I can't lie... Amnesia is a personal favorite. I'm a sucker for amnesia stories. I can't really explain why, I've just always been a sucker for them.

Overall the episode it fine. Nothing really special to note about it. Though knowing my luck and track record, I'm going to screw this chapter up because I like the episode. Ugh.

Chapter 20: Amnesia

It was another typical day at Kadic. I set my tray down next to Jeremy's as I reached our normal table. "Hey guys." I greeted.

"Hi, Emily." Jeremy responded. Odd was too busy devouring his food to reply and Ulrich just waved at me. "So, ready for science?"

"I guess so." I said with a shrug.

"What are we doing in there today anyways?" Ulrich asked.

"Maybe we're dissecting frogs." Odd suggested. I shrugged.

"I doubt it. We would've heard about what it was if it was something like that," I figured.

Jeremy shook his head. "It's nothing like that this time." He affirmed. "Actually, Ms. Hertz brought in-" Ulrich put up a finger to Jeremy's lips in a quick movement. Einstein gave his a surprised look as he sat back down.

"We're already gonna hear it from Ms. Hertz. I don't want to get a headache for the same reason twice." Ulrich said, making me snicker. Jeremy sent an unamused look towards my direction.

In class

"Here we have the nanosphere that the Nanotech service company was kind enough to lend us." Ms. Hertz said as she pushed the device forward, allowing us all to see it properly. It was a metal object with two flat surfaces on the top and bottom with for thin poles separating the sheets. There was also a glass case around a sort of gel on the inside of it. "Who can tell us what nano technology is?" Both Herb and Jeremy raised their hands (though really only a finger in Jeremy's case). Herb was making loud noises to try and get her attention, but she called on Jeremy in the end.

"It's microscopic sized technology." He answered. "There are nano motors, nano circuit boards, and nano gears." I nodded my head with intrigue, though almost everyone else seemed like they couldn't care less. Herb let out a humph of animosity and turned his head.

"Exactly." Ms. Hertz continued. "In the medical field, for example, scientists are developing nanodocters; tiny machines which will be able to travel through our bodies to combat disease." She informed us. "Scientific research however, still has a long way to go."

"Are these robots capable of fighting pimples, cellulite and, things like that?" Sissi then asked, which I have to admit, from her isn't that bad of a question.

Ms. Hertz let out a laugh alongside the rest of the class. "Yes they can, but the priority is for more serious illnesses."

"And nanotechnology can't do a thing about stupidity. Poor Sissi, what a shame!" Odd joked, then laughed at said joke. I rolled my eyes and smirked with a chuckle. Sissi let out an annoyed growl at everyone in response.

"Alright, now quiet down." Ms. Hertz said, getting back our attention again. "So, this nanosphere is used to make microscopic devices." She made a face down at the device as she removed the top half. "Strange, it hasn't been cleaned properly. Theres gelatin inside."

A grin formed on Ulrich's face as soon as he saw the gel. "Looks like the greasy stuff Odd puts on his hair everyday." He joked with a chuckle. Ms. Hertz smiled as she grabbed a translucent stick of sorts.

"Well, since you think you're so clever, Ulrich, why don't you take a sample for us to examine?" She requested. Ulrich nodded and dipped the stick into the gel. "The gelatin is used as a culture where nanodevices can develop."

Ulrich then lifted the gel closer to his face. "It looks an awful lot like jam." He noted, and leaned into to take a whiff of it. Odd had other ideas, however, and moved Ulrich head onto the stick. The blue, translucent gel stuck to his nose. Since I had been standing near them, a large portion fell onto my hand, and as soon as it did, I had a bad feeling about it.

I looked down at the gel and alarm bells went off in my head. "Oh no, Amnesia!" I thought to myself in a panic. Realization hit me like a truck as I remembered this episode. I quickly changed my expression back to what it initially was an shook the gel off. "Ok, maybe you're still fine. After all, its only on your hand. It only affects Ulrich so quickly because it was on his face." I internally grimaced. "No, it'll still affect me. Ugh... Well this will be interesting. I just hope I don't end up stumbling around like an idiot."

"Sorry, but I just couldn't resist." Odd said with a massive grin. The rest class had burst out into laughter.

"I'll get you for that, Odd!" Ulrich vowed with a grin.

"This is a science class, children, not a comedy club!" Ms. Hertz shouted. She continued her lesson for the rest of class. She let us off easy with no homework, though reminded us to study as we left. As we left the building to find Yumi, I could feel a dull pain in my head, which I took as a not so positive sign. We found Yumi standing underneath a tree, presumably waiting for the four of us.

"Hey, Yumi!" Jeremy greeted.

"Hey. How was the science lab?" Yumi asked. I shrugged.

"It was kinda cool. Better than half the stuff we do in there," I admitted. Jeremy, on the other hand, was still ecstatic about it.

"Wow, that nanotechnology is incredible." He gushed. "Now there's a field I'd like to work on it the future."

"I have enough trouble with normal sized technology, much less microscopic." Yumi answered, looking at her nails.

"That remark wouldn't have anything to do with a certain virus hellbent on killing our group, now would it?" I jokingly asked. I did my best to ignore the increasing pain in my head. Yumi chuckled and gave me an eyeroll and a smirk in response. "Anyways, I'm much more of a biology person. Well, if I had to pick something to study that's science related, anyways." I said. Ulrich said nothing as he opened a candy bar. The opening of the wrapper caught Odd's attention. Odd's mind seemed to always be on food.

"Hey, that looks good! Can I have some?" Odd asked. Ulrich smirked, then shoved the bar onto Odd's forehead.

"I warned you!" Is what he said to Odd's dumbfounded expression. Jeremy, Yumi, Ulrich and all started laughing. Odd joined in with a chuckle as well as he pulled the candy off of his head.

"Yeah," Odd acknowledged. "but taking advantage of my sweet tooth wasn't fair." Odd protested. I grinned at him.

"You should have been prepared, Odd." I said. "He did warn yo- augh!" I cried out suddenly. I grabbed my head as the pain became more intense. I nearly fell, but Ulrich and Odd caught me. Yumi and Jeremy gave each other alarmed expression before looking at me.

"Emily! Are you alr-" Ulrich then cut himself off when he cried out in pain too. Yumi caught him, and though I could hear her asking him something, I couldn't make out the words. My vision then turned black.

3rd Person POV

Odd gasped as Emily suddenly passed out in his arms. Yumi gave Ulrich a panicked expression and quickly asked,

"Ulrich! What's wrong!? What is it!?"

"It's my head! I- augh!" Ulrich then slumped against the tree as he too fell unconscious. The three still conscious Lyoko Warriors gave one another distressed looks as they tried to shake both Ulrich and Emily awake. Jim, who had noticed the sudden shouting, ran over to them to check out the problem.

"What's going on around here?" Jim asked.

"Ulrich and Emily passed out!" Yumi informed him, moving so Jim could see them.

"I'll take them to the infirmary." Jim said as he picked the two up. Yumi looked at Ulrich's limp body with a worried gaze.

"Do you need any help, Jim?" She asked. Jim shook his head.

"No. They're both lighter than they look." Jim then walked off, letting out a grunt was he headed towards the infirmary. Jeremy put a hand on their chin in though.

"They were both just fine this morning." He pointed out.

"I know, it's really weird!" Odd agreed.

"What do you think happened to them then?" Yumi asked.

"I haven't got a clue." Jeremy truthfully answered.

"You think it's XANA?" Odd quietly asked. The teen genius let out a hum of interest at the thought. He once again raised a hand to his chin and tapped it.

"It's an interesting theory, Odd, but XANA isn't directly capable of attacking humans." Jeremy finally responded. "Because if he could, I have no doubt he would've attacked us all already." Odd and Yumi looked at each other and both let out a similar noise. Neither were fully convinced, but otherwise said nothing in response. Odd then noticed a familiar brunette after several moments of silence.

"Hey, if's Ulrich!" He said, jerking his thumb towards Ulrich. Ulrich seemed to be being dragged around by none other than Sissi.

Yumi made a face at the sight. "What's going on? Why's he with Sissi?" She questioned. She then followed Odd alongside Jeremy towards the two in question.

"You feeling better, good buddy?" Odd asked, putting a hand on Ulrich's shoulder. Ulrich sent a nasty look towards him in response.

"Who are you, huh? Leave me alone, creep!" He told him, surprising the entire group. Odd quickly regained his composure and said,

"C'mon, Ulrich! It's me, Odd!" He tried. Ulrich looked ready to respond, but Sissi, who had a deathgrip on Ulrich's arm, seemed to have other ideas.

"That's enough." She said sternly. "Can't you see? He doesn't want to know you, so stay away from us, understand?" She didn't wait for a response, and was quickly dragging Ulrich with her away from the three other Lyoko Warriors.

"He didn't recognize us! That's crazy!" Jeremy exclaimed. "Could be amnesia..."

"Maybe we should go get Emily and find out what the nurse says." Yumi suggested, which earned a nod from Jeremy. "They both passed out at the same time, but I don't see Emily anywhere." Yumi pointed out with quick glance around them.

"Good idea." He agreed. Odd looked over at the duo of Ulrich and Sissi now walking out of the area.

"I've gotta bring him back to his senses. Sissi and Ulrich? Can you believe that?" With Odd words, they parted with their own goals in mind.

1st Person POV

I woke up and the first thing I noticed was that my head was killing me. I sat up with a groan and put a hand on my head. Then, I noticed that where I was. It didn't at all look familiar. There were two bed, one that I was on, and another empty one next to me. I raced through my thoughts to try and figure things out, but there was nothing.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized how little I remembered. Where I was wasn't there, and neither was my name. A sharp pain rang out throughout my head as I stood up. I looked around once more, this time the door catching my attention. I bit my lip. Ultimately, I decided to leave. Right as I opened the door, I could see a rather large man carrying a girl that was unconscious in his arms into the room. He seemed to ignore me as he entered, though as soon as he set the girl down, he looked over at me.

Becoming alarmed by this, I ran away from the room and ran towards a door that led outside. I looked back behind me as I ran, not at all noticing a person I then proceeded to run into. I fell down onto the ground. I looked up at the people. There was one blond boy with glasses, and a girl of some sort of Asian descent. I looked down towards the ground and muttered, "Sorry,"

"Emily!" The girl called out. So was that my name? "Are you alright?" Both she and the boy grabbed my arms and helped me up. I stared down at the ground, too nervous to talk. These people seemed to know me, but I had no memories of them. I folded my arms over my chest and held my arms tightly.

"Emily, are you alright? Do you remember us?" I closed my eyes and shook my head in response to the blonds question. He looked over at the girl. "She's got the same thing as Ulrich." He noted.

"Yeah." The girl nodded. "Alright, well we're your friends. That's Jeremy right there, and I'm Yumi." Seeing my unsure look, she added, "You can trust us."

"...Alright." I said with a nod. They then urged me to quickly follow behind them. They were heading towards the building I just ran out of. I trailed behind them as the opened the door. I was hesitant to go inside, but gulped and followed behind Jeremy as he entered. Yumi was already talking to a woman with blond hair. She seemed rather frantic with her movements. She shook her head as she walked past Yumi and opened the door to the room I was initially in.

"The answer is no!" She barked. "Can't you see I have no time? I don't know what's happening, but its an epidemic!" She motioned to the people lying on the beds as she spoke. While the girl was still there, now the man I saw earlier was lying there as well with a thermometer in his mouth. Jeremy let out a gasp at the sight and I simply stared with wide eyes.

"We could stay and help you, if you want." Yumi suggested. The woman let out an irritated sigh and looked back at us.

"The best way for you to help is to stay out of my way!" She pointed a finger at the door. We took it as our cue to leave and shut the door behind us as we exited. Yumi and Jeremy sent grimaces at one another.

"Maybe Odd had more luck." Yumi hoped. I tilted my head.

"Odd? Who's Odd?" I asked. That wasn't a persons name, was it? I got my answer when Jeremy pointed at a boy running up to us wearing purple, and had some really strange hair.

"No doubt about it," he said as he stopped in front of us. "Ulrich's got amnesia. I thought he was gonna slug me just now!"

"Erm, this may sound bad, but uh, who's Ulrich?" I asked. Odd gave me a bewildered expression, then turned his gaze towards the others.

"She has it too." Yumi told him with a solemn look. "And according to the nurse, its a real epidemic." Jeremy let his hand travel up to his chin in thought.

"But you don't just catch amnesia; it's not contagious." He commented.

"You could ask a doctor about it?" I suggested, though it ended up coming out more like a question.

"Too bad that nanodoctors don't exist." Odd said glumly.

"Nanodoctors..." Jeremy trailed off in thought. "Now I understand" He ran off out of the room as soon as an idea hit him. I the found myself trailing behind Odd and Yumi as they themselves followed Jeremy. He led us to a tall building more towards the front of what looked like a school campus. We ran up some steps and burst into a classroom where a woman was passed out against her desk. Yumi and Odd gasped and ran over to the woman. While Jeremy seemed slightly distressed, he focused his attention on a blue gel that was on the desk. I stood by the door and shuffled my feet awkwardly.

"Ms. Hertz!" Yumi called out. She shook her shoulders, causing her to wake up. She let out a groan as she sat up.

"Where am I?" She croaked out.

"You'll be alright." Yumi assured her. I looked over at Jeremy as he put something under what appeared to be a microscope.

"Look at this." He said, calling the attention of the others to a TV screen. I took a few mores steps into the room to get a better look.

"It's the gelatin from this morning." Odd commented. A picture of a bug with a strange bullseye like symbol appeared as Jeremy focused in on the picture. "What are those ugly creatures?" Odd then asked with a cringe.

"What I was afraid of. They're nanoviruses, and XANA must've created them to attack memory cells." Jeremy explained.

"Attack memory cells..." I muttered, the looked up at the others. "Is that what happened to me? Did I catch this, well, bug?" Jeremy gave me an impressed look.

"For someone who has amnesia, you catch on fast." Was all he said. I gave him a faint smile at the compliment, or that's what I took it as, at least.

"But this means that it is contagious!" Yumi then realized.

Jeremy nodded at the realization. "Like all viruses, you can from food, contact, sneezing. Soon the whole school will be infected, including us."

Odd stared at the screen with wide eyes. "A world without memory." He breathed out, seeming to be terrified at the thought.

"And under XANA's control!" Yumi exclaimed.

"Let's go to the factory fast! Aelita must be in danger on Lyoko." Jeremy stated, already heading for the door. I stared at the symbol for a moment, then followed behind him and Yumi.

"And Ulrich! We're gonna need him!" Odd suddenly pointed out, though Yumi shook her head.

"No, Odd, its Ulrich who needs our help. He and Emily will only get well if we can deactivate the tower." Yumi said. I scratched the back of my head at the mention of me.

"Yumi's right." Jeremy said in agreement. "Besides, if he can't remember anything he won't be much good to us." Odd gave an understanding nod, and with that we were off once more. I trailed behind them so I could watch where they were going. They gasped as we passed by two younger looking girls who looked dazed and confused.

"Not a moment to lose!" Yumi urged, and we picked up the pace. We stopped in front of a manhole cover in the forest. Odd bent down and moved it to allow access into the sewers. I gave the other a perplexed expression, but the most of an answer I got was, "Just go with it."

I then followed them on a scooter the claimed was mine to the other side of the tunnel. We then climbed up a ladder and found ourselves in front of a dingy looking factory. They ran in, and I followed. They entered an elevator on the main floor and sent it down. It opened to a room that was made up entirely of metal. It had a blue tint to it due to a holographic map in the center. Jeremy exited the elevator and went to go sit down in a chair in front of the computer.

"Hey, Einstein, what do we do about her?" Odd asked, jabbing a thumb in my direction. Jeremy paused his typing for a moment before he answered.

"She already here. She may as well go with you." He said. Odd nodded and hit the elevator button.

"Go? Go where?" I asked with a confused tone.

"You'll see." Od assured me.

"Ok, ready for the north pole?" Jeremy asked. His voice startled me and made me jump. I looked around in search for the source, though when I saw Odd and Yumi exit the elevator I quickly ended my endeavor. I gave them yet another confused look.

"What do I-"

"Enter that tube there." Yumi quickly answered, pointing at what, indeed, looked like an empty tube. I nodded and hurried inside of it.

"10 seconds seconds to transfer time." Jeremy told us. The seconds seemed to feel like minutes as I waited for something to happen. I gasped when the doors closed around me. Once again, I heard Jeremy's voice ring out around me, "Transfer, Odd. Transfer, Yumi. Transfer, Emily. Scanner, Odd. Scanner, Yumi. Scanner, Emily. VIRTUALIZATION!

Lyoko

I 'landed' with a thud onto the ground. The ground was a strange light blue and we were surrounded by waterfalls.

"Ouch." I let out, then looked around. Yumi and Odd had changed into silly looking costumes. Looking down at myself, I discovered that I was no different, and was wearing a cloak over a white outfit. A golden staff was clipped at my side. "Um..." Was all I could let out before Jeremy said,

"Take the access on your right."

"Right boss." Odd responded, and quickly began following his instructions. Without wasting another minute, I began running behind them, hoping they'd explain what was going on. "Watch out!" Odd suddenly shouted, and leaped out of the way of a laser. The source of the laser was... A giant crab? What? Yumi, who was in front of me, was hit squarely in the arm by another laser. I stopped in the passageway, unsure of what to do.

"Yumi! You just lost 20 life points!" Jeremy shouted. Yumi stood up, still clutching her arm, and ran as fast as she could. The giant shellfish followed her.

"Jeremy, we've got a welcoming committee." Odd said, his voice filled with dread.

"Don't panic! There's just one Krab!" Jeremy reported. "But it means the activated tower can't be far. I'll warn Aelita!"

"Jeremy, what exactly am I supposed to do?" I then shouted out.

"No need to shout, Emily." Odd told me. "You see that staff at your side? That's your weapon." I pulled out said staff. It suddenly crackled with energy as a memory hit me like a truck. Two words just suddenly rang out in my head.

Almost without thinking I shouted, "Magic Blast!" And aimed the tip of my staff towards the Krab. I missed, but I still bow knew what to do. The Krab ignored my attempt to kill it and instead focused on Yumi, who was hiding behind a rock.

"He's coming towards you, Yumi!" Jeremy warned.

"Don't worry, he just wants to play hide and seek. Playful little beast." She quipped, a smirk adorning her face.

Lab

As Jeremy typed on his computer, he heard a sound he wasn't expecting to hear: the sound of the elevator opening. Looking over the tall monitor of the computer, he saw the amnesiac Ulrich standing in the elevator, gaping at the entirety of the lab.

"Ulrich!" He called out, gaining the brunettes attention. Ulrich walked over to him with a confused expression on his face, not that unlike the one Emily had been making all day.

"What am I doing here? What kind of place is this?" He questioned.

"I can't tell you now. We've got an emergency," Jeremy told him. He was about to turn his attention back to the computer, though Ulrich was more persistent than he thought he would have been, considering his state.

"Look, I can't remember anything, but I know I have something important to do here. Tell me what it is." Ulrich requested. Jeremy tapped his chin in thought for a moment.

"Well uh... Sure, why not?" He decided. "Once you're on Lyoko, you'll have to do something, amnesia or not."

"What's Lyoko?" Ulrich asked, once again confused.

"It's uh... Look, see that pillar behind you?" Ulrich looked in the direction he was pointing and nodded. "You've gotta slide up one level. You'll see a few scanners. Get into one of them, and just wait." Ulrich raised an eyebrow at him. "You'll get all the answers you want there." Ulrich made another confused face, then turned and walked towards the ladder that led to the scanner room.

Lyoko

Yumi slid to the other side of the rock and made a face at the Krab. "Yoo-hoo," She let out, then slid over to the other side at the monster approached. The Krab fired, but missed. As it walked over to the back, she once again stealthily slid away to the other side of the rock. "Over here!" She then climbed on top of the rock as the giant crustacean searched for her. Her face darkened as she yelled, "Hey crabby!" Then, before the Krab could even lock onto her, she let her fan fly and cut theough the beast, killing it and made it explode.

"Target, hit!" Jeremy exclaimed proudly.

"Whoa!" I exclaimed, taking a step back from the remains of the Krab, which quickly flickered away. I then grinned as I looked over at Yumi. "That was AWESOME!" I complimented. She nodded in acknowledgement as she tucked her fan away.

"Nice going, Yumi." Odd said as he ran over to us.

"Two things guys: One, Aelita is waiting on the other side of the glacier." Jeremy informed us.

"And two?"

"Two: Ulrich's on the way." Yumi and Odd looked at one another in surprise.

"Ulrich?" Odd questioned. "I'll wait for him here." He told us. Yumi then grabbed my hand and we started running off towards another path.

"Better hurry." She told him. She soon let go of my worst as we exited the cave and ran on the actual path. In the distance, we could see a girl with elf ears and pink hair. Yumi smiled as we approached her. "Hello, Aelita!" She greeted.

"I've found the activated tower. We're almost there.' She told us and began running alongside us. She pointed ahead at a white tower that had a red glow around it.

"Lead the way." Yumi said, now following behind her. We continued along in silence as we approached the tower, but there was a growing feeling of uneasiness in my stomach that just wouldn't go away.

"We're almost there!" Aelita called out.

"Yeah, seems almost too easy." Yumi noted, which I nodded at. "I've got a funny feeling about this." Her suspicions were proven correct when some more Krabs were materialized around us. "Oh I'm sick of always being right." Yumi then groaned. Three more Krabs approached us from behind. I gripped my staff tightly as I looked around.

"There's five against two." I said nervously.

"Well, it's better than six or seven." Yumi tried to sound encouraging. I'm not entirely if it worked or not.

"Hang in there, girls. I'll try to send you reinforcements." Jeremy boomed. Aelita looked over at the three behind us.

"First, lets get rid of three of them." Before I could even ask what she was going to to, she began singing, which in turn created a wall of ice behind us. The three Krabs approached it at a fast pace and began shooting at it. "Hurry! It's not going to hold for long!" I looked up at the wall of ice, then down at my staff.

"Hm... I wonder if I could..." Without another word I raised my staff and began drawing a picture in the air. Yumi caught her fan as it bounced off of the Krab and looked over at me.

"Emily? What are you doing?" She asked, then blocked a few more lasers.

"Honestly? I have no idea." I stopped and pulled my staff back, revealing a rather crude sword made of ice. While she was looking in my direction, however, Yumi was his by a well aimed laser. A Krab aimed one at me, though I managed to block it with my icy weapon. "...Cool!" I exclaimed, then got shot by another laser. Yumi was hit again as well.

"Again?" Jeremy questioned. "Ladies, be careful. Neither of you have many life points left." I growled at one of the Krabs, the one that had shot me to be exact. I ran up to it and sliced its two front legs with my sword, then raised my staff at its mark, and shouted,

"Ice shard!" The sword melted in my hand, but a spike of ice shot out and hit the Krab dead on, killing it.

"Nice job, Emily." Jeremy congratulated me. I grinned.

"I think I'm startin' to get the hang of this whole thing." Yumi looked over at the other monster on our side.

"One to go." She said. Aelita gave the wall a wary look as the other three Krabs continued to bombard the wall.

"Hurry! The wall's not gonna last!" She said.

In the distance, I could see Odd pinned to the ground by a samurai with brown hair. They seemed to be having a conversation, though it ended when Odd stood up and pointed in out direction. They then both ran over to confront the three other Krabs. I was hit again due to me being distracted.

"Emily! If you take another hit like that you'll end up back here a lot sooner than you planned!" I was about to say ok, though then I realized how confusing his statement was.

"Back there? You mean the real world? How does that happen?" I asked. I was snapped back to the battle at hand when the wall Aelita had created finally shattered.

"Fight now, ask questions later!" Jeremy ordered.

"Gotcha!" I ran up in front of Aelita to attempt to kill the Krab aiming for her, though it was then interrupted by the samurai jumping on top of it and attempting to stab it in its eye. The Krab tilted forward, making him lose his footing and fall forward onto the ground. He jumped back to avoid being struck by a shot. Odd then jumped into the air and fired a barrage of arrows of his hand, though none of them killed it.

"Ulrich!" Yumi then cried, looking back at the samurai. So that was who Ulrich was! Unfortunately, looking back was a mistake, as she was then hit and burst into a lot of pixels.

"What happened to her?" Ulrich asked as he deflected a laser.

"Nothing serious." Odd assured him. "We've gotta protect Aelita!" Ulrich looked over at her. She was backing away from a Krab that was slowly approaching her. She nearly fell die to the lack of ground behind her. He did rather impressive trick with his sword and said,

"I'll take care of it!" He then ran over to the Krab. I looked at the Krab closest to me and glared at it.

"C'mon! I'll take you on!" I shouted. I quickly rolled out of the way of a laser and did a somersault on the ground to underneath the Krab. I quickly flipped my staff over to the side with its blade, and shove it through the monsters underside. It worked, and I was soon protecting myself from the digital Krab pieces.

Over the mic I could hear Yumi saying, "It's good to see Ulrich and Emily with their memories back again."

"You're wrong. They both still have amnesia." Jeremy informed her. I then looked over and watched as Ulrich charged at the Krab with a battle cry. He sawed its back to legs off as he ran by, then stabbed it as it fell back towards him.

"Thanks for clearing the passage!" Aelita said gratefully, then ran over to then ran over to the tower. We gave each other confused looks.

"Huh? She's leaving?" He asked me. I opened my mouth to try and answer, but it ended up being a noise as I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Not exactly total recall." Jeremy commented. Odd then slid towards us after getting shot by a laser.

"Jeremy! I'm coming!" Ulrich shouted. Odd shook his head.

"No, I'm Odd!" Odd corrected him. He fired another arrow, which hit the eye after he arced his shot. There was another Krab that decided to join the fun while we hadn't been looking; we each took aim at it.

Suddenly, we all flipped into the air and hit it some how. Odd fired an arrow, Ulrich stabbed it, and I fired a Magic Blast at it. It exploded immediately after.

"Great guys! You're one heck of a team!" Jeremy beamed. I grinned happily hearing that. Ulrich then looked around, seeming to be disappointed.

"Is that is? Are there no other players?"

"No, we can go home. The game's over." Odd answer.

"Wait, this was a game?" I questioned. "I thought you said something about a virus?"

"Its gone now. Don't worry about it." Odd assured me. "Soon you'll understand everything again."

"But how?"

"Magic. Watch." I looked down at my staff in confusion. Suddenly, a bright light engulfed us all.

Science Class

We returned to science class once more, though now my memory was once again intact. I remembered everything again, who I was, what Lyoko and XANA were, everything. I had to keep myself from grinning at the fact that I now had a new elemental magic at my disposal too.

"Exactly." Ms. Hertz said once again. "In the medical field, for example, scientists are developing nanodoctors, tiny machines which will be able to travel through our bodies to combat disease. Scientific research, however, still has a long way to go."

"Are these robots capable of fighting pimples, cellulite, and things like that?" Do I really have to tell you who said this. The whole class laughed, Ms. Hertz included.

"Yes they can, but the priority is for more illnesses."

"And nano technology can't do a things about stupidity. Poor Sissi, what a shame." Odd joked. Once again, it got a small chuckle and eye roll out of me.

"Alright, now quiet down!" Ms. Hertz said, catching our attentions once more. "This nanosphere is used to make microscopic devices. Strange. It hasn't been cleaned properly. There's gelatin inside."

"Looks like the greasy stuff Odd puts on his hair every day." Ulrich commented with a chuckle.

"Since you think you're clever Ulrich, why don't you take a sample for us." Ulrich nodded at Ms. Hertz request and once again stuck the stick in the gel. "It's used as a culture where nanodevices can develop." Ulrich looked at it closely, though was careful not to get it close to his face this time (though I'm pretty sure he still would've been fine, considering we deactivated the tower.)

"Anyway, it looks an awful lot like jam." He eyed a burner on the table. "Lets try to cook it. You never can tell."

I let out a slightly surprised laugh as other gasped and looked at Jeremy. I mouthed a, "What!?" to him. Odd just had an excited look on his face.

As soon as he held the gel over the burner, it melted.

"Ulrich!" Ms. Hertz shouted at him. "What do you think you're doing!" Ulrich put on a smirk and dropped the tongs, which were now half melted. "How dare you destroy school equipment!
