IMPORTANT please read!: Ok pppl! I just noticed something very embarrassing. The timeline on this story is sooo irregular. I'm so sorry. When I started the story Amu had to transfer in the MIDDLE of the semester but... well… as you can see... it was just Ikuto's birthday, and they have been going out for at least 2 months… plus their ages… oh god… I messed it up, Amu and Ikuto have almost 2 year age difference but they are on the same grade because Ikuto entered school a year later than usual…I made a mistake… *bows* GOMENASAI! Anyways, Here's a new chappie, Review\Comment! I love reviews!
"Worry"
"Idiot"
The morning was pretty boring. I sighed every 15 minutes. I stared at the tv not actually watching anything.
"What is it?" My mom asked placing the plates on the table. I grabbed a pancake and stuffed it on my mouth. I shrugged and my mom raised one eyebrow. "Tell me." She demanded, placing her hands on her hips. My father glanced up from the journal. Even Ami stared at me.
"Ugh people… it's really nothing. My boyfriend's been acting strange, that's all."
"What?" my mom took a sit on the free chair beside me. "Did something happen?"
"Did you argue?" My father asked.
"Did he finally notice you're not good enough for him?" Ami giggled. I throw her a glare. "What? Gee, I'm just kidding." And she turned her attention to the cartoons again.
I sighed.
"Nothing happened… I think… But yesterday he started to act all strange…" I frowned my eyebrows. "Well, anyways, I hope he talks to me soon. I'm leaving." I jumped off my seat, kissed my mom on the cheek and blow my father another. "Bye."
I walk outside the house and pout because Ikuto wasn't there. I sighed again.
"How boring." I lift my hand to the level of my eyes and stare at the bracelet swinging on my wrist. "You idiot." I say and then started to walk.
Getting to school I greeted Utau and the rest of the group. I noticed Rima and Nagi were holding hands, I smiled at her and she slightly blushed and looked away. I looked for Ikuto but the guy was nowhere to be see.
"Where is Ikuto? " I asked Utau.
"I don't know." She shrugged. Kukai came behind her and enveloped an arm on her waist. "He said he had something to do and left early in the morning."
"What? Did you guys fight or something?" Kukai asked with a miscellaneous smile.
"Fight? Because of what?" Yaya asked with tary eyes. What a touchy girl.
"We didn't fight." I said quickly.
"Of course you didn't." Rima said from behind me. Nagi came to my side. "When you two disappeared the other night you were so lovey dovey." I blushed and stared at the ground.
"Haha, not to mention the following morning…right Hinamori?" Kukai said teasingly. I looked up and glared at him. My cheeks were burning.
"Oh!" Yaya squealed, her eyes widened and she covered her mouth with her hands. I could see Kairi flush a slight red tone on his cheeks when he cleaned his throat. Rima sighed and Nagi laughed shyly.
"Nothing happened." I finally managed to defend myself.
"Then maybe that's why he's in such a mad mood." Kukai said, Utau smacked his arm and he complained. She glared back. "What? It was just a joke."
"Wait, Ikuto is in a bad mood?" I quickly asked forgetting all previous jokes. Kukai shrugged.
"I bumped into him on my way to school and he looked pretty gloomy." He scratched the back on his head.
"Hm… he looked normal this morning though." Utau mumbled.
I sighed.
"Well either way. The bell's about ring, let's go."
"Yeah, well then, see you guys at lunch."Yaya said. "Let's go! She wrapped her right arm on Kairi's, causing him to blush, and pulled Nagi away from Rima. The three where on the same class.
"Off we go." Kukai winked at me and left with Utau.
I sighed. "Let's go Rima." The petite girl nodded next to me and followed my steps towards the classroom.
I really wasn't paying attention to the class. I kept sighing and looking out the window thinking about Ikuto.
"Don't worry much." Rima whispered without looking at me. I blinked a few times.
"About what?" I asked. She rolled her eyes.
"Ikuto. Isn't that what's bothering you?"
"O-oh…" I simply said and sighed again.
"He really likes you." I smiled and chuckled. "What?" She asked obviously bothered, she was slightly blushing.
"I know, thanks." I said.
"No... I mean he really likes you." I blinked. "Even though I was most of time wandering around I still observed them, the group, carefully, and I've been with them for long enough to can tell you for sure that Ikuto never looked at any girl."
I raised one eyebrow. "Not one?"
She shook her head. "Nop. Before you enrolled here he didn't even show his face much. He isn't a very active person to start with, he's a lazy ass," I muffled a chuckle "so he'd sleep on a tree whenever it was lunch time and on the other breaks he'd ignore each and every fan girl."
"Hm. That's good to ear, but the fact that he's still so popular kind of bothers me." I pouted.
"Well you're lucky you didn't get beaten up to death yet." She said. I shivered.
"In the beginning I really saw my life passing thru my eyes, but now they don't really bother me."
"That is because you're always with us."
"True, you are my shinning knights." I said popping my eyebrows.
We chuckled together.
Talking to Rima made me feel less concerned, but I still worried about Ikuto.
At lunch time Rima said she was eating with her mother so I was left alone. Utau and the others were still in class and I had to wait half an hour for them so I walked around the school. When the ring sounded we all met at the canteen. We usually gather outside but it was raining. We talked about random stuff and Ikuto was still a no show.
"Hey," I started. "How exactly did you all meet?" They glanced at each other.
"Hmm…" Kukai scratched the back of his head. "Well, we all have been going to this school since before middle school. Me, Nagi and Kairi are childhood friends…"
"We were on the same class since we were 4." Kairi continued. "Then at 6 I was sorted on another class and…"
"Met me!" Yaya squealed. "And because he was soooo boring I just followed him around to cheer him up, so I eventually ended up together with Nagi and Kukai too."
Kairi rolled his eyes and mumbled 'boring' to himself. Nagi and Kukai laughed it off probably remembering something good.
"Yaya was much more of a baby before." Nagi said. Yaya fumed and pouted. "Anyways, I was familiar with Rima because our families sometimes gathered for business talk and when Rima transferred she ended up in the same class as me and Kukai. Because I knew her, I somehow made her tag along with us."
"Then…" Kukai sarted. "Not soon after Rima's arrival we noticed that whenever it was play time the kids would surround two siblings." And he smirked towards Utau making her blush."
"What? It's not like it was our fault." Utau pouted.
"Don't tell me you two were popular even when kids." I asked.
"Ooooh if they weren't." Yaya teased.
"We didn't always get along." Nagi said. I glanced at my friends.
"Shut up." I said not believing him.
"It's true." Kukai chuckled. "Utau and I were always fighting over the tiniest matters. She was a handful."
"Was not!" Utau protested. "You were rude and uncivilized." I raised one eyebrow at her comment. "Hey" She threw her hand up in the air. "I was 10 and he was always muddy from playing football or skating."
"Aha... you always used to hide behind Ikuto." Kukai snickered.
"That is irrelevant right now, it didn't even last long because you started to pick on me because I had a big appetite." She blushed. "But then again, I think it was our eating competitions that brought us closer."
"Hm, probably." Kukai smiled at her.
"Well, while the two love birds were at their childish competitions," Nagi said "The rest of us –Ikuto included most of times just tagging along-would just play, and later on, get together just to hang out. Before we knew, we were the «Harem Group»."
"Fin." Yaya throw her arms to the air with a big smile on the libs.
I clapped and laughed together with them.
"So you all know each other since you were little kids. That's wicked." I crossed my arms over the table.
"What about you?" Kukai asked taking a sip at his soda.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"He meant: how did you and Ikuto know each other." Rima's voiced sounded from behind me. Everyone greeted her. She took a sit beside Nagi throwing her blond hair behind her back.
"Hm… Well…We kind of met when we were little." I scratched my head and frowned. Everyone looked at me dumbfounded, even Kairi. "Hum…" I started to think where to start at. I sighed. "Well, Ikuto and I officially met when I ran away from home…"
All my friends heard my story very carefully, even Utau didn't know Ikuto and I had met so early on.
"Then we met again about 4 months ago. And…well, here I am…"
"Whoa… you two are destined for sure." Kukai said and Yaya nodded. I blushed.
It'd be nice.
"Seriously... that idiotic brother of mine… he could have told me." Utau crossed her arms over her chest. Kukai glared at her and adjusted his position to face Utau.
"Why? Does my girlfriend still have a brother complex?" He asked slightly pissed. Utau glared at him.
"Brother complex?" I asked.
Kairi shook his head and sighed.
"It's a long old story. A misunderstanding, so don't worry." Nagi reassured. I shrugged.
"Fine."
The day was over and Ikuto hadn't showed up or messaged anyone.
At home, I tried to call him but he didn't pick up, so I called Utau.
"Isn't he home?"
"He is," I felt a sharp pain over my heart. Why don't you call him?
"hu… he doesn't pick up."
"What? Why?" she asked.
"I don't know… kay… bye then."
"See ya"
And I turned off. Why didn't he answer my call? I sighed and lied on the bed. "What are you not telling me you idiot?"
I fell asleep to the sound of the rain.
The next morning Ikuto didn't go pick me up either, nor did he come to school and the ame on the morning after. I snapped. What's with his sudden change of act? He hasn't said a word in three days. I'm going to settle this today.
"He's not coming to school again is he?" I asked Utau.
"No, he says he caught a cold and won't let me into his room." Utau sighed together with me. "Are you sure you guys didn't fight?
"Positive, I'm telling you, after you and Kukai left Sunday morning, we stayed in his room a little longer and that was when I started to noticed his strange behavior."
"Well... it's been three days and I don't know what to do."
"Ok. I'm skipping school today." I said.
"Hm? What? You're coming to our place?"
"I am. Your brother is getting on my nerves."
"Ahaha, you go girl! Want some help?" Kukai asked clenching his fists. Utau rolled her eyes.
"No need, I can handle him just well by myself."
"You'll need this." Utau tossed me the keys to the Tsukiyomi's place.
"Thanks a bunch." I said with a smile.
…
I took a deep breath and opened the front door.
"IKUTO." I called but there was no answer. I walked up to his room and knocked on the door. Since there was no answer I opened it and my eyes searched for Ikuto. He wasn't there. I sighed. Something tickled my leg making me shiver. I looked down to see Yoru. I smiled and he meowed. I patted him. "Where did you come from?" I felt a cold breeze coming from Ikuto's room and noticed the doors to the balcony were open. I walked outside and went down to the garden.
"Ikuto!" I called again.
"What?" I jumped in surprise and turned. I sighed in relief.
"Ikuto." I said.
"What?" He smiled tiredly.
I blinked a few time. Ikuto had a laid back posture with his hands on his pockets. His hair was messy and he had serious bags under his eyes.
"Hey" He said. I frowned my eyebrows.
What?
"Hey? That's all I get?" he gave me a confused look. I sighed. "What? I haven't heard from you in three days and all I get is 'hey'? Are you out of your mind?" I punched his arm.
"Ouch. Hey…"
"Shut up. You are going to tell me what the hell is wrong with you. Right. Now." I glared at him. He sighed and was about to say something but it suddenly started to rain. We ran to his room.
"Ugh... I'm soaking wet. Stupid weather." I complained. I looked up to see my boyfriend closing the doors. When he tuned we remained in silence for a while. I crossed my arms over my chest. "Start talking." I pushed. He undressed his wet camisole tossing it to the floor.
"There is nothing to say." He said avoiding eye contact with me. I gasped incredulous.
"Oh no. There is tons. Starting by why you are acting like an idiot."
He looked up and walked towards me. He stopped a few inches away from my body. My heart skipped a beat but I managed to remain still, standing my ground. I was not going to let this matter go today. I stared into his beautiful eyes that made me dizzy.
"You're clothes." He finally said, I raised one eyebrow. "They're see thru." I widened my eyes and glanced down. He was right. Damn, I probably left my black uniform jacked at the school. I blushed and gathered all my strength to not panic. I cleared my throat.
"You are changing the subject." I said. He started to move closer, and each step he took forward I walked back.
"Am I?" He smirked. But it wasn't his usual smirk, no. This one was different like he was angry or something. I frowned.
I tripped and fell onto his bed. Ikuto leaned down, he reached for my wrists and chained them in his hand. He supported his weight on his elbows and had one leg between mine. I didn't quite get what he was trying to pull, but I didn't move. I didn't move my eyes away from his not even once. Then he did something familiar. His libs slightly touching my skin and he moved them, from my rose cheeks to my neck, just like that time on the meadow. My body shivered to his touch.
"You're pretty comfortable with the way we are now." He mumbled against my collarbone.
I blushed.
"Isn't it your doing?" I protested.
"Were you this comfortable around him?" Ikuto tossed. I blinked a few times and frowned my eyebrows.
"Him?" I repeated, he stayed in silence and looked at me with a serious expression. After a while I finally understood who he was talking about. I raised one eyebrow. "Tadase? Why bring him up out of the blue?"
"Nevermind." Ikuto said very calmly and started to free me from his hold. I felt a fuzzy felling rushing thru my veins. I pulled him to me again, he almost lost his balance. He widened his eyes obviously not expecting that at all.
"What the hell is wrong with you? You've been acting strange since Sunday, what is it?" I asked but he didn't answer. My insides started to boil. "You were never this concerned about me and Tadase before so why bring him up now?" He averted his look and I tightened my grip on his shoulders. He didn't say a word, and I exploded. I grabbed a hold of his face with my hands and pulled him down for a furious kiss. I didn't stop until he gave in and replied. I pulled out, barely, just enough to breathe. "Why are you mentioning Tadase? Are you concerned about how far we went? If that is what this is about then we just kissed, and even though we dated for two years, we never kissed as much as I kiss you, nor did I ever felt such an urge to do so like I do with you." Words were just flying out of my mouth. I desperately wanted to make things clear, even though I wasn't sure what Ikuto wanted to know. I just couldn't stop. "No, I never cuddled up with Tadase, and I'm pretty embarrassed about being like this right now so don't you ever again dare to speak of that guy's name when we are together got it? I. Love. You. Tsukiyomi Ikuto. The stupid guy who smirks at pretty much everything I do. The perverted idiot who always haves my heart skip a beat when touching me." I took a deep breath and calmed myself. "The same kid who helped me find my way home all those years ago. I was in love with you then, and I am in love with you now." Ikuto blinked a few times. "So tell me. What on Earth has been bugging you so much?"
He stared at me, shocked, and I kept him in my hold. After a while I started to feel embarrassed and felt my cheeks getting hotter, I gradually blushed redder.
"S-speak up." I said. His expression slowly changed he frowned and smiled. He fell on the top of me. "Ugh... Iku-Ikuto… you're crushing me…" I felt his body tremble. He was laughing. Then he slid a hand to my waist and inverted our position.
"Ah…" I complained. He wrapped my waist with his arms and gripped me tightly against him.
I blushed felling his warm skin thru my wet clothes. He smirked and pressed his libs against mine for a soft kiss. I didn't protest. I did miss him. It had only been three days. God I was getting addicted to him. When we parted he smiled. The smile I loved so much, that made my heart melt. I groaned and kissed him again. He was irresistible.
When we parted again he chuckled.
"Ah…" He breathed out. "I missed you."
"What? Are you back?" I asked and he grinned.
"Yup."
I sighed.
"That's a relief." I mumbled. I slid a hand thru his messy hair and looked at his tired eyes. "You look awful by the way." I breathed out. He sighed and rolled us again, he rested his forehead on mine.
"I couldn't sleep." I frowned my eyebrows at his reply. "Let's change. We're going to catch a cold if we stay in these clothes." The he stood and grabbed my hands to help me up. Then he smirked. "It's a pity though, the way you look right now is quite sexy."
I blushed.
"Shut up. It's not like I'm the only one looking like this."
"What? I'm not even wearing a shirt."
"Exactly, and as if that isn't enough you had to be wet… " and I blushed even further, he always gets the best of me. His smirk widened. I groaned. "I hate you." He laughed.
Then he walked over to his wardrobe and tossed me one of his shirts.
"Change into that."
I left to the bathroom, blow my hair dry and changed. I took a look on the mirror and laughed. His navy T-shirt was so baggy, but it sort of looked like a short dress. I shrugged and walked back to his room.
He was scrubbing his blue hair with a towel. When he turned his eyes widened and I swear I could see a light pink on his cheeks. I blinked a few times and raised one eyebrow.
"What?" I asked.
"Are you staying like that?" he asked.
"Like what?" I glanced down and blushed. "What? It looks like a dress."
"But it's not…" he mumbled. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Well… «get used to it»." I quoted, just like he had told me a few days back. "Felling the déjà vu?" He rolled his eyes and cursed. I smiled.
I felt cold so I took the freedom to jump to his bed under his warm sheets, it was better but I was still cold. Ikuto chuckled.
"What?" I asked angrily. He walked to the bed.
"Scoot." He said. I frowned and he rolled his eyes. "I'm not going to attack you don't worry." I moved away and he slid to my side under the sheets. He wrapped me up in his arms, it felt so much warmer so I snuggled up to him. "Better?" he asked, and I nodded positively. He chuckled.
"So? What exactly happened?" I asked playing with a tuck of Ikuto's hair. He took his time to answer.
"Actually…" he started. "Actually, Tadase… I met with him the other day."
I blinked and raised one eyebrow.
"What? Why?"
"He called me the other night, the night you fell asleep here…"
"And?"
He sighed.
"And he asked for us to meet, saying he had some important stuff to discuss."
"Was it important?" I asked felling impatient.
"I'm getting there." He smiled. "At first I refused but then he said it was about you."
I blinked a few times.
"What?" I asked first, what Ikuto said did worry me, but then another thought stroke me and I half dropped my eye lids. "Don't tell me that's why you didn't take me back to Utau's room that night." I snickered.
"Moving on." He rolled his eyes. "We met after I left your place." He sighed.
"And I'm guessing what he told you was the reason you didn't talk to me."
"He told me he wasn't giving up on you." Ikuto continued. I frowned. "I laughed at it first, but then he said that I shouldn't be so full of myself because you only picked me over him because I forced myself into your world, when you were sad about his betrayal. I kind of thought he might be right." He gripped his tight.
"That doesn't even sound like you." I mumbled. He smiled.
"I told him he was an idiot for thinking like that, but he challenged me saying I should give it a try and stay away for a while. I was an idiot to do so. But you, miss," He pinched my nose and smirked. "you came running to me only after 3 days and confessed so boldly and passionately." I blushed and glared at him. "Well I'm glad you did so…all my worries disappeared." He rested his forehead on mine.
I sighed.
"What? What a laugh. All this drama because of one guy? "I asked angrily. "Are you an idiot?" He chuckled. "What do you take me for? I chose you. You didn't force anything, I simply let you in. You should've talked to me in the first place."
"I know." He mumbled. "But I was worried he'd take you away." He said. I blushed. I must say I was touched, even though I was slightly angry at him for not telling me all this sooner. I sighed.
"Anything else?" I asked. He stiffened.
"Actually… what concerned me the most…" Ikuto sighed. "He said he's transferring to our school."
My eyes widened.
"What?" I asked. "Are you sure?" he nodded. "Why?" He shrugged. I groaned. "I don't care about Tadase anymore. Do not dare to ever again feel insecure about him do you hear?"
He smiled.
"Yes mam'." I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"What an idiot." He chuckled. We stayed silent for a while. I was processing everything Ikuto said and his stupid behavior over it. Then another thought stroke me. I blushed. "Hey… Rima told me that you didn't look at any other girls before I transferred…"
He raised one eyebrow.
"So?"
"So?... who did you date before?" I mumbled embarrassed. He smirked.
"Ah let me think." He stared. "There were so many…" I glared at him. He laughed and pulled me closer, then he rested his forehead on mine again. "No one." He said.
I blinked a few times.
"No one?" I repeated not believing him. He shook his head. "Then…" I grinned and he rolled his eyes.
"Yes, Amu, you are the first."
I smiled and pressed my libs against his.
"I love you." I said.
"I know." He smiled and yawned.
I chuckled.
"Sleep." I said.
"Hn… "He gripped his tight on my waist. And buried his face on my chest. "Don't go anywhere."
"I won't." I reassured running my fingers thru his hair.
His breathing slowed.
"Did he fall asleep?" I whispered.
I was left alone with my thoughts.
"What the hell made you feel so insecure?" I mumbled to my sleeping boyfriend.
Tadase is coming to our school. That's absurd, what's wrong with that bastard? Ugh... I hate him... he said all those stupid things to Ikuto… and this idiot believed him… what a girl. I chuckled. Well, he seems to be ok now… that's a relief. I was worried over something this small. I moved Ikuto's hair away from his face to take a good look at it. He looked so peaceful. I sighed.
"Don't ever leave me, idiot." I mumbled pressing my libs on my boyfriend's forehead.
"I won't." I widened my eyes. Ikuto's lips moved to draw a smile but he didn't open his eyes.
"S-sleep…" I ordered felling my cheeks burning.
He chuckled softly and soon after, he was asleep.
Weeell Tadase will make is comeback next chapter. I hate him for that… Anyways Review\Comment and I'll give you a cookie :3
