(Jades POV)
I knew something was off with Tori the moment I came off the stage. She stood closer to me, not that I minded but I constantly saw fear in her eyes, even when she was with her it was still there. Something had happened at that Full Moon Jam, and Cat knew but she won't tell me. If something had happened to her, I don't know what I would do. But I knew for a fact it would be something illegal. I walked into my house for the first time in ages, the whole time I had been over at Tori's house. I had always thought my house had always been empty, but after being in Tori's home throughout the day and night hers was a lot worse.
I walked into the kitchen dumping my bag on the table, I would've been spending time with Tori like I always do except she was doing a project with Cat. I sighed opening the fridge and stared into it blankly. I was strange not having the half latinas present near me, at least then my mind is at a little at ease. I won't say completely as I have to deal with the constant thought, of I really want to kiss Tori right now and trying to refrain myself from doing it.
I knew I was living in my own crazy mind, but a part of me was expecting me her to run towards me and jump in my arms. Plant small kisses all over my face and declare her undying love for me. God, I was watching too many romantic comedy films with Tori. I sighed and grabbed a yoghurt.
"I thought you would be at your girlfriends Jade" A voice I recognized said from the doorway. I felt my heart beat a little bit faster when I heard the word girlfriend, hang on I don't have a girlfriend.
"What?" I asked alarmed turning to face the woman I called my mother. She was just a bit taller than me, with brown hair that curled just below her shoulders. Mom was walking into the kitchen with a bunch of letters in her hand not bothering to look up at me.
"I'm not stupid Jade, you haven't been home in ages, and Lizzie has seen a brunnette with you a lot around school" She looked up at me, her blue eyes locking with my green ones a grin making her way onto her face. "So who's the lucky girl?"
I scowled and mentally cursed for my step sister for being so bloody nosy. "I don't have a girlfriend"
"Okay, who's the lucky girl who you want to be your girlfriend?" I narrowed my eyes at her and walked out of the kitchen "So, we'll talk about this girl later then" She said following me. I plopped down on the sofa and turned on the TV. I started spooning the yoghurt into my mouth, trying my hardest to ignore mother dearest.
"So you're staying for dinner then?" She asked and I nodded not turning my eyes away from the horror movie I had put on. "This is great, we'll have a proper family meal"
"If Lizzie's there it won't be" I commented chucking the empty put onto the table.
"Jade," Mom said tired of having the same conversation over and over again. "Lizzie is apart of the family just as much as you are"
I pulled out my phone not interested in having this talk again with her. I tried to ignore how much I was missing Tori, but it was kind of impossible to do so. I pulled up my messages and sent her a text.
Jade- Text me when you're finished with Cat x
I looked up and saw Mom grinning towards me "You texting her" She said and I couldn't stop my cheeks heating up as she said it.
"No" I lied hoping my acting skills were good enough for her to see through my lies, but that was never the case with Mom.
"Okay, I'll just pretend you're telling the truth" She said getting up and walking into the kitchen leaving me scowling at the TV. I knew there was a reason I preferred staying at Tori's house even if it was un-occupied most of the time. I tried to bring my attention back to the horror movie playing, but it was one of the very predictable ones. So my interest was lost very soon. I felt my phone vibrate and I looked at it, a grin forming on her face when I saw it was from Tori.
Tori- Just finished xxxx
Jade- Want me to pick you up at Cat's? x
Tori- Please xoxoxoxox
I smiled and got up, putting my phone in my pocket.
"Where are you off to?" Mom said poking her head around the door.
"Out" I said walking towards the front door.
"I thought you were staying for dinner?" She said frowning.
"I'm just going to pick up Vega"
"Oh," She said smiling "Will she be coming back here?" I nodded "Brilliant she's staying for dinner, pick up Lizzie as well"
I groaned and slammed the door behind me, sending a quick text to Tori saying I'm on my way, and texting Lizzie to be ready in five minutes or I'll leave without her. I started my car up and pulled out of my driveway, driving towards Cat's house. I had started feeling a lot better now that I knew I would be spending the rest of the afternoon with Tori, even if my Mom and Lizzie will be joining us. But I guess you win some you lose some.
I honked my horn as I pulled in front of Cats house. I smiled when I noticed Tori sitting by the front door, grinning when she saw me. She got up and walked towards my car getting into the passengers seat.
"Hey you" She said grinning.
"Hello back," I said as I began to drive towards Hollywood Arts. "If it's alright with you, I kind of accidentally got you to have dinner with my family" I said and I was waiting for Tori's flat out no.
"Really?" I heard her say and I turned my head to look at her. A blush was creeping onto her cheeks as her smile grew.
"Well yeah, I mean I understand if you don't want to"
"No, I'd love to" She said and I couldn't help but smile at her response. "What if your Mom doesn't like me?"
"Trust me Vega, my Mom would love you" I looked over and grinned at her "I just got to pick someone up first" Tori nodded and removed her brown leather jacket that just left Tori wearing a short sleeved top. I quickly glanced over at her, suddenly noticing fingerprint sized bruises on her forearm. I decided not to say anything while I was driving, but I seriously had to contain my anger. Yelling at Tori isn't the best thing to do in this situation, but the fucker who did it. Well he can be cut with my scissors.
I pulled up front of Hollywood Arts not seeing Lizzie outside, I turned my body around to face the brunette and gently stroked the area where the bruises were placed. "Tori, what happened?" I asked gently noticing the way Tori shivered when I touched her tanned skin.
"Someone grabbed me" She said looking into my eyes.
"Who grabbed you? When, what happened?" I asked my voice rising. Tori could tell my temper was rising and she placed her hands on my shoulders.
"Jade, I'm fine okay," Tori said and the tone of voice she used caused me to look nowhere else but her face. I was just captivated by her. Her voice, how beautiful she is, how strong she is. I couldn't look away. "It was at the Full Moon Jam right before you came and he wouldn't leave me alone. But Cat was with me"
By the end of her explanation I had managed to calm down a little, knowing the fact that she wasn't alone and she seemed okay. "Who was he?" I said narrowing my eyes. Tori gave a defeated sigh and fidgeted slightly in her seat before answering.
"I don't know his last name, but he's called Chip" She answered and I couldn't help but scoff at his name. Chip, who the fuck names their child Chip? "Please don't do anything about this Jade"
"No promises" I mumbled, my eyes going back to the bruises that stood out against her skin. I leaned towards her and pressed my lips softly against the skin.
"Five minutes she says, be ready she says" A voice said from the backdoor of my car as it opened. I jumped away from the brunette and cleared my throat, not daring to look at the girl I had gotten to close to her.
"Maybe you should be out here ready when I tell you to be" I snapped
"I was," Lizzie said "For ten minutes, then I was talking to Chip because somebody was late picking me up" My body froze at the mention of that name, and I knew Tori was tensing up I glanced over at her and watched as her eyes followed someone with a hint of fear in them.
A growl emitted from my throat as I got out of the car slamming the door behind me. My hand clenched into a fist as I marched up to the tall brunette. I clearly wasn't thinking straight, to be honest I'm not thinking at all. I'm just going on impulse, and right now that was breaking this guys nose.
I was right behind him, ignoring the approaching footsteps being me. I tapped him on the shoulder making him turn around to face. Before he had a chance to say anything I swung my arm back and punched him square in the face.
"What the fuck bitch?" He yelled clutching his nose as blood started pouring from it.
I swung my arm back again till a hand clutched my arm "Jade don't" I heard Lizzie say and I turned my head to look past the blonde haired girl to look at Tori. The half latina had tears in her eyes and wrapped her arms around her body. All the anger disappeared from my body, and Lizzie must have sensed that as she released me from her grip.
"Go near her again, and it won't just be your nose that's broken" I spat, watching as he towards his car leaving behind a trail of blood. I turned my attention to Tori and walked towards her wrapping my arms around her body, hugging her tightly and she hugged me back with the same amount of force.
"I have no idea what's going on, but I don't see the point in asking questions that I'm not going to get the answer to" I heard Lizzie say but I ignored her just focused on the girl in my arms who nuzzled her face into my neck. "I'll go wait in the car"
And there we have it, chapter 11. So what did you guys think? I have inntroduced a new character Lizzie. What I've written so far I like her and she is quite important to the plot. Review what you guys thought, about the chapter and Lizzie and I'll see you all in the next one :D
