Disclaimer- Victorious isn't mine

Hours must have passed since I found out Tori was alive, and my heart had been beating in an irregular pattern since then. She's alive. I look around the hospital waiting room to see who was here for Tori. My Mom had came and went because she had to work but she said she'll back as soon as she's finished. Earlier if she could. Lizzie was still here, the blonde refused to leave me alone. I looked over at her and smiled slightly at the sight of her. She had tucked herself into one of the chairs, her long legs tucked up to her chest with one arm dangling down, her fingers brushing against the floor. Beside her was Cat, who stared down at the blonde haired girl, who seemed to be fast asleep, with her head resting on the redheads lap. Cat's hand was stroking the taller girls blond hair as she stared down at her, a sad smile on her face.

I got up from my chair and moved my way over there. Passing by a sleeping Beck, Andre and Robbie all of them had showed an hour after we had found out Tori was okay. I felt sorry for them, none of them had known what has been going on these past few months. All of them have been left in the dark. Now they get a call from Cat telling them Tori is in the hospital. I can only imagine what they would be feeling right now. But yet they stayed.

Cat looked up at me when I got closer, and I saw the distance look in her eyes. Sitting down beside her, I looked down at Lizzie.

"She's supposed to be in Chicago right now" Cat whispered and I nodded solemnly. "She can't leave Jade. She can't go with him"

My eyes glanced up at Cat's face and I could see the worry and concern that she had for Lizzie. "Why? What's going on with her?"

"Your Dad screwed her up" She said softly "Do you even know her Mom?"

I shook my head "I never cared enough to ask"

"Do you care now?" Cat asked and I was taken aback by the question. What does she mean by care? Care about what? Lizzie? I glanced down quickly at the girl who had been forced into my life at such a young age. The girl who I had barely any contact with and refused to even believe she existed. I had been nothing but a bitch to her throughout all those years, but now everything is different. This was the girl who was giving up her life just for me to have mine.

"Yes, yes I do care" I said finally and Cat nodded accepting my answer. Cat and I have been best friends all our life, but the small redhead has always felt the need to protect her, even when we were just children. Cat was the one who had alway tried to include her in our games. Who always went out of her way to make the other girl feel special. No matter what she says I'm certain that Cat loves Lizzie, more then she lets on.

"This is from what she told me," Cat looked back down at her and gently placed a hand on her cheek. "Before she was at yours, it was just her Mom and herself. They didn't have a lot of money, but her Mom really loved her. She was an artist just like Lizzie." I kept my eyes fixed on Lizzie's face. She seemed so peaceful right now, as she nuzzled her face against Cat's hand.

"Then one day, your Dad showed up and her Mom promised her that the two of them would have a better a future together. At this time she was only four. Her Mom started dating your Dad then the two of them got married before the end of the year" My hand clenched slightly at the thought of my father ruining another persons life.

"Then her Mom, kept spending a lot of time away. Not coming back until the late at night, never leaving her room. The days she was at home, she had told Lizzie to spend a lot of time in her room and keep out of sight, especially when he came home. One time, she heard yells and cries and things breaking. At the time she was confused of what was going on, but now Lizzie realizes he had been abusing her" Cat said, her voice soft. My jaw clenched as my hatred for that man ran through my veins.

"One day, her Mom never came home. She died of drug abuse, making your Dad her legal guardian. She thought he cared about her, but when he left her at yours. She felt abandoned and confused, and more importantly un-loved. When she went away for those few days it was so she could go to a meeting, with her psychiatrist"

"Wait, she had a psychiatrist? I thought it was a social worker"

"That's what she told you and your Mom. Her reason why was because she didn't want the two of you to worry about her or believe she was crazy"

"I would never have thought that" I said, placing my hand on her blonde head.

"You would've back then," Cat told me and I knew it was true. "Every now and then she has these small outbursts, I have to calm her down. And they're usually around the time when she has to go to her Fathers. He doesn't treat her right"

"Like how?" Cat didn't answer me, instead she used her free hand to lift up the hem of Lizzie's t-shirt slightly.

"Fucking hell" I whispered. A purple and blue bruise was decorated on her hip, that disappeared under her trousers. It seemed to be around a weeks old and it looked very, very painful. "How did that happen?" I asked, my voice deadly quiet and filled with rage.

"She was pushed into a bookcase," Her hand ghosted over the bruised skin as she answered softly.

"Was it by him?" I asked. Cat never answered me but I knew what she would say. My vision turned red, I had to find a way to control my anger. Never have I felt this kind of anger to anyone else but the man that had raped Tori. How dare he even lay a hand on her?

"Is that all he's done?"

"He's the reason she keeps going to therapy. He makes her believe that she's going to end up like her Mom," Cat's eyes glassed over as she wrapped her arm over the top of Lizzie's body, in a protective manner. "But she won't. I've tried to make her understand that whatever happened to her mom, won't happen to her. She won't listen to me though, that man drilled it into her head for so long, she believes it"

I could sense Cat was going to start crying soon, and I could see how much she was trying not to for Lizzie's sake. Right now I have to put Lizzie first. Just like I've been doing with Tori.

"She can't go with him" I said my voice filled with determination.

"I know, but I don't know what to do to make her stay. She thinks that everything will be better for the two of you if she does go. Your Mom won't have to work so much, and she thinks you'll be happier without her" Cat looked up at me her eyes brimming with tears. "You have to help her"

I nodded my head immediately "Cat I promise you, Lizzie will be spending no more time with that man" As I said it I knew I meant it. I'd do whatever it takes to make sure Lizzie or Tori are never harmed again. We were silent for a long time, both of us just watching the steady rise and fall of Lizzie's chest.

"Wait, if you knew why didn't you tell anyone what was happening to her?" I questioned dragging my eyes away from the blonde to the red head, narrowing my eyes slightly.

"The same reason, you didn't say anything about Tori" Cat said and I knew what she meant. "She told me not to, and what else was I supposed to do but agree to it" I never got to say anymore as Lizzie groaned slightly as she subconsciously pressed her face into Cat's stomach, making the girl smile.

"Can I ask you a question?" I whispered trying not to wake Lizzie up. When Cat nodded I continued "Why don't you tell her how you feel?"

"I don't know, a part of me knows she feels the same but it's complicated" She said and I hummed in agreement.

"You know she's hopelessly in love with you," I said "You make her happy. She smiles whenever you're in the same room as her, or even being mentioned. So just give her a chance"

"So like you are with Tori then" Cat said, brushing some hair out of Lizzie's face.

"I'm going to fix this," I said "I'm going to fix what happened with Tori, and with Lizzie. I have to"

"Who knows maybe everything will be okay" Cat whispered as she stared at Lizzie. Maybe everything will be okay. We sat there in the silence, and my eyelids began to grow heavy. It would be nice to get some sleep, I don't want to be tired when I finally get to see Tori. I closed my eyes and began to drift off.

"Let me see my daughter!" I heard a man's voice say.
