Hey, everyone! I know you're probably wondering "Why haven't you updated in so long?!" Well, the answer is "School". I got back from Spring Break and School has kept me very busy. I only have about one more month of school! :) So, I know you wanna know where I went on Spring Break. I went to Virginia and Washington, DC. :) I had an AMAZING time! :) But, I'm glad to be back and updating! I'm going to attempt to update on Monday's and Thursdays. I would have updated yesterday, but my power went out for some reason. :-/ So, thank you to everyone who reviewed, and I hope you enjoy this chapter! :)-Alyssa

Suddenly, just as the clock struck 9:00, Speed and the other Adders barged into Big Momma's. Butchy was standing with the girls on the other side of Big Momma's when they came in. When the door flew open, pretty much everyone jumped.

"What was with the door slamming?" Lela asked.

"I wasn't slamming it. I just didn't open it gently." Speed snapped.

"You didn't get up when you usually do, did you?" Bolt asked, sitting next to Coral with his arm around her.

"I got up when I usually do. I just couldn't find something, that's all."

"Uh, huh. He got up late." Bolt whispered the last part to Coral.

"Hey, Bolt, you want to, uh, help me in the kitchen? Big Momma is coming in a little late today, and some of the staff is sick."

"I'd love to help out my girlfriend!"

"If you need extra help, I can help out too!" Giggles offered.

Several of the other surfer girls agreed.

"Well, if you're sure." Coral said smiling.

As all the girls ran into the kitchen, Jennifer was looking around.

"See anyone?" Speed whispered to her.

"Only one. And that's Hunter." She replied.

"Do you have a plan to lure him in?"

"Indeed I do. I'll put it into action tonight."

"Perfect."

Speed looked over to where Butchy was standing.

"Butchy! It's time for us to race." Speed said, walking outside.

"Good luck. Just do your best." Tessa said.

"Thanks." Butchy said, walking outside.

After a few minutes, the two were ready to race. Lugnut took a table cloth and tied it to a branch in order to create a flag.

"Are you both sure you want to go though with this?" Lugnut asked.

"Yes, now get on with it!" Speed said.

Butchy and Lugnut both flinched at the sharpness in Speed's voice.

"Ok. On your mark..."

The two started their engines.

"Get set..."

Speed revved his engine and inched forward. In response, Butchy also revved his engine and inched forward.

"Go!" Lugnut called, dropping the flag.

And they were off. Tessa watched them start, but after that, she couldn't watch.

"Don't worry, I's sure he's gonna win!" CheeChee said.

"You's right. He can beat Speed, no problem."

For the next five minutes, Tessa paced back and forth. After 3 minutes, it started annoying Struts and CheeChee. But once it hit 5 minutes? Forget it! One more minute and those two would've blown their top!

"Tessa! Calm down, and sit down!" Struts said, fed up with the pacing.

"I can sit down, but I will not be calm until I know who won!" Tessa said, sitting.

Moments later, a sullen looking Lugnut walked inside.

"Speed won, didn't he?" Tessa asked.

Lugnut just nodded, confirming Tessa's fears. Lugnut went over to Struts, who hugged him as soon as he reached her. All Lela could do was run into Tanner's arms. Mack, however, was determined to stay strong for her friends. As soon as Butchy walked in, everyone looked in his direction. Butchy suddenly became very interested in his shoes. Tessa was the first to speak.

"It's alright. You tried. That's all that matters." Tessa said, walking over to Butchy and giving him a big hug.

"I know. I just can't stand to know that Speed is one contest away from winning! If he wins, I's got to leave, and you's got to stay here. Tessa, I can't lose you. Not after all that's happened."

"I understand. But you can't dwell on that. Don't look at what might happen. Live in the here and now. Not the past. Not the future. Right here, at this moment."

Butchy smiled and whispered in Tessa's ear.

"What do you say to another date? This time we'll come right here to Big Momma's. We'll have it to ourselves for the night."

"Sounds wonderful." Tessa whispered back.

As the two walked out hand-in-hand, the surfers left for the beach, and all the other bikers left for their homes. However, they didn't realize that Speed and three others were standing in the shadows.

"We need better tactics. Todd, you's going to be doing something similar to what Jen is doing."

"And what's that, sir?"

"I'm going to lure Hunter in. He'll then trust me and eventually we'll have all of the Rodents' secrets."

"So, I's gonna do the same, only to a single girl?"

"Exactly. Now, you's both putting into action tonight. They's all gonna be on the beach tonight, so it's the perfect time. Todd, you know who's single and who's not. Figure out a way to lure her in. Now go!"

As soon as Speed said this, the two were out, leaving he third figure.

"Now you. Make sure they don't get emotionally attached, and be sure not to reveal yourself. Not yet, at least."

"Yes sir."

At that, the two left the building.
