Chapter 15 Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto A/N: Thank you guys for continuing to fav this story! I'm surprised at how many favs and followers there are ^^. I hope you all come out of your shell and review! Finally back with an update. I've been working on bits and pieces here and there and finally got on a spur enough to update! Giving you a slightly lengthy chapter, this chapter is a glimpse at Karin's team and a bit of action as Sasuke and Emiko infiltrate Kirigakure.
Karin decided she would take the lead into Amegakure to speed the process. She wanted to get everything done and leave without any interruptions or getting sidetracked. Suigetsu had spoken against just carelessly waltzing into the village, but Karin didn't heed any of his words. She was still fuming over not being teamed with Sasuke.
Surprisingly, things went well for the first few minutes after their entry. The villagers were mostly unseen, and the few that were seen were extremely standoff-ish towards the visitors.
"This place gives me the creeps." Suigetsu mentioned. "Yeah, it's dreary especially with all this rain, it looks like we might get washed away." Karin spoke. "I think this is a nothing out of the ordinary for this place, but we don't seem to be very welcome." Jugo commented.
"Well, it's not like I wanted to be here either. I wanted to be in Kirigakure with Sasuke-kun." Karin whined. "Oh, shut it. You're stuck here." The white haired shinobi commented. Karin scoffed, "I don't belong in places like this, unlike you."
"Guys, I think I found what we're looking for.." Jugo spoke, he was quite a ways away from the two, having diverted away in a different direction. The two went over to Jugo who was now far away from the metal buildings. "What exactly is it?" Karin asked Suigetsu who glanced at Jugo knowingly.
"Scavenging. Kinda...well, maybe not exactly but who knows?" Suigetsu spoke, his tone indifferent.
"Huh?" Karin asked, puzzled at his vagueness. " Body scavenging." Jugo added, causing Karin's face to contort. "Why do we have to do the body scavenging? Why can't Orochimaru-sama do it himself? Are we supposed to carry dead bodies back ourselves?" She asked, appalled at the task revealed.
"Who knows, all we know is that we're searching at least to make sure it's still there." Suigetsu stated.
"You should complain to Orochimaru-sama instead of us." Jugo mentioned, causing Karin to groan and go silent.
"The ground is pretty muddy though. This will be messy, and is there any guarantee it will be here?" Suigestu began questioning now. Jugo shrugged, and started digging into the ground with his hands. The other two shinobi watched, neither offering to help. Jugo had dug pretty far to no avail and let out a sigh.
Karin let out a gasp, startling the other two. "What's your problem?" Suigetsu questioned, annoyed. Before Karin could explain anything a flock of what seemed to be birds attacked them viciously.
"What the hell?" Suigetsu screamed, as their ears were filled with the sound of flapping. Karin and Jugo leaped away after prying their way out of the attack. Suigetsu was already freed of the encounter.
"What is this?" Karin asked, the "birds" having attacked them were extremely painful, looking at herself and the others everyone was injured from that short contact with the creatures. Upon further inspection Karin came to a realization. "Is that paper?" Karin asked in disbelief.
"Seriously?" Suigetsu asked. "This is crap, as if we're gonna be pushed away by something like this."
The birds swirled around their heads, and a shadow loomed above them. Looking behind them they saw a cloaked woman controlling the birds.
"Um, Suigetsu I don't think Orochimaru-sama wanted us to go this far. Maybe we should just retreat for now." Karin spoke.
Suigetsu took in their attacker and his surroundings. He placed his hand on his sword. "Afraid of the Akatsuki?" He asked.
"I'm just using my head on this one. I don't like her chakra." Karin spoke, taking a step back. Jugo stood his ground, weighing his options. There was no way they'd be able to continue their search if the attacker stood in their way, and even more so if reinforcements were on the way. Suigetsu however, didn't want to weigh anything and soon rushed towards his opponent who was rapidly descending from the sky.
After only a few hours, Sasuke and Emiko had trekked into a mountainous region. Looking ahead, Emiko couldn't make heads or tails of anything that lay past the mountains. "Is this our intended direction?" Emiko questioned the Uchiha.
"If I'm not mistaken Kirgakure should be on the other side, so we're close." Sasuke commented. The night had continued on without signs of any rain or storm, which the shinobi were thankful for. The sky was once again brightened by the stars, and they lightened the path. It made their ascent into the mountains much easier.
"This is quite a natural barrier. Hopefully we don't get lost." Emiko commented, looking at Sasuke since he was the one giving directions. "It's possible." He replied. Emiko was surprised by his response. She followed behind him by a few steps. "It's much colder here than it was a few miles back." She commented.
"Well with as much area we have to cover you should warm up soon." He commented. The path they traveled on was quite rocky, and the further they traveled the more narrow the path and ledges became.
"You know I just remembered Suigetsu's home village is here. Too bad he didn't get this mission." Emiko spoke. "Yeah, I don't think he's too bothered about it though. Him tagging along, or anyone else for that matter would just be bothersome." The Uchiha stated.
Emiko chuckled. "You know it would have been good to say good bye to those two kids who helped me earlier. They were adorable."
Sasuke recalled the children from the small town before. He hadn't considered it at the time when they had left the restaurant, nor was he sure how Emiko was going to act towards him. Being pestered by the children with tons of questions, he finally accepted them calling her is "girlfriend" although he didn't say so himself.
He didn't know if Emiko would bite his head off again or not so he erred on the side of caution instead of going back into the town with her. "We didn't, but I wasn't sure how you felt so I avoided it. Didn't want you to get temperamental again." Sasuke responded.
Emiko looked away, sheepishly. "But we can do so on our way back." The male shinobi added. Emiko perked up at this suggestion. "Sounds good, it will also help us trace our way back."
A fog began to form as they walked along. "We have to be cautious about this so we don't alert any more than is necessary when we get there." Sasuke explained. "Stealth isn't a problem. Inside or outside the village it seems." Emiko joked at the thickening fog.
The two shinobi now walked quite a few feet away from the other. It was getting harder to see more than a few feet ahead. Sasuke's pace appeared to be rather fast despite the handicap.
There was the sound of a few rocks chipping as Emiko's foot slid off of the side of the ledge. She had slipped slightly, and was halfway sitting on the ground. Sasuke was looking back at her with curious Sharingan eyes. She let out a grunt and pulled her foot up and out of danger.
"You should be more careful." He scolded, although not attempting to help her. He stood in his place, waiting for her to get up. Emiko stood, doing her best not to make the same mistake twice. "It's no big deal. Was just being careless is all. This fog is very dense." She said.
"Imagine finding the village." Sasuke spoke. They continued along, Emiko following even closer behind Sasuke. "Possibly the lower we go the less dense the fog will be, but I'm sure it's still bad." He commented.
They began to descend a bit, Emiko was following Sasuke and being sure to watch her every step, as to not have an accident. She felt herself bump into Sasuke and let out a gasp. "Sorry!" She exclaimed.
"Why are you following so closely?" He asked. Indeed, Emiko was close to Sasuke. She realized she must had been unconsciously following him closely. "My mistake." She apologized, smiling and distancing herself just a bit.
The fog did begin to thin, if only a bit, and Emiko was wondering if they would ever find the village until Sasuke turned to her. "After we get off of this mountain the village should be very close. It's hard to give a definite direction though because the fog covers the village too."
Emiko nodded. Sasuke and the kunoichi had managed to travel considerably lower. Sasuke kneeled down to the ground, eying the trees over the edge of the mountain. "Let's take this path." He announced. Emiko looked a bit surprised. "But it's pretty difficult to see that way. Are we taking to the trees and heading to the village from that point?" She asked.
Sasuke glanced at her for a moment before nodding. "Let's go." He spoke before leaping over the side of the mountain into the trees. Emiko was wary, but if Sasuke was already down there, she was going too, so she leaped after him.
Shortly after, she landed on a tree, and Sasuke was only a few meters away. She followed him in what direction she presumed to be East. "Are we going in tonight?" She asked. "We might as well, unless you're not up to it." He asked, teasingly.
"Of course, it's fine." Emiko stated. Sasuke smirked. "We'll sneak in, and when we find the tower we will go in separately." Sasuke commented.
"We can meet back here since it seems to be slightly away from the village." Emiko stated.
They traveled a few more minutes before Sasuke came to a stop, and Emiko followed suit. Although it was difficult the outlines of a village could be seen in the near distance. "That's it?" Emiko questioned. Sasuke nodded. "Let's enter from the east of the main gate." He said.
They traveled closer until they were practically upon the village. As the two hid behind the trees and scoped the area they spotted the gate patrol guards at their post. Coming in from east of the gate would avoid them, but they still needed to remain discreet.
Emiko followed Sasuke into the village, allowing him to go first so as to not make too much motion at once. Sasuke had situated himself on a tall building with a tree on it, using the tree as a shield. Looking around, Emiko saw that all of the taller cylinder building had trees seeming to grow on them. It was a nice camouflage, but it could be used against them as well.
"From what I know, the Mizukage's building is over there." Sasuke spoke, nodding towards a building that towered above the rest. "Which building is our destination I wonder." Emiko spoke. Sasuke signaled her to follow as they moved towards the back of the village, keeping a wary eye out for anyone.
They came upon a slightly decrepit building sitting off to the side. It looked older than most and had a good amount of moss growing around it. There was a dim light throughout the building, and occasionally a figure would pass by.
The two shinobi exchanged glances with each other. "Hopefully you won't slow me down." Sasuke mentioned. "Hopefully not, since that's why Orochimaru-sama put me with you, but who knows. You can never know what to expect." Emiko said. Sasuke smirked at her and with the blink of an eye they parted.
Emiko scurried down to the village floor, masking herself behind a dark, unlit building a few meters away from their target. There were no guards on the outside, or so it seemed so she sneaked as close as she could, shadowing herself with the building. There was a front door, but it wasn't currently opened. Emiko had no clue what lie on the other side.
She felt a pair of snakes slither up her leg, wrapping themselves around her. Emiko smiled and stroked the tops of their heads, appreciative that her beloved pets were by her side right when she needed them. Emiko sent Akane into the building through a nearby window, and sent Haku slithering around the area, keeping watch. When Akane returned she gave an affirmative hiss that there were guards present directly past the door.
"How many are there?" The kunoichi questioned. "Only two, but the building has stairs, winding upwards, there is no telling how many more guards or how many levels there are." The snake responded.
"I see. I'll have you go first and take those two down so I can have a silent entrance." Emiko stated.
"As you wish." The snake hissed and disappeared once again. Emiko looked around, making sure everything was still clear. She listened intently and after what seemed like a minute or two she heard two loud thuds, signifying the fall of bodies. She waited on Akane's return to confirm it. "Alright. Let's go. Haku, you too!" Emiko ordered in a whisper.
She entered via the front entrance after the snakes, spotting two shinobi lying on the ground. She went over and checked their responsiveness, and as planned they were out cold. Emiko smiled to herself, and looked down at her companions, nodding her head towards the stairs. The two snakes slithered in front of Emiko, taking the lead. This way Emiko would have a heads up on what to expect. As she ascended the stairs she noted that the corridor was a straight forward narrow pathway with no outlets until the next floor.
Once she made it to the 2nd floor she was met with a spacious area, however she had underestimated its security. She immediately ducked behind a corner and let her snakes venture out into the room. She spotted at least six guards. They were standard shinobi in jounin vests. The kunoichi wondered why it was so guarded when she wasn't even at the top floor yet. Akane and Haku made the first move, not trying to be discreet in the least. Emiko heard a pair of screams and took that as her que to move. She dashed out of her hiding place past the two shinobi that had been attacked. The others were already alert and charged at her.
Emiko dogded the incoming punch and threw a punch of her own into the shinobi's stomach that attacked her. She then punched him in the face, sending him crashing into the shinobi behind him. She glanced behind her to see if the other shinobi had been taken care of and was relieved to see them on the floor, conscious, but immobilized. She looked forward just in time to see the only shinobi left charging at her. She didn't have to do much however as Haku slithered around the guard's legs, and Akane struck him on his shoulder, injecting her venom.
Emiko walked over to him, watching as he fell to the floor. "Sorry. I don't want to do more than I have to, but there's something I must do here." She spoke and then headed up the next flight of stairs.
This time Emiko headed into the fray ready to charge ahead, and ran a maze through the guards, carefully dodging their attacks until she made her way to the other side she put her hands together to form a jutsu and caused the floor beneath them to crack. She then followed it with a second jutsu and summoned several snakes that slithered out of the opening in the floor.
Emiko hoped she would be able to go easy on them until she found her prize, but she had a feeling that was just a delusional wish. Surprisingly, Emiko made it through the next two floors with relative ease, although they kept putting up more and more of a fight. She avoided getting significantly injured. Emiko stopped in her tracks when she heard a loud explosion in the near distance. Her head snapped towards the window in surprise and she saw smoke in the distance.
"Sasuke!" She gasped, running over to the window and trying her best to make out what was going on. She couldn't locate Sasuke, but in the distance she saw shinobi gathering from the commotion. 'Damn. At this rate we'll be discovered.'
Emiko's attention was deterred and she temporarily forgot about her immediate surroundings. Suddenly she felt a sharp pain against her beck and she stumbled against the wall, gathering her senses she put her hand on her sword, but was too slow to the draw. She felt a hand clench her neck and she was slammed against the wall.
Her grip became loose on her sword as she clawed at the offenders hands. "What's the meaning of this? There are people brave enough to sneak into Kirigakure? Are you after the Mizukage or are you just a thief?" The assailant questioned.
"Mizu-kage?" Emiko choked out, wanting to laugh. She wasn't that bold to go in with such high goals and no plan. What worried Emiko the most however was the fact that the entire village may be on them soon if they didn't hurry.
Akane and Haku postponed the new group of soldiers who came to aid the other. A blade attacked Akane slashing lengthwise and causing the snake to split into two selves. One turned around and came back for Emiko, attacking the shinobi that held her. The shinobi screamed out in pain and fell to one knee, however was beginning to stand on the other leg. Emiko kneed him in the face before he had time to recover and sped off to the top of the tower. Her plan had switched from offensive to defense and retreat.
She made her way to the top of the tower and was met by several doorways circling around her. She decided on the one to the far right, but as soon as she stepped near she heard the shinobi approaching up the stairs. Thinking fast, she formed a few hand signs and placed her hands on the ground, causing the ground to break and a wave of snakes to flow out. The snakes hit the approaching shinobi like a tidal wave sending them all flowing back down the stairs and entangling them.
Emiko made her move, anxious about being discovered or Sasuke being outnumbered since he was outside in the open. When she entered the room she saw a scroll placed in the mouth a stone whale type statue. The scroll was engulfed in some soft of blue barrier. Emiko carelessly reached in grabbing a hold of the scroll. However, she quickly withdrew her hand, crying out in pain. Her two snake companions slithered over to her in concern.
"It looks like some sort of icy mist, but it burns like fire." She stated, looking at the blisters on her hand. 'There's no time to waste.' She thought, biting her lip and reaching back inside she grabbed a hold of the scroll and wiggled it until it pried out. Not bothering to take the time to wince in pain. She looked around for an exit and saw another small open window.
"Let's get out of here." Emiko spoke, dashing over to the window. She was able to squeeze through and jump to a nearby building.
Emiko spotted Sasuke for the first time. "Sasuke!" She called out, catching his attention. He back flipped and landed a few feet away from her. "Hold tight." He announced, forming the hand signs for a summoning justu. He summoned his snake, which towered above the village.
"You've gotten what you need right?" Sasuke questioned. "Yeah. We're good to go." Emiko commented. "Let's get out of here. While he distracts them." Sasuke responded.
Emiko quickly glanced around. They surely needed to make haste as they had attracted tons of attention. She caught a glimpse of Sasuke's opponent standing amongst a bit of rubbish. He was a Kirigakure shinobi wearing an eye patch. Through the smoke she saw a female figure emerge. Emiko's eyes widened slightly at the kunoichi. 'She's gorgeous.' She thought, eyeing the beautiful kunoichi garbed in blue. The kunoichi had an unpleased look on her face. She spoke to the eyepatched man with a demanding expression on her face, but the male shinobi only shook his head and replied back. Emiko was able to hear bits and pieces of conversation. "Leave this to us Mizukage-sama. Excuse me, but if you get involved you may cause more destruction than what was done." The eyepatched shinobi spoke.
"What the hell are you waiting on?" Sasuke snapped, bringing Emiko back to the matter at hand. Emiko paid no further attention to her surroundings and with a burst of speed, headed towards the way they came. "I won't get caught just because you decide you want to." Sasuke announced.
Emiko didn't respond, but continued on her way. She made sure to avoid the main gates, and Sasuke had split from her to make tracking them a more difficult task. Sasuke seemed to have more pursuers, and she successfully evaded the few on her trail.
The two shinobi didn't stop running until they reached the base of the mountain. "Let's keep going." Sasuke suggested. "If they send a team after us, they will suspect we're heading this way. But this place really has some good cover. We need to get as far as we can though cause the guy I was fighting with was a sensor-type ninja."
"Not good." Emiko voiced her thoughts aloud. She looked over at Sasuke who was bent over with his hands resting on his knees. She did not take the time before to notice that he was injured from battle and looked pretty exhausted. By the looks of it she assumed he had to face enemies the entire time she was in the tower. She felt bad for taking so much time and not being able to help.
Emiko walked over to Sasuke and grabbed his arm and put it around her shoulder. "We're a team right?" She said with a wink. Sasuke smirked in return. "Whatever, as long as we get out of here as one. It'd be a drag to face too many of those guys right now."
Emiko placed her hand on Sasuke's waist and did her best to support his weight while running. "How were the guys you fought?" Emiko questioned. "Pretty annoying. The main one that kept after me was pretty good." Sasuke spoke. "You took a while to finish your job." The Uchiha complained.
"Sorry. I'm not as fast working as you I guess. I sincerely didn't want to hurt anyone badly so I tried to do my best with that. The building was very tall. Guards on each floor." Emiko explained. Sasuke grunted in response.
Emiko diverted off of the path a bit in hopes of their trail being quicker. The night sky was cloudy, leaving little room for light in the still foggy mountains. Sasuke moved away from Emiko, gaining some independence and showing he could still walk himself, and in fact, walked ahead of Emiko.
They walked in silence for some time. Emiko's serpentine companions had long disappeared after overusing their stay. The fog became thicker in front of Emiko, and then traveled to the sides so that she could see less than six feet around on each side. She stopped in her tracks, uncertain if she should continue to walk ahead with these conditions.
Suddenly she felt the air shift as someone rapidly approached her from behind. Emiko leaped to the side, spinning around, yet got caught on the leg by a kunai. The shinobi swiftly approached her and knocked her off balance. As soon as she fell she rebounded blocking a punch that was aimed towards her face. Another punch came in from the side and she grabbed the attacker's fist. Now one shinobi stood in front of her and one to the side. The were both masked, one wearing a white bear mask and the other a black tiger mask, but it was no question where they originated from. Both shinobi used their free arms to aim a punch towards her face. Emiko stumbled from the powerful dual blow and her grip became weak.
Weighing her options, Emiko pushed her weight into the shinobi in front of her, causing him to slide back. Although it didn't have to much of an impact as she had not recovered from the blow. Turning to face the other she threw a punch that was swiftly dodged. Emiko was struck by a returning punch and the two began throwing a series of punches and kicks towards one another. The masked shinobi successfully avoided all of Emiko maneuvers. Emiko however, got struck twice in succession. It was followed by her receiving a sharp knee to the chest.
Emiko fell to her knees, coughing. The bear masked shinobi decided to join in and punched her in the jaw, causing her to fall back. The black masked shonobi approached her once more and she kicked him in between the legs, which was the quickest response she could find in her position. The shinobi fell on the ground in pain. The white masked man reacted for him, grabbing Emiko by the leg and dragging her towards him he struck her hard in the face.
Emiko could feel blood trickle from her nose. She stood bravely, reaching for her sword. Her opponents were intuitive as the one in front of her grabbed her wrist and threw a punch at her. Emiko side stepped and wrenched her wrist free and sent a kick to her opponent. Her opponent ducked and closed the distance between them. They both poised with their fists raised and Emiko's fist reached his jaw a split second before his fist collided with her face.
The kunoichi had already came to the realization that her attackers were pretty good in taijutsu as they haven't used a single ninjutsu and have been able to injure her already. The black masked shinobi Emiko had kicked between the legs finally recovered, taking his spot next to his comrade. Out of the mist another masked shinobi appeared, making a total of three opponents. Emiko cringed at this. Glancing behind her she was wondering just where in the world was Sasuke.
"If you're looking for your pal, we're not stupid enough to corner just one of you. He must be having his hands tied right now." The newcomer spoke. The same male disappeared and reappeared behind Emiko and grabbed her wrist, twisting it painfully behind her back.
"So where did you come from and why?" Spoke one of the shonobi in front of her. He was the one wearing a bear mask. "Does it matter? It won't make much difference even if I tell you." Emiko mumbled.
"I don't think you are in position to be defiant right now." The shinobi in the black mask spoke. He stepped forward and grabbed Emiko's chin, pulling her face up roughly. She glared at him. "Someone needs to teach you manners I see, as well as to not play dirty when fighting." He spoke, his manly pride evidently hurt. "What were you after?" He went on to question.
Emiko stayed silent. It wasn't that she was exceedingly loyal in the case of being held hostage, it was just that she did not want to dig her own grave. "She's not wanting to talk. I'll hold her and you can search her." The shinobi that was restraining Emiko spoke.
The black masked man nodded. Emiko assumed he was the leader of the group. He reached for Emiko's top and before he even touched her she let out a curse. "Bastards, don't touch me!" She yelled. "I never said you could put your hands on me."
Emiko was met with a slap to her face. She had been let go and the shinobi in front of her pinned her to the ground. "You're not being very polite. I must say it's not cute behavior. Especially for someone who's at our mercy." He said, slipping his hands into Emikos robes searching around. Emiko let out a scream and elbowed him in the face as he groped her.
"Captain, what's going on? I thought you were supposed to be finding if she stole anything. Not finding her anatomy..." The newcomer shinobi, masked with a monkey's face stated. "True. But why not have a bit of fun?" The "captain" spoke, rubbing his jaw. Emiko was glaring at him. "She doesn't seem to want to be cooperative, plus I'm pretty pissed about earlier." The captain spoke.
"What about your friend? Will you tell us about him? He seems like he might be pretty strong." The captain continued to give Emiko questions.
Emiko turned her head away defiantly. "Not a chance. But you shouldn't be cocky. He's not gonna fall against you guys like you happen to think." She muttered.
"Well if you must go very far just beat the info out of her. But I don't think you're going to get anywhere doing that..." The bear masked shinobi stated. "Just stay quiet and don't object." The captain ordered. He continued searching through Emiko's robes until he found the scroll.
"Eh? You're the one who's seeming a bit too cocky. This is a forbidden scroll, didn't you know? You don't have any business with this so what's your purpose?" The captain asked. Emiko stayed silent. The captain sighed and stood up to place the scroll in his pocket.
Emiko took the opportunity to ram her body into the male in front of her, sending him falling back. The other two shinobi charged towards her and she gave one an uppercut punch. She spun around to kick the other behind her but missed. She took out a kunai and leaped at him stabbing into his shoulder. She let her guard down thinking she had injured him enough to stagger, however, the shinobi then grabbed her by the elbow and tossed her several feet away into a rock.
Emiko struggled to open her eyes and moaned in pain. She felt herself being peeled from the rock and slammed into the ground. "You're too fiesty." She heard a voice speak and felt weight sit on her. Instinctively she elbowed the shinobi in the crotch, unfortunately it being the team captain, the same one whom she had embarrassed earlier.
" You little bitch! What happens to you before we take you back shouldn't matter. You may be cute but I have little patience for stubborn and aggressive kunoichi."
Emiko scoffed. The shinobi captain looked at his comrades. "Hold her down and restrain her."
"What are you planning?" The monkey masked shinobi inquired. "Taking advantage of this situation. After else someone else's misfortune might be your pleasure." The captain spoke.
Emiko felt a hand slip under her bra and remove it. The captain caught her wrists before she had a chance to try to punch him. She was too exhausted to try to fight him off. She cringed as she felt foreign hands on her breasts.
"Stop it! How could you get more disgusting. I'm sure your kage didn't tell you to do this..." Emiko screamed, flailing underneath him.
The captain looked towards his partners, but seemed like the two didn't want anything to do with the torturing. "My Mizukage said "any means necessary." So I'm sure she wouldn't mind as long as you're not dead." The shinobi responded with a chuckle.
"You say that, but as a woman I'm sure your kage would rather you beat a woman to death than do this to her." Emiko snapped.
Suddenly the area became engulfed in blue light and there were screams from the male shinobi. Emiko felt the weight remove from her and she sat up to see the three shinobi scattered on the ground. She looked to the corner of the fog and saw Sasuke walking through.
"Damn. This one has gotten loose I see." Spoke the bear masked man. Sasuke approached the captain who was slowing getting to his feet. Electricity was still flowing throughout their bodies. Sasuke had formed a chidori blade in his hand. The expression on Sasuke's face spoke that he was not showing any mercy.
"Sasuke, don't!" Emiko yelled, pulling her robes closed. "Let's go now. Don't worry about them."
"How can you say that when this piece of scum was harassing you like he was?" The Uchiha questioned. "It's because I know it was horrible, but none of them deserve death." Emiko commented, standing up to gaze at the male shinobi.
"Hmph." Sasuke grunted. The shinobi were already reaching for their weapons, having recovered. With three swift strikes Sasuke took each one of them down with his chidori blade. Immediately after it disappeared. Sasuke was breathing heavily. He looked like he was much more strained than Emiko was, as if he had used too much chakra. Sasuke bent down and retrieved the scroll they had lost.
"Sasuke..." Emiko mumbled concerned. She formed hand signs and summoned her snake Annika, using her as a transport for her and Sasuke.
"Don't get separated again." Sasuke spoke. "I'll try." Emiko responded. "It's bothersome." Sasuke explained. "I know." Emiko spoke. She tried clutching her clothes together even more to cover her exposed cleavage. "Sorry to have to need help. I should have held my own better." Emiko said.
"I'm not blaming you for anything. I'd rather it not happen again." Sasuke admitted. Emiko tied the front of her robes the best she could, feeling insecure. A small smile slipped on her face, but she hid it from the Uchiha sitting behind her.
