CU Student Center:

"I am so relieved this semester is almost over," Annie confessed to Naomi, dragging their iced lattes off the counter.

"So am I," added Naomi.

"Summer with Liam on his boat sound so far away," pouted Annie, taking a seat across Naomi.

"Oh please," scoffed Naomi, rolling her eyes. "You're practically on his boat every day."

"Naomi!" laughed Annie, setting down her purse.

"What?" Naomi responded. "Don't tell me you were actually serious about the whole no sex till marriage thing?"

"Yes, I am very serious," answered Annie sweetly. "It's romantic."

"It's barbaric," stated Naomi.

"It's called self-discipline," explained Annie. "Which I could use more often."

"That's true," Naomi muttered.

"And with finals out of the way," began Annie, taking out her script. "I can finally focus on the play and plan my dream wedding. At the same time." Naomi took a small bite from her fruit salad. "Of course it would lessen the stress load if Liam thought twice about helping me. He's always on his boat."

"The boat you want to be on?" Naomi egged on.

"Besides the point," hissed Annie, thinning her eyes.

"Why are you being such a Worry Wilson lately?" asked Naomi.

"Because," replied Annie definsively. "Every time my life is going perfectly normal, something always comes up."

"That is not true," Naomi responded.

"So true!" argued Annie, sliding off her seat. "Look Naomi, I am just preparing for the worse." Naomi followed behind her. "You never know what's going to happen next or who's going to show up -" A familiar face glued her feet to the ground, widened her eyes, and left her speechless.

"Annie," he muttered cunningly. The sound of his voice sent a shiver down her spine.

"Patrick?" Annie whispered.

CU Student Center:

"Annie, let's go," suggested Naomi. As much as Annie wanted to leave, she couldn't allow herself to do so. "Annie?"

"Leaving so soon?" he teased, taking a step closer to them. "And I was hoping we could chat."

"What are you doing here?" demanded Annie furiously.

"That's no way to greet an old friend is it?" he responded annoyingly.

"Friend?" Annie scoffed, trading disgusted glances with Naomi.

"He's got the old part right," added Naomi, pursing her lips.

"Oh, what the hell," he chuckled, clasping his hands together. "Everyone knows about our history. Everyone knows who we are. We're destined lovers, Annie." He took out a copy of her book and held it carefully in his hands.

"Ugh," Annie gagged. "Please."

"Besides me being you're one and only," added Patrick slowly. "I've recently been taken to the theatre program at CU." Annie gulped nervously. "You see, you inspired me -"

"Cut the crap. There's no way administration is going to allow you anywhere near the theatre hall," added Naomi. "You shouldn't be even allowed near students."

"But that's where you're wrong," sang Patrick. "I am part owner of the new show at the playhouse, which I believe, Annie, will be playing the lead role." Annie took a deep breath. "So I can do whatever the hell I please around here." Naomi gritted her teeth together. "Plus, think about the publicity both Annie and I will bring to this school."

"You sick bastard," muttered Annie.

"Yes, I am," laughed Patrick. "But you're the whore." His smiled faded.

"Just stay away from me," Annie responded, dragging Naomi away.

Dixon and Navid's Beach House:

"Are you sure you really have to go?" asked Dixon tiredly, resting his head on his hand. Dixon sunk in his bed as he gazed at her changing her clothes.

"Yes," she answered slowly, sliding her arms through her shirt. "Why?"

"Cause I don't want you to," he answered her, smiling sweetly back. "Stay."

"Dixon," Silver replied, combing her hair behind her ear. "I have a doctor's appointment in 45 minutes across town. If I don't get out of here, I never will."

"Cancel everything," Dixon playfully whispered. "You don't always have to be on the run, Silver."

"I wish it were that easy," responded Silver, pressing her lips on his. "...I would reschedule, but Dr. Brooks was really insistent that I come in today."

"Do you need me to go with you?" asked Dixon, sitting up. "I can call -"

"No," muttered Silver. "You don't have to -" She took a deep breath. "I've had this feeling since this morning. I feel like today's going to be a good day."

"Why so?" asked Dixon.

"I finished my last rounds of chemo a while back," explained Silver. "I think the news Dr. Brooks has for me is what I've been waiting for for the past year. I really think I can finally put this cancer behind me." Dixon caressed her face. "...and move on with my life."

"NYU?" muttered Dixon.

"NYU," repeated Silver. She leaned in and kissed Dixon carefully.

Offshore:

She slid his gun across the bar counter and took a seat.

"This belongs to you," Adrianna whispered carefully. Liam dropped the wet rag on the table and took the gun from the counter.

"I've been wondering where I placed this," muttered Liam, handing her a glass of water.

"You have every right to be angry with me," said Adrianna. "I overstepped my boundaries -"

"I'm not mad," Liam responded. Adrianna smiled curtly. "Can I ask you one thing, though? Why, Ade?"

"I took it from your room after I was attacked by Campbell," confessed Adrianna. "The first time." Liam felt a sense of helplessness. "Liam you did everything I could ask from a friend. You helped me fight back."

"I could've done more," explained Liam.

"I was scared," added Adrianna. "But I'm not anymore. I think that's why I returned this to you. I've held on to this gun for so long. I'm ready to put the past behind me." She took a deep breath. "I'm ready to move on with my life."

"With Navid, you mean?" asked Liam with a smile.

"It's strange what life can do to your plans, huh?" muttered Adrianna, fiddling with her hands.

"What do you mean?" asked Liam. Navid emerged from the entrance of the bar.

"I'm going on tour," explained Adrianna.

"You're going on tour?" repeated Navid, confused.

Naomi's Mansion:

"He's totally out to get me," explained Annie. "He's out to make my life miserable!"

"You should've been there, Dixon," added Naomi. "Patrick was all creepy-like, it was disgusting."

"You should've told me about this earlier," Dixon replied angrily, rolling up his sleeves.

"Where are you going?" asked Annie.

"To give him a piece of my mind," explained Dixon.

"Dixon, no!" replied Annie desperately, holding him back. "That's exactly what he wants from us. He wants us to retaliate."

"Hell yeah I'm going to retaliate," explained Dixon furiously. "He's messing with my family, you can't expect me to just sit here and do nothing."

"Yes, you have to," begged Annie.

"She's right, Dixon," added Naomi, sipping from her mug. "Nothing good is going to come out of this if you get yourself involved." Dixon sat back down beside Annie.

"So what do we do?" asked Dixon. "Do we tell mom and dad?"

"No, we don't," quickly replied Annie. "We don't say anything. Technically he hasn't done anything wrong or harmful towards me -"

"I say that's an understatement," muttered Dixon.

"Yet," finished Annie. "He hasn't hurt me yet."

"And if he does?" questioned Dixon. "I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing I could've done something to prevent it."

"Don't worry so much, Dix," assured Annie. "As long as you know what's going on...that's enough for me right now." Annie bit her lips and leaned against Dixon's chest.

"I still got your back," whispered Dixon, kissing her on her forehead.

Beverly Hills:

Ring! Ring! Ring!

"Hello?" Silver answered calmly.

"Yes, is this Erin Silver?" asked the woman over the phone.

"This is she," replied Silver, moving slowly through traffic.

"I just wanted to let you know that we have mailed you your acceptance to NYU for the Fall semester," informed the woman. Silver's face lit up like the California sun. "We can't wait for you to join our beloved campus."

"Thank you!" Silver responded in relief. "Thank you! I'm really sorry to do this, but can I call you back? I'm on my way to a doctor's appointment -"

"Of course," the woman replied. "Again, congratulations. I hope to hear from you soon."

"You will!" replied Silver. "You will not regret your decision!"

Offshore:

Adrianna quickly followed Navid to the back room of the bar.

"What does this mean for us?" asked Navid, frustrated. "Where does this leave us?"

"I'm willing to keep what we have, Navid, I am," explained Adrianna. "But this tour is so important to me -"

"Ade," Navid whispered. "I gave up Princeton for you." Adrianna suddenly felt sick to her stomach. It was as if guilt filled her lungs and suffocated her. Navid quickly realized how those few words began to affect her.

"Oh," she breathed, her eyes tearing desperately.

"Ade," Navid muttered, reaching for her. "I didn't mean it like that at all -"

"You know what," began Adrianna. "You had such grace in that moment when you gave up your dream school for me -" She wept a little harder. "But I can't believe you would use it now to make me feel guilty for trying to live my life."

"I'm not, I swear," begged Navid, taking Adrianna's hands. "I just thought we were going to settle down together, Ade. Okay, what ever happened to our fireplaces, our dogs, and our white picket fence, huh? Isn't that what we wanted?"

"Navid," Adrianna continued. "I am only 21 years old. I still want a lot of things for myself." Navid slowly backed away. "But there is not a single cell in my body that doesn't want you. Because I want you, Navid."

"But you want the tour," muttered Navid.

"Yes," answered Adrianna. "But why can't I want both? Navid, why -"

"Because you can't!" snapped Navid. "Because it can't work like that! Because we won't be together."

"I leave tonight," whispered Adrianna, taking a deep breath. "I leave tonight, Navid."

"So what about us?" asked Navid. "Ade, I gave up Princeton to be with you. For a life together."

"And I will always love you for that," Adrianna muttered. "And I'm not saying we won't have a life together. I still want a life with you, Navid. There will be time for that." She took a deep breath. "But let's get something straight. I never asked you to stop living your life. This is something I need to do for me and for Maisy. I didn't give her up so I could wipe tables for the rest of my life. I have to keep my promise to my daughter."

"Ade," Navid whispered.

"At least understand that," Adrianna spat back.

Liam's Surfboard Shop:

"Thanks, Liam," she said, placing the board against the wall. "It's perfect on the water. I have more balance on it now."

"No problem," Liam replied. "The best deserves the best."

"So do you, surf boy," Ivy laughed, checking the place out. "You should get a bigger place. This joint is whack -"

"This joint is where I come to think," defended Liam. "I like it here."

"Right," muttered Ivy. "You like working in the place where you were almost shipped off in a crate to Mexico? Sounds about right."

"It's complicated," responded Liam. "It helps me find some kind of peace. I figured I'd face my fears instead of running away -"

"Maybe that's what I'm doing in town," whispered Ivy to herself.

"What?" asked Liam.

"Nothing. Look," Ivy began, combing her hair behind her ear. "I'm sorry about what I said about you and Annie before -"

"No, it's okay," said Liam.

"No, it's not," Ivy responded. "For the past couple of months now, I've been holding everything in, because I'm afraid to feel again." She licked her lips and made her way around the table. "I've forgotten how it feels to love and be loved by someone you really care about. I forgot that was real." She turned and faced Liam. "What you and Annie have is real. I guess I just miss that."

"Raj loved you, Ivy," explained Liam. "That was real."

"But there should have been more," Ivy whispered, her voice breaking. "I deserved more." She wiped her teary eyes with her sleeve. "I thought by leaving Beverly Hills I'd figure out what's next for me. Man I was wrong."

"You needed to go, Ivy," explained Liam. "It's what was right for you at the moment."

"What now?" asked Ivy, breathing heavily.

"Maybe something different?" suggested Liam softly. "Maybe something better?"

"I just don't think that's possible," Ivy wept. "He was my person." Liam gulped. "I miss him every day. And I don't know how to do this whole grieving thing. I'm good at running away. Running away helps me forget what happened. It's what I do best."

"It's okay to miss him, Ivy," explained Liam. "It just goes to show that you had someone worthwhile in your life. It's okay to let it out. It's okay to cry."

"I don't want to," Ivy trembled. "Because if I cry, I don't think I'll ever stop." She fell into Liam's arms, covering her face.

Dixon's Studio:

"Man I am such an idiot," spat Navid, burying his face in his hands.

"I knew that," responded Dixon. "What's going on?"

"Ade told me about her tour," Navid began. "And I completely flipped on her." Dixon bit his lips. "Did you know about this?"

"Of course I knew about this, man," answered Dixon. "She's my artist. I helped her get this tour."

"Why would you do that?" asked Navid. "So your label could get credentials?"

"No! Because Ade is good, Navid," Dixon replied. "Because Ade is talented." Navid took a deep breath. "And she deserves this more than anyone I know."

"I'm sorry, man," muttered Navid. "I just don't know what to think of this."

"Be happy for her," Dixon mentioned. "When she found out about the tour and the chance to produce a new album, she came to me and the first thing she was concerned with was you." Navid looked up. "That should say something about Ade."

Beverly Hills Medical Center:

"Erin," began Dr. Brooks. "We ran a test on the blood sample you gave to us and I have good news."

"What is it doctor?" asked Silver.

"You are now cancer free," Dr. Brooks responded. "You're cancer free!"

"Oh my God!" shrieked Silver in joy. "Oh my God! This is amazing! This is the best possible news I could get! Besides getting into NYU! This is real?" Dr. Brooks nodded her head. "I can't believe it! I knew something amazing was going to happen today! Tell me this is happening?"

"Of course," Dr. Brooks added. "You will need to stop by once a month for a year for medical purposes so we could keep track of your health and make sure it doesn't come back in your system."

"Of course," agreed Silver. "So that's it?" Silver was smiling from ear to ear. "It's over. I can have a life of my own?"

"There is one more thing we found when we got your test results," explained Dr. Brooks.

"What are you talking about?" asked Silver, confused. "I thought you said the cancer was gone?"

"It is," replied Dr. Brooks.

"Then what is it?" asked Silver. "Do I have the common cold?"

"You're pregnant, Erin," explained Dr. Brooks carefully. Silver's jaw fell to her knees. The world had suddenly stopped. "I know this is big news for you. But you can talk to me about your options, Erin. You do have options."

"What?" muttered Silver in shock. "I can't be -"

"Erin?" whispered Dr. Brooks.

"I'm sorry, I can't be here right now," muttered Silver, quickly dragging her feet out the office.

Naomi's Mansion:

"Naomi Clark's, please hold," spoke Naomi into her phone. "Naomi Clark's please hold. Naomi Clark's please hold."

"What is going on in here?" asked Max from behind.

"What's going on is that I need an assistant," Naomi expressed.

"You should get one," suggested Max, folding his arms across his chest. "Your company's only getting bigger and you'll soon need to start hiring people to cover your responsibilities."

"The phones are going crazy," explained Naomi. "It's been like this all day. People want me to plan their parties!"

"Well I would hope so," Max chuckled. "Isn't that what you're all about?"

"To some extent," added Naomi. "But this is good for my career. Freaking Betty White's people dialed in an hour ago! You know what this means, Max? It means I have direction and purpose, and I did it all on my own. I am here, because of me."

"And I couldn't be more proud of you," muttered Max.

Ding Dong! Ding Dong!

"I'll get it," whispered Max, planting a soft kiss on Naomi's lips.

"And I'll get my purse," added Naomi. "Tonight is going to be all about me...and you. No work. Nothing else related!" Max made his way to the front door as Naomi reached for her purse in the kitchen.

"Can I help you?" asked Max to the older gentleman.

"Is this Naomi Clark's residence?" asked the man.

"Yes," answered Max. "We're actually headed to dinner. Can I leave her a message -"

"Max," called Naomi, heading for the front door. "Who is it? Who's here? -" Naomi gulped and stared blankly at the familiar face.

"Hello, Naomi," the man muttered.

"Do you know this man?" asked Max.

"He's my father," Naomi murmured. "He's my father."

Beverly Hills Bus Station:

"Adrianna!" called one of her bandmates. "Come on! It's getting late!"

"I'll be there in a sec," responded Adrianna, looking out into the far distance.

"He's not gonna show, baby," whispered another bandmate. "Come on inside." Adrianna walked towards the bus. "This is your life now."

"I can't believe he didn't show," breathed Adrianna in disappointment.

"Ade!" called Navid from behind. "Hold on! Ade!" Adrianna slowly turned her head over her shoulder and saw Navid running towards her.

"Navid?" she muttered. "What are you doing here?"

"I want to let you know that I support you and I support this," confessed Navid. "You were right. I overreacted. I shouldn't have asked you to give up your life for me. Instead I should have supported you -"

"It's okay," assured Adrianna, kissing Navid. "I'm okay."

"We're okay," added Navid.

"We are?" asked Adrianna.

"Yes," answered Navid sweetly. "I will wait for you Adrianna Tate-Duncan. For as long as it takes."

"What changed your mind?" asked Adrianna.

"When I realized that life without you was no life at all," answered Navid. "You have to do this for Maisy, I know that now. And I love you more now because I know."

"I love you," Adrianna whispered in his ear. "And nothing will ever change that."

Annie and Liam's Residence:

"I love you, Annie," whispered Liam.

"I love you, too," replied Annie, leaning her body against his'. "Why?" Liam chuckled as Annie sat up.

"I don't want you to ever forget it," explained Liam, kissing her lips. "I don't want you to forget this and what we have together."

"I couldn't even if I wanted to," whispered Annie.

"I learned something valuable today," mentioned Liam.

"And what was that?" asked Annie.

"To remember to appreciate what I have in my life," answered Liam. "Because I don't have a lot, but I have you." Annie smiled back sweetly. "And you're all I've ever known and that's always going to be enough for me. And I want you to know that."

"Thank you," whispered Annie, caressing his face.

Suddenly, they were interrupted by angry voices outside their lawn. Annie and Liam quickly hopped off the couch and made their way out the front door.

"What the hell is this?" spat Annie, staying close behind Liam.

"Dixon?" called Liam.

"Patrick?" yelled Annie.

Dixon and Patrick were exchanging fists and rolling all over the ground. Liam quickly separated the two and dragged Dixon away.

"Patrick, get the hell off my property before I call the police!" threatened Annie.

"Call the police!" Patrick mocked. "I'll tell them I was attacked by your brother!"

"Get the hell off my property!" screamed Annie once more. "Leave!"

"I'll be back," Patrick snapped back, slowly moving away.

"Like hell you'll be back," gritted Liam, stepping in front of Annie.

"This is not over!" Patrick promised. "You're going to regret this." Patrick slipped in his car and quickly drove away.

"I think it's time for you to leave," Liam stated strongly.

"Dixon," Annie said, tending to her brother. "Dixon?"

"Dixon, are you all right?" asked Liam.

"I'm fine," answered Dixon, wiping the blood of his lip.

"Oh my God, what happened?" asked Annie.

"I saw him waiting outside your house," explained Dixon. "He's watching you, Annie." Annie took a deep breath. "And that's not the only thing. It was him who blew up my beach house."

"We have to call the police," suggested Liam. "He's not going to stop until he gets what he wants."

"What does he want?" asked Dixon. "He has money, women, power - what else does he need?"

"He wants me," Annie muttered nervously.
