This is my 50th story! It's short, but I hope you enjoy it.
Disclaimer: I do not own Descendants.
Months have passed since Jay wished Jordan free from her lamp. It was a couple days into the new school year and Jordan was not happy. Aziz managed to convince the teachers to let him make up enough assignments to let him go to the next grade. Fairy Godmother assumed Jordan was over what happened to her so she didn't bother to check if Aziz was in the same class as the once abused girl.
On the second night, Jordan awoke from a terrible nightmare by her own scream. Freddie, her roommate and closest friend, woke up the same time she did. Freddie groaned, "Another nightmare?"
Jordan didn't say anything. She only nodded her head as she tried to control her breathing. Freddie sighed as she reached over to her nightstand. "I'll text Jay and have him call you-"
"Don't." Jordan interrupted with a bit of pain in her tone. "I'm fine."
Freddie stared at her to see if the young genie would crack anymore. After a few seconds, she said, "I thought you were over it."
Jordan looked down at her blanket as a tear fell from the corner of her eye. She wiped it away angrily. "I'm fine, alright? There's no need to wake him up; I'll talk to Jay tomorrow. Good-night, Freddie."
Jordan laid back on her bed and the messed with the covers until they were at a position she liked. Closing her eyes in attempt to go to sleep, she heard Freddie ask, "Do you love Jay?"
With a sigh, Jordan repeated forcefully, "Good-night Freddie."
The next day in class their teacher had the students present their assignments. The day before they were told to find lyrics that they found interesting and change the words to reflect an event that happened to them. Jordan was the last to go and all eyes were on her.
With hesitance, she read off the paper, "'You forfeit all rights to my heart. You forfeit all rights to my bed. You can sleep with the cobras instead, with only the memories of when I were yours.'" She looked up and glared right at Aziz as she finished, "'I hope you burn in hell.'"
A couple seconds passed by and the mood was tense. Freddie finally laughed to ease the mood. "Hades sure is going to suffer when Aziz dies."
"Freddie-"
"May I be excused?" Jordan interrupted before her friend could be punished.
"Where will you be going?"
"The tourney field," she answered honestly. "They are having practice and I want to watch. I've never seen a game or watched a practice after that incident happened."
The teacher let her leave the classroom as she walked with a new spring in her step.
Practice was going great for Jay. He was in the zone the whole time, until he spotted his beloved girlfriend walking toward the field. At that time, Coach Jenkins blown the whistle for them to do a different play. Jay yelled to his coach as he started walking the bleachers, where Jordan was sitting at, "I'm taking a break!"
Jenkins almost argued with him, but saw the girl he had never seen by the field before. Instead he had the others continue on with the practice.
Jordan was sitting on the first set of seats when Jay approached her. He gave her a welcoming hug, the only kind of affection he was able to display. He pulled away from her slightly, not enough to break contact, and got on his knees with his arms wrapped around her waist and hers around his neck. The first he said was, "Are you okay?"
"Freddie told you." Jordan assumed as she tightened her hold. "Don't worry, I'm fine. I actually came here because I wanted to return something."
Jay, slightly confused, nodded his head for her to continue.
Looking deep into his eyes, she confessed, "I love you too." Before Jay could do anything, she kissed him. Jay held her closer as the kiss continued on. His teammates on the field cheered them on, though they were deaf by the love they feel for each other.
The End
