So someone had said they would like to see Treville's story with the guys when he adopted them. It might be a little short but it seems that neglect, abuse, and abandonment all pretty much have the same symptoms so I had to save some symptoms for Athos and Porthos.
I also want to apologize and say I messed up with the ages. I must have wrote their birthdays wrong and it should have been Aramis the oldest, Athos, Porthos, and then d'Artagnan but since I'm not gonna change everything around, we're keeping it as is.

"Thank you for coming," Mary said, walking Treville towards the back of the church. "I don't think we can keep him here much longer and no one has been back for him."
Treville just nodded, not trusting his voice to answer the Sunday School teacher as he followed her to a small classroom. "How old is he?"
"Nine. Poor boy."
"His name?"
"Aramis. I know his family and even called them but no one has answered. He won't tell me how to get to his house so I thought we could help him but after two weeks, he needs a family to love him and he can't get that here." Mary opened the door to show Treville the small boy sitting at a desk, drawing. "Aramis. This is Chief Officer Treville."
The boy looked up, smiled, and then went back to drawing. He remembered Mary telling him she would call someone to help him. "Good afternoon Officer Treville."
"Good afternoon to you, Aramis. Mind if I sit down?"
"That's up to you."
Treville pulled a small chair over to the desk and looked at the drawing. "What are you drawing?"
"Miss. Mary said to draw my family for you." Aramis set his pencil down and pushed the drawing over to Treville. "That's me and my parents."
Treville took in the drawing and his heart broke. There was a small little boy sitting on a chair with no parents in the picture. "Where are your parents?"
"Not there. They're never home and leave all the time, leaving me with a nanny or a friend."
"How does that make you feel?"
"Scared. I was always afraid they would get hurt if I wasn't there and when they get home I'm always happy to see them but they just push me aside and say they are tired and don't have time to watch television with me."
"You know what has happened these past two weeks?"
"Yeah. They left me here and I'm scared. I'm scared for them because I don't know if they are okay."
"Why didn't you tell Mary where you live?"
"Because they left me here for a reason. God says things happen for a reason so maybe there is a reason for my parents leaving me here. Maybe you were supposed to come and find me."
"Wise beyond his years," Mary said.
"Well, then Aramis. Let's get you to a home with a family that has time for you because it seems that God thought you needed a second chance."
Six months later
Treville pulled into the driveway of his house, glad to finally be home after four days of being over in the next town to help them while half their police staff came down with a sickness. He got out of his car and the front door was yanked open before he could touch it and he found himself with his arms full of a nine year old boy crying his eyes out.
"I thought you were hurt…I thought you were dead…I thought you were never going to come back to me…I was afraid I caused you too much heartache that you didn't want me no more…"
"Aramis. Aramis. Aramis. My boy, I would never get tired of you," Treville said, sitting down on the porch, not able to do much with Aramis wrapped tightly around him.
"But you could've been hurt or dead and I would not know."
Treville just hugged his son even tighter. Four months ago, he had found himself at the doorstep of the Court of Miracles Orphanage and then found himself walking out, holding Aramis's hand. This was the first time he had to leave Aramis for a long time other than eight hours and he knew this was a test. "I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere."
"But one day you will. One day you won't come back to me."
"Aramis. In my line of work I have to take that risk but I want you to know that everyday I think of you and tell myself I have to go home to my son."
"You do?" Aramis lifted his head and wiped his eyes.
"I do. I know you wanted a family with a mother and someone there for you at all times but I just had to adopt you. For some reason, I wanted you to be my son because then I knew I had a reason to come home to someone."
"So you will always try to come home to me? You won't leave me alone?"
"I will always try to come home to you. Now, it's about eight o'clock, and I believe that someone's favorite show is on."
"Really? You're going to watch ER with me?"
"I wouldn't have it any other way."
Sorry, the show ER is an American medical show but I couldn't think of anything else but that so I hope that was cool.
