You're probably sick of waiting, and I'm tired of focusing on this one part. So I'm putting this out there and moving on to the next part of chapter 3. The rule is I'm not allowed to go back and touch this. This is official, not more changes will be made to this section of chapter 3.

Chapter Three will be a three part split (Maybe four depending on how things go).

Part One is about 3500 words, and I normally shoot for 8,000 a chapter, but all three sections of chapter 3 put together are sitting at about 20,000 without editing of the other 2 sections.

So Hey! There's more to come!

Enjoy the official chapter 3 part one of Unite!

Chapter Three

Mansion in Colorado:

Vlad woke up to emptiness, an over shrouding dome of nothing but thoughts and air. Plans set into motion smoothly and richly providing a sense of security in his soul. So often, he spent his time with a pit of despair lingering in the tightness of his chest, followed by unfaltering desires and a mind full of plots larger than life itself. But time is fleeting and there is a limited supply, not for him of course, but for his internal desires and dreams.

Vlad was a jealous man, and there was no one that could ever truly understand what he strived to hold.

Is a desire, a need, so raw, that is leaves a heart a bleeding, painful mess, worth pursuing? To Vlad, it was. Even if it meant scouring layers of hell to even brush against his goal, to touch it with fire blistered fingers.

Hope was such a strange feeling to the man. It came with their faces. A face he hated and loved at the same time.

He could never go back to being alone. He would never let himself. He had to have him. A pure, unwavering desire that could drive anyone over the edge and Vlad knew that he no longer lived for himself.

If someone could understand then maybe he could be saved, but in the entirety of the universe, there is no one who could ever hope to understand Vlad Masters.

The silver haired man made his way down the hallway to the dining hall. He sat elegantly in his chair and sipped his morning tea as he let his mind drift along.

He had to destroy them.

He had been displeased when Calamitous had told him the news of the newly formed group, although, it hadn't been much of a shock to the elder hybrid. Jimmy Neutron was an absolutely brilliant and kind boy, a quality that made Vlad nauseous. However it was a kindness that he knew would attract the younger hybrid. There was no doubt in Vlad's mind that those two had put the Nicktoons into operation. The other two would follow blindly into the fray. Vlad knew that if he wanted to destroy the little group, he would have to sever the relationship between his Daniel and James permanently. It might require a little spilt blood, but Vlad had no qualms with that. No one but Daniel, Maddie, and himself were important.

But that was the least of his concerns in that moment. There was one other, more important road block in his way in his way.

Timmy Turner's Fairies.

And not just those two. Fairies were known to the multiverse as sickeningly sweet creatures, created for the sole purpose of bringing joy to the living. Ghosts and Fairies did not mix well, and many wars had been waged between the two. Extending farther into the multiverse than any simpleton could ever fathom. Peace came between the two when the ancient time ghost, Clockwork and the Fairy general Jorgen Von Strangle served together to bring down the tyrant ghost ruler, Pariah Dark. The pact they signed banned ghosts and fairies from interacting with one another.

All fine and dandy, Vlad smirked, at least until the pact was broken by one Danny Phantom. Regardless of the boy's ignorance, the fairy council spent hours on end, trying to rectify the situation. A ghost had breached the inner sanctum. It had once again been Jorgen and Clockwork who stood before the court, able to dismiss the problem because the boy was half human, and they had been desperate.

Vlad would have to make sure, that this time, war did break out.

Because fairies were a dangerous obstacle.

Vlad grinned maliciously, he really did enjoy the sound of despairing screams.

He'd like to hear that sponge scream too. What would Daniel, with his hero complex, give him for his friends' survival?

Finishing his meal, Vlad retreated to his lab. He would tackle one obstacle at a time. The fairies would meet their demise soon enough, what was important now was the crown of fire that sat in the possession of a mad man.

Vlad silently prayed that the artifact had accepted his core extract. It had hurt to access, and it would be a nuisance to do it again.

He had debated mixing his and the boy's core extracts together, but for some reason, every time the idea came up, it left just as quickly. That and accessing the boy's core would be difficult. An unstable core could destroy a city, and wipe the ghost from existence. That wasn't a risk Vlad was willing to take.

He shivered off the thoughts of core prodding, and flipped on his new spy system. This was one of the greatest things he had ever invested in. It helped him keep an eye on everything that was his, more specifically, Danny Phantom and Maddie Fenton. But it was also good for keeping his multiversal nitwits in line.

He patiently scanned what he had missed in his restless slumber.

Vlad vowed to himself that Calamitous would suffer a wrath far worse than death. His eyes flared an unnatural, bloody red, and he growled through bared teeth, unsuccessfully trying to stifle his anger. This scenario changed his entire course of action.

He pulled out his personally modified interdimensional transporter so that he could open up a portal to the little man's lab. However, he found that his access to that universe had been cut off. In fact, he very quickly noticed that Dimsdale and Bikini Bottom were unavailable as well. Eyes widening in horror, he attempted to activate the device again and again and again, but failed.

The plan would fall apart.

Vlad squeezed his eyes shut. It looked like he'd be launching his plans sooner than expected. If the crown's power fell through, he'd need a backup plan.

Typing some figures into his computer, the figure of the Fright Knight appeared on screen, "Yes Masters?"

"How quickly can you have an army prepared?"

Fright Knights eyes narrowed in suspicion, "Why?"

"Don't question me," Vlad's eyes flashed. "How soon?"

The Knight was silent for a moment, before looking over his shoulder at an indistinguishable caped figure and nodded, "I'll need at least a week."

"You have three days." Vlad growled, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Fright Knight nodded his head, "Yes sir."

And Vlad hung up.

Fright Knight turned to the figure behind him, and fingered his sword, "Hm, it seems that you don't truly know every. Do you, Time lord."

He gestured towards the door.

The old ghost shifted into the form of a child, and smiled as he floated away. "I guess we'll just have to see. Won't we, Halloween spirit?"

Fright Knight stared at the closed door for a moment before chuckling to himself. This was going to be interesting.

Vlad, in the meantime, had taken off into the Ghost Zone to find an entrance to Retroville. Not being able to create an unexisting portal meant that the multiverse was currently in a state of instability.

The halfa never noticed the atmosphere around him shift slightly. The crown, one of the most powerful items in existence was speaking, and they all knew to listen. To the younger ghosts, the feeling was unsettling, and they took to whispering amongst themselves in a desperate attempt to reign in their bearings.

As the cloaked figure exited Pariah's Keep, he looked up into the crow infested trees and smiled, "Everything is as it should be."

Calamitous' Lair Jail Chamber:

The chill of the dank and dirty air sent a shiver through Danny's weary body. His cloudy sky blue eyes bobbed open to a rather large, darkened, dungeon like room.

"Man," he touched a rather large lump on his head from when he had fallen off the bed, "What hit me?"

His mind slowly began to process his surroundings. The first thing he noticed was the green glowing bonds that chained him to a wall across from a sturdy wooden door. It was then that's when he remembered everything, the robot, the fight, and the Plasmius Maximus. Although, he couldn't recall the Plasmius Maximus causing him to pass out before. Someone must have tampered with it and made an advanced model. Whoever this said "master" was, he was involved with Plasmius, and since there were only two groups of people that used interdimensional portals, it limited the ghost boy's kidnapper options to three.

It wasn't Crocker, Danny was certain of that. Timmy's nut case teacher had no motivation for ghosts, only fairies.

It could have possibly been Plankton. He did specialize in robots after all, but the microscopic organism went out of his way to avoid him, and Vlad for that matter. The two villians had a habit of clashing.

It certainly wasn't Vlad. If the older halfa wanted something from the younger, Danny knew for certain the fruit loop would come in person. It was just how Vlad worked.

That left Calamitous, who was the most likely candidate. Danny knew that the cheese head sometimes came to Calamitous for machines. Vlad had made it quite clear that the man, for all his faults, was still very useful in his plans. Whatever those were, Danny was still trying to put the pieces together.

"Stupid Syndicate," Danny muttered as he began to pull at his bindings, which to his displeasure, held.

It was at that moment the large wooden door swung open to reveal the short, bald scientist, standing smugly in the doorway with cart full of devices Danny couldn't make out from the angle he was bound.

"Not so stupid that it is im-im- not possible to hold the great Danny Phantom captive." Calamitous' voice rang through the dungeon, echoing across the ceiling as he made his way into the large cavernous room.

Danny glared at the tiny man in annoyance. To him Calamitous was on the same level as the Box Ghost in annoyance and talent, no scratch that, the Box Ghost could be threatening if he tried.

Not being fazed by his vulnerable position, the halfa shot off his signature cocky grin, "Figured it was you, what do you want caterpillar lip?"

Calamitous grumbled something about his mustache being just fine and then continued his talking as if Danny had been silent, "You've been out for nearly an hour boy, I didn't think I had set the wattage that high." The scientist fumbled with something in his cart, "Then again, I am human and immune to that form of electricity."

The boy's now sharp eyes narrowed, this was not good, "Does Vlad know you've stolen his invention?"

Calamitous chuckled, this teen was fascinating. He had a wit that was similar to Vlad's, but still had his innocence intact. While Neutron was nothing but a thorn in everyone's side, Plasmius had made it perfectly clear that "his Daniel" had a literally endless supply of potential, ready to be sculpted by a master's (Vlad's) hands. The teen also did not have the genius the scientist claimed to have, and Calamitous liked that in an enemy, "Ha! Stole? He gave it to me b-boy! He has very uh, special plans for you."

Danny tested the binds again, yep still holding, before deciding to play along with the mad man's game, "So what did he promise you for your part in his twisted plot?"

Calamitous snickered at the teen's question, "My main job is to take what he's created and make them b-b- improve them, besides it's not like it should matter to you." Calamitous grinned maliciously at the teen until Danny shifted uncomfortably, the metal cuffs clanking against the wall, "What should matter to you is what I'm going to do with you now that I've got you."

Danny swallowed his growing unease and raised an unimpressed eyebrow, "And what might that be, you can't even take on Spongebob on a good day." The teen stared straight into Calamitous' eyes, sending chills into the scientists very being, "How do you expect to take me on when I escape?"

It was Calamitous' turn to gulp uneasily.

"So what's his plan?"

The scientist stared disbelievingly at the teen until Danny rolled his eyes in annoyance, "Well it's pretty obvious you don't have much of a plan, so you might as well just spill what he told you so I'll go easy on you when I free myself… maybe.

"I- I'm not telling you anything!" Calamitous stuttered as he steeled his resolve.

Danny shrugged as well as he could in his binds internally swearing as the scientist seemed to regain confidence, "Why not, I know lots of villains who spout off their plans. You used to do it to, if I remember correctly."

Calamitous smirked again, the boy did this banter thing well, "I've learned from my mistakes, and besides, I don't know the details of his uh plan. I'm nothing but a piece of the uh, plot."

Danny's eyes narrowed in surprise, "You mean he didn't tell you anything?" His stomach started fluttering in fear and he ground his teeth in order to ward off sickness. "Wow," He whispered under his breath, "Whatever he's planning must be big."

Calamitous was feeling emotionally drained as he watched the teen loose himself in thoughts. Imagine the power the teen could produce, speaking of which, it was time to get back on task, "You're quite per-per- observant boy… Now, it's time to let me see your gh- gh- uh Phantom."

Danny snapped out of him thoughts abruptly, "Why do you want me in ghost form?"

"Mrahaha, you'll see boy," Calamitous pulled out the Plasmius Maximus. "You recognize this, Phantom?" Danny flinched away as it was shoved, dangling into his face. "Good, then you know it's an in-device of Vlad's that removes a halfa's powers for a desired amount of time. You now also know that he's given it to me to remodel, and that it can also force a halfa into their ghost state as well."

Danny gulped nervously and shut his eyes tight as he waited for Calamitous to stick him.

When the barbs touched him, he screamed and his ghost was pulled to the forefront of his mind.

Gasping for breath, the teens glowing green eyes glared up at Calamitous, "My friends will come, and when they do, you'll wish you had never messed with me."

The man sneered at the teen, "But how can you be sure they're even coming for you? For all you kn- know they could be dead.

"No, I know their alive." Danny coughed heavily, wincing when a coppery taste filled his mouth. He spat it on the scientist's white lab coat, "You probably won't end up as lucky. If Vlad won't even tell you the plan, how can you be sure you'll even get out alive? How could you possibly trust-?"

"I don't trust him," Calamitous tried to wipe the bloody saliva off his normally pristine wardrobe, "I don't trust anyone, especially Vlad Plasmius". Surrendering to the green stain, he settled for glaring at the boy, "But with him, I receive more benefits than I could have ever dreamed of. Who would have thought that ghost and fairy energy could be used to create a mass destruction device or, Mrhmhmhmhm, interestingly powered robots. I certainly did not. I'm the technical leader of the Synidicate boy, but the one who is going to bring us to victory is him. I would rather be on Vlad Masters' good side, so I'm going to give him what he wants. You brats aren't going to stop him." He had leaned in so he was nose to nose with Danny.

The teen smiled bitterly, "No, we probably aren't" He swung his foot into the scientists face, smashing his glasses and cracking his nose, "but we'll sure as hell going to try."

Calamitous didn't say anything. He held his bloody nose angrily for a moment, before pulling a syringe from his lab coat. He growled at the teen, blood running from his nose and onto his white coat, drowning the stain in red, "Let's see how much spunk you'll have after your core's extracted."

Danny's eyes watched in horror as Calamitous forcefully brought the needle down into his chest. The pain… was nothing like he had ever felt before. His core, his life force, was being drained. Blistering his insides as his distressed body attempted preserve itself. It was eerily similar to having blood sucked straight from his heart, and well, IT HURT! The memory of the portal's green swirls danced before his eyes, wrapping themselves around his body, and blanketing him from the pain.

That familiar touch he'd been learning to accept since the accident.

"Enough!" The teen screeched, his eyes turning pure white, terrifying the scientist into stopping the extraction. And after a moment of silence, Calamitous fled the chamber, leaving the now dark haired boy to lay in the pain and numbness that encased his being.

Calamitous' lair: Outskirts:

Spongbob's eyes flew open in panic, "Did you hear that?"

"Jimmy?"

"Timmy?"

Three small figures sat huddled in a dark corner on the outskirts of a big ominous looking factory.

Jimmy focused on the machine in his hand. Yes, he had heard Danny scream, but everyone (cough Spongebob cough) would remain much calmer if he pretended he hadn't, "Hear what, Spongebob?"

"Uh," the sponge's eyes flickered around nervously, "It's nothing".

Timmy slapped him square on the back, "Don't worry Spongebob! Everything's gunna be okay!"

Jimmy tried to smile at the sight of his friends, but the apprehension in his chest turned his stomach multiple ways, "Does everyone understand the plan?"

Timmy rolled his eyes, "Yeah Neutron, get in, find Danny, skin Calamitous, get out, and," He groaned, "Phone Fusion in to finish the raid."

Jimmy grunted as he typed something into the device, "I know you don't like the idea, but letting the athorities handle this is the best course of action."

"Ha, yeah right!" Timmy gripped the handle of his Cosmo star flinger with sticky fingers, the missing weight from his Wanda backpack making him nervous. "When have we ever let adults get involved? It's not gunna end well, dude."

Jimmy turned off his recaller and slipped it into his pocket, "Look, I'm the team leader, you're just going to have to trust me on this, okay?"

The blue eyes locked for a moment before Timmy huffed, "Fine."

Jimmy let out a light breath. That could have ended badly.

"Alright then," he scanned his surroundings before taking a deep breath, "We're going in", and he blasted the head off of the nearest robot guard.

Calamitous' Lair: Hallways:

Wanda sighed in frustration a she dodged another one of Calamitous' robots. For a man who couldn't complete a sentence, he sure could build sturdy metal deathtraps.

She had yet to find her target, and was beginning to get frustrated. This lair was like a never-ending maze, and she couldn't faze through the walls like ghosts could. Fairies were not gifted with powers like that.

A few minutes earlier, she had heard the teen scream, but could only place the direction of where the voice had come from. It hurt her to hear one of her boy's hurt like that, but now she had a course she could take. She would find him.

Suddenly, a horrible dizziness and nausea overtook her. After regaining control of her unresponsive body, she flew off down the hallway at a quicker pace than before.

Something was wrong.

She had to get to Danny.

NOW!

Uh oh! Poor Danny baby!

I'll admit that Vlad's section was my favorite to write, it really helped me solidify where I'm planning to go with the ghost/fairy wars.

But yeah, I hope you enjoyed it, and I'll try to be back soon.

Don't be afraid to keep bugging me about updating, and shoot some ideas my way if you want to see something in this universe! I'm going to start replying to reviews, because if you guys are willing to write me something, then it's only right that I return the favor.

Okay, now a joke...
