"Happy Birthday (part 1)"

"The whole world feels better when you are in love"

Things were running smoothly; Rima was "healing" and spending more time with us. She visited her parents together with Nagihiko after our talk and apparently it went ok.

Time was passing so quickly that I almost didn't notice we were heading towards December.

It was Sunday. I was at Ikuto's place, me and Utau had planned the whole day out. We were going around some clothes in Utau's bedroom.

"Sooooooo…" Utau started "You know that Ikuto's birthday is coming soon."

"Yeah… what about it?"

She threw some sweater to my face. I laughed and said:

"Yeah yeah I got it. Don't worry. You probably have a big party all planned out right?"

"hmmm yup, pretty much." She said in a singing tone.

I sighed. Ikuto didn't really like that sort of thing, but whenever Utau had something planned out, there was no refusing it.

"Just make sure you remember whose party it is ok?"

"Hm? What is that supposed to mean?"

"Well, since you were in Europe on your birthday we couldn't exactly celebrate it, so.. just make sure you won't go too overboard ok?"

"Please… when do I ever do that?"

I chuckled. All the time. I thought.

"ahhh… I'm so hungry…" Utau said. "I'll go get something ok?"

"hm" I nooded. When she left I continued folding the laundry. I sighed. "Damn Utau, why do you have so many clothes?" I was finishing the last pieces when I heard a fainted sound of someone playing the violin.

"Ikuto." I left Utau's room and followed the sound to get to where Ikuto was. Eventually the music led me to his room. It was on the 2nd floor of the house. The last door on that enormous hallway. The door was cracked open so I slowly pushed it in order to face my beloved lone wolf.

I leaned against the doorjamb, crossing my arms. He was dazzling when playing the violin, but with the sunset light breaking thru the opened window, hitting him so beautifully, listening to that lonesome melody, a tear stubbornly fell slowly down my cheeks.

Ikuto…I want to hug you. You're still that lost kid from all those years ago.

The melody stopped and Ikuto placed the violin on the table by his side. He slowly turned, and when his eyes met mine he gave me the heart melting smile I love and said:

"Yo."

I chuckled and smiled walking towards him.

"Yo." I greeted. I hugged him. He noticed my wet cheeks and stoked them worried.

"Amu…why are you crying?"

I buried my face on his chest so that he wouldn't see me blushing.

"It's nothing" I said.

"Nothing my ass. C'mon tell me."He replied. I remained in silence. "hmpf… don't tell me you were touched by the beautiful me."

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?! YOU IDI—!"

Ikuto's lips were softly pressing mine. Then he grabbed my face with both his hands, squeezing my checks. "Tell me." He demanded.

Once again, I found myself lost on his deep blue eyes. The fuzzy sunset light was hitting him again, and I unconsciously said in a whisper:

"You're beautiful."

Ikuto's eyes went wide open and a second later –realizing what I said- I felt my checks burning and I hysterically said stumbling thru my words:

"I-I…I didn't.. mean to say that..Th-That was not what I meant YOU HEAR?! I-I…" I was trying my best to free myself from Ikuto's arms; but his grip was strong and I realized my escape was impossible.

"Pfft hahahahaha" Ikuto laughed.

I was felling so embarrassed and troubled. I frowned and pouted.

"You idiot." I said.

"Hah.. Why… are you sulking now? My, my... what a spoiled little kid I have here."

I opened my mouth to protest angrily, but Ikuto kissed the tip of my nose-causing me to blush even more-and then rested his forehead on mine.

"I love you."

"S—Shut up."

He chuckled.

"You're still lonely. Just like back when we met."

"Huh?... I don't feel lonely though?" he stated.

"Hm." Liar.

"What? You don't believe me?" He sighed, then grabbed my hand and kissed the bracelet he gave me. My heart skipped a beat when he looked me in the eyes and said: "Let this be my promise to you."

"Huh?"

"We are connected by this." He glanced at the bracelet. "Because you use that bracelet I know you are mine."

"I'm your-?!" I started, but he interrupted.

"AND… for me, knowing that, is the greatest of happiness. When I'm with you, I don't feel lonely at all."

We gazed at each other for a while.

"You can be really lame sometimes you know that?" I said ironically. He slightly blushed. Even though what he said really touched me I had to take on this chance of making fun of him.

"Hmpf. Fine, don't believe me then."

"Haha now who's sulking? Haha.. see ? Even you can be tamed sometimes. I can't let you be the one to mock me all the time." I said, entertained by his reaction.

"I'll show you..."he said angrily.

"huh?-!"

Ikuto kissed me intensely and passionately. I felt he was pushing me, leading me somewhere, but I could only focus on the kiss. I could barely breathe.

"Iku—!" Damn... what is with this kiss?! I shouldn't have said anything about earlier. He's taking his revenge on … I'm is he always like this?

Then I finally noticed where he was so desperately leading me to. I bumped into something. What? But that didn't make him stop. He pushed me down and made me lay on his bed.

Of course! I thought. ARG DAMN! I can't let him win. (SN/ It's not a game ofc, but you guys understand what I mean right?) There was only that time on the meadow when I actually got Ikuto; but he warned me I should do that anymore (SN/ referring to chapter 15)… ARRRRRG what can I do then?

There was some kind of pressure starting at my stomach; I struggled to get away even though I knew he wouldn't go any further than kissing. That's a pity… … …WHAT?! What did I just think? What? NO.. nonononononono…

I could feel his body pressing mine against the bed. I had to do something.

Oh God... I'll regret this. Even thought it took all my strength I managed to make him roll to the side and switched position with him. I was now on the top of him.

Damn... I should just give in and let him have his revenge... but then UGH I get so angry thinking he'd be successful on making me feel embarrassed once again. I opened my tired eyes on a short "breathing break" and noticed Ikuto was slightly blushing. Oh.. this isn't good. But I can't stop until he does. Or... rather... maybe I don't want to?

My cheeks were burning. Neither of us was giving in. Ikuto's arms were surrounding my waist but he wasn't pushing me against him.

How long has it been? I chuckled at my thought, and with that Ikuto managed to win his original position again. And our stupid competition was over. We were both out of breath. My lips were burning. I slowly opened my eyes and noticed Ikuto was smirking.

"You bastard." I said still puffy. He chuckled.

"What an intense girlfriend I have."

"Y-you started." I blushed.

"True. I'm a sneaky wild cat." And he slightly bit the tip of my nose. I blushed hard and looked the other way.

"Tsk. Always playing cool, but I bet your heart is beating as fast as mine."

"Hmpf…" He sighed falling on his back to my side. He crossed his arms behind his head facing the ceiling. "That might be true."

My heart skipped a beat. He confessed.

"But, by the way things were going, you seem to have enjoyed our little game quite a lot."

I sighed. "Here comes the jerk again." Even thought that is true. I was about to get up when he suddenly got on top of me again. "W-what?" I asked, blushing in surprise.

Ikuto looked serious. He sighed.

"What am I to do with you?"

"Huh?" I was confused.

"Never mind." His face was getting closer again and I closed my eyes preceding a kiss.

"AMU!" I heard Utau calling. I opened my eyes and pushed Ikuto away, causing him to fall off the bed.

"Oh… I'm sorry. Are you ok?" I kneeled before him.

"Ouch. It hurts."

"H-Huh?! Where?"

"Here." He pulled my arm and hugged me tightly against his chest and kissed my neck. I blushed and pushed him away.

"You Idiot!" I got up leaving him on the floor and left his room, closing the door behind me.

"Damn it. Why do I have to have such a stupid boyfriend? First he sexually harasses me, then gets all cute although it doesn't last long because what he really loves is to make fun of me, but I don't hate it." I was angrily walking on the hallway "ARRRG IDIOT!"

"Who is?" Utau said from behind me. I jumped in surprise.

"God... it's you." She lifted one eyebrow, probably confused.

"Why are you so red?"

"Huh?"

"Yeah." She pointed to a mirror hanging on the wall to her left. My eyes went wide-open noticing my extremely blushed face. Then I remembered.

"It can't be…" I whispered to myself while holding my pink hair up. Yup. It was there. I froze in shock, while Utau chuckled.

"Hah... is that a hickey?"

"That bastard. I'm going to kill him." I furiously walked back to his room.

"Ah..Amu.. what are you."

I opened his door and walked inside. My eyes searched for him but he wasn't there.

"Ah.. Amu there's a note." I looked at Utau and followed her to Ikuto's bed. Utau read the note out loud: "«I love you » he says... and he added a heart in the end."I froze again.

"ARRRRG! I HATE YOU!" I yelled throwing my head back with both my hands covering my face. I sighed frustrated. "Why is it that his balcony had to have stairs to garden?" I sighed again.

"There, there." Utau patted my back. "He'll come back…eventually."

"You have such a wonderful brother." I said smiling sarcastically.

"Hah… Indeed, everyday is like I'm living inside a rainbow."

We remained in silence for a while.

"..what kind of comparison is that?" I asked. And we both laughed.

****Time Skip****

After we finished Utau's never-ending clothing collection, we went to the kitchen to have some soda while discussing Ikuto's Birthday party details.

"I don't know. He'll snap if you invite that many people." I said.

"Well, that might be true but, this party needs to be a success, and this mansion have plenty of room to o have about 100 people coming over." I sighed, Utau was obviously not getting my point. "Fine, I'll cut on the guests. Now... Oh that's right, what will you get him as a present?"

"Hum... I'm not sure yet." I blushed.

"It's ok. You still have time." And she faced the planner again.

"Yeah. What about you?"

"Hi-mi-tsu." (SN/ Means secret.) She said without adverting her eyes from the planner.

I raised an eyebrow. Hm… I wonder what it is.

****Time skip****

"Before you go, Amu… Here." Utau handed me a small bandage.

"Thanks." I said sighing over the memories of what happened today. Ikuto really likes to get on my nerves He's so messed up sometimes…

"Sorry about him." She sighed.

"It's fine. I can deal with him" I said clenching my fists. I'll take him on a 1st class trip to the Moon.

Utau smiled. "I know. Thank you." I looked at her confused.

"You brothers sometimes are really confusing."

"Haha. Must be some sort of weird family heredity." She hugged me and said: "I'm thanking you because somehow, Ikuto has become more himself since you came into the picture."

I looked at her from the corner of my eye and smiled saying: "You're welcome."

I left the Tsukiyomi's mansion and headed home.

What a day. I thought. That idiotic boyfriend of mine... he's so gonna get it. I sighed. I hope mom and dad will believe I just injured myself. I stroked the bandage with my fingers. Then I placed two fingers over my mouth, blushing while remembering the kiss. ARRG… I'm so stupid. Even though we kissed so many times already I still get just as nervous and as happy like the first time he ...assaulted me. Ughh…

I hear a fainted cry coming from a bush at my right.

"What?..." I got close to it and some yellow eyes peeked from the bush. "Aww.. it's a kitten…Come here. I won't hurt you." I reached out for him. He was about the size of my face, with bluish fur. He leaned his head against my hand and lick it. He started purring. "Haha you're cute. Haha…. OH! You could be…"
