning style: Lightning Dragon!" I shouted. Our dragons tangled and bit at each other. A throb of pain rang through my head and I crumbled to the floor my dragon dispersing. I felt an arm, most likely Kakashi's, wrap around my waist and carry me.
"Ice style: White Whale Jutsu!" Kakashi yelled.
"Copying my moves again? You're not gonna win with those techniques." He patronized before performing the same jutsu.
"Win? That's not really what I was aiming for at the moment."
"What?" confusion appeared on Nadare's face, but Kakashi was already taking off with me in his arms.
"Do we go after them?" Mizore asked, watching the ship leave.
"No, we'll meet again soon enough." Nadare grinned.
I'm so sorry for the late update. Between school and getting ready for the Las Vegas Showcase for soccer I hade no free time and I had writers block. I just used the movie because it would at least give you guys something to read while I think. Thank you for sticking with me through this painful wait!
