After the vampire ruse, (which was a distraction) John was still hungry. He saw a waffle place called Waffle Place and went in. When he got in, he was met by a troll. "Hi Karkat! John said. "I'm not Karkat. I'm his twin brother, Carrot. How do you know his name?" I don't know. Why is your hair a bright orange?" John asked Carrot. "Take a guess."
Awkward silence fill the room.
"Now scram, I need to finish my carrot-flavored waffles."
When he got to his table, his waitress Jane Crocker came to his table. "Welcome to Waffle Pancake House. May I take your order?" John was confused. "Wait, isn't this place called Waffle Place?" "No, Carrot just changed the sign." "Okay then? I'll have the chocolate chip special." Jane looked confused like John did a couple second ago."I'm sorry. We only serve cake. Is chocolate cake okay?" John looked at the waitress. He looked at his menu. He looked back at her. "What is up with this place? I'm speaking to the manager."
As John got into the manager's office, he was surprised to see a familiar face. "Dave?! I thought you were dead! Your' " Dave looked at him. "Excuse me? My name is David. And why are you here?" "I'm here to ask you about how confusing this place is!" David looked at him. "Irony. Now get out of here."
John left the Waffle Pancake place. He was still kinda depressed.
