I can't believe it guys. It's taken me two years to get here, but we're finally getting to the end of season 1!

As a whole, season 1 is ok. It serves its purpose well enough, but seasons 2-4 are considerably better. Hopefully season 2 won't take as long, because that's my favorite season.

False Start is a decent enough finale. The Lyoko bits are a little boring, but the attack is neat.

Chapter 29: False Start

The next day at school, we were a group of five walking into history class. Me, Jeremy, Ulrich, Odd, and Aelita. Speaking of Aelita, it wasn't hard to tell that she was extremely nervous. Not that I could blame her though. I was her first time at school.

Jeremy seemed to notice her anxiety and gave her a reassuring smile. "Hey, relax Aelita. Don't worry; it's just a history class." He said.

"I'd feel a lot better if it were a class in computers. I don't know anything about history." Aelita whispered back to Jeremy.

"That's just it, you're here to learn. If it were a computer class, you could be a teacher." Ulrich joked with her.

"And hey, if it makes you feel any better, Odd doesn't know anything about history either." I said, making us all laugh. We all took our seats as the bell ran. Jeremy sat next to Aelita. Big surprise there, I know. I sat next to Ulrich, and Odd sat behind Ulrich and I.

Mr. Fumet looked at Aelita in surprise. "We have a new student in our class. I'll let her introduce herself." All eyes fell on Aelita, which did nothing to help ease herself in. She tried to find the right words to say, but she was too nervous, and ended up stuttering incoherently.

Noticing this, Odd saved the day. "Aelita is her name. And she's my cousin. She's very shy." Odd said, standing up. Aelita sent a grateful look Odd's way. Odd merely gave her a thumbs up in response.

Mr. Fumet seemed satisfied with that answer. "Well Aelita, let me welcome you to Kadic Junior High. We all hope you're going to like it here very much." I saw Aelita smile at that.

After Class

The five us went to sit down on our usual bench as we waited for Yumi to arrive. "You see? Everything's cool. There was no reason to worry." Jeremy said to Aelita. The lesson went off without incident. Aelita seemed to be able to grasp history well enough.

"Yeah, and if you ever need help in that class, Emily's the person to go to." Odd told her, jabbing his thumb in my direction. I scratched the back of my neck sheepishly.

"Really?" Aelita asked.

"Yeah. She's had an A all year!" Odd boasted. I looked down sheepishly.

"Hey, I'm not THAT good in that class." I said. "Anyways, how did you like history, Aelita?"

"I liked it, but you guys have to admit, you fight a lot here. There are wars all the time." She pointed out. The boys all gave nervous looks at one another. I folded my arms and shrugged.

"Well, she's not entirely wrong. Or maybe I'm just saying that because I lived in America." I muttered to myself. A subject change came in the form of Yumi arriving.

"Hey guys. How's our new earthling doing?" Yumi asked, a smile on her face.

"I'm fine. I'm trying to adapt to so many new sensations. The air that you breathe here, all the colors and the smells. But I'm fine." Aelita answered honestly. I smiled. She was so amazed by the most simple things to us, and I was a joy to see the looks on her face.

"It's about time we deactivated the supercomputer, don't you think?" Jeremy asked us, catching our attentions.

"Well, I wouldn't wait for XANA to send us an invitation." Ulrich said.

"And who feels like going back to Lyoko now that Aelita's here with us?" Odd pointed out.

Aelita closed her eyes. "You'll think this is silly but... It scares me a little. Lyoko, after all, was my home, and I'm not sure what affect destroying it might have for me." Yumi, Ulrich, Odd, and I all looked at each other when we heard that.

Jeremy didn't seem as concerned. Or maybe he was putting a brave face up for her sake, I'm not entirely sure. "There's nothing to worry about, I'm sure," Jeremy said consolingly. Holding her hand, he added, "Come on!"

Factory

When we swung down, it wasn't too hard to find Jim. Having nowhere else to go, Jim had decided he'd spend the night in the factory. He was still asleep on a cot that we'd set up with a few of his magazines strewn on his body.

"Hi, Jim!" Ulrich greeted. Jim woke up upon hearing that. He looked at us with surprise, then he seemed remember what was going on.

"Did you have a good sleep?" I asked.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. Great. And I really appreciate all you have done for me. But I was getting a little bored I have to admit." Jim said with a slight laugh.

"How'd you like to watch us deactivate XANA?" Odd asked. Jim grinned at the six of us.

"I wouldn't miss that for the world. Now, you haven't forgotten your promise, right Jeremy?" Jim asked him.

"I haven't, Jim. As soon as XANA's deactivated, I'll tell the principal the whole story, and you'll get your job back!" Jeremy said with a nod. We started walking to the elevator. Jim followed behind quickly.

"That's great, I can't wait to all this is settled. I honestly never imagine I would miss being your P.E. teacher," Jim said as we got into the elevator. "From now on, call me Jimbo huh?"

"Thanks. So, are you ready to go, Jimbo?" Jeremy asked, a smile on his face. He hit the button, and down we went. Not to the lab, not to the scanner room, but all the way to the computer itself. "Here we are," Jeremy announced as the elevator opened.

I looked at the computer in front of us. It was HUGE! It was mostly a huge cylinder, but that was still so amazing to see. Aelita gulped and took a step back from the machine, something that we all saw.

"Are you ok, Aelita?" I asked. She didn't reply, only continued to stare at the computer.

"If you want to wait a day or two..." Jeremy started. He put his hand on her shoulder in a comforting motion. She shook her head at the idea.

"No, the sooner the better." She decided.

"Ok. I think you should have the honor," Jeremy said. Aelita once again shook her head.

"No! I'd uh, rather you do it." Aelita said. She eyed the computer nervously again.

"Sure," Jeremy agreed, then walked up to the computer. I gave Aelita's shoulder a reassuring squeeze. The lever to the computer was out in the open now. I saw Aelita tale a step back when Jeremy took a hold of it. "XANA, you gave us a lot of grief, but thanks to you, we met Aelita. So goodbye, and good riddance!" Jeremy flipped the switch.

Aelita put a hand to her head and let out a shuttering breath. Her eyes closed and her knees buckled. Ulrich, Jim, and I all managed to catch her before she hit the ground.

Yumi turned back to Jeremy. "Turn the power back on, Aelita's not well! Hurry up!" She exclaimed. Jeremy pulled the switch back up then looked back at us.

"What's wrong with her?" Jeremy asked worriedly as Jim picked Aelita up gently.

"Let's hope XANA doesn't rear his ugly head." Odd said. I bit my lip in worry.

Later

"I think you guys had better go back. The teachers are going to start to get suspicious," Jeremy said, looking at the time. It'd been nearly an hour since we turned the computer back on.

"And what about you and Aelita? You think that's not going to be suspicious?" I asked with an eyebrow raised. We had brought Aelita out and laid her on the cot Jim had slept on the night before. She seemed to be alright, but she still hadn't woken up.

"No, but it'll be better if at least some of us are there." Jeremy pointed out. "And besides, I'll only worry all day if I'm not here. Go on without me."

"Alright. See you later, Jeremy. And call us when you figure out the problem." Yumi said. Jeremy nodded at that. The rest of us made our way back to the bridge.

"I hope Aelita's alright." I muttered.

"I'm sure she's fine." Ulrich tried to assure me.

"What part of passing out when the computer gets turned off seems alright to you?" I asked harshly. I stopped after I said it and looked away. "Sorry. I didn't mean for that to sound so snappy."

"It's fine. You're just worried. We all are." Odd said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I looked back at the factory one last time before we entered the tunnel.

"XANA... You're going to pay for this!" I vowed silently.

Factory, 3rd Person POV

Aelita held her arms as she and Jeremy exited the factory. There was a slight breeze that had picked up. She looked at Jeremy, her face full of wonder.

"What a strange sensation." She noted.

"You shivered, that's all. It's a reaction you get on the account of the cold." Jeremy explained, laughing slightly. Aelita nodded in understanding.

"I like the feeling of being a little chilly. And the sounds and the smell are all different at night." Aelita remarked, looking around at the street.

"Yeah. It's quiet and peaceful, and the plants all breathe differently." Jeremy agreed. As they walked by a small box of flowers, Jeremy picked a small, pink flower, and handed it to Aelita. "Here, smell this." She took the flower and lifted it up to her nose.

"Wow, it's wonderful to be alive!" She said. She gave Jeremy an incredibly grateful look. "And it's thanks to you that I'm here." Jeremy's cheeks lit up with red.

"Well, I uh, I-I didn't do it alone." He reminded her, stuttering. Aelita didn't seem to mind though. She grabbed his hand and they ran forward.

They slowed down a bit further along the path. Aelita stopped when she spotted a photo booth. "What's that? A scanner?" She asked innocently.

"No, not exactly. Follow me!" Jeremy grabbed her hand and led her inside. They took several pictures together, each of them sillier than the last. Jeremy kept the copies in his pocket. They reached Yumi's house only moments later. "Your castle awaits, Princess," Jeremy said, doing a bow and motioning at Yumi's door.

Aelita smiled at him again. "Thanks for walking me back In spite of the virus, I still had the most wonderful night of my life. Goodnight." She said, then kissed his cheek before going to Yumi's door. Jeremy was stunned. She looked back before closing the door. "See you tomorrow!"

Jeremy stared at the door for a few seconds. "Aelita's... Wow!" Jeremy exclaimed to himself. He put his hands into his pockets before he started walking back to Kadic He whistled the entire time.

The Next Day

Ulrich, Odd, and I all looked up when we saw Jeremy approaching. "What's the word, Einstein?" Odd asked.

"Yeah, you never called." I pointed out. He sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Yeah, I uh, got a bit distracted." I noticed his cheeks turned red for a moment I smirked. "A-anyways! I did find the problem."

"Well, spit it out. What do we need to do?" Ulrich asked.

"Well, long story short, XANA has infected Aelita with a virus." Jeremy explained. He looked down, his hands shoved in his pockets.

"A virus?" Odd questioned.

"Yes, a virus that links her to XANA. As long as it's still inside her, we can't turn the computer off without... well, you get the idea." Jeremy elaborated.

I let out a groan. "Damn virus. Always a step ahead of us!" I growled, clenching my fist.

"So, do you have any idea on how to get rid of this miserable virus?" Ulrich asked. Jeremy sadly shook his head.

"No, not yet. I hope the calculations my computer made will help me." He said. Odd looked over towards the entrance of the school.

"Hey, here come the girls." Odd said, pointing at them. Looking over, both Yumi and Aelita were indeed approaching us. We stood up and went over to them.

"How was your first night on Earth?" Ulrich had to ask, smiling at Aelita. The bell rang, but we still had time to get to class.

"Sleeping is really wonderful!" Aelita answered happily. He bounced on the balls of her feet excitedly.

"She would've slept all day if I hadn't shaken her a little." Yumi laughed alongside Aelita.

"You're just like me, Aelita. You'll see, sleeping in class isn't too bad either." Odd joked. I shook my head and elbowed him. "Hey!'

"Don't be a bad influence on her" I scolded him.

"Hey, don't you guys think we should get to class?" Jeremy pointed out. We bid Yumi farewell for the time being and ran over to our class.

Math Class

Ah, math. The least liked of all the subjects, and with good reason! With its confusing equations and throwing letters into math problem, it's enough to confuse anyone! I was sitting there, bored out of my mind next to Odd. Looking down, he was doodling a picture of a monster rather than taking his notes.

"Who can give us the definition of a pair of prime numbers? Sissi?" The teacher asked, looking at Sissi.

She nearly dropped her pencil in surprise. "Uh, a pair of uh, prime numbers... is two numbers that are both the same." Sissi stuttered. Half of the class laughed at the answer. The teacher was less than impressed.

"Thank you, Sissi. Can one of you give us a less hairbrained answer?" The teacher asked, looking across the room. Sissi folded her arms and made her usual pouty face. "Aelita?" The teacher called on.

"A pair of prime numbers occurs when their common denominator is one." Aelita answered.

"Ah, of course she'd be good at math. She DID live in a computer after all." I thought, then put a finger to my chin. "Maybe I should ask her for help in math. She might not give as complicated answers as Einstein."

"Very good, although-"

"In a principle rating, it's equivalent to the fact that their direct sum is equal to one, but of course, with a non-principle factorial rate, that is not the case." Aelita continued. My face fell.

"...Maybe not," I then decided. The teacher drew a straight line down the chalkboard in shock from hearing Aelita. I could hear Jeremy laughing, while almost everyone else as astounded and or confused.

A scream from the hallway cut everyone's surprise off. Ulrich, Odd, Aelita, Jeremy, and I all looked at one another and stood up. "Keep calm, everyone." The teacher said, then opened the door Several of us leaned out to see what was going on. The kid that had been screaming was running away from something very familiar.

A Kankrelat! (I finally managed to convince the others to change their stupid name.)

"Get back!" Ulrich ordered, shoving everyone back inside.

"Take cover!" I exclaimed. Everyone aside from our small group went and hid towards the back of the room.

"XANA's changed tactics! He's sent one of his monsters to Earth for the first time!" Jeremy realized with a grimace. "How'd he manage that?"

"Who cares!? The problem is, how do you suggest getting rid of him?" Odd asked.

"Like we always do, we fight them!" Ulrich exclaimed, like it had been the most obvious answer.

"But this isn't like always, Ulrich! We don't have life points or powers. If we get hit too much, it's a literal game over!" I pointed out.

"We have to take that risk! We all know that if there's a victim, going back in time won't bring them back to life." Ulrich pulled his phone out as he spoke. "Yumi? Yeah, we already know. We need to find weapons. Ok, Emily and I will meet you outside of the math class." He glanced at me. I nodded. I've always wanted to kick some monster ass in real life, after all.

"Well, let's go guys." Jeremy urged. We opened the door, and in the few minutes we'd been talking, things had gotten worse. Another kid ran by screaming his head off. The Kankrelat stopped chasing him and looked at us. Ulrich and I both took a defensive stance.

"We'll take care of this. You three get to the factory." I told them. Ulrich and I ran forward towards the monster. I ran straight by it while Ulrich leapt over it. We made a dash for the stairs, but Ulrich was unfortunately hit by a laser. He let out a grunt of pain and gripped the railing. I winced at his slightly burned shoulder.

We could hear it scuttling behind us. Right before it was going to fire, a javelin sailed over both Ulrich's head and my own. It stabbed through the monster, killing it instantly. Yumi was in front of us.

"What would you do without me?" She asked us. Yumi and I both gave her a thankful look. She then gasped when another Kankrelat was charging towards us. "Hurry up!" She grabbed our arms and led us forward. We ran out of the building, but there were even more monsters on campus!

"Guys! Let's take a little trip to the garden shed!" I shouted. They nodded at me, and we took off in that direction.

We had to dodge quite a bit of laserfire, but we made it without taking another hit. Ulrich closed the door and looked around the shed. "It looks like they've got their sights set on us." His eyes fell on a chainsaw. Yumi grabbed a small axe. I settled on the pitchfork that was hanging on the wall.

"Ok, let's show 'em what we can do." Yumi said.

"I feel like a badass." I admitted to them. We then ran out of the garden shed and attacked several of the scuttling monsters.

Scanner Room

"Oh no!" Aelita gasped as the elevator doors opened. Jim was fighting one of the monsters with a crowbar. A small pile was in the corner of already dead Kakrelats. Odd ran forward when he saw Jim struggling to kill the monster.

"Hang on Jim!" He exclaimed. He fired the nail gun he had found only minutes before. He missed every shot, but it was enough to get the Kankrelat running away and not firing. Jim rammed the crowbar into the Kankrelat, then looked at Odd with an annoyed look.

"I told you to call me Jimbo, remember!?" He threw the dead Kankrelat with all the others.

"Jeremy, you have to transfer me to Lyoko." Aelita then said. Jeremy looked at her in shock.

"What!? Have you forgotten XANA's virus, Aelita?" Jeremy reminded her. "What if XANA stops you from deactivating the tower, or returning to Earth?" Aelita closed her eyes at the thought.

"That's a risk we've got to take. The priority is to stop XANA." Aelita finally answered. "You know as well as I do that we have no choice, Jeremy. Think of all the other monsters XANA could materialize."

Jeremy frowned, both at the idea of Aelita going to Lyoko, and of XANA materializing more dangerous monsters. Finally, he conceited. With a sigh, he said, "Ok. Get into the scanner. I'll send you to Lyoko." He said nothing else as he went to the elevator. Aelita turned and entered the scanner closest to her.

"I'm deactivating the infected scanner. Get ready, Odd." Jeremy's voice rang out from above. The scanner opened with one last Kankrelat. Odd fired a nail at it before it could charge its laser.

"Nice going, kid." Jim complimented.

"I've located the activated tower. It's in the Ice Sector. That's where I'm sending you." Jeremy informed them. Odd stepped into the scanner as Jim looked around the room.

"By the way, where are Yumi, Emily, and Ulrich?" Jim asked.

"At school fighting monsters." Odd replied.

"I'm off. I'll be a lot more useful there." Odd threw the nail gun to him.

"Here. It's like a swiss army knife." Jim caught it and nodded his thanks to him. The scanner closed around Odd.

"Transfer, Aelita. Transfer, Odd. Scanner, Aelita. Scanner, Odd. VIRTUALIZATION!"

Lyoko

Odd landed as he normally did on the sector, but Aelita fell as well as everyone had the first time. She looked around the virtual world forlornly.

"It's strange being virtualized." She said, standing up with the help of Odd.

"Yeah, but you get used to it." Odd told her.

"No air to breathe, no smells, no warmth. I miss the real world already." Aelita said. Odd gave her a weak smile.

"Let's go, Aelita."The duo took off towards the direction the tower was in.

Forest

I'll be honest, things weren't going well for us. Our weapons were effective against XANA's fleet, but it's just that: it was three humans against one army. And unlike on Lyoko, our stamina and lack of powers were a thing.

"Augh!" I screeched. I had just been shot in the stomach. I fell, dropping the pitchfork as I held where I was hit. I saw another Kankrelat approaching fast. Ulrich and Yumi were too concerned with the other monsters, so I closed my eyes and prepared for the worst.

"BONZAI!" I heard someone yell I opened my eyes to see the Kankrelat in front of my get shot by... a nail? I looked over at where the voice had originated. There was Jim, was running towards us with a nail gun in hand. He fired at several more Kankrelats around us. "TAKE THAT, YA COCKROACH!"

Ulrich, Yumi, and I all stared at him, both extremely thankful, and absolutely astounded. "There's something I've gotta admit, Jim. For once, I'm glade you took us by surprise." Ulrich finally said.

"And my friends call me JimBO, got it?" He reminded us.

"You saved my life, Jimbo. Thank you!" I exclaimed, and gave him a quick hug. He grinned at me.

"You've probably saved mine a thousand time. Just trying to return the favor."

Ulrich pulled out his mobile. "Jeremy!"

"What is it, Ulrich? Where are you? Odd and Aelita really need your help!" I heard Jeremy say.

"We haven't finished the job here yet." Ulrich explained to him.

"Odd's only go 40 life points left. If Aelita's left all alone, she's headed for disaster!"

"Ok, we'll hurry up." Ulrich promised, the nhng up. More Kankrelats approached in the distance.

"You three had better hightail it to Lyoko. I can handle these bugs on my own." Jim assured us. "Am I right to say that the sooner you deactivate the tower, the safer the world's gonna be, is that it?" We all nodded. "Well then, what are you waiting for?! Go on and get the job done! It take a lot more than a few ugly monsters to beat your friend Jimbo!"

Ulrich and Yumi took off, but I held back for a moment. "Uh, Jim- er, Jimbo? We're gonna have to use a return trip, and well... that means you aren't gonna remember any of this." I quickly explained. "And I know you probably don't care about that, but I just wanted to say... Thank you for helping us out." I saw Jim's lips twitch slightly before he charged into battle. I quickly turned to run after my comrades.

We made it to the bridge as fast as we could and swung down into the elevator. I slammed my hand on the button, and the elevator went down to the scanner room.

"Jeremy!"Yumi exclaimed. She had called Jeremy on her phone.

"Guys, at least! Odd's down to 20 life points!" Jeremy said frantically.

"We're on our way to the scanner room. Don't worry about Odd. 20 points is enough for him." She said. We made a mad dash for the scanners as soon as the doors opened. I had to stop though, as Odd fell out of the scanner I was about to enter.

"I ran out of arrows..." He shamefully admitted.

"You did your best, Odd. Leave the rest to us." I assured him. I helped him out of the scanner, and I stepped inside.

"Transfer, Ulrich. Transfer, Yumi. Transfer, Emily. Scanner, Ulrich. Scanner, Yumi. Scanner, Emily. VIRTUALIZATION!"

Lyoko

The three of us landed on an icy path not far from the activated tower. Ulrich unsheathed his sword, and we were off.

"Aelita's taking cover in a cave back there!" Jeremy told us. I could hear the Hornet firing its laser at something. Yumi pulled her fan out and threw it forward with a grunt. Rather than hitting the monster, it hit the wall that had been BLOCKING the monster.

"Way to go, Yumi." I deadpanned.

"You can do better than that." Ulrich agreed.

"Sorry." She said somewhat sheepishly. We ran to where the ice wall had been. Yumi leapt into the hole she made and picked up her fan.

"That way!" I pointed in the direction the cave went. We slid forward, our sights set on the Hornet terrorizing our friend. We caught up quickly enough.

"Now, Yumi!" Jeremy exclaimed.

"Hiyah!" She threw her fan again. It bounced off of one of the stalactites and hit the Hornet.

"Yeah, that's how you do it" I cheered.

"It's all in the wrist. I'm a great frisbee player." Yumi half boasted. Aelita slid back over to us with a look of relief.

"That was close!"

"C'mon, Aelita. You know we'd never let you go it alone."Ulrich said.

"And we can't let the school keep going it alone either!" I reminded them. We all slid forward to press on. At the end of the tunnel stood the tower. Aelita offered no hesitation in running inside of it.

"Return to the past, now!" A slightly dejected Jeremy said. A white bubble engulfed the world.

Jeremy's Dorm

We were all back in Jeremy's room, right at the moment when we'd given Aelita the good news. The jovial mood we'd had was gone now though, and was replaced with a solemn one.

"Aelita, we're restarting the materialization program immediately. We've gotta wipe out XANA before he launches another attack." Jeremy said.

"Jeremy, it's impossible." Aelita stopped him before he could enter the program. "The virus is still in me, I can feel it."

I gripped my jacket sleeve tightly. Jeremy was so heartbroken. He'd worked SO hard on the materialization program, but it seemed like it was all for nothing. I blinked back the tears in my eyes.

"But... we've still gotta try it." Jeremy insisted. "Maybe you can be treated here on Earth."

"No, Jeremy. You know that as well as I do. As long as this virus is still inside of me, we can't destroy XANA without destroying me at the same time." Aelita said sadly. Yumi put a hand on Jeremy's shoulder for comfort.

"We could materialize you for an hour or two, so you could pay us a little visit." She suggested.

"Why not? But the rest of the time, I'll have to stay here on Lyoko to keep fighting XANA. Until the day you find an antivirus." Aelita said.

Jeremy had tears in his eyes. "Aelita... I..."

I heard Kiwi lift his head. "Oh crap! Jim!" I exclaimed. Aelita quickly disappeared from the screen as we stood up. The door suddenly opened, revealing none other than good ol' Jimbo.

"So, you kids are at it again?" He questioned.

"No, Jim. We were studying." Odd tried again. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.

"Oh, studying my eye! I've had enough of your lies! We're gonna stay right here until you tell me everything." Jim demanded.

"Jim? What is going on here?" We heard the principal cut in. I looked over at the others. We all had the same expression.

"Ah, you came by at just the right time, sir! I was just about to find out what exactly these children were up to again!" Jim reported to him. Mr. Delmas gave him an exasperated expression.

"Another one of your absurd stories about secret meetings and mysterious passages? I've had about enough of this, Jim! I'm going to have to-"

"H-he's right, sir!' Ulrich cut in. "We really were plotting."

"We were!" I affirmed.

"We were going to play a little joke on Nicholas and Herb." Jeremy said.

"In fact sir, if Jim hadn't caught us, we would've been late to school for sure." Yumi added. Mr. Delmas gave us all an unsure looked, then to Jim.

"Well then, I'll look the other way this time since you've admitted what you'd done. Now, off to class, children." Mr. Delmas walked off. Jim gave us all a shocked look.

"Wow, you made up one heck of a story, kids. Why did you get me off the hook?" Jim asked.

"Well, you never know, Jim. Maybe you'll do the same for us one day." I told him cryptically.

"And you know, we never really get a chance to thank you for all you've done for us, so thanks a lot, Jimbo." Ulrich said with a wink.

"Yeah, thanks!" Odd thanked him as well.

Yumi reached up and kissed his cheek. "You're a real hero, and a fantastic PE teacher." He seemed shocked.

I smiled and looked at all the others. Sure, things hadn't gone exactly as planned, and we'd have to keep fighting XANA. But I knew that one day, we'd finally be rid of him.

We slung our arms around each others shoulders and laughed as we made our way to class.

With friends like these guys, was there anything we couldn't do?
