Don't own.

The Titans were already doing a terrible job of being undercover. They stood out like a sore thumb; every student on the frenzied campus was accompanied by a parent.

"Oops." Beast Boy said.

"Plenty of them are on their own," Raven insisted. This wasn't the case, but the waves of discomfort rolling off of her teammates were approaching unbearable. She felt naked as it was without her uniform; T-shirts and jeans she had owned, but never an outfit had she worn in public.

"She's right," Robin instructed. "Everyone relax. Meet in Cy and Beast Boys room in an hour, got it? B410."

Cyborg and Beast Boy split off together. Robin had pulled up the schools server the previous night and roomed them together, as well as Raven and Starfire. He had signed himself up for a random roommate assignment. The mayor of Jump, with all the resources he allotted Robin, was lucky he didn't abuse them.

"Keep an eye out for anything," He murmured to Raven as she left with Star. "I'll come get you guys for a debrief in a little bit." She felt his nerves as well, could see them in his rare, blue gaze, but decided to comment on them later.

"Where do we go?" Starfire turned in a circle, unsure of herself. Raven grabbed her arm and yanked- the alien had hovered slightly to get a better view.

"Starfire, you attract enough attention when you're not flying."

"I am sorry, I will be more careful."

"Ladies," an arm wrapped around Ravens shoulder and she froze, resisting the urge to blast the large, blond haired boy that had stepped up behind them. Although he proved too short to encompass Starfire shoulders in the gesture, he still managed to draw her closer. "You two look a little lost. Can I offer my assistance?"

"Yes, that would be wonderful!" Starfire squealed. Raven shimmied out from under his arm.

"We're in Harvey Hall." She stated stiffly.

"Perhaps you could give us directions?" Starfire asked.

"Directions? I'll escort you. I'm part of the welcoming committee, my name is Josh. I'll be your tour guide." He showed them his nametag; Starfire was instantly impressed.

"Follow moi, my ladies."

Robin watched at the guy led his female teammates away, resisting the urge to follow. They could take care of themselves, he knew, but he couldn't help feeling the smallest ounce of satisfaction at seeing Raven squirm at his unwelcome touch.

Beast Boy bounced a tennis ball off the ceiling.

"Dude. College is boring."

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a commotion was heard outside. The two of them jammed on their rings, waited impatiently for their images to transform them into more humanlike forms, before wrenching open the door.

A student was seated on a rolling chair. His companions grabbed a hold and started to run. They raced down the length of the hall and let go. A bedsheet rope tied to its base stretched out as the chair whizzed past a stunned Cyborg and Beast Boy. When it reached its full length, the rolling chair stopped abruptly. The student sailed through the air and bounced off a mattress propped against the wall.

"I take that back," Beast Boy said, watching as they reloaded the rolling chair with another student. "College is awesome!"

Robin wound his way up the stairs in the dorm, headed for the girls room. He knocked on the door and waited for a response. It sounded loud inside, a stark contrast to his own room, where he fervently researched newspapers for hints about the radioactive exposure as his roommate tried to get him to come to this and that party.

Starfire finally opened the door, beaming.

"Richard, college is a most exquisite experience! There are so many friends to be made!"

Indeed there was. Starfire had wasted no time- approximately three weeks- in attracting new friends as quickly as possible. The titans were enrolled in classes all over the spectrum of interests, in the hopes of casting a wide net of inquiry over the students. Starfires new acquaintances filled her room now, shoulder to shoulder, and not surprisingly most were of the male variety. They sat on the beds, in the desk chairs and on the floor.

"I'm glad you're uh, settling in." He said, putting a hand on her shoulder. The team had spent the first few weeks apart, to avoid the attention of any HIVE spies. "Listen, is Raven in here?" For such a tiny room, Robin wouldn't have been able to find the empath if he had tried.

"She informed me her intentions were to make more friends in the schools library." Starfire said. She added in a whisper, "I am most proud of her attempts to blend in!"

"Making more friends?"

Raven didn't even look up at him. "Better to befriend books than disgusting frat boys."

"They seemed nice."

"You're a guy," She countered without lifting her nose from a book with a golden, much used cover. "A girl that looks like Kori and wearing what Kori usually wears invites you back to her room to 'join in friendship.' I wonder why they were being 'nice,' hm?"

"Oh. Right." Robin shrugged, giving her a look on behalf of his kind that said Can't change a zebras stripes. "Should I have left her alone in there?"

"The girl has superhuman strength. I don't think there will be a problem. Besides, with her investigating the entire male population of the school, and you the female, I won't have to anything and we can go home soon."

"Hey, if I ask every good looking girl in the school, odds are one of them has been effected by a radioactive spill."

She rolled her eyes as Robin waggled his eyebrows at her; she was well aware of the times that girls bent over in front of him, reaching for a purposely dropped bag or paper. His mind lit up like a hormonal lightbulb.

"Seriously, though." He said, holding his hands up to break off the banter. "I just wanted to, you know, check up on you. Make sure things were okay."

Now it was Ravens turn to smirk knowingly. "Come on, Boy Wonder. You haven't spoken to any one of those girls. You're just as uncomfortable as I am."

Robin raised his unmasked eyes to hers. He'd seen a lot of the ground lately, keeping his blue orbs downturned. Direct eye contact was something he was very unfamiliar with outside of the tower.

"I didn't expect it to be such a big deal," He admitted sheepishly that he'd actually sought her out for a familiar face.

"I felt it the moment you took it off," She said matter of factly. "It made me laugh out loud, it felt like you were surprised to see your own eyeballs- what?"

Robin had turned a deep shade of red.

"Uh. You didn't spend too much time in my head when you felt that, did you?"

"No..." Raven said slowly. "Should I have?"

"No! I was, er, I mean, I was about to take a show-."

"Stop talking," Raven squeezed her eyes shut, holding up a hand. "Just…. stop talking. I'm sorry."

"It's okay…" Robin trailed off, horrified with the awkwardness of the situation. Where did all this tension come from? Before all this, Raven would have made some smartass remark, and he would have laughed. Teasing had been their second language. What was wrong with them?

Both teens were relieved when their communicators sounded. Robin snapped his open to reveal Starfires face. Raven quickly used her powers to soundproof their small nook of the library.

"Friends! I have most glorious news! I have found a victim of the radioactivity, who says he has developed new abilities!"

"That's great Kor," Robin said, all business. "Does he know who you are?"

"No, I did not know if I was supposed to reveal myself to him."

"Tell him you can help," Robin instructed. "We'll come meet you, and explain everything."

"Excellent! This mission is not as difficult as I presumed it to be!" Starfire hung up.
"You sure a tell-all is a good idea?" Raven asked as they left the library.

"These kids need to know they're not alone." Robin said, shouldering his backpack. "What harm could it do?"
