Me: Hi again. So here's chapter two I hope you like it. NiGHTS can you do the disclaimer?
NiGHTS: Why me? *shrugs and doesn't want to do it*
Me: How about for a cookie? *holds out cookie*
NiGHTS: It's gonna take more then a cookie to make me-
Me: *rolls out a cookie as big as NiGHTS' head*
NiGHTS: ppgXrrb20 doesn't own me, Jackle, Reala, the nightopians or Owl.
Me: *rolls the cookie to NiGHTS*
NiGHTS: *takes big bites out of cookie*
She is back in the little forest and notices a big bush of flowers. She flys over to them and takes a sniff of a red and yellow flower with a little orange at the edge and right between the yellow and red parts. It smells very lovely. Then a thought pops into her head. 'NiGHTS' she looks about and flys above the trees, 'Where is he?' She then sees a small figure in the distance flying through several golden rings. She flys after the figure and calls out. "NiGHTS." The figure stops in midair and turns to face her.
"Oh hey." NiGHTS smiles at her, "Uh, sorry about leaving. I got caught up in flying about." He scratches his head feeling bad about leaving her at the gate.
"It's okay, as long as your sorry I'm fine."
He smiles even bigger. "Oh yeah," he bows his head, placing his right hand over his left shoulder "My name is NiGHTS, though you probably already know that." A little sweat drop appears on his head.
Starlight giggles. She bows her head slightly and moves her hands up as if she is wearing a skirt and curtsey. "It's a pleasure to meet you, NiGHTS. My name is Starlight."
"The pleasure is all mine." Starlight and NiGHTS laugh at each other for a good while. NiGHTS moves his head back up. "Come on. I'll show you around." Starlight giggles a little bit.
"Alright." NiGHTS and Starlight fly through the land together. Starlight soon sees those strange creatures with halos on there heads again. "Hey NiGHTS, what are those strange creatures?" NiGHTS looks down.
"Them? Those are Nightopians. They live here in Nightopia." NiGHTS explains. As they get closer, the nightopians smile when they see NiGHTS, but flee when they see Starlight. "Hey it's alright, she's not gonna hurt you." Starlight nods, but the scared little nightopians don't come out of their hiding spots. Starlight sighs sadly, 'I guess they don't like me.'
NiGHTS catches her sigh. "Um, why don't we head back to the Dream Gate?" He gestures back the way they came, "There are other dream worlds." Starlight nods her head and they both go back the way they came. When they get to the door Starlight flys over to the big bush of flowers and smells the little fire colored flower. It smells so sweet yet not over powering. NiGHTS flys over to her, notices how much she likes the flower. He smiles at her and takes a little sniff too. Indeed, it smells very lovely. NiGHTS looks back at Starlight and an idea pops into his head. He plucks the flower from the bush and hands it to Starlight. Starlight gives him a puzzled look. NiGHTS chuckles a bit, "It's for you, you seem to like it a lot." She smiles at him.
"Thank you." She says, she then gives him a hug. NiGHTS is a little shocked at first, but hugs her back.
"Your welcome." He chuckles a little. He ends the hug and goes back to the door. "Come on, let's go." Starlight giggles and follows him. NiGHTS then opens the door. Starlight and NiGHTS open their eyes again and they are back at the Dream Gates. Owl comes up to them, smiling.
"Hoo how good to see you back. So how was your little trip?" Owl asks curiously.
"It was great." Starlight says happily, "NiGHTS picked this for me." She shows the fire flower to Owl.
"Hoo hoo what a pretty flower. You don't see much of these anymore." Owl chirps happily, "Oh before I forget you'll need a place to stay. Am I right?"
"Yes." Starlight says.
"Well in the meantime you can stay with us." NiGHTS says.
She looks at him with a weird expression. "No NiGHTS she can't stay with us." Owl says plainly.
"Why?" He asks.
"One, our home isn't big enough for her to live with us. Two, it would be weird for her to live with two men she just met in a small home."
NiGHTS feels a little stupid about asking why. "Sorry." He feels his face blush with embarrassment.
"It's alright." Starlight says with a little blush on her face as well, trying to smile.
"Well it be best to find her place to stay as soon as possible." Owl says.
"Well there are tons of places to stay. I'm sure we could find you one, Starlight." NiGHTS says, turning his head to her.
"Thanks." She says.
"No problem." He smiles at her. Then his eyes sparkle with excitement. "Hey I think I just thought some place. Come on!" He then flys over to a door with a panel above that has a crystal theme. There is a giant castle in the background surround by beautiful crystals of different colors.
"Crystal Castle?" Owl says, "What a brilliant idea. Crystal Castle is a perfect place for her to stay."
"Well, come on!" NiGHTS says eagerly ready to go, "Let's go!" He chirps happily.
"You two go on, I'll stay here if any Visitors come." Owl then perches himself on a flat rock by the iron gates.
"Alright," NiGHTS says shrugging, "Come on let's go!" Before Starlight can say a word NiGHTS is already gone. Starlight sighs, 'Is he always like this?' she thinks. She flys up to the door and opens it.
When she opens her eyes this time she is in a whole different world. There are huge crystals everywhere. Towers of crystals reaching to the sky, tons of them spouting from the ground. The leafs on the trees and plants are made of crystals as well. Behind the door is a huge castle that looks like it is made of stone, glass and beautiful crystals. She gasps in sight of this beautiful place. She decides to look about, and sees a beautiful lake that is clear as crystal and notices all the strange creatures swimming about. She also notices a few groups of nightopians swimming in the lake and splashing about. She smiles at the sight of them playing, but one of the nightopians spots her and shrieks. All the other nightopians look up and see her and shriek as well and fly off, hiding. Starlight feels sad about the reaction, but understand why. She decides to leave and look somewhere else.
She goes back to the castle and decides to look about. It is very beautiful outside, and inside. Inside it is like a mirror maze. Even the floor looks like a mirror, being very, very polished marble showing a bit of her reflection. She even gets a bit lost wondering about. But as she leaves the castle, she flys high up to get a good view of it. Then she notices something, one of the towers of the castle has a wooden window. She flys over to the tower to get a better look at it. It has one nob on both doors. She pulls the doors open and goes inside.
It is dusty and old with wooden floorboards and white walls. There is a dark wooden canopy bed with white sheets and flowers carved into the wood. Off to the right is a white wardrobe with pink flowers next to an old wooden door. To the left is a white desk with drawers and a medium size mirror attached to it, and a full size mirror between the bed and desk. The whole place is covered in dust. Starlight coughs a few times. She runs her hand over the white desk and is amazed with how much dust there is. 'I wonder who lived here.' Starlight thinks looking over the whole room again. "It doesn't look like anyone has lived here for a couples of years." She coughs a few more times. "Wait if no one lives here that means I can live here." She smiles ear to ear, 'Finder keepers!' She thinks, filled with so much happiness. 'Oh I should tell NiGHTS, he'll be so happy.'
Starlight flys out the tower and closes the door behind her. She then starts to look for NiGHTS by starting at the crystal lake. But NiGHTS isn't there or anywhere around the lake. She then hears a loud explosion coming from Northwest. 'Oh please don't tell me NiGHTS is over there.' Starlight thinks, worried. She quickly flys off to where the sound came from.
Shattered crystals lay on the ground, as she gets closer. She then hears another explosion. She then sees NiGHTS circling big blue and purplish bubbles and as he touches them they turn into a yellow and darker purple color. NiGHTS then launches it at another figure. She then realizes it is the red and black figure that chased her through the other world, she can't remember what NiGHTS called him. The red and black figure does the same and launches the ball at NiGHTS, but hits NiGHTS' bubble instead and causes a big and loud explosion. She covers her ears from the loud explosion. The two continue launching balls at each other nonstop. She quickly flys high up in the air and out of reach of getting hit. The red and black figure falls to the ground after getting hit by one of NiGHTS' balls while he was getting ready to launch one at NiGHTS. As the battle ends, Starlight flys back down to NiGHTS, but is stopped. She turns her head to the strange figure that is holding her wrist tightly. Her eyes widen when she sees the invisible figure once more with a huge grin. The figure quickly places her wrist behind her back and places a razor sharp tarot card underneath her chin.
"Hey Reala look at what I found." Says the figure floating closer to the two.
The red and black figure slowly gets back up.
"Jackle! Let her go!" NiGHTS shouts at him.
"NiGHTS!" She cries to him.
The red and black figure smiles at the sight. "Well, well, well, if it isn't the little brat."
"Jackle, let go of her!" NiGHTS shouts once more, getting closer to them. But Jackle just brings the card closer to her neck.
"Uh-uh-uh NiGHTS." Jackle toys with him.
Starlight panics and hits Jackle right in the rib cage with her elbow, knocking the wind right out of him and out of his grabs. She quickly flys back to NiGHTS and NiGHTS grabs her hand and flys as fast as they can. The red and black figure curses at them as Jackle(?) tries to breathe, rubbing the side Starlight elbowed him.
NiGHTS and Starlight quickly fly back to the door of the Dream Gates and shut it behind them. Both panting hard from the flight.
"What's wrong?" Asks Owl as he flys up to them.
"Jackle... Reala... fight... Jackle nearly killed Starlight." NiGHTS says panting harder than Starlight.
"Jackle! Reala! Nearly killed Starlight!" Owl says beyond worrying and darts his head to Starlight.
"Yeah..." NiGHTS says as he starts to fall to the ground.
"NiGHTS!" Starlight quickly catches him and brings him over to the fountain. Placing him on the stone fountain's rim and sits down next to him. Trying to catch her breath.
"What's this about Jackle and Reala, and you almost getting killed?" Owl squeaks, wanting answers.
"NiGHTS was fighting Reala... I think and Jackle threaten to cut my throat." Starlight answers him, catching her breath.
"Oh my!" Owl says flapping his wing about panicking.
"But we're fine..." She says. But Owl doesn't hear her as he is in a panic mode and ranting.
She then cups her hands together and dips them in to the fountain water and takes a sip. Feeling a bit refreshed, she then turns her head back to NiGHTS. He is still catching his breath. She cups her hands again and dips them into the fountain again. She raises her hands to NiGHTS and offers him a sip. NiGHTS looks over to her with her hands cups together. She mentions him to take a sip. NiGHTS sighs a little, but Starlight either doesn't notice it or ignores it. NiGHTS drinks the water from her hands.
"Thanks" NiGHTS says feeling a bit better, "Are you all right?" He asks.
"Yeah" She says smiling, "Are you?"
"Yep, tired but fine." He says, watching Owl still in panic mode.
"Oh, I found a place for me to stay." She says smiling, "It's in crystal castle."
"That's great." NiGHTS says grinning.
"Indeed that is great." Owl says, calm downed and flapping in front of them.
"Well I think it's best if I go rest in my new home." Starlight says, getting back up.
"Good idea, I need to rest for a while from that battle with Reala." NiGHTS says, also getting back up.
Starlight flys back over to the door.
"Goodnight NiGHTS." Starlight says before opening the door.
"Goodnight." He says flying over to his and Owl's home.
She goes through and quickly flys over to her new home, before Reala or Jackle can see her. She opens the window shutters and closes them behind. Floating over to her new bed, she dusts off the billows and blankets and slides herself into bed, underneath the covers. Letting sleep take over.
