Hi ho! I'm finally updating this story! Seriously, I am losing motivation in this one. I am scrounging for ideas but none of it satisfies me. So, I am really sorry for updating late and I'll apologize in advance since this chapter will be a short one.

Chapter 5

DING DONG

"Hooo... Maki-chan's house is so big!"

"So cool!"

I-It's actually a lot bigger on the inside." A small voice added.

The two people inside the house sweatdropped at the voices outside. Nico called up Eri and asked the rest of the group to come over.

Maki tapped her senior on the shoulder. She now sports a medical mask, that Nico found in the first-aid kit by the bathroom, to hide her whiskers. Her bonnet's back on her head to hide her ears. Her tail is hidden underneath her long nightgown.

"I'm scared"

Nico squeezed her hand to calm her down and gave her a small smile.

"Ready?" She asked.

Maki nodded. Nico opened the door and saw the rest of Muse members in awe while looking at Maki's garden. Only Rin and Hanayo are not gaping since they've been here three days ago.

"Nico-chan!"

"Maki-chan!"

The said people waved back before letting them come inside the house. Once inside, Honoka and Rin gasped at how big the inside is.

"Woah... Kayo-chin's right!" Hanayo gave a small smile in return.

"Are you alright now, Maki-chan?" Kotori asked.

"Ah... about that..." Nico trailed off. She glanced back at the girl beside her. Maki had her eyes glued to ground, avoiding everyone's concerned gaze.

"Why don't you guys have a seat first?" Nico replied. The rest nodded and set their bags beside the sofa.

"How do I do this..." Nico thought. She saw seven pairs of inquiring eyes looking at her, waiting for her answer.

"Uhh..." Before Nico could say another word, Maki grabbed her hand, stopping her from saying another word. Her other hand grabbed hold of her bonnet and slowly removed it from her head. Her ears perked up in alert at the surprised gasps coming from her friends.

"Ma... Maki-chan...?" Hanayo gasped. Maki's ears stood alert upon hearing her name.

"Are those... cat-ears?" Umi asked. Maki nodded in response.

"How-"

"Waaaah! Maki-chan's so cute!" Honoka exclaimed.

"Rin thinks so too, nya!" Rin added while hugging the said girl. Honoka tried scratching the ears and earned a light purr from Maki.

"What's going on, Nico?" Eri asked as she stared at the scene in front of her. The rest of the members watched as Honoka and Rin circled Maki, checking for other changes.

"I... really have no clue..." Nico nervously laughed.

"Maki-chan's got a tail too, nya!" Rin exclaimed while lifting the red-head's nightgown. Rin holds the red tail in her hands while a flustered Maki snatched it back, her face red in embarrassment. Nico laughed nervously while the others shot questioning looks to her.

"Ah... ahahaha...?

"Since when did this happen?" Eri asked. The rest of the Muse have finally gotten over their initial shock and calmed down. Maki had also removed her medical mask to reveal her long whiskers to them. Umi managed to subdue both Honoka and Rin to stop them from bothering the red-head any longer.

"Let's see..." Nico counted her days of stay at Maki's house on her hand. "About five days ago...?"

"But we went here two days ago to drop off her homework..." Hanayo trailed as it finally dawned to her. "You mean... Back then..."

Nico nodded in response.

"B-But how did it happen?" Kotori asked.

Maki held up her notebook for everyone to read.

"No idea. It just happened five days ago."

"Is this why you've been missing classes?" Nozomi asked. And Maki gave a small nod. She found the floor very interesting as she tried to avoid everyone's eyes.

"And you've been with her since, Nicochii?"

"Err... around three days ago I guess..."

"Do you have any idea how to change her back to normal?" Umi asked.

"To be completely honest, that's the reason why I called you guys." Nico scratched her head in response.

"Well, how about a sleepover?" Honoka exclaimed. All eight eyes turned to stare at the ginger-haired girl.

"Since we got no clue about it, why not we all stay over and think about it. After all, Maki's parents wouldn't be home for a while."

"Is that okay with you, Maki-chan?" Kotori asked and received an affirmation nod from the said girl.

"But we need to go back and get our things." Eri said. After receiving an affirmation from the group, Eri and the rest of the group went back to their respective houses to grab their things, leaving Nico and Maki alone again.

"Urgh... so much for a quiet night." Nico grumbled as she set off to the kitchen to cook their meal.

Phew. Chapter 6 is underway but it's like half of a page long. If you have ideas and suggestions, please feel free to drop them in the review section or PM it to me. Promise, I don't bite! ^_^ I'm warning you guys that the next update will take long because I am running out of ideas. But I won't abandon this one.

EDIT: I forgot the most important question that I want to ask you guys. XD Do you guys want Maki as just part-cat or do you want her to fully transform into a cat? I need answers to this question 'cause I'll be basing the next chapter with the answers to this question.
