"Best for Business" Drama/Romance. Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds, AnnaLynne McCord. Series Patrick causes a rift between Liam and Annie's relationship, while Naomi fears of her father's return. Silver takes her news to an old friend, while Adrianna is homesick.

Naomi's Mansion:

"This is outrageous," muttered Naomi in exhaustion. She tucked her untidy hair behind her ear, and rested gently against the table. She crossed her legs under her silk bathrobe and sighed slowly.

"Outrageous?" repeated Max, handing her a hot mug. He pressed his tie against his chest and rubbed down his suit.

"I'm sorry," responded Naomi coldly, slipping her hand under the handle. "I meant ridiculous."

"Ridic - Naomi, this is your father we're talking about," Max carefully whispered, taking a seat next to her. He pulled his briefcase across the table and reached for his keys.

"My father, who has been absent in my life for nearly five years, decides to come back and surprise the hell out of me," hissed Naomi angrily. "And what do I do? I stupidly let him stay in my house for the past couple of weeks."

"But he's still your father, Naomi," reasoned Max, staring back at her.

"He's the reason why I'm like this, Max!" Naomi retorted, gritting her teeth. "Why I can't be normal! Why I constantly ruin every single relationship I have! Why I'm a liar! Why I'm a bitch! Why I easily get jealous! Why I meddle in people's lives! He molded me into the person I've become!" Max took a hold of her hands. "He's the only person who's ever made me feel this angry. It's so frustratingly irritating that I am this angry -"

"That's because he meant so much to you as a young girl - and till now," explained Max slowly. "He makes you feel this way, because you can't understand why he did what he did in the past." Naomi bit her lips.

"I don't know what to do, Max," confessed Naomi, staring back at him. "I was never close to my parents like you were to yours."

"Maybe this is an opportunity for you to finally get what you've always wanted," added Max.

"And what's that?" asked Naomi.

"A father," responded Max, smiling back at her.

Annie and Liam's House:

"This is so frustrating!" Annie spat, annoyed, slamming files upon files on the dining table. "We have no proof whatsoever to prove Patrick burned down Dixon's beach house!"

"And almost left Dixon for dead," added Liam, leaning against the counter.

"No witnesses, no footages, no trails, nothing!" Annie cried aloud. "These files suck!" She crossed her arms. "He's gonna get away with everything. This is not fair!"

"There has to be more," reasoned Liam. "This can't be all."

"Well unfortunately, it is," Annie gritted, reaching for her purse.

"You know," Liam began, reaching for the files. "We should get some rest. Take a break from all of this -"

"I can't rest with this, Liam!" Annie interjected. "I can't believe it's going to end like this! After everything we've been through -"

"It's not, Annie!" said Liam. "You can't think like this -"

"Well the odds are stacked against my brother and me," reasoned Annie, upset. Liam took a deep breath and buried his head in his hands. "And I can't believe you're so relaxed about all of this -"

"Who says I'm relaxed?" argued Liam, heating up. "I am as worried and frustrated as you are, Annie!"

"Look," Annie stated, reaching for the front door. "If you don't want any part of this, I'm going to figure this out by myself."

"Where are you going?" asked Liam, following Annie out the door.

"To settle this once and for all," answered Annie. "I'm going to see him."

Washington, D.C.:

She carefully made her way to the front door, arms wrapped around herself. Before her hand could touch the door, the person behind the house swung the door open and was quickly thrown aback.

"Silver?" the person stated.

"Teddy," she answered him, her voice breaking.

"Silver," he responded carefully. "I don't understand -"

"I'm pregnant," confessed Silver, holding her stomach. "I'm pregnant, Teddy." She fell into his arms as he embraced her tightly.

Adrianna's Tour Bus:

"That's a nice bracelet you got there. Where'd you get it?" asked her bandmate, Andy, taking a seat next to her.

"It's Navid's," answered Adrianna quickly, fiddling with her charm bracelet. She awkwardly shifted her body away from him.

"Navid's?" asked Andy, scrunching his brows.

"Well it's mine," explained Adrianna. "It's from Navid." She smiled sweetly.

"I'm Andy," he introduced himself, reaching for her hand.

"Andy," Adrianna responded, grasping his large hand. "You're our new guitarist, right?"

"Yeah," he replied. He was very handsome, Adrianna thought.

"Yeah," she repeated. "I'm Adrianna." She chuckled nervously.

"Yeah," added Andy, rubbing his chin. "I figured that one out." He bit his lip charmingly and laughed. "It's the Adrianna Tate-Duncan tour."

"Oh, duh," Adrianna chuckled, embarrassed. She was completely flushed. "I'm Adrianna."

"So are you and Navid...together, together?" asked Andy carefully, catching Adrianna off guard. "Cause if not, then I was wondering if I could ask you out on a date or get a drink -"

"No," Adrianna answered quickly.

"No to me?" asked Andy. "Or no to being together with Navid."

"I mean no to you," explained Adrianna, feeling uncomfortable. "I mean...I'm with Navid. And no to you. But if I was single, then maybe yes to you -" Andy's charm was overwhelming, but Adrianna sat tall. "I'm with Navid, Andy."

"Say no more. He must be one lucky guy," said Andy, smiling back at her.

"Actually, I think I'm the lucky one," added Adrianna. "He's good to me. Very good to me."

"Well if you need to talk to anyone," assured Andy. "I'm here. I'm not very funny...but I'm a good listener." Adrianna took a deep sigh of relief as she watched him walk away. "If you wanna get a burger sometime, I'm just a few feet away from you."

Offshore:

"Cheer up, Navid," Dixon stated, hovering his hands over the keyboard on his laptop. "You still got me."

"I appreciate that," muttered Navid, sinking low in his seat. "Thanks for not leaving on the tour with Ade. I'm getting pretty lonely lately -"

"Actually," Dixon began, taking his headphones off. "I'm producing Adrianna's new album with three other music producers at the studio in a little bit. I might have to jet out of here soon. I'm sorry man, this is just a great opportunity for my new label and for her name to get back in the music industry again."

"No, don't sweat it. I totally understand. Well I'm glad my friends are successful," added Navid, sipping on a beer bottle.

"Don't you own half of this bar?" asked Dixon.

"Most of the money goes to Old Salty," answered Navid. "I'm only here to advertise the brand."

"What about The Condor?" asked Dixon.

"I'm graduating soon," answered Navid. "And I didn't get the internship I wanted for in D.C." Navid pouted his lips. "They chose to go with somebody else."

"That sucks, dude," said Dixon, laying his comforting hand on Navid's shoulder.

"Unless I figure something out soon, I'm pretty much unemployed," explained Navid, depressed. "And my future plans with Ade is gonna go down the drain. Financially speaking of course. But money or no money, I will always love Ade."

"At least you have a future with Ade," muttered Dixon.

"What do you mean?" asked Navid. "I thought things with Silver have been going great?"

"Things with Silver have been going great," explained Dixon, closing his laptop. "But she's been a little distant lately. I don't know how to explain it -"

"It's nothing new, Dix," added Navid. "Things with Silver are always somehow complicated."

"I just don't get it," explained Dixon. "She's just been accepted to NYU, she's cancer free - but she's been distancing herself from me for a while now."

"I don't know, Dix," said Navid. "If you really want to know what's going on, then just ask her yourself."

"You're right," said Dixon.

"Of course I am," boasted Navid. "You owe me."

"See," added Dixon with a smile. "You're not useless." Navid chuckled and smacked him across his chest.

"You're funny," muttered Navid, watching Dixon leave the bar. "I hope you get a good review today!"

"Thanks man," said Dixon. "I really want this to work out. Peace!"

Naomi's Mansion:

"Ivy!" called Naomi, meeting Ivy at the door. "Thank God you're here."

"Yeah, no problem," Ivy responded. "I got your call. It seemed urgent, is everything okay?"

"Everything is not okay," snapped Naomi.

"What's going on?" asked Ivy.

"My dad's here," whispered Naomi.

"And?" Ivy dragged on.

"And?" repeated Naomi anxiously. "I hate him."

"What's he doing here then?" asked Ivy.

"I don't know," Naomi responded. "But that's what I want you to ask him."

"You called me all the way over here to ask your dad what he's doing here?" muttered Ivy. "Sounds stupid to me."

"Please, Ivy!" begged Naomi. "It's killing me. He's like making appointments for my work. It's as if he's trying to bond with me or something. I'm uncomfortable and I don't understand -"

"Naomi," Ivy began, taking her hands. "Talk to your dad. Some of us wish we still had our dads barging down our front doors to try and bond with us."

Teddy's Residence:

"How did he react?" asked Teddy, handing her a cup of warm tea.

"He didn't," answered Silver, gently placing her lips on the cup.

"He didn't?" asked Teddy, surprised.

"I haven't told him yet," answered Silver nervously.

"Silver," Teddy responded. "Dixon has every right to know -"

"Of course he does," Silver agreed, shutting her eyes.

"Then what's the problem?" asked Teddy. He carefully watched her place her cup of tea on the table.

"There's a possibility that it might not be his," answered Silver, choking up.

"What?" muttered Teddy, confused. "Why wouldn't it be his?"

"Because," Silver murmured, almost ashamed. "Because I slept with Mark."

"You slept with Mark?" repeated Teddy.

"Before Dixon and I got together, I swear," explained Silver defensively. "I know. I feel terrible, I do. It just sort of happened. Mark and I were off and on for a long time and I don't want to hurt Dixon -"

"What are you going to do?" asked Teddy. "We're talking about other lives here -"

"I'm gonna keep the baby," answered Silver strongly. "Fatherless or not. This has to be a sign, Teddy. I'm supposed to have this baby. I just don't know what to do with Dixon."

"You have to tell him, Silver," said Teddy. "He deserves to know."

"And if he's not the father?" asked Silver. "This baby is everything I've always wanted. But Dixon is my everything. I never thought how hard this would be."

"I know Dixon, Silver," added Teddy. "He loves you more than anything in this world. And he's going to love this child whether or not its his."

"I have the paternity test results," Silver muttered, taking out an envelope from her purse. "I haven't opened it yet. I was hoping you could be here with me when I open it."

"I love you, Silver, I do," said Teddy, taking her hands. "But I don't think I'm the right guy for this moment."

California University Student Center:

"I'm fine, thank you," she answered coldly. "I found him." She pushed her way through the large crowd and made her way beyond the media to Patrick Westhill.

"It's Annie Wilson!" called one of the journalists.

"Move!" shouted another photographer.

"Make room for Ms. Wilson!" demanded a publicist.

"Annie!" Patrick sweetly called for her. He motioned her on stage. He was standing behind a meet&greet table, promoting Annie's novel and the school play.

"What do you think you're doing? What the hell are all these people doing here?" Annie asked, annoyed. "The show is over, Patrick. You have to get rid of them!"

"Can you stand next to each other for a photo op?" asked a photographer.

"Hell no," answered Annie.

"Let's give them what they want, Annie," whispered Patrick.

Before Annie could speak, Patrick grabbed her by the waist, pulled her in closely, and passionately pressed his lips against hers'. Camera flashes rapidly engulfed the room as Patrick suffocated Annie with his mouth. She pushed herself off him and whipped her hand across his face.

"You bastard!" she shrieked, wiping her mouth. "Ugh."

"Kind of reminds me of the time she slept with me for money," laughed Patrick. "Trust me, she was using different words."

"You're disgusting," commented Annie.

"She's so passionate about me, I love her," Patrick commented.

"Make them go away," demanded Annie.

"I don't think so, Wilson. The publicity from your performance has gone wild!" he informed her. "They loved you, Annie! Who knew the whore can act so well. I sure didn't." She grabbed him by his shirt and dragged him aside. "I'm just trying to promote your book -"

"Listen," gritted Annie. "I did your stupid show. I agreed to all your stupid terms. Now leave me and my family alone." Patrick folded his arms. "It's over."

"It will never be over, Annie," Patrick retorted. Annie thinned her eyes.

"What do you want to happen, Patrick?" asked Annie. "This has gone too far - what do you want from me?"

"I want you to suffer," answered Patrick immediately. "I want you to know the pain you put me through." Annie gulped. "I lost my family because of you. I lost my wife, I lost everything!"

"You can't keep this going," threatened Annie. "Sooner or later you're going to have to stop."

"You're obviously not very bright, Annie," hissed Patrick, stepping closer to her. "I will not stop. I can't stop. It's impossible." Annie took a deep breath. "When you have money like I do, the possibilities are endless."

"I will find a way to end this," stated Annie strongly.

"I'll be looking forward to the day you do," spat Patrick.

Offshore - Liam's Surf Shop:

"Thank God for the beach, am I right?" Ivy shouted, placing her board against the wall.

"You're right," laughed Liam. "You look good."

"I've been good, yeah," Ivy responded. "I stopped seeing my therapy, and I started seeing my mom more often."

"And how's that going?" asked Liam.

"Better than I expected," answered Ivy. "She's really helping me a lot. I forget how motherly she can be." Liam nodded happily. "And getting on the water has definitely given me some peace. Raj was the one who really got me to get back in the water after my accident. He knew that it somehow would -"

"Help you get your life back?" finished Liam.

"How about you let me finish my sentences, jerk?" laughed Ivy.

"I'm sorry," Liam replied. "I'm glad you're good. At least one of us is having a good day -"

"Yeah," added Ivy. "You kinda look kinda crappy today. What's up, man?"

"Annie and I had a fight this morning," explained Liam. "It got out of hand and she ended up leaving the house -"

"Look," Ivy began. "The last thing I want is to get in the middle of this, but -" She handed Liam a copy of The Condor, which had Annie and Patrick kissing on the front page. "You've been a great friend and I just wanted to make sure you knew this was going on. I'm not really sure what happened here, but the guys on the team were talking about how they were promoting her book at the student center -"

"What?" asked Liam, blindsided.

"Look," Ivy muttered. "Talk to her." Liam looked up. "All I'm saying is that people are talking. And talk gets around fast."

"Thanks," Liam murmured.

Beverly Hills Studio:

"So how many albums has your record label produced, Dixon?" asked Geoff, a producer. "What kind of artists do you usually work with."

"Well," Dixon began nervously. "This would be my first album -"

"Your first?" asked Geoff.

"Well," Dixon began again. "My previous record label, Unfaithful Records - well...long story short, due to some unfortunate circumstances, I went bankrupt and lost the record label." Geoff took a deep breath and exchanged glances with the other two producers. "It was very unfortunate, yes, but this new label has been my second chance in the music industry."

"Do you plan on losing this label as well?" asked Geoff.

"Of course not," answered Dixon strongly. "Look, what happened with Unfaithful Records will not happen to Gold Room Records. Adrianna Tate-Duncan's album will be produced by the best, because this label believes her music is the best. She deserves it. It has to be treated like royalty."

"I believe you," added Geoff.

"These are some great songs, Dixon," Chris, the other producer, mentioned. "This album is going to be a hit."

"I'm so excited to be working on this project with her," Jeanne, the other producer, stated.

"Well Adrianna's been working very hard," Dixon responded, rubbing his hands together.

"She has a beautiful story, truly," added Jeanne.

"It's just a matter of time till people really get to know the real Adrianna Tate-Duncan," said Chris. "If only there was a way to speed up this process, she'd take over the media."

"I have an idea," muttered Dixon.

Teddy's Residence:

"I should feel okay about this," explained Silver, pacing back and forth. "This is what I've wished for."

"It is," added Teddy.

"Then why doesn't it feel like it," questioned Silver.

"I don't know, Silver," confessed Teddy. "All I know, is that when the time comes, you will do the right thing, because that is who you are."

"This baby is everything to me," muttered Silver. "And it's going to be my first priority throughout all of this."

Naomi's Mansion:

"Baby," called Charles Clark, putting away his cellphone. "I've got great news." Naomi forced a smile on her face. "I set up an appointment with two of my former colleagues who are interested in Naomi Clark Events hosting their gala. Isn't that wonderful?"

"Wonderful," Naomi muttered disinterstingly.

"What's wrong, Naomi?" asked Charles.

"Nothing," Naomi lied.

"Come on, Naomi," begged Charles, taking a seat. "I'm your father, you can tell me -"

"See that's the problem," Naomi interjected, slamming her pen on the table.

"What? That I'm trying to communicate with my daughter?" asked Charles.

"Yes!" answered Naomi. "You're actually trying!" Naomi took a deep breath. "I don't get it! I don't understand this!"

"I'm just trying to be a father, Naomi," explained Charles.

"But why now?" spat Naomi. "What happened to you, dad?" Charles looked away. "What are you really doing here?"

"Before you say anything," Charles began. "Here me out." Naomi sat in silence. "I lost some of my investments -"

"Oh my God," muttered Naomi, standing up. She felt sick to her stomach. "You're here for money? You want money."

"No I don't, Naomi," corrected Charles. "Here me out, Naomi." Naomi turned around. "Yes, I lost most of my investments. But I came home to try and figure my life out and then I realized that I had lost way more important things before I lost my money."

"Like what?" asked Naomi. "Your precious Gail?"

"No," answered Charles. "My family." Naomi's lips trembled. "My precious girls."

"To be honest, I don't know what to do with this information, dad," Naomi responded. "For the longest time, I have blamed you and mom for how screwed up I've become. You made me this way. How dare you put a sixteen year old girl through the kind of hell you did?"

"Naomi, I'm sorry," apologized Charles. "I really am."

"I hated you so much," added Naomi. "But I'm done hating you, dad. I don't want to wake up one day and find out you died and all I'll have from you are hated memories. I can't do it anymore."

"I'm sorry," Charles repeated. "I'm sorry, Naomi."

"I'm gonna give you another chance, dad," muttered Naomi. "Because although you are responsible for ruining my life, I wouldn't be where I am without you. I am a successful, confident, strong, and an empowering woman. And I have you to thank for."

Annie and Liam's House:

Annie gently pushed through the front door and rested her purse and keys on the dining table. She heard Liam's footsteps behind her and slowly turned around.

"Care to explain this, Annie?" asked Liam, holding a CU Newsletter with Annie and Patrick's kiss. His eyes were blood shot and he seemed a little uneasy.

"Liam," Annie muttered.

"Why didn't you tell me this happened?" asked Liam, upset. "Were you just waiting for the entire world to tell me about this?"

"What? Liam, of course I was going to mention it to you," explained Annie, scratching her head. "I just had a lot going through my mind today. It probably slipped my mind or something."

"Okay," Liam murmured, facing the other direction.

"Why are you so riled up about this?" Annie retorted, annoyed. "You know I would never do anything -"

"Because my fiancé is all over social media kissing another man," Liam explained. "It's embarrassing to hear about it from people at the beach and from people at the bar -"

"It meant nothing, Liam!" confessed Annie.

"What's really embarrassing is having Ivy come by the shop today to hand me this," added Liam. "And to hear it from Ivy -"

"Liam, you are really overreacting about this situation," Annie interjected.

"Is this why you went to see him?" asked Liam, slamming the newsletter on the ground. "Were you that upset with me today? Did you hate me that much that you would go and publicize this kiss?"

"I would never agree to publicize this picture, Liam," Annie explained. "You have no idea what you're talking about. Just listen to me -"

"Then why did Navid say you agreed to sign off the pictures to The Condor?" Liam asked. Annie looked flustered. "Annie, if Patrick is trying to blackmail you, you have to let me know. You're my fiancé."

"Liam, no!" argued Annie. "Patrick set me up. You have to believe me." Annie followed him as Liam headed straight for the door. "Where are you going?"

"Away from here," answered Liam. Liam reeked of alcohol as he breathed against her face. "I need to go and you need to figure this out."

"Liam!" called Annie, watching her fiancé jump on his motorcycle. "Don't! Liam!"

Adrianna's Tour Bus:

She combed her soft hair back with her fingers and relaxed against her seat. She was exhausted from her concert.

"Great job tonight, Adrianna," a bandmate said. "You rocked it."

"Thanks," Adrianna replied. She checked her phone for updates from Navid and sighed deeply.

"Are you hungry?" someone asked from behind. She quickly turned around and found Andy standing behind her with a brown paper bag scrunched up in his hands. "Do pop-stars get hungry?"

"Depends on what's inside the bag?" Adrianna replied. Andy swung around the small table and sat across from her.

"Hamburgers?" muttered Andy sweetly.

"How'd you know?" asked Adrianna.

"I saw it on your list of demands," laughed Andy.

"I have a list of demands?" asked Adrianna jokingly.

"I saw your charm bracelet," Andy confessed. "I saw a burger on it. Took a risk. How'd I do?"

"You did well. Good thing my favorite food is a good fashioned burger," responded Adrianna. They exchanged warm smiles. "Let's open it up and eat."

"Right," laughed Andy, carefully handing her a hamburger.

"Thanks, Andy," Adrianna murmured. "You know, lately I've been feeling really homesick." Andy glared at her. "But being with you makes things a little better."

"Look," Andy began. "I know you're in a relationship and you're career is crazy sky rocketing, but I hope you know that you can find a friend in me."

"Good to know," whispered Adrianna, taking a bite from her burger. She accidentally wiped ketchup across her cheek and immediately fell into laughter with Andy.

Dixon and Navid's Beach House:

"Hello?" she called throughout the house. "Is anybody home?"

"Silver?" answered Navid from the bedroom.

"Navid?" said Silver, surprised. "Hey."

"Hi," Navid responded, taking a seat on the counter. "Where have you been? Dixon's been looking for you."

"He has?" asked Silver, holding tightly to her purse.

"Should he not?" asked Navid.

"No, it's fine," responded Silver quickly. She quickly headed to the door. "I just wanted to stop by, but I can totally come back later -"

"Hey," called Navid, reaching for Silver. "Is everything okay between you guys?"

"Yeah," answered Silver, clearing her throat. "Why wouldn't it be?" The front door opened as Dixon walked in.

"Silver?" he greeted happily, embracing her. "I've missed you!"

"I've missed you, too," she whispered back uncomfortably. "But you know what, I have to -"

"Hold on, baby," interjected Dixon, focusing his attention to Navid. "Navid, I have some great news for you." Navid and Silver exchanged glances. "Stop the job hunting, because I got you a job opening for the Beverly Hills column paper."

"Are you serious?" Navid responded excitedly.

"Yeah!" Dixon said, hugging Navid. "I owe you one, remember."

"That's great, Navid," added Silver.

"It looks like we're all going to be okay," added Dixon, smiling happily. He put his arms around his girlfriend and best friend. "Everything's looking good for all of us."

"How can I ever repay you?" asked Navid happily. "Silver, you have one lucky man."

"I sure do," muttered Silver nervously.

"Come on, Silver!" called Navid. "Group hug!" Silver placed her purse on the counter and fell prey to Navid's tight embrace.

"Your first assignment is writing a bio on Adrianna Tate-Duncan," Dixon informed Navid.

"I love you, man," Navid cried.

"Okay," Silver chuckled. "I'm going to leave you two alone. This bromance is too much for me." She kissed Dixon goodbye and headed to the door. "I will call you tomorrow.

"Take care, baby," Dixon replied.

000

"Oh God," breathed Silver, holding her stomach. "Oh God, please let everything be okay."

She quickly realized that she had left her purse on the counter. She rapidly turned around and walked back in the house.

"Dixon," she called, but what she saw stole her breath away. Her purse had fallen on the ground and Dixon stood in front of her with an envelope tugged in his hands.

"Silver," breathed Dixon carefully, holding onto the envelope regarding the paternity test. "Are you pregnant?"

"Dixon," she muttered slowly.

"Silver," repeated Dixon. "Please answer me." He shut his eyes and licked his lips. "Are you pregnant? Are we pregnant? Are you?"

"Yes, yes I am," Silver whispered. She began to take deep breaths. Her vision was blurred. Her balance was off. The room began to spin and it felt as if the room was sucking out all the air in the world.

Silver suddenly fell to ground, landing across Dixon.
