Ren sat across from his sister, silence had long ago fallen over them as she looked open the sleeping girl on the couch. It had taken some time for her brother to explain the situation to her, and even then, she wasn't sure she quite grasped the entirety of the situation. On the other hand, she wasn't entirely certain that Ren grasped the severity of his actions either, or the consequences that would come to be a result of said actions. "I'm still not a hundred percent sure kidnapping her was the smartest thing to do, especially with her mother not but ten feet away from you."

"She would have locked her up,"

"...she's dying...isn't that what you told me?" Jun asked, "what if by taking her from the hospital, you took away the only chance she had of living longer, what if they could have found a cure?"

"What if they didn't?" Ren stood and walked towards the window that looked out over the city of Tokyo, "she has five months, she's a Shaman, and yet, she is sleeping her life away. Who knows how long she will really have left, when the times she sleeps for are undetermined."

Shaking her head, she left to her room, "I will go and speak with her mother tomorrow, so that we don't have police pounding at our door come the end of the week."

"Do whatever you want, if they come, I'll cut them down."

She stared carefully at her younger brother before turning completely around and eyeing Ren, "why are you so determined to keep this girl alive? She has nothing to do with you, and yet you are going out of your way to...provide her with a life, or something. I don't understand, Ren. You are acting...so much like-"

"Don't even think of comparing me to that lazy Asakura! I'm focused on my goal, just because I use less than kindhearted methods to attain what I want, doesn't mean I'm completely emotionless."

"No, you aren't emotionless at all, Ren. You have a beautiful heart, I only wish you were able to show it more freely, than what father allows."

"..." Ren said nothing, though his eyes still stared at his sister through the reflection of the window he'd been staring at, he watched her leave to her room before he turned and looked at the still sleeping Kagome. Her guardian spirit was sitting atop a bookshelf, watching over the girl who lay silently on his couch. "You will wake up, tomorrow, I'll give you some of my furyoku and wake you up myself if need be. Starting tomorrow," he leaned forward and lifted her into his arms before carrying her to the spare room and laying her down, "you'll be on a strict no sleeping in schedule." He told her, then left to his own room. Tomorrow would be a hard day for him, because really, it wasn't on his schedule to train someone who wasn't him.

Kagome moaned at the feel of something touching her, not so much her body, but her soul. It felt strange, like she was being pulled and pushed from the inside, sleeping sounded so nice, yet something was determined to wake her up. Opening her eyes, she was pulled out of her sleep and met with golden eyes staring curiously down at her.

"Good, I wasn't completely sure that doing that would work."

A frown marred her face as she recalled the night before, or maybe it had been longer? "Was I only asleep for one day? What did you do?"

He smirked, liking the fact that he'd done something to shock her, surprise her into admiration. He watched her eyes light up at the thought of him waking her, "I used my furyoku, pushed it inside of you and jolted you awake."

"Your furyoku...?"

"Yes, now...my sister provided you with some clothes, she picked them up earlier this morning and then left to speak with your mom. I honestly have no problem fighting a whole police brigade, but she wants to resolve this kidnapping crisis as peacefully as possible."

"Kidnapping? Oh no! I didn't even think about how this would reflect on you! I'm so sorry Ren," tears burned at her eyes, not wanting to get the first person to try and help her in trouble, she was semi surprised when a hand took hers and pulled her out of the bed.

"Get dressed, and stop worrying about things that are no longer your problem. We will take care of your mother, not in a harmful way, mind you. The Tao family can, however, be very persuasive."

Kagome nodded as he left, quickly pulling on the Chinese styled martial arts top and pants that he'd handed her, they were simple in style, buttoning up to her neck, and a soft Changquan silk material in dark blue and light blue with white stitching to wrap around the buttons and run along the cuffs of the sleeves and pants.

She walked out of the room she was using after making the bed, it felt weird to be awake, so soon after falling asleep, but she wasn't about to start complaining. "Five months..." she frowned,

"You aren't dead yet, so don't think about that. Today, you start your training!"

"But I don't want to be Shaman King,"

"Still, you can come along if you are part of the competition, if not, you would have to stay."

She nodded in understanding, and their training began.
