Well, glad to see no one thinks this is an awful story yet! Yay! Anyways, now it's time to start season 1, probably least favorite season out of the four original seasons. But, it's what everyone saw first, so I still have a lot of love for it.

Chapter 4: Teddygozilla

It'd been a few days since XANA's first attack, and nothing major involving Lyoko had happened since. Well, unless Jeremy discovering that materializing Aelita was harder than he thought counts. Yumi, Ulrich, Odd, and myself were all currently setting up for prom. Odd and I were currently setting up a table.

"So, you going to the prom with anyone?" Odd asked me. I shook my head.

"Nah. It's not my thing. Not to mention I don't date right now." Odd nodded.

"Yeah, I don't have a date either. I don't think I'm gonna go."

"Hey, guys? Mind helping me with this?" Yumi asked, as she was carrying a ladder. Odd and I rushed over and helped her move it to the spot he needed it at. Ulrich came over, and helped me keep it steady as she climbed up to hang something.

"So, rumor has it that you and Yumi are going together. Can you confirm it?" I asked. Ulrich looked down and blushed.

"Maybe." He said. I grinned at Odd. Making them blush was pretty funny. I looked outside of the room, and saw two girls, one holding a camera, the other a microphone. It was Milly and Tamiya, minor characters in the show. They were filming for the school news.

"Ok, are we rolling?" Milly asked. Tamiya nodded, and looked through the lens. She then laughed.

"Yeah, but we're upside down." She and Milly giggled as the camera was turned in the proper way. They composed themselves, then started filming again.

"Hello, fellow students of Kadic Junior High, your ace reporters, Milly and Tamiya, are here to bring you an exclusive for our school news, and it's really big, since, as I'm pretty sure you already know, tonight is the big night, the night of our annual school prom." They walked over to the entrance, but stopped. "Unfortunately, our cameras weren't authorized to film the sight where the festivities will take place, but I can make out from where I'm speaking, the girl who might be crowned our beauty queen tonight, just as she was last year. I of course mean the principal's daughter, Sissi. Let's seen whether she'll answer a few questions." I faked a gag.

"Don't you need beauty to be in a beauty pageant?" I asked quietly, causing the others to snicker.

"Well Sissi, how about a few words for our TV audience before the big night?" Milly asked.

"Sorry munchkins. I only talk to real pro reporters." Sissi said in a stuck up voice. One of her cronies, Herb, covered the lens of the camera. "I have no time to waste on a couple of nerds."

"But it's for the school news program! What about freedom of the press?" Milly argued.

"Oh Milly, little dipsticks your age don't HAVE any freedom, understand?" Sissi said. "Anyways, who needs your dumb reporting? What do you know? Besides, don't forget you have to have a date. And I don't know ANYONE who'd wanna go with a dork like you. Even them! I'll bet if you ask them, they'd run like scared rabbits!" She pointed at Nicholas and Herb, who backed away from Milly with a disgusted look on their face.

"Y'know, it's not nice to talk about yourself like that Sissi." I said. I swear I heard a growl from the beast, but she still kept up her show.

"So what? Who needs them? There are lots of other boys!" Milly pointed out.

"What're you waiting for then? Try and find one!" Sissi laughed. Milly looked over at Ulrich, tears flowing down her face.

"Uh, Ulrich? Would you be date tonight?" She asked nervously. Ulrich scratched the back of his head sheepishly and blushed as Yumi came back down.

"Um, I'm sorry Milly. It wouldn't be a very good idea." He said. "I'm too old for you. And I uh... Promised to go with Yumi..." He looked over at Yumi, causing both of them to blush. Sissi laughed at her proven point.

"Y'see? What did I tell you? But don't worry Milly, I'm sure you'll find a boy for the sandbox dance. Meanwhile, why don't you go play with your dolls!" That was all it took for Milly to run out of the room, crying.

"Milly! Milly, wait!" Tamiya exclaimed, and went chasing after her.

"I hope you're proud of yourself." Yumi said disapprovingly. Sissi simply glared, then walked away. I sighed.

"Today's gonna be a long day..."

Jeremy's Room

Jeremy was in his room, typing away, as usual. He was trying to contact Aelita.

"Aelita? This is Jeremy, do you read me?" He asked. "Aelita?" Her face suddenly appeared on the screen.

"Hi, how are you?" She asked. Jeremy smiled.

"I'm fine. How about you?"

"Ok. I didn't anything unusual around the towers." Aelita reported. "Everything's quiet. Well... For the moment."

"Y'know," Jeremy started. "I'm making progress with my research, so that you can come and live with us." He said. He had been in his room all morning, and that's what he had been working on. Truthfully, he made only slight headway, but it was better than how he started.

"The key to materialization? You've found it at last!?" Aelita asked hopefully. Jeremy sheepishly scratched the back of his head.

"Uh, well no. Not yet, but... I'm working on it!" Jeremy exclaimed. "It's just a matter of time. Then, XANA won't be able to do anything to you... or us." He added. Aelita smiled at him.

"That'll be great, thanks." Jeremy smiled back.

At the gym

Ulrich ripped some tape off of the roll, then stuck it over some cords on the floor. At this point, Jeremy had joined us, and he and I were brining out some music in boxes.

"Don't look so gloomy, Ulrich." Yumi said. "Is it because of Milly? You could've said yes. Y'know, me and the prom."

"Even if I was your date?" Odd jokingly asked in the microphone. Ulrich sighed and looked up at Sissi, who was looking at her reflection in the disco ball.

"Sissi really did come on strong. If meanness is a quality of a beauty queen, she'll get reelected all right." I snickered as Jeremy and I set the boxes down.

"That's true, but try to get Ms. World to see that." Jeremy said.

"Ms. World, huh? Ms. In Her Own World is more like it." Odd and the rest of us laughed while Sissi growled. She stomped down the ladder, then glared at us.

"Laugh while you still can! You won't be laughing when you see that I will e beauty queen once again!" She angrily stomped off. I looked at the others.

"She does realize that no one cares, right?"

Garden Shed

Milly opened the door to the garden shed, tears still streaking down her face. She clutched her teddy bear tightly as she sat under the window.

"At least you don't care how old I am, do you? We understand each other." She said, smiling slightly. "We're not like those dumb older kids who always want to run things. They think because we're young we don't count at all." She smiled evilly, not noticing the light flickering above her. "If for once we were older, a lot older than them, they wouldn't laugh at us, would they?"

"Milly? Are you in there?" Tamiya asked, tapping on the glass. "Are you finished sulking? C'mon, we have work to do!" Milly sighed.

"Ok, ok, I'm coming." She set her teddy bear down. "You stay right there. I'll be back for you." She walked out.

"We have a report to finish on the prom, remember?" Tamiya asked as they walked away.

Unknown to them, sparks began flying from the flickering light. Suddenly, a grayish substance began dripping from the bulb, before finally dripping onto the teddy bear. The bear then stood up, and let out a ferocious growl that even a real bear would be frightened of.

Later

It was around lunch that a big commotion happened outside of the dorm entrance. The principal walked out with Sissi in a blue robe, looking terrified. We all looked at one another.

"All in favor of checking for XANA activity, raise your hands now." We all raised our hands. I nodded. "Let's go then." As soon as the crowd dispersed, we made our move. We went up to the girls dorms, and looked into Sissi's room. Just about everything had been torn apart in there.

"Well? What do you think?" Ulrich asked.

"How about a warzone?" I jokingly said.

"A simple short circuit. Too many appliances plugged in at the same time."

"Yeah, bright lights, lady shaver, curling iron all together, what do you expect to happen?" Yumi said as she walked off.

"Not to mention the brain stimulater. Although she probably never figured out how to use it." Odd added. We walked off, Jeremy staying for only a second more.

After Lunch

Odd and I were walking back to the auditorium when we noticed Milly and Tamiya. Milly was crying, and Tamiya was attempting to comfort her.

"Something wrong, Milly?" Odd asked.

"Someone stole her teddy bear." Tamiya replied.

"And I'm sure it was one of the big kids who did it for spite!" Milly angrily said. Tamiya looked at one of their photos.

"Milly, you're right! Look at this! It's a picture of Sissi's room."

"And there's my teddy bear, hidden under her pillow! Incredible!"

"Who'd have believed it? Soon she'll be playing with dolls." I said with a smile.

"Ok, c'mon now! We've gotta find her!" Milly exclaimed.

"If Jim catches us in the dorm, we're in big trouble Milly." Tamiya said with a worried glance.

"You go back to your room, we'll handle this." We made our way back to Sissi's room, but we couldn't find the bear. I looked over at Odd.

"This day keeps getting weirder and weirder." He nodded in agreement as we walked out.

Auditorium

Jeremy was testing out the sound as the rest of us helped him.

"What happened to Sissi... It was kinda weird, don't you think?" He asked.

"It was a short circuit. A simple short circuit, what else could it be?" Ulrich asked.

"I'm not so sure, and you know just what I mean."

"Anyways, let's play it real cool. Walls have ears, y'know." Yumi said as Nicholas and Herb walked by. "I should get going. I have to get ready for the prom tonight. Sometimes being a day student can be a total drag.

"Don't complain. No wakes you up at six AM, you have hot water, and you don't have to sleep next to smelly Odd." Yumi smiled as she waved bye to us. Odd then walked over to me.

"I just overheard that Jim got attacked." He told me. I gave him a worried look.

"By who?" I asked, knowing very well who it was.

"That's what I'm about to try and figure out." I nodded and began following him.

At the infirmary

Mr. Delmas walked out and was surprised to see us. "Odd, Emily, are you two looking for something?"

"Oh uh, no. You see, we just heard about what happened to Jim." Odd said. "Do they know who attacked him?"

"Uh, no. For now I think our gym teacher could use some rest." He threw away a crumpled up piece of paper before walking away. Odd went over and pulled the drawing out, gasping at what he saw.

"What? What's wrong?" He showed me the paper, which revealed a crude drawing of a teddy bear.

Under the arches

"XANA, in a teddy bear?" Ulrich asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, we're pretty sure." Odd said.

"He's always there when you least expect it." Jeremy noted.

"Ok, so who goes, and who stays here?" Odd asked.

"We can't do a solo mission, it's too dangerous. If you go alone, you never know what you're gonna find over there."

"I volunteer!" Odd said.

"What did I just say, huh?" Jeremy said with an annoyed tone.

"Well have you got any other ideas?" Odd asked. "There has been two accidents, and we can't leave the school unguarded. And even going back in time, if there's an accident, it's all over!"

"Wait a sec! You guys seem to be forgetting me! Odd doesn't have to do a solo, we can do a duet!"

"Their right." Ulrich said, crumbling the paper again. "You guys go, I'll stay here. If I find any clues, I'll pass them onto you. Go on, and say hello to you know who for me." Jeremy blushed and nodded.

Odd, Jeremy, and I made our way to the boiler room to use the passage way into the sewers. We then grabbed oir scooters and scateboards and rode to the other end of the sewers, and ran into the facotory. We swung down, then went into the elevator, Jeremy stopping at the lab.

"Aelita? It's me, Jeremy. Do you read me?"

"Hi." Aelita responded.

"We think XANA has launched an attack. Have you noticed anything?" Aelita shook her head in response.

"No, nothing. But we can take a closer look." She replied.

"Aelita, I'm sending Odd and Emily. Ulrich had to stay behind to watch for any virus action at school. Speaking of which, Ulrich, how's it going?"

Back at the school, Ulrich shined his flashlight on some giant footprints. "It looks like we have a problem; a BIG one."

Jeremy frowned, but said nothing as he started the virtualization process. "Transfer, Odd. Transfer, Emily. Scanner, Odd. Scanner, Emily. VIRTUALIZATION!"

On Lyoko

Odd and I landed in the rocky and barren Desert Sector. As we landed, I remembered that WAY too many episodes took place in this sector this season. We looked behind us, and found Aelita waving at us. We ran over to her as fast as we could hear Ulrich over the phone.

"Bad news guys: The bear got out of the school." He reported.

"If it's under XANA's control, it'll only become much madder. It'll go for anyone who's around." Aelita said. "Especially his mortal enemies... Like you."

"Huh!?" Jeremy gasped.

"Oh no, Yumi!" Ulrich exclaimed, then hung up.

"XANA probably won't go after the factory, Jeremy. He's in the supercomputer, he'd be stupid to do that." I assured him.

"Right, but we'd still better hurry, unless you want to eat Yumi and Ulrich pancakes for breakfast." Odd said. I nodded, and looked down into the spiraling path in front of us.

"You see that? The tower that XANA activated can't be too far away." Aelita said.

"Well, it's not down there anyway." Odd commented. Aelita nodded.

"Maybe on one of the neighboring plateaus." Aelita suggested. Odd nodded, but we found some unwelcomed guests approaching.

"Too late. Here comes the reception committee." Odd said. I pulled out my staff as Odd prepared to fire some arrows.

"Odd, Emily, take good care of Aelita." Jeremy said.

"We have no plans on losing her, Einstein." Then the Roachsters (I'm not kidding, that's their season 1 name) began their assault. Odd dodged a few laser as I held up a small barrier on my staff.

"Guys! What're you doing!?" I fired a Magic Blast from my staff, but unfortunately I missed.

"How about all that we can!?" I responded. Odd did a few flips to avoid being hit.

"Laser Arrow!" He hit one, but was then struck by a laser in the chest.

"Odd, you just lost 10 Life Points."

"No kidding!" Odd said, ducking to avoid being hit again.

"Emily, Odd, I'm afraid we haven't any choice!" Aelita exclaimed, pointing to the spiraling path. I nodded.

"Got it!" I fired another blast, this time hitting another Roachster. "Yeah! My accuracy isn't THAT terrible!" I then began running with the others.

At Yumi's House

Ulrich frantically pressed the doorbell at Yumi's house, occasionally looking back to make sure his playmate hadn't found him yet. He ran inside her house as soon the door opened.

"Hey! Watch it, will you?" Yumi exclaimed.

"Sorry." He apologized. "Are your parent's home?"

"No, they went out." Ulrich grabbed Yumi and quickly pulled her outside.

"Ok. C'mon, we can't stay here." Yumi retracted her hand.

"Hey, mind explaining?" The earth suddenly began to shake around them and a large shadow began creeping up on the two. Yumi gasped when she looked back.

"No time to explain." Ulrich grabbed her hand again and began running.

Back on Lyoko

XANA is very persistent. These monster would not leave us alone.

"Odd, be careful. You only have 50 Life Points left. Emily, you have 90, but don't let your guard down." Jeremy said.

Odd looked behind us, and raised his wrists. "Laser Arrows!" He fired three more arrows, two of them hitting their targets. The explosion of one of the monsters knocked over the last remaining Roachster, which fell in front Aelita, which caused her to fall.

Odd, however, reacted almost immediately. He jumped down after her, grabbed her, then stopped himself by digging his claws into the rock. He and I both let out a sigh of relief.

"We can't leave you alone for one second, huh?" He asked jokingly.

"Odd, I think I found something." Aelita reported, looking into a hidden pathway.

"That's great guys, but how do you expect me to get down there?" I asked.

"Jump! Trust me, I'll catch you!" I sighed as Aelita let go of his hand and jumped in the path.

"He better devirtualize me if he doesn't catch me." I thought. I close my eyes and jumped down, my hand extended so he could reach it. My descent suddenly stopped, and I opened my eyes to find Odd grinning at me.

"You really need to put more trust in your friends."

"Jeremy, it's Ulrich." Ulrich said over the phone. "Yumi's with me. We're going back to the school to evacuate everyone. Tell Odd and Emily to move it! Things are getting rough around here." With that, he hung up again.

"Guys! Hurry up! Teddy's getting real angry." Jeremy reported.

"Ok, ok."

"The tower can't be too far away." Aelita reported. "Let's see now..." We suddenly heard a sound behind us. We turned around and gasped when we saw a giant black ball rolling at us. XANA sent his strongest monster after us: A Megatank.

"Um, Houston, we have a problem." Odd said as we began running.

"XANA's playing bowling, and we're the pins! He seems to be going after a strike!" I exclaimed. We finally reached the end of the path, and just in time too. We all jumped in different directions away from the Megatank. The Megatank itself stopped in front of just what we were looking for: the activated tower.

"We found the tower Jeremy." Odd reported.

"Great, now all you guys have to do is deactivate it!" Jeremy said.

"Ok, just give me a sec to say hello to an old buddy of mine." Odd said, staring at the Megatank.

"Cut the courtesy, Odd." Jeremy warned. "You only have 50 Life Points left! One hit and you're done for!" Odd took aim at his 'old buddy', as it opened up its shell.

Auditorium

Ulrich around the auditorium, which was now packed full of students. He was so busy trying to make his way to the stage, that he wasn't watching where he was going, and accidentally ran into Jim.

"Hey, Ulrich! You could've made a little effort. I can't believe how sloppy you look!" Jim said. "I'll let it slide this time. Leave it to the company you keep." Jim patted Ulrich on the back. "Try to chill out and have fun, you look like you're expecting a disaster." Ulrich kept walking forward, until he was stopped by the last person he wanted to see, Sissi.

"Hey, Ulrich, how are you?" She asked. "Hey, where did your date go? Next time, you should just call me!"

"And now the moment you've all been waiting for!" The principal announced. "The election of this years Beauty Queen! So get ready!"

"Gotta run now! It's my moment us triumph!" Sissi explained as she walked off. Nicholas and Herb began laughing until Ulrich gave them a look that basically said "Shut up."

Back on Lyoko

The Megatank fired its huge laser, which Odd and I dodged just in the nick of time.

"Now that's what I call a really warm welcome." Odd tried to prepare to fire again, but the Megatank once again prevented him from doing so.

"Jeremy!" Aelita called. "Odd and Emily can't do this alone!"

"Yes they can!" Jeremy exclaimed. "C'mon guys, you have to hit the target!"

Auditorium

"And now everyone, this year, once again, it's time to elect the young lady, who in your view, has more than any other girl, charm, grace, beauty, and elegance." Mr. Delmas said. "And here is our first candidate..."

"Stop!" Ulrich yelled into a mic. "Listen to what I have to say! You have all got to get out of here! We have to evacuate the gym" He took a deep breath before continuing, knowing what he was about to say was stupid. "Now, keep calm, I'm not joking. This is serious: We are about to be attacked by a gigantic teddy bear!" The room was suddenly filled with laughter.

"I knew it!" Jim suddenly shouted. "I saw it too! I saw the giant teddy bear too!" The room was filled with even more laughter.

"Quiet! Shut up all of you!" Sissi screeched. "Can't you see what he's trying to do? It's a trick I tell you. A trick to keep me from winning again this year!" She yelled. "A gigantic teddy bear, why not King Kong while you're at it!?" The floor beneath them began to shake, and the wall crumbled, revealing the XANAfied toy. Everyone aside from Ulrich ran away, shrieking. Ulrich gulped when he saw the possessed teddy bear look his way, the eyes flashing with the mark of XANA.

Lyoko

"Odd, it's now or never!" Jeremy said. The Megatank fired it's giant laser wall again, but Odd dodged. I noticed that the Megatank was about close as Odd jumped into the air, so I threw my staff at it, blocking it from closing. Odd landed on the Megatank, his arm up and ready to fire, and yelled, "Impact!" When he did fire. The giant bowling ball rolled away, and exploded. Odd landed on tge ground and gave us a thumbs up.

"Go on Aelita, it's up to you." Jeremy said. Aelita walked into the tower.

Auditorium

Ulrich attempted to run, but he couldn't move. He finally ran right before he was crushed. The teddy bear knocked him over, making him land on his ankle wrong. As the bear came closer, he closed his eye. The bear raised its arm, but it never came back down. Aelita had deactivated the tower.

"Ulrich! Are you ok?" Yumi asked. Ulrich weakly smiled.

"Yeah, sure." Yumi hugged the brunette, causing him to blush.

Back at the factory, Jeremy started the return trip.

"Return to the past, now!"

Ulrich broke away from Yumi's hug. "Ready for a trip into the past, Yumi?" Yumi simply smiled.

Earlier

We were back to earlier this morning. But this time, we had a twist in mind.

"Ulrich," A crying Milly said, "would you be my date?" Ulrich smiled at her and walked over to her.

"Be glad to, Milly. I'll see you here at eight." The look on Sissi's face was absolutely priceless.

"Really?" Milly asked, slightly shocked.

"Why sure. You're not to mad at me, are you, Yumi?"

"Not at all." Yumi replied with a smile. "Anyway, my secret admirer will take me tonight, right Odd?" Odd grinned.

"What!?" Sissi exclaim, absolutely flabbergasted. "But... Ulrich! You're gonna.. Go with that silly baby!?"

"That's right, I am." Ulrich proudly stated. "But don't worry, when your brain gains another neuron or two, maybe I'll go out with you too."

"Of course, he'd have to lose a few before even considering it!" I chimed in. We all laughed as Sissi stormed off angrily, her cronies following behind.

"You are recording, I hope, Tamiya."

"You bet I am!" Tamiya exclaimed. "This a scoop!"

"A super scoop!" Milly said. I grinned. Being in this world is so much fun.

I am SO SORRY about the really long wait. I haven't had time to write with school, but I've been sick the past few days, so I figured I should try to get back into the swing of things.

I'm gonna try to update more, but with school, and I'm moving this summer, I may not always find time for writing
