CHAPTER 7

After five minutes of explanation from both Adam and Lana, Chloe cooled down and accepted the misunderstanding.

"Sorry Adam I don't know why I went all crazy…I will talk to you later ok?" Chloe said feeling stupid for shouting at him as he was not hers to claim.

"Yeah…Bye" Adam concluded putting the phone away hoping he would never hear that side of Chloe for some time.

"Adam I'm so sorry I didn't mean…" Lana said starting a rehearsed apology

"Its ok Lana no apologies are necessary" Adam reassured her.

As long as Clark doesn't here about this… was the first thing running through his head.

"So..?" Lana held her hands out either side of her.

"So..?" Adam just copied her actions making Lana laugh.

"Are you going to take up my offer?" Lana said stroking Tyson to the horse's grunted approval.

Adam thought for a moment first thing he thought was no it's a big step to venture doing this on his own and Clark would just forbid me doing such a thing especially with Lana a person he loved which Adam was yet to grasp that topic.

But that's when Adam realized it's not Clark's decision its his own. His thoughts also drifted to Chloe and the thought of disappointing her or especially hearing her dark side again was not an option so for the first time in his life he made his own decision.

"Alright, I'll do it" he said stuffing his hands in his pockets letting out a small smile.

Lana just clapped in excitement.

"Oh Adam you are so not going to regret it after I teach you a few moves you will give John Travolta a run for his money"

"John who…?" Adam said in tilting his head to one side.

"Never mind…Just come by the mansion around 7.00pm and we will begin" Lana said as she kissed Tyson and began to walk away.

"Lana…" Adam spoke out as she slowly turned around.

"…Thank you" he concluded as he went to grooming the horse with the brush.

Lana let out a soft smile and felt a small ping of her heart as again she had to look twice to make sure it wasn't Clark she was waving goodbye to. Adam was so much like Clark in so many ways.

Mentally and Physically her naughty thoughts echoed through her mind.

She shook her head as she left the barn knowing she had to prepare for an eventful evening for tomorrow night

Adam in the meantime couldn't help but smile he had accomplished so much on his own in a matter of 20 minutes, without anyone's help or assistance. He had stood on his own two feet and made his own decisions. He was so pleased with himself but then something hit him as he realized.

What about Clark? Was the question lingering in his mind. Should he tell his brother he has arrangements to see Lana tomorrow?

What about Chloe? With the misunderstanding that took place a few moments ago should he tell Chloe about his new developments?

But Adam also realized with his own independent actions comes his own personal responsibilities also.

Clark had been constantly reminding him that the secret of his powers and Kryptonian heritage must be kept secret for the safety of himself and the people around him.

That's when he put that situation and the situation he was presently under and realized a connection. As the situation of his meeting with Lana if were revealed would hurt not only Clark but Chloe as well.

Adam for only his second time in his life then decided to make another personal decision.

The meeting with himself and Lana tomorrow would remain a secret.
