I've been having issues uploading, this chapter has been done for a while. This website hates me. Hope you all enjoy!

Atwater pulled up at a diner not too far from the district, but far enough from the high school. He sat in the back of the diner and waited for Demetrius to arrive. 10 minutes later, Demetrius arrived and took a seat in the booth with Kevin.

"Hungry?" Atwater asked.

"Nah," Demetrius said, "can we just make this quick?"

"Why you think they're onto you?" Kevin asked.

"Nah, man, I just want to get this over with," Demetrius said, nervously bouncing his leg up and down.

Atwater noticed. "Hey kid, relax. This ain't an interrogation. Just a few follow up questions."

Demetrius nodded. "So did you talk to your cousin yet?"

"I told him I wanted to come with him next time he picked up the dope. He said he was going at the end of the week." Demetrius said.

"Where at?" Atwater asked.

"I don't know man. He ain't tell me that much." Demetrius said.

"You find out. Another question. We got a tip about something being dealt outside of the school in a blacked out SUV. You know anything about that?"

"That's the truck that passes the dope out to the kids. Usually it's LaMarcus driving. He's got a few more kids working under him for the distribution." Demetrius said.

"Usually?" Atwater said.

"Every once in a while another dude shows up. Never got a good look at him or hear his name. Big Latin guy. Don't speak, just watch from a distance."

"You think he's the one your cousin works for?" Atwater said.

Demetrius shrugged his shoulders. "I gotta go to school. We'll be in touch if I have any information for you."

Jay Halstead drove to the back lot of the school again, the same one that he had parked at the previous day. He arrived at the school a bit earlier than before; the sun was just beginning to rise and he planning on watching the activity on this back road once again. He was checking the stats of the baseball game from the previous night when he saw the same blacked out SUV pull up on the street, much closer to him than before. He grabbed a folder from the seat next to him and pretended to be filling out a form. The car slowly drove by him, and Jay could feel eyes on him, but he couldn't see the man in the car; it was too dark. When the car drove by, Jay quickly wrote down the plate number on the vehicle and texted it to the team back at the district.

"I just got a text from Halstead," Olinsky said, "plate numbers for that van we talked about earlier. Nadia, have Mouse run these and see if anything comes up."

"Yes sir," Nadia said, walking towards Mouse's workspace downstairs.

A minute or two later, Ruzek started throwing papers balls towards the trash can near his desk, missing nearly every time. Lindsay smirked while watching his struggles, and Antonio just shook his head.

"Hey Ruzek, if I can shoot this paper ball into the trash can next to Nadia's desk, you buy drinks for everyone tonight at Molly's," Antonio said.

"Fine, but if you miss, you're buying." Ruzek responded.

"Deal," Antonio tossed the paper ball from his desk, and bounced it off the desk into the trashcan. Atwater raised his hands in the shape of a field goal like a referee at a football game, and Lindsay and Antonio exchanged high fives.

"Nah man that doesn't count you didn't call bank!" Ruzek said.

"Hell yeah it does, you didn't say anything about calling bank," Antonio said, laughing. Ruzek rolled his eyes and started tapping his pen on his desk.

"Fine, enjoy drinking on a Thursday night," Ruzek said.

"You make a good point Ruzek, we'll change it to tomorrow night." Antonio said, laughing even harder than before. Ruzek threw his pen at Dawson, and Lindsay laughed and shook her head.

Just then, Mouse and Nadia came up the stairs with the information intelligence needed. Voight walked out of his office and directed his attention towards Mouse.

"What do you have for us, kid?" Voight said.

"The car is registered to a Luisa Herrera. She's 77 years old, lives in the Brighton Park area. She has no prior records, so I searched to see if she has a son, grandson, nephew, brother, cousin, godso-"

"Spit it out, Mouse," Lindsay said.

"Right sorry. She has two grandsons that we can look into the match the descriptions given by Jay and Demetrius. One is Carlos Herrera, he has possession charges and served time at county a few years ago. He's had a clean record since. Hector Herrera is the other grandson. He's got charges for possession and assault when he was a minor. Never served time for it."

"They look alike. Same hair and eye color, both have a similar build. Halstead probably couldn't identify which one it is from what he's seen," Ruzek said.

"We need to get the kid back in here tonight, see if he could identify the other guy in charge," Voight said.

"I'll shoot him a text right now," Kevin said.

"Lindsay and Dawson go see what the grandmother knows, Al get the pictures of the Herrera boys to Jay. See if he can identify the driver." Voight ordered his team. The unit split up and began their tasks.

Dawson and Lindsay drove to the old woman's house silently. Dawson was trying to find a way through the traffic that had developed in the construction zone they were stuck in. Lindsay was sitting shotgun (something she's not used to) staring at the road. Antonio would peek over at her every few seconds to see if her position changed, and it never did.

"Lindsay," Antonio said. Erin continued staring and tapping her hand rapidly on the door. "Erin" Antonio said, lightly tapping her shoulder.

"Hmm?" Erin said, looking at him.

"You okay? You seem a little off." Antonio asked

"I'm fine," Erin said, twirling a piece of her hair.

Antonio nodded. "It's okay not to be."

"That was abnormally sensitive for you. It's weird." Erin said chuckling.

"Oh come on, Lindsay, what's up?" Antonio asked, more determined to get answer this time.

"It's nothing. I'm just anxious about everything. And it's strange because I don't get anxious about work. I just want Jay back already. And the longer he's gone the more anxious I get, and the less sleep I get." Erin said, shrugging her shoulders.

"Keep it in your pants Halstead," Antonio said, mimicking Voight's tone and facial expression.

Erin rolled her eyes and smiled. "Very funny."

"But do you understand where he's coming from now?" Antonio asked.

"Yeah sure. But it doesn't change how I feel about Jay," Erin said.

"Of course it doesn't. the heart wants what it wants." Antonio said with a wink, and put the car in park.

"I can't take you or Voight seriously when you talk about emotional stuff," Erin said, playfully punching him as they walked toward the door of the house.

"Voight tried talking to you about emotions?" Antonio asked, laughing.

So the next chapter (or two?) are going to be my favorites. I've been kind of building up the story to lead to this. I'm planning on them being pretty fast paced and exciting so I should have them up very soon. Thanks for your patience and time.
