And now we move onto Frontier, an episode I really like. While I don't really engage in shipping, I do admit that Jerlita is adorable.

Chapter 22: Frontier

I found Ulrich, Odd, and Jeremy all sitting at the vending machines. "Morning guys." I waved at them. Ulrich and I yawned at the same time, then we looked at each other and laughed. "Alright, what'd you stay up doing?" He pulled out what appeared to be a GBA SP from his pocket.

"Tetrix Annihilator." He answered. "You?"

"Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D." I said. "What is Tetrix? Another Tetris knockoff?"

"Pretty much, but its just as good as the real thing, and it's cheaper too!" Odd told me.

"Fair enough." I said with a shrug. Looking over at Jeremy, he was staring into his cup looking rather upset about something. He was also being rather quiet and appeared deep in thought. I was going to ask, but I then noticed Yumi approaching us, so I turned to face her.

"Hi guys." She greeted. Ulrich waved as he was rubbing one of his eyes, making Yumi laugh. "Well it looks like I'm not the only one who'd rather have slept late. What were you doing? Studying?"

Ulrich once again motioned to his Gameboy. "Not exactly. Tetrix Annihilator till three in the morning." There was a large smile plain on his face. He had no regrets.

"I should've guessed it was something like that. Nice going." Yumi said with a laugh.

"Thanks. How'd you know I won?"

"And in my case, I stayed up till maybe 2:30 trying to beat the third temple in Majora's Mask. Lemme tell you, I'm terrible at it!"

"Hey, if you could beat the Water Temple with no problems your first time through, you should be fine there." Odd told me. I laughed humorlessly.

"Funnily enough, I'm having trouble on the Great Bay Temple, which also involves water."

Yumi looked over at Jeremy, who hadn't said a word all morning. "How are you, Jeremy?"

"Me?" He questioned. "I couldn't sleep even wink. I've got a lot on my mind."

"The usual worries about materializing Aelita?" I asked curiously, putting my Zelda related woes aside for a bit.

Jeremy turned his face away from our gazes. "No no, well, yes actually. But there's a lot more to it than that..." He answered cryptically. We all looked at one another, not quite sure what he could be referring to. I opened my mouth to ask him, but the bell cut me off before I could get a word out. Jeremy, now getting a sudden burst of energy, reached for his bag and threw his cup away. "I'm off! Nothing like a little math class to wake me up!" His enthusiasm seemed false. We all gave each other a worried look as he ran ahead of us.

Math Class

I was sitting next to Jeremy, who again seemed rather out of it. He hadn't been listening to Ms. Meyer at all (not that I can blame him considering that it's math). Ulrich was sitting at a table with Odd near us.

After a long while, Ulrich finally stepped up and asked, "Hey, Jeremy!" said genius glanced over at him. "What's going on with Aelita?"

"Well... last night, we uh... we had a bit of a fight." He reluctantly admitted.

"Yeah? About what?" Ulrich asked. Jeremy shook his head.

"Nothing." His face turned fell into a grimace. "It was all on an account of me. I yelled at her, and I think she got mad." He looked away from us for a few moments, the raised his head back up. "Ulrich, I really have to go."

Ulrich and I both gave him an confused expression. "Where to? The boys room?"

"Of course not!" He paused for a moment. "To Lyoko." He swiftly said. My eyes widened. Jeremy? On Lyoko?!

Ulrich couldn't believe it either. He yelled out "What!?" Unfortunately, he yelled a little too loud, and Ms. Meyer had heard him.

She turned away from the blackboard and gave an annoyed look at the back of the room, directed at Ulrich in particular. "Ulrich! Repeat what I just said!" he ordered him.

"Uh..." Was all Ulrich could say, as he hadn't been paying attention. Ms. Meyer turned her gaze to Odd.

"Odd, go on. Help him." Unfortunately, Odd was snoring away on his desk. Several people in class began laughing, and I would be lying if I said I didn't snicker at him. Ms. Meyer sighed, then turned to continue her lesson. Jeremy and I turned to face the front again, though throughout the entire class Jeremy's mind was elsewhere.

After Class

We had sought Yumi out after class and met under the arches to discuss Jeremys idea.

"What?! No way!" Yumi exclaimed in complete shock. Jeremy gave her a pleading look, despite the fact that she wasn't facing us.

"Not for very long! Just for an hour!" Jeremy begged. "I could go during lunchtime."

"But that's not the problem, Jeremy." Yumi said, shaking her head. "The problem is the supercalculator. You're the only one who can use it!" She pointed out.

"Yeah, but one you get the idea it's not complicated." Jeremy argued, "I can launch a simplified transfer program and explain the procedures to you!" Yumi still wasn't convinced though.

"It doesn't feel right. I'm sorry, Jeremy." She apologized, but was firm in her stance. Jeremy let out an exasperated sigh, but he wasn't giving up yet. I'll give him credit, Jeremy is a very persistent fellow.

"Yumi, listen. I had an argument with Aelita and I want to ask her to forgive me in person." Jeremy explained. Yumi looked up into the sky as a plane flew by.

"What if XANA attacks while you're there?" She then asked. Odd shrugged his shoulders at the thought.

"Then we just have to bring him back immediately and take his place on Lyoko." He said nonchalantly.

I put a hand on my chin in thought. "And as of late, XANA has been pretty quiet." I thought aloud. He hadn't activated a tower for several days now, which while I certainly wasn't complaining, was a tad bit strange. "We may as well use this time while we still have it."

Yumi looked away from us again, letting out a hum as she did so. "Fine. We'll go at lunch." She finally said. Jeremy gave her a smile.

Lab

Just as was planned, we all headed to the factory during lunch. I was sitting in the lab with Jeremy and Yumi. Jeremy was telling Yumi how to operate the supercomputer, and I personally didn't envy her.

"Now, I've already calculated the variable virtual mass, so you don't have to worry. Since I won't be fighting, I used the default option for the exponential memory transfer ok?" He explained. He gave a quick glance at Yumi, who appeared to be listening at watching the screen intently. "As for the fractal encoding for the blocks, piece of cake." I silently chuckled in my head as I shook it to avoid the incoming headache I felt.

Yumi gave him a look of disbelief. "Piece of cake!? Hey, this may be easy for you, but it sure isn't for us! You do all this every time?!"

"Well, yeah." Jeremy answered, giving her a slightly surprised look. "What do you think? That I take a nap while you're all on Lyoko?"

"Well, considering how much you yell at us when we're there, not really." I answered, not looking up from my game. I could practically feel the glare he was giving me as he pulled a book out of his bag.

"And maybe next time I won't warn you about the incoming monsters, how about that, huh?" He gave me a smug look as he spoke. I rolled my eyes in response.

"You love Aelita too much to do that Einstein." I reminded him. He blushed as he turned away from me.

"A-anyway, we'll stay in contact." Jeremy continued, ignoring my snickering. "And if you have any trouble, just check my notes," he then handed her the thick book, which was full of sticky notes in it. Yumi's eyes widened as she looked at the book with bewilderment. Jeremy then turned and went into the elevator. Yumi gave me a look that basically said, 'Help me.'

"You'll do fine, Yumi." I assured her, now actually looking up from my screen.

She nodded and took in a deep breath, then exhaled as she opened Jeremy's notes. After a few seconds of typing, she said, "Ok, I'm starting the transfer now... Go!" She hit a key. I watched as a silhouette of Jeremy on screen was filled up. I was startled when the computer began beeping, and stood up and ran over to Yumis side. She let out a gasp of horror when she realized what happened: she had done something wrong, and we had no idea what the her mistake did.

Looking over to where the ladder was, I saw Ulrich climbing out of it with a panicked look on his face. "What happened! The scanner made a noise it shouldn't have!" He reported to us. I bit my lip and looked at the screen.

"Aelita!" I called out. She was our best bet at the point. "Aelita, we have an emergency!" Her face suddenly appeared on screen.

"Yes? What's wrong? I don't feel any pulsations."

"Jeremy decided to try and go to Lyoko, for... well, reasons that he can explain later, but well..." I trailed off and looked at Yumi.

"I think I did something wrong!" Yumi blurted out, tears now forming in her eyes. Aelita gave us a surprised expression.

"Is he not with you?" She asked. When she saw us shake our heads, she let out a hum. "Ok, give me a minute. I think I can figure out what happened." Her face disappeared. Odd then approached us with a concerned expression.

"Do we know what happened?"

"No. Aelita is trying to find out right now." Ulrich answered. We waited in silence for her to return, Ulrich doing his best to comfort Yumi.

Aelita appeared on the screen once more, catching all of our attentions. "I just scanned the data chain. Yumi made a data capture error that blocked the system." While none of us knew quite what that meant, we could all tell it wasn't good. "Which means that the memory used for transfers was deactivated at the worst time."

We all gave anxious look at one another. "So where is he then?" I asked, which is what we all wanted to know.

"He wasn't transferred to Lyoko, and he didn't come back to you, and so he's..." She paused, trying to think of the right words. "He's out there, and blocked somewhere between us."

"Just great..." I heard Ulrich utter under his breath.

"Don't worry! He's ok!" Aelita suddenly exclaimed. We gave her astonished looks.

"A-are you in contact with him!?" Ulrich asked. The air of the room was slowly becoming more hopeful, something that I greatly appreciated.

"Yes... Well, let's say I think what he thinks." Aelita quickly corrected herself. "It's as if he were a part of my mind." There were several noises of interest made.

"And... can we get him back?" Yumi finally asked. The pink elf gave us a smile and nodded.

"Yes. Jeremy says that we have to recover memory in the four passage towers, and redirect it to the three scanners to complete the transfer." She explained. "But it's going to take time."

"Well, that's a hopeful sign. How much time?" I asked.

"The time to go to each one of the regions and do the necessary manipulations and reinitialize the system, according to Jeremy, one of your afternoons."

"Then that means there's no time to lose!" Ulrich decided. Aelita nodded.

"Ok, then I'm off." She disappeared from the screen as she made her way to the first tower.

"Thank you, Aelita." Yumi whispered. We watched as she ran down the path on Lyoko via the map.

"Look Yumi, it wasn't your fault." Ulrich comforted her.

"He's right. After all, Jeremy is the only one can use the computer without something going wrong." I added in agreement.

"Yes, I know." Yumi sighed. "The big problem is that as long as Jeremy's in limbo, we can't go to Lyoko. And if XANA attacks..." She shut her eyes as she thought about the disastrous outcome.

"Don't sweat it Yumi! Aelita's going to Jeremy home soon. I'm positive!" Odd said in an upbeat voice.

I nodded my head. "Yeah, and XANA won't even have time to do anything!" I affirmed. Yumi let out an unconvinced hum, but said nothing on the matter.

"You three'd better get back to school." Is what she said to us instead. "If we're all absent the teachers will start to get suspicious. I'll stay here just in case." I gave her a thumbs up.

"Alright. We'll see you later." The three of us then entered the elevator and hit the button. I gave a grimace to the boys as the elevator began moving up. "Do you really think XANA won't take advantage of this moment?" I asked.

"I hope not, Emily. I really hope not." Ulrich said.

Science Class

The trek back to Kadic was uneventful, which I tried to take as a positive sign. XANA still hadn't activated a tower. The three of us walked into Ms. Hertz' class and took our usual seats. However, due to the absence of Jeremy, I was alone behind Ulrich and Odd. I pulled my phone out for a quick peek to check if Yumi had any updates. When I saw nothing, I put it back into my pocket.

Soon enough, the last few students trickled in and the bell rang to begin class. Ms. Hertz began going down her attendance sheet to take roll.

"Herb?"

"Present."

"Valerie?"

"Here!"

"Jeremy?" She looked up when no one answered. "Jeremy isn't here?"

"Uh, he's uh..." Odd stuttered. Ms. Hertz glared at him. "He's uh, in the infirmary ma'am! Trying to get, uh, unblocked?" Odd said, the last statement coming out like more of a question. I sighed and shook my head as Ulrich and Odd grinned nervously.

Luckily for us, she bought it. "Not surprising. You children eat much too quickly," she said, putting her sheet away. "Now for chemistry..."

"How in God's name did that excuse work?" I asked with a baffled expression on my face. Odd just have me a sheepish grin and shrugged.

"What no good are you three creeps up to now?" Sissi asked as she turned to face us. Evidently, she saw through the lie. I opened my mouth to give a witty remark, but Ulrich beat me to the punch.

"None of your business," Ulrich insisted.

"Well with that kind of an answer now I'm sure you're up to no good," Sissi said in a condescending tone.

"Can't fool you, Sissi," Odd said. "Well actually, Jeremy's working on a project to make worms intelligent."

"Oh?"

"That's right! And he'd like to test it on you!" I then said, making the three of us grin. Sissi gave us a shocked and offended look before turning away. We couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Alright, settle down now," Ms. Hertz said, sending the three of us an agitated look.

After Class

"Did either of you understand any of what she was spouting off about?" I asked as we exited the class. I grimaced when they both shook their heads. "Gee, thanks a lot," I muttered sarcastically.

"You're asking the wrong people when it comes to this stuff, Emily." Ulrich told me.

"Yeah, you should ask Jeremy when he gets back," Odd told me.

"Speaking of Jeremy, I wonder how they're doing over there." I said, taking another quick peek at my phone in hopes of an update.

"Well, how about we go find out?" Odd suggested.

"Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the whole point of us going back to class was to not draw suspicion to our selves?" I asked.

"Yeah, but we don't have a class next. We're supposed to be in the library." Odd reminded me.

"Are we?" I asked, to which Ulrich and Odd both nodded at. "Damn, this whole thing with Jeremy's got me all messed up today." I shook my head. "Alright then! Onwards!" I exclaimed before running ahead of the boys towards the forest.

"No fair! You got a head start!" Ulrich whined. I laughed.

"Says the fastest of us all." I countered. As we drew closer to the manhole, he started pulling ahead of me. "See! My point exactly!" He stuck his tongue out at me as we halted.

"The coast looks clear," Odd reported, then Ulrich opened the cover.

Soon enough, we reached the elevator and went down into the lab. We all ran at to Yumi as the door opened.

"How you doing, Yumi? Let me see," Ulrich said.

"How's it going?" Odd asked, looking at the screen.

"Aelita just left the second tower. Two more to go," Yumi reported, then closed her eyes. "Things are almost going too well."

"Hey, don't talk like that! You say stuff like that and then bad things a start happening!" I told her as an attempt to stay positive.

"I'm heading for the forest." Aelita reported, then we watched as she moved on the holomap.

Ulrich nodded. "Hey Yumi, you oughta relax a little bit. Aelita will be finished soon." Ulrich began, catching the Japanese girls attention. "Why don't you go back to school? It'll take your mind off it."

"Yeah, we'll take over for you!" Odd assured her.

"We aren't missing class right now. We're supposed to be studying in the library," I quickly added, seeing her unsure face.

She was silent for a moment, then sighed. "Ok," she decided, then stood up and grabbed her bag. I quickly slid into the metal seat to take her place. "I'll see you guys later.

I looked at Ulrich and Odd for a moment, then picked up Jeremy's earpiece and put it on my ear. "Aelita? It's Emily. Ulrich, Odd, and I are replacing Yumi. Do you read me?"

"Yes, loud and clear, Emily. I'm almost at the tower." Aelita said. I tapped my fingers on the armrest of the chair as I watched her run down a path of the forest sector. "It's weird watching it from here and not being part of the action," I thought.

"Is Jeremy ok?" Ulrich asked, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"A little worried, but yeah. He's ok." Aelita responded. "Uh oh, trouble..." She then said, stopping as a monster appeared in front of her. She suddenly jumped over to the side and rolled behind a tree, likely dodging a laser.

I gulped. "Guys, we've got a problem!" I exclaimed, catching their attention. They ran back up to the computer to see what was going on. More red dots appeared on the screen and began approaching Aelita's location. "Aelita, you gotta find a way out of there and fast. There are more monsters heading your way!" I informed her, gripping the mic as I spoke.

She began running once more. The monsters quickly gave chase after her. I griped the armrest tightly as I saw more monsters appear. "Careful! There's more in front of you!" I warned her. She stopped, but there was nowhere else to go! She was completely surrounded! "Uh..." I stuttered, not knowing what to do. Then I saw something I hadn't before on the map. "Aelita! Platform! Left!" I shouted. She quickly jumped over to it, managing to dodge all the lasers. I relaxed my grip on the chair as she ran close to the tower. "Well done Aelita. Jeremy would be proud of you." I said, then let out a breath of relief. "God, how does Jeremy DO this?!" I asked, turning the chair to the boys.

Ulrich shrugged. "Probably because he has to."

"I get that. But I feel so helpless being unable to help on Lyoko." I admitted, once again gripping the arm rest.

"Hey, look on the bright side. That's three towers down. Only one more to go." Odd said.

I let out a small smile. "Yeah, that's true. Should we tell Yumi?"

"No. Let's leave poor Yumi alone." Ulrich decided. "We haven't needed her help up till now."

"Alright, fair enough." I said, then turned the chair around again to face the monitor. I watched as Aelita exited another tower.

"I'm in the mountain region. Just one more tower to go." She said.

"Hang in there, Einstein. We'll bring you home soon." I muttered. There was a silence in the lab for the next few minutes, excluding the noises made by the computer of course. Aelita then began to slow down, something not missed by the three of us.

"Why is she stopping?" Odd asked. She was a good distance away from the tower.

"Emily, I'm at the tower but it's being guarded by two Bloks. XANA's gotten the message." Aelita said, making me frown.

'Well, at least we went this far without his interference..." I said, slightly upset by the development. "Is there no way you can get through?"

"No, none. And if I can't transfer the memory from the tower then we lose Jeremy for good!" Aelita said with a worried expression on her face.

"There's gotta be a way Aelita!" Ulrich exclaimed.

"Wait! Jeremy says that there may be a way of retrieving memory elsewhere!" Aelita suddenly said, regaining her hopeful expression.

"Where? Another tower? Another computer?" I asked.

Aelita shook her head at this. "Another tower's impossible, and Jeremy's convinced that an external power wouldn't be enough to operate the three scanners."

"Great..." I groaned.

Ulrich, however, had another idea in mind. "What about one?" he asked.

"Just one scanner? I'll check with him," Aelita said, disappearing from the screen. Odd and I gave the brunette a confused look.

"But why only one? To bring Jeremy back, all three scanners are needed." Odd pointed out.

"Unless you have another idea in mind?" I asked, resting my head against my hand.

"Think about it guys! If one of us can succeed in getting transferred to Lyoko, Aelita will be able to get into the tower!" Ulrich explained. I nodded at the idea.

"Emily! Odd! Ulrich! I've got a problem! It's becoming harder and harder to contact Jeremy!" Aelita exclaimed. The three of us looked at one another with grim expressions on our faces. "I'm afraid he's starting to delete himself."

"Huh?! What does that mean?!"

"He's disappearing! The computer is confusing him with an outdated file. We've got to bring him back as soon as possible!"

Ulrich let out a sigh. "Alright. We have no choice. I'll call Yumi." He pulled out his phone. "Yumi? It's Ulrich." He paused as he listened to her responsive, "It was going alright, but XANA's gotten the idea. He guarding the last tower in the mountain sector with two Bloks." another pause. "Yeah. Look, we need you to grab Jeremy's computer. I've got an idea that just may work." He slipped his phone back into his pocket and nodded at the two of us.

"Alright, now we just have to play the waiting game." I said.

We sat in silence for another good while. Odd had pulled out his Gameboy and began playing Tetrix. Ulrich eventually let out another impatient sigh. "I wish she would hurry up..." He said, tapping his foot as he looked towards the elevator. Finally, he pulled his phone out again and called Yumi once more. "What's taking you so lon-" He stopped as he was interrupted by whatever Yumi said. "WHAT?!" He lowered his phone from his ear. "Yumi got caught. She's in the principals office and she's got the computer with her."

"Oh great, just what we needed." I groaned, rubbing my temples.

"Oh we're done for now!" Odd said, walking towards the computer again. "There's nothing we can do now!"

Ulrich tapped a finger against his chin. "Unless..." He suddenly began walking towards the elevator.

"Ulrich? Where are you going?" I asked.

"I've got an idea" Was all he told me before the door closed. I gave Odd a confused look.

"Don't look at me," He said with a shrug. "I know just as much as you do,"

Kadic

Ulrich rubbed his neck nervously as Sissi folded her arms at him. "Listen Sissi, I really need your help this time." When her expression didn't change, he tried giving her a nervous grin.

"Well well, what do you know?" Sissi said, making Nicholas and Herb laugh.

Ulrich let out a sigh. He wasn't in the mood for this. "I'm serious Sissi! Come on!" He grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the others, a motion that took her by surprise. He gave her a quick summary of what happened, with a few details changed of course.

Sissi was not impressed. "What!? You must be out of your mind! The only way I would do something like that is if you promise to be a little more cool with me!" Sissi yelled at him. Ulrich could hear Nicholas and Herb laughing off to the side. "And when I say a little, it mans...well,, y'know..." She trailed off.

"Ok, look. I'll go out with you... I'll go out with you for a week! How about that?" He offered.

"A week!?" Sissi turned towards him with a miffed look. "To help Yumi the price is two months minimum!"

"One month and a down payment." Ulrich said, giving his final offer.

"What kind of down payment?" Sissi asked, giving him a interested look. Before anything else was said, Ulrich put a hand on her waist, leaned forward, and kissed her on the lips.

Office

Yumi was pushed out of the office by Mr. Delmas and handed the computer. "Behave yourself. I won't warn you again!" The door slammed behind her, leaving her giving a completely baffled look to Ulrich.

"You're gonna have to explain to me how you did that." She said.

Ulrich turned his gaze towards the floor. "I don't wanna talk about it..." He looked up at her again with an uncomfortable look on his face. "Yumi, um... you mind if we don't see a lot of each other for like... a month?" He cringed when he saw Yumi's unhappy look.

With an answer like that, she was positive she wasn't going to like whatever it was.

Lab

Odd and I had been sitting in the lab the entire time, making small conversation as we waited for Ulrich to return. Suddenly, the Bloks started moving.

"Aelita! Watch out!" I exclaimed, once again returning my attention to the computer screen. She jumped over a gap in the rocks, but the Bloks managed to leap just as well and continued to give chase. She leaped over another in the path, however she stopped moving after that, likely due to tripping. One of the Bloks tried to follow, however it fell into the Digital Sea bellow.

"One down. The others are coming, so hang in there Aelita!" Odd said.

"If that's all you can think of to say then don't say anything." Yumi said to Ulrich as the elevator door opened. Yumi was giving the brunette a rather upset look. "For the time being, I've got a computer to connect, so save it!" She walked out of the elevator, leaving Ulrich to simmer in his own anger.

"How's Aelita doing?" Ulrich then asked, walking over to us. He seemed to be shifting his attention onto Yumi every so often, but if she noticed she would glare and he would look away.

"Pretty good considering the circumstances." I reported. "Luckily she runs faster than me." I joked.

"The big problem though, is that she's losing contact with Jeremy!" Odd informed him, making Ulrich sigh to what seemed like the umpteenth time that day.

"I'll head for the scanners." He decided, then ran over to the ladder to head down.

Yumi then stood upright. "Alright, all we can do now is hope." She said. I hopped out of the chair and stretched.

Looking over at her I said, "Hey? Wanna try this whole virtualization thing again?" I asked. Hearing my words she gave me a worried look.

"I-I'm not sure that's a good idea. I mean, given what happened to Jeremy-"

"That was a one time mistake. Besides, you're the only one here that even has a vague idea of how to initiate the process." I reminded her. She bit her lip, then finally nodded her head.

"Alright. I'll give it a shot." She decided. She sat down in the chair and put the earpiece in. "Aelita, Ulrich's gonna try and reach you. The computer's connected. What do I do now?"

"You've got to configure the auxiliary port to transfer the memory. Here's how..." She began explaining the process, which seemed overly complicated to me. In no time Yumi had completed what she had been told. "Ok, Aelita, I did it. I've just entered all the data."

"Good, Yumi. You can transfer Ulrich now." She told her.

Yumi nodded and began typing again. "Transfer, Ulrich..." She hesitated in hitting the key.

"Well go on! Hurry up!" Odd encouraged.

"You can do it, Yumi!" I told her.

"Ulrich?" She asked, likely to make sure he was ok with it as well.

"Do it, Yumi!" I said, then added, "I have faith in you."

"Go!" Yumi finally hit the key to initiate the process. We all watched anxiously as the memory bar began to fill up,but it ultimately wasn't enough. The bar was just a little short to be able to send Ulrich. "Not enough memory! We came so close but it's just not enough!" Yumi exclaimed. "We need another 10 bytes"

Odd then began looking around in search of something to use. His eyes soon fell on his Gameboy and he grinned. He rushed over to it and plugged it in as well. "This should work just fine!"

"Aelita, watch out behind you!" Yumi suddenly cried as another Blok appeared. She typed quickly to once again start up the process. "Transfer, Ulrich. Scanner Ulrich." Aelita's Life Point count went down as she was hit in the chest. "Hurry up! VIRTUALIZATION!"

Ulrich landed as the other Blok had just managed to leap across the gap. He managed to protect Aelita and kill them both quickly, highlighted by how quickly they disappeared from the screen. I let out a sigh of relief.

"Ulrich!" Aelita said happily.

"Sorry I'm late, Aelita." He apologized, then asked, "Hey Odd? How'd you do it?"

"A lot of the credit should go to Tetrix Annihilator. Hope you weren't planning on playing it!" Odd said, then looked back at the game again. The screen had filled with static and we had to turn the volume down due to how it distorted the music.

"Don't worry. I've got enough to do here without playing other games." Ulrich assured him. "Ok, it's up to you now. Bring back Jeremy." He then told Aelita, who began running towards the tower again. She reached it quickly, and soon the bar filled up completely.

"Yeah! We did it!" I exclaimed, raising my fist into the air. We all rushed down to the scanner room to be there when Jeremy got back. Ulrich exited one of the scanner and joined us moments later. We heard the whirring of the scanner in front of us, and when it opened, it revealed a passed out Jeremy sitting in it.

"JEREMY!" We all exclaimed as we rushed towards him.

Jeremy's Dorm

We managed to get Jeremy back into his room without a problem. We placed him on his bed and waited for him to wake up. Several minutes passed, but he finally let out a groan and opened his eyes.

"How are you feeling?" Ulrich asked. Jeremy pulled himself off of the pillow we had placed for him and looked at the four of us.

"It was..." he began, then grinned at us. "It was FANTASTIC!" We all looked at each other and laughed and cheered.

"That's great!" I said with a smile plain on my face.

"Your crazy idea of going to Lyoko gave us a real scare," Yumi admitted.

"Look, I'm sorry, but I gotta go. I promised Sissi, " He said, giving us a sheepish look. Oh, so that's what he had to do to get Yumi out.

Odd rolled his eyes. "What are you? Her slave? With that down payment you gave her, she should leave you alone tonight," Ulrich made a nervous face as Jeremy, Yumi and I all made a confused sound.

"Down payment?" Yumi questioned, getting on her feet and giving him an annoyed look again. "What's this about a down payment, Ulrich?" Ulrich gave a stern look at Odd, who had began whistling innocently.

"Nothing!" Ulrich said a little to quickly. Jeremy and I looked at on another and shrugged. Yumi however, wanted answers. "Uh... See ya later!" Ulrich finally said, then ran out of the room as fast as he could. Yumi cried out in protest, but Ulrich just kept going.

She sighed. "Ugh. I'll see you guys tomorrow." She walked out of the room and shut the door.

I looked at the time. "I'd love to stick around too, but I'd rather not get any of us in trouble should Jim show up. Night guys,"

"Night," I walked out of the room and let out a chuckle. What a day it had been.

Guess what guys? It's October 9th when I'm putting this out.

If you don't know what that means, go look it up you Lyoko Warriors!

Anyways, I'm not COMPLETELY happy with how this came out, but eh. Not much I can do about it. Next time: The Robots!
