Look at this, a very quick update. Benefit of having this chapters already written. So Chapter 12 is here. So thanks to everyone who reviewed the last chapter, and those who favorited and followed. So this followed straight on from the last chapter where Jade punched that guy Chip in the face. It was the same Chip by the way from Chapter 10 not this random other Chip, I mean how many people name their child Chip. I certainly won't. Anyways enjoy Chapter 12 :)

(Tori's POV)

I never thought a person could feel this many emotions without breaking, but here I was feeling a shit load of them. Thankful, concern, confusion and all of them were connected to the raven haired girl. We got back in the car after a while of hugging and me fussing about Jade's hand that was once again bruised, and her telling me she was fine. The rest of the car ride was filled in uncomfortable silence, I guess we all really wanted to say something but no one really wanted to go first. I had put my jacket back on to hide the bruises from the blonde haired girl, who I still didn't know her name or anything about her.

The closer we got to Jade's house, the more nervous I became. I'm not the best with parents, I'm always afraid I'll say something wrong and they'll start judging me and hating me straight away. But this is Jade's Mom that I'm going to encounter and I really wanted to make a good impression on her. Jade doesn't talk about her Mom much or her Dad, but her Dad I can understand why. He seemed very boring and uptight, and didn't believe in Jade going anywhere with her life after she's dedicated it to performing. I really hope her Mom isn't the same. We pulled up in the driveway, and Jade turned off the engine getting out.

"Home sweet home" I heard the girl mumble as she got out as well with me following behind her.

"I'm Lizzie by the way, thought I'd introduce myself seeing as Jade won't" The girl whose name was Lizzie said turning towards me smiling. The girl was tall, like really tall and skinny. She had dirty blonde hair that was tied back in a ponytail, only her bangs were free and they flopped in front of eyes. I smiled back noticing different colours of paint stained her hair, clothes and skin.

"Tori, so I guess you're a painter" I said making hand gestures p and down her body. She looked down and grinned.

"Yeah, you can say that. It's the only reason I'm in Hollywood Arts something that Jade is thrilled about" She said the grin still on her face as she opened the front door allowing me to go through first.

"Thanks," I said walking through "So what are you and Jade?"

"Were sisters" She said closing the door behind her completely ignoring the shocked expression on my face. "Well sort of" She smiled at me again and led me towards the kitchen where Jade must have gone to. How long has Jade had a sister for? Why wouldn't she tell me this? And how come I haven't seen her when she goes to our school? A pair of voices could be heard from inside the kitchen which I guessed were Jade and her Mother. We walked in and I couldn't help but smile at the scene that was playing out in front of me. Jade was scowling as her mother stood in front of her dabbing a bag of ice on the bruise.

"How did this happen?" Her mom asked the raven haired girl who just kept scowling who obviously wasn't going to talk.

"It was my fault sort of," Lizzie piped in from her spot beside me and I noticed the way Jade's eyes narrowed at the tall blonde. "I don't know how we got on to the conversation of reflexes but, Jade was saying because I'm an artist, I have really awful reflexes. So I of course had to prove her wrong, resulting in her trying to punch me in the face but hitting the wall instead" She shook her head dramatically slinging an arm around my shoulder and surprisingly I didn't flinch or shy away at the contact. Maybe because she's Jade's sister is the reason why. "Unfortunately Tori had to witness all of it"

Jade's Mom sighed and ran a hand through her brown hair looking between the two sisters.

"Dinners ready in half hour, Lizzie clean up," She said before turning to me "So you're the person that's causing Jade to grin every time she looks at her phone" Her Mom smirked and I couldn't help the blush that began to creep it's way up to my face, and notice how both Jade and her Mom have exactly the same smirk. Lizzie laughed could be heard as she walked up the stairs. Jade quickly stood up and grabbed my hand dragging me out of the kitchen and up the stairs, not leaving me any time to say anything to woman still standing in the kitchen.

I heard Jade mumble something in front of me but it was too quiet for me to hear. To be honest I was still confused about the whole situation and I don't really know how to react to any of this. The nice sister and caring Mom, it was something I was definitely not used to. So I just followed Jade as she lead me to her room, not that I was complaining the more company I got to spend with the goth the better.

"Please," Lizzies voice said behind us "If you're going to do stuff tell me so I can put a pair of headphones on" I turned around to face my blush darkening as I noticed the teasing grin on her face.

"Shut up, Liz or would you like me to tell a certain red headed friend that you like her" Jade smirked as she pulled me into her room and shut the door just as something hit it.

"What was that?" I asked hoping my blush had disappeared when Jade looked over at me.

"She probably threw a paintbrush" She said shrugging a little before sitting down on the bed.

"So that's your sister?" I asked sitting down beside her.

"It's complicated" Jade mentions as she takes my hand in hers, gently stroking her thumb over the back of my hand. I tried to ignore the shock of electric that seemed to go through my body as Jade did that.

"Well she seems nice," I said "How come you never mentioned her?"

"I don't like her"

"Well isn't that I surprise, Jade West not liking someone" I said as I gently ran my fingers over the bruise.

"You've really got to stop punching things and people when you get mad" I said quietly.

"Well he deserved it," Jade said "He bruised you, so I bruised him simple as that" As much as I would love for Jade to not punch stuff all the time, I know it's her own way of showing she cares for me. And just the thought of someone like Jade caring about me is enough for my stomach to do backflips. I leant upwards and kissed her cheek softly.

"Well thank you" I whispered in her ear and then rested her head on my shoulder. "Does your sister really like Cat?" I asked looking up at the girl sitting beside me.

"Yeah she does," Jade said pulling a face "It's really gross" I laughed slightly at the face Jade was pulling and poked her in the side.

"And why is that?"

"Because Cat is my best friend and like my sister, and it's just ew" I laughed again and fell back against the bed, closing my eyes and sighing peacefully. I liked being here, the house just seemed so full of life, it was different. A good different.

"Jade?" I said poking one eye open to look at Jade, "Why don't we hang out here?"

The girl in question shrugged before laying down next to me "Why do you like it?"

I nodded "Yes, I know you don't talk about them much but your Mom and sister seem super nice" Before Jade had a response a voice form the other side of the door spoke up.

"Lovebirds, dinners ready" Lizzie said and I heard Jade curse beside me.

"Do me a favour, ignore everything my sister says for the rest of the night?" Jade said and I smiled getting up.

"I will make no such promises" I grinned as the raven haired girl grinned back.

It felt weird sitting down, and having a family meal. But it was good weird, something I could get use to the feeling. Jades Mom, who insisted I called her Joyce, was super nice all evening and literally piled up my plate with a load of food. Throughout all of this I could see Jade shaking her head out the corner or my eyes, which of course made the smile on my face grow into a grin. Thankfully the conversation wasn't directed at me, but seemed to be the usual stuff that any family would talk about over dinner. Joyce was asking Jade and Lizzie about their school work, asked me what I was doing at school. It felt nice having someone listen when I talk.

"Jade could you pop to the shop for a moment for me, we've ran out of milk" Joyce asked the goth about an hour after we had finished dinner and were sprawled along the sofa casually watching TV.

"Why can't Lizzie go?" Jade asked not moving her eyes from the TV.

"Give me the keys to your car and I'll be happy to go?" Lizzie said from her spot on the floor, where she had a sketch pad on her lap and was drawing.

"Fine I'll go," Jade said removing herself from our entanglement of limbs "You alright here on your own?" She asked me and I nodded.

"Did you really just ask her if she's fine here, when you are the person with the collection of scissors in her room?" Lizzie asked looking up at her raising an eyebrow.

"Yes which I'll use on you, if you don't shut up" Jade growled before storming out the house slamming the door behind her.

"And the wicked witch is gone" Lizzie yelled before jumping in the vacant spot beside me and placing a hand on my forehead.

"What are you doing?" I asked confused looking up at the blonde.

"Checking to see if you're not dangerously ill because you're willingly hanging out with Jade" She grinned. Lizzie sure does grin a lot, which is really strange seeing as Jade barely even smiles. "I'm kidding, the two of you are cute together" She said shrugging. The comment shocked me slightly but I chose to lock in the back of my mind. Focus on that later, now get to know this girl.

"So how come you look nothing like Jade?" This was the true, the siblings looked nothing alike. Jade features were a lot more sharper than Lizzies, and their eye colour was completely different as well. One emerald green the other ocean blue.

"I won't give you all the details, thats up to Jade. She doesn't trust people easily," Lizzie said stretching her legs onto the coffee table. "We're not related. Her Dad is my step Dad" She said shrugging smiling at me again. But this time the smile didn't quite reach her eyes, but I didn't ask if she's alright knowing she won't tell me if she's anything like Jade.

"How come I never see you at school?" I asked "And how come none of us knew about you?"

"Well I'm usually in the art department, and Jade doesn't talk about me that much you see. Even when she was dating Beck he didn't see me, I don't even think he knows I exist"

"That's awful" I said frowning

"Eh, I'm use to it. Besides I don't really need friends, I don't really know how to interact with them," She said picking up her sketch pad again and started drawing. "I had this one friend once though when I first started school, she was a dancer. I use to stare at her quite a lot, she got really creeped out by it. I do that quite a lot, stare at people. But I call it observing" She looked up at me and smiled. Before showing me what she had drawn. It was me, and a very good drawing of me. Like really good.

"This is really good" I said smiling.

"Thanks, you should come by the art room one of the days I'll show you some more if you want" She said as she turned to another page and started drawing again.

"I would love that" I said yawning slightly.

"Tired?" She asked and I nodded. "Go into Jade's bed, you were probably going in there anyways. Joke not intended"

I smiled slightly and stood up "Night"

"Night Tori," Lizzie called after me as I walked through the door "Oh Tori promise me something. Don't hurt Jade please"

I looked at her confused for a moment, why would I ever hurt Jade. She's the only person I can truly count on "I promise" I said meaning it. I would do everything in my power not to let Jade get hurt.
