Bruce finally awoke from his sleep. He turns his head towards his big windows finding it to be dark outside. "Nighttime, I must have slept throughout the day." He slowly gets up to a upright position. 'Odd.' He moves around side to side. Lifting his arms above his head. "No pain at all." 'I have never felt this good before actually. My body feels amazing. Jumping out of bed he beings to do full stretches. A knock came from his door.
"Yes come in."
"Master Bruce how are you feeling tonight?" Alfred his butler/ father figure spoke. Bruce turn towards him. "Better, much better Alfred. In fact I am about to get ready to go out on pat…" Before Bruce can finish his sentence his emergency transmitter went off at that moment.
"Superman to Batman over"
"Batman here."
"Batman we need your aid, over. I know you must be resting from your injuries from the night before, I just need to know if you can make it?"
"Copy Superman I will leave as soon as possible, Batman out." Bruce turn towards Alfred "Alfred have Dick and Damien patrol the city while I'm gone." With that being said Bruce quickly leaves his room then headed down the hall towards a Grandfather clock. That is where the entrance to the Batcave is located.
"Master Bruce what did Superman mean by "you were injured?"
"It was nothing to get yourself concern about Alfred. I feel much better tonight."
"If you say so Master Bruce. I will inform Master Dick and Master Damien to take up tonight shifts."
"Good thank you Alfred."
In The City Of Metropolis (Batman P.O.V)
When Batman finally showed up to Metropolis, he quickly jumps out his jet landing on top of the Daily Planet's roof. He looks around towards to ground below him. There he see all of the Justice League engaging in battle with Darkseid's Parademons. His eyes quickly scan for find Diana he needs to know that she is okay. He finds her fighting a group of parademons, his heart beat quickens. He let out a low growl when he witness one parademon grabbing her from behind then four other parademons were advancing towards her. 'NO' his eyes became wide with anger, without thinking twice he jumps off the roof of the building.
20 Min Before (Wonder Woman P.O.V)
The watchtower emergency sirens went off when I was in the middle of a training exercise. "Everyone I have received a disturbance at Metropolis. Alpha team one, we'll go first" Superman spoke over the intercom speakers. "Time to go to work" I said running to my room to change into my outfit. My mind went to Bruce. "Bruce." 'No I can't be thinking of him right now. I will check up on him after the mission is complete'. Wonder Woman quickly dressed in her uniform then starting to make her way toward the teleporter, she notices the others were already there. We all stepped on the teleporting pad, while Superman was typing in the coordinates of the location of the disturbance. Superman quickly joins us "Okay be ready in 3,2,1." The league and I were inside the city of Metropolis in no time. It took us seconds to realize who was behind the attack.
"Darkseid." Superman went straight for him. Before we can even catch up to Superman, Darkseid's parademons came out like a swarm of bees.
"Hawkgirl, Green Lantern try to defend my and Flash's backs while we try to push on forward and try to get to Superman. J'ohn go on and see if you can help Superman anyway you can until we arrive". I spoke before I knew it Darkseid parademons were everywhere. I felt myself getting a bit exhausted. I was currently fighting off four parademons until one manages to surprise me by grabbing me from behind. The four parademons that I had been currently fighting moved forward to attack me. I quickly looked around and notice Hawkgirl and Green Lantern were in a fight of their very own, Flash currently was busy taking out rows of parademons. 'Damn. I need to think of something fast'.
But before any of the four parademons could touch me a black flash came down from above me smashing all four parademons to the ground in lighting speed. The impact was so great and powerful that it also thrown off the rest of the parademons around me even knocking the me and the parademon behind me down. I closed my eyes do to a huge amount of dust in the air. After the dust subsided I open my eyes to see who was the person that somehow saved me.
"Are you alright Wonder Woman?" The black shadow spoke while helping me up to my feet. My eyes widen in shock.
"Bru… Aha I mean Batman!?" My eyes couldn't believe it my beloved was standing right in front of my very eyes.
"Batman?" the other members voiced through the communicator.
"Batman, why are you here?" John spoke. With no emotion on his face or voice Batman spoke.
"Superman has informed me about the battle before I could start my patrol." Batman stood completely straight as if he was never injured the night before.
"How are you feeling?" GL spoke.
"I feel perfectly fi…." Batman froze in mid-sentence. This put all the members on edge.
"Batman?" Hawkgirl spoke.
In a deep serious tone Batman spoke "Move out of the way now" Right after he spoke a big boom was heard we quickly listen to Batman's order. Seconds later Darkseid and Superman came crashing down to the ground. Everyone leapt into action.
"Stay here Batman" GL and Flash spoke. "We will try to help Superman" I turned to look at him, I made eye contact with him. He looked serious for a moment but he quickly flashed me a smile, a small nod to show me he understands. 'Stay here Bruce please you are already badly injured, you don't have to be in this fight. ' I thought to myself sadly.
BATMAN'S POV
I watched from the shadows as the others fight with Darkseid and his parademons. I notice right away all of them were slowly getting a bit tried. My eyes looked for Wonder Woman, she was doing okay but she too started to slow down a bit. I quickly looked for Superman, but he too looked like he use extremely large amount of energy fighting Darkseid. I witness Darkseid punching Superman with so much force that Superman went through a nearby buildings wall.
"Superman!" Wonder woman yelled out.
Darkseid turns his head away from the hole where Superman went through then started to make his way toward Diana. "Now it is time to finish you off one by one, starting with the ladies first." My mind went haywire; he dared to threaten my woman. I growled out in anger, I somehow got in between Wonder Woman and Darkseid.
"Well, well, well Batman what a pleasant surprise that you are here". Darkseid chuckled.
"Don't you lay one hand on her." I spoke with a menacing tone.
Darkseid was taken back from the menacing aura he felt coming from Batman. "Oh really, you the Batman, a human hahaha don't make me laugh." Darkseid smirked and cracked his knuckles. "Don't matter to me, I'll just kill you in front of the Amazon. Then kill her than the rest of your team as well" Darkseid spoke. All of a sudden a burst of anger swept through me. Grinding my teeth trying to control this overwhelming anger at bay. "We will see about that Darkseid." I growled. With that said Darkseid went for the attack. Once I saw Darkseid coming at me, I quickly pushed Wonder Woman out of the way. I to ran forward to meet Darkseid's attack halfway.
"BATMAN NO!" the voices of the league could be heard.
I saw a smile form on Darksieds face, and for some strange feeling it pissed me more off. 'He's happy for trying to hurt my woman' I thought and with that thought inside my head I made the first attack. My fist landed right underneath his jaw. I moved so quickly that I ended up landing more punches to his face. I somehow felt myself gaining power with each punch I land.
Darkseid jumps back a few feet away his face slowly started too swell. He was extremely surprise to see his own blood on his own hands. Instead of my own blood. His rage multiplies. "You are going to DIE." He came running full force right at me. He tackled me through a brick wall. 'Strange the impact didn't hurt at all' I quickly thought. I was distracted for a few seconds due to the new information that I have just learned. It was all that Darkseid needed to get me. He grab a hold on me throwing me back out the whole of the building we just made. Darkseid laughed when he saw me take a hard impact with the street on the other side of the building. I was in a daze like state but quickly got out of it when I saw Darkseid running towards me. Darkseid lava power forming from his hands. A smile on his face my eyes widen. 'Shit. I can't move' within seconds Darkseid hit came in contact with my chest. Throwing me back inside a new building.
"BATMAN!" I heard Wonder Woman screaming my name. I felt like passing out from exhaustion, 'I guess my body still needed rest'. I tried hard to open my eyes. Right in front of me stands Darkseid the smile still on his face. He looked shocked for a second. "Interesting that blow should have killed you human. No matter the issue I'll take care of you, haha time to put the bat out of his misery" Darkseid summon in his energy. 'This is not good' I thought to myself. My eyes went to my "teammates", all of them looked beaten. But they all are trying to make their way towards me. I bite down on my lip when a sudden pain waved through me. I thought it went unnoticed due to the others not seeing it but she did. My eyes landed on Wonder Woman's face she was covered in ash, a cut above her cheek. Her eyes were big and on the verge of tears. That's is when I notice she was trying to get to me.
Darkseid notices that Batman's attention was else where he turns towards the direction where Batman was turn towards. There his eyes landed on Wonder Woman, Darkseid witness her trying to make her way towards them. He chuckles "how pathetic no matter I'll deal with her after I am done killing you, Batman" Darkseid spoke. Batman looks towards Darkseid his eyes widen. 'No Diana, no, no, no, No, NO, NO'"NOOO!" My mind couldn't register anything around me. Only thing that I could think of was her, then a image of Diana screaming in agony from pain came into my mind. If I don't do anything that might happen to her. 'NO that won't happen not when I'm here' a large amount of rage went through him that finally broke his sense of control.
No Ones POV
"Nooooooooo! AHA!" Batman screamed out in raged. He began to lift himself from the rubble.
"No! It's impossible. You are a human all your bones should have been broken"! Darkseid yell angrily. "But no matter I'll break you, and your teammates, Batman". That did the trick for Batman his rage finally won over. Batman screamed out grabbing his head. The sound of ripping could be heard. Seeing that Batman was now hunched over in what seem to be pain Darkseid took his chance. "To easy" running full force at Batman he landed a clean punch to Batman's stomach. That impact was so great it knocked Batman more into the building. For the League it has seem that time has stopped for them. Wonder Woman stood in complete shock.
'Hahahaha" Darkseid laughed like a mad man. "Now who wants to go next?" Darkseid turn towards the hole of the building that he has punched Batman through. "Now that should have done the job. Now it is time for you Wonder Woman." But before he can even step towards her, a howl broke through the night. "What the hell?" Just then Darkseid commanded two of his parademons to investigate the hole where Batman went through. The League was still in total shock Superman went back to fighting but more faster and stronger with his punches. Also Flash seemed to be going twice his normal speed. Green Lantern and Hawkgirl are knocking out even more parademons now. While John distracts all the parademons from attacking Wonder Woman, where he notice that she was out of it.
Wonder Woman just felt extremely numb 'I couldn't save him. Even though he was a couple of feet away from me. The League somehow regrouped back too Wonder Woman.
"Superman we have to see if Batman is alright" J'ohn spoke. He looks towards Wonder Woman he sense that she is very upset 'Possibly for Batman?'
'Diana are you alright' J'ohn spoke to her through his mind. Hearing J'ohn voice inside her mind brought her back to reality. Before she could reply to J'ohn, two of the Parademon that Darkseid has sent into the hole where Batman went through squealed in pain. Darkseid smile quickly left his face. "What"? he turns back towards the hole and there he can see ice blue eyes staring right back at him. He was taken back for a split second.
"Batman? Ha you still want to play huh. Well come on let's play." Darkseid spoke getting into a fight stance. A deep growl was heard as Batman responses Darkseid's lava plasma rays were now coming out of his hands once again. "This time I'll MAKE SURE I KILL YOU!" Darkseid yelled while charging into the hole. Seconds later Darkseid was seen thrown out of the hole back into the streets. All the Parademons stop fighting the league once they have sense their ruler in trouble. The league was surprise to see Darkseid so easily thrown towards the other side of the street.
"AHA what the" Darkseid yelled rubbing his jaw.
A howl was heard again. Then what happens next shocked the Justice League and Darkseid, because right in front of them stood a 10 ft tall Midnight black furred werewolf. Everyone stood completely still no believing it. Wonder Woman's eyes widen the werewolf was extremely well built, it also had very long razor sharp claws, it was showing off its 9 inch pearl white K9s.
"Batman?" she spoke softly but everyone heard what she has said. The beast turn his head towards her. Their eyes locked ice blue eyes meets baby blue eyes 'Bruce!' the beast eyes seem to have looked at her with such longing. Before she can step forward of say anything, Darkseid took this opportunity to attack the creature "AHA" Darkseid roared out.
