Hey guys! Sorry that I haven't updated in a long time, life got crazy for a while there but I haven't stopped writing! I looked through all my reviews and this story had the most requesting another chapter so I wanted to post this. I also started working on a couple new Bangel fics which I am actually almost done with one and will be posting as soon as possible.
I have been trying to write and post as much as possible this summer, I finished Christmas Reunion and I Always Loved New Year's and added several chapters of Buffy's Hoodie. My college classes start back up today, wish me luck!
There is a little naughtiness in this chapter! I hope you enjoy.
Thank you for all your reviews, they get me writing! –Angelfan15
Chapter 20: Spring Break
Buffy walked over to the dresser, opening it to put her white bikini back in. She couldn't believe Spike had taken it! Biting her lip she thought for a moment, she had brought several different swimsuits. If Spike wasn't here then she wouldn't care what one she wore because she had packed all her favorites for Angel. Now that Spike was there she felt like she should have brought something that covered her body more. "I don't know what to wear..." Buffy said as she felt Angel wrap his arms around her waist.
"Really?" He asked her with a teasing smile. "I have never known you to have that issue before."
Turning her head she glared at him playfully. "I have."
"Okay." Angel said taking a deep breath and looking in the dresser. "How about..." he reached in and grabbed a bright green bikini. "...this one?"
Buffy instantly shook her head. "To revealing."
"To revealing?" He asked confused.
Buffy nodded. "The top is tiny, and I mean tiny."
"I know." Angel smiled remembering how he could see almost her whole chest when she wore it.
"One wrong move, I'm Janet Jackson at the Superbowl!" She shook her head vigorously. "No way, not with Spike here."
Angel tossed the green suit back into the drawer. "So I have to suffer just because your ex is here?"
"You aren't going to suffer." She pouted turning around to look at him. She smiled at him in his black swim trunks and he had slipped on a black wife beater tank top. "We are going to have plenty of fun in which you do not suffer at all. But..." She stood on her tip toes and planted a soft kiss to his lips. "...I will wear it for you."
Smiling brightly he kissed her again. "It's my favorite."
"I know." She whispered as he pulled her shirt over her head, tossing it towards the bed.
Angel reached around her to grab the bikini top for her. "What's the deal anyway? Why is your ex here?"
Buffy shrugged. "Apparently Xander thought he was helping me out since you and I were in a rough patch the last time I actually spoke to him."
"So he brings your ex on vacation with you?" He asked watching as she put the bikini top on and turned around so he could tie the small strings for her. "He is your ex for a reason."
"Yeah." Buffy nodded. "I wish he wasn't here."

Cordelia laid out by the pool with her sunglasses on between Angel and Doyle. She had told them they both had to work on their tans too because they were so pale. Doyle couldn't take his eyes of Cordelia while Angel couldn't take his eyes off Buffy. He lowered his sunglasses down his nose a little as he watched her walk away from the bar with a drink in her hand. He was really appreciating the green bikini with its barely there triangles over her chest and tiny bottoms.
"Don't make me kill you." Cordelia said with her eyes closed as the sun bathed down on her.
Angel placed his glasses back on his nose and turned to look at her. "Me? For what?"
"Openly checking out that whore who can't even afford the rest of..." Cordelia opened her eyes and looked towards the skimpily bikini clad blonde. "Oh, that's Buffy. Never mind."
"What were you just going to say about my girlfriend?" Angel asked but Cordelia just huffed. He watched Buffy walked over to where Xander and Spike were sitting. Spike was obviously appreciating the bikini too. Angel smirked when he saw Buffy openly glare at Spike but then started smiling when Xander and the bleached blonde said something to each other.
Gunn looked over at Buffy and the two older men as he walked up to his friends laying in the sun loungers. "Hey guys, there are some really hot girls over there." He said pointing to the other side of the pool where a group of girls were sitting.
Angel looked up at his best friend, did Gunn really think he was going to check out those girls? He was on vacation with his girlfriend! Doyle tore his eyes away from Cordelia to look at the girls Gunn was talking about and then back to Cordelia.
"Come on, guys." Gunn said nodding towards the girls. "I could use a wingman and possibly we could get Doyle laid too."
Angel shook his head, he was trying to work on his tan. Not that he actually cared about being tan, he wanted to keep an eye on Buffy with Spike. He trusted her, he just didn't trust Spike.
"If all else fails, there is a really nerdy girl in their group." Gunn tried again. "You could talk like physics or history or something Angel."
Angel still didn't look like he was going to budge and Doyle was still looking between Cordelia and the girls. Why did she have to be so perfect?
"Why would he care?" Cordelia finally asked. "He has a girlfriend he can talk to about that stuff."
Gunn shook his head. "Buffy isn't into that kind of stuff and no one else in the whole damn school is as smart as he is."
"Are you saying he should date this other girl instead of Buffy?" Cordelia asked.
Angel turned his head to Cordelia quickly. "Not going to happen."
"No!" Gunn exclaimed. "I'm just saying no one else can give him the kind of conversation he needs, this chick is really smart. It's just talking about smart shit, not going on a date. Come on, Angel. I need you man!"
Angel took a deep breath and shook his head. "Fine."
Doyle nodded and took one last look at Cordelia before getting up and following his best friends over to the group of girls. Maybe he would finally meet someone.

Buffy hopped off the stool she was sitting on and walked over to where Cordelia, Angel and Doyle had been but she only found the brunette laying there. "Hey Cordy, where is everyone?"
The beautiful brunette lifted her head. "Huh?" She took her sunglasses off and placed them on her head. "Oh..." She pointed off across the pool. "They went over there a while ago to talk to some people."
Buffy turned around to look where her friend had pointed but there was no one there. "Well, they aren't there now."
"I'm surprised Angel didn't tell you before he went over." Cordelia told her. "He was going to be Gunn's wingman."
Buffy shook her head. "I don't see that ending well."
"Neither do I!" She exclaimed. "I mean Angel has had a total of one girlfriend, what does he know about picking up girls? And Doyle? Gross."
"Doyle isn't gross." Buffy told Cordelia sitting down where Doyle had been sitting. "Anyway, we were talking about taking a break and going to grab some dinner."
Cordelia sat up fully, trying to fix her hair in the back. "Can we go without those three?"
Buffy made an unsure face. "That would seem too much like a double date."
"Well, Angel is off talking to Miss. Physic-history maybe you need a double date." She murmured then looked up at Buffy. "Try calling Angel?"
Buffy nodded and turned back around to go towards Xander and Spike. "Let me grab my phone."
Making her way back over to her brunette friend, she shrugged as she held out her phone. "Angel isn't answering. Do you want to try?"
"Buffy..." Cordelia huffed as she stood to pick up her belongings. "If Angel doesn't pick up for you, he isn't going to pick up for me."
"Oh, I don't know." Buffy smiled. "You're his friend, I'm just his girlfriend."
Cordelia shook her head. "Can we please go without them?"
Buffy shook her head. "Let me try again."
0o0o0
Buffy looked down at her phone that was sitting next to her on the white tablecloth. She normally wouldn't have her phone out while eating dinner but she still hadn't heard from Angel. She had tried calling several times while they were showering and changing for dinner but he didn't answer, she picked up her phone and sent him a quick text before setting it down again. Doyle and Gunn hadn't answered either, she was starting to worry but Cordelia had told her over and over that they were probably just having fun with their new friends. One of those new friends just happen to be a very smart girl from what Cordelia had told her.
Cordelia looked over at her blonde friend, leaning towards her, she whispered. "Will you just put your phone away and enjoy dinner?"
They were at an amazing Japanese restaurant where Buffy's best friend had just ordered $200 for an eight ounce steak! Xander Harris was definitely her kind of people! It was a good thing Angel, Gunn and Doyle didn't reply to Buffy's text messages or answer the phone. Cordelia didn't think the three boys would know how to act in a restaurant like this.
"Dinner with my ex-boyfriend?" Buffy whispered back. "There is no enjoyment there."
"Please?" The brunette asked with pleading eyes. "For me?" When the blonde let out a sigh and nodded, Cordelia turned towards the dark haired man sitting across from her. "So, Xander... what is it that you do?"
Xander took a sip of his cocktail and smiled. "I am a construction foreman. Spike works for me."
"Yeah, yeah." The bleached British man shook his head taking a drink from the cocktail in front of him. Cordelia and Buffy had wanted to order the cocktail tree, which came with twelve different cocktails. He wasn't a fan of cocktails, give him a beer any day but the girls had wanted it and he didn't need to be on Buffy's bad side. "Let's bring that up as much as possible."
The dark haired man gave his bleach blonde friend a knowing smirk, Spike hated it when they talked about being his boss. Xander turned to Cordelia. "Do you work?"
"Oh, God. No!" The brunette exclaimed. "I don't have to work."
"Daddy's money, huh?" Spike smiled. "Buff used to have that."
Buffy narrowed her eyes at Spike. "You used to have a lot of things too."
Spike nodded and smirked at the blonde, he did used to have a lot of things. He used to have her and his favorite motorcycle which had been totaled in an accident when Buffy was on the back. He knew those were the two main things she was referring to. "We had some pretty good times though."
Buffy paused for a moment, looking down at her plate then up at the blonde with a small smile. "Yeah, we did."
Their relationship was far from healthy, most of the time it was straight up toxic but they did have good times. He was always there for her when she needed someone and just like Xander, Spike knew how to make her laugh.
"Remember that time we ran off to Vegas?" Spike smiled. "I was sure your mum was going to kill me."
Buffy nodded with a smile. "I was grounded for so long!"
"We were worried you two would come back married!" Xander exclaimed.
"How do you know we didn't get hitched?" Spike teased his friend.
Xander looked at Buffy who looked just as amused as Spike. "She would have told me." Xander shook his head turning to the blonde man. "YOU would have told me."
Cordelia looked towards Buffy. "Oh. My. God. Did you?"
Buffy chuckled but didn't say anything.
"Are you divorced now?" Cordelia asked seriously.
Spike looked towards Buffy, trying to hold back a smile but they both burst out laughing at the same time.
Looking over at Spike, Buffy saw the sparkle in his bright blue eyes that she hadn't seen in a very long time. It had been a while since they laughed together and she had missed it. They used to joke around a lot, teasing Xander and just having a good time together. Right now, she wished things hadn't changed. That things hadn't gone so terribly wrong with them that she felt she couldn't even talk to him as a friend anymore. Which sucked, they were good as friends. A friendship with Spike was a million times better than being in a relationship with Spike. The thing was a friendship was never enough for Spike, he always wanted more.
"Remember that party we went to at that old factory with Faith?" Spike asked with a smile. "That was a good time."
Xander shook his head. "You were so drunk that night!"
Buffy laughed. "Yeah, how do you even remember that?"
"That is what I call a good party." Spike nodded. He and Buffy had been drinking a lot and ended up outside of the factory, having sex behind a dumpster before he went and smoked weed with Faith. He still wondered if Buffy ever found out that he had sex with Faith that night when they were high. She had never mentioned it so he always assumed she hadn't known but who knows with Buffy. There were incidents that Buffy had never mentioned but Xander had told him that she knew about them. There became a point in their relationship where she had just given up fighting about all the stupid things he did. That was when he knew he was losing her, but it didn't hit him until after he had already lost her how much she really meant to him. He loved her but had treated her so badly that he lost her. She was the one that got away.
Buffy shook her head. "I'm scared to even know how many diseases we could have caught."
"You were a party animal, Buffy?" Cordelia shook her head and took a drink from the cocktail she wasn't actually old enough to drink. Buffy had gone to a couple of Percy's parties but only once had Buffy acted wild. Buffy had told her that it was all an act though, she couldn't picture Buffy going to some wild party.
"No. WE..." Xander motioned from his best friend to himself. "..were home bodies, give us a movie and pizza. We were happy. But throw this guy..." He motioned towards Spike. "...and our friend Faith into the mix and we always ended up at some crazy party."
Buffy nodded, agreeing with her best friend. "Most of them ended with the cops breaking them up."
"And more than a few people in jail." Xander added as he and Buffy both turned towards Spike.
Spike shrugged. "What? Like you didn't have fun those nights in the slammer!"
"My mom was so pissed!" Buffy laughed shaking her head. "She hated you."
"Loves me now." Spike shrugged with a smirk.
Pursing her lips Buffy narrowed her eyes at the bleached blonde. "How is that exactly?"
Xander smiled at Buffy. "Who can hate a heart broken man?"
Buffy raised her eyebrows at the two men across the table from her.
"After we split I started running into your mom around town..." Spike leaned forward to take a drink again. "We talked."
Buffy nodded. "I know, I begged her not to."
Spike nodded back. "Then I got back with Dru but she broke up with me. Again."
"And again." Xander added. "and again... you should really just stay away from the bat shit crazy ones, man."
Spike glared at Xander. "Anyway, your mum kind of became someone I could vent to. Told me I could do better, I deserved better."
"You know... she said the same thing when I was dating you." Buffy teased.
"She was right!" Spike smiled. "But... I don't do that stuff anymore."
"Yeah, right." Buffy muttered.
Xander sensed that it was the end of that conversation so he turned back to Cordelia. "So, Cordelia. Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Um..." Cordelia pursed her lips, she didn't want to tell Xander about Percy. She would rather forget about Percy. Xander was more her speed, he was older and seemed to have money. "It's complicated."
Buffy nodded. That was the same answer she always gave when she was with Spike. It was complicated because Cordelia didn't want anyone to know how bad the situation really was, she knew that all too well. She wished Cordelia would just move on and find someone who was good enough for her. Percy was nowhere near good enough for Cordelia Chase or any girl for that matter. Luckily, senior year would be over in a few months, high school relationships just didn't last after high school. She knew from experience.
"How complicated?" Xander asked teasingly, earning a glare from Buffy.
"There is this guy." Cordelia shrugged. "I have been with him for a while but the situation just sucks and we are over, he just doesn't know it yet."
Buffy raised her eyebrows at her friend, she didn't expect Cordelia to say that!
"Good." Xander smiled as he leaned back to allow the waiter to set his plate of steak, potatoes and green beans in front of him. "As Buffy's mom would say, you deserve better. And I'm not just saying that, you are a beautiful girl, Miss. Chase. You could have anyone you wanted."
Cordelia gave Xander a blinding smile while Buffy raised her eyebrows at Xander too. What was going on? Did Xander and Cordelia like each other? What about Anya? She would have to ask Xander what was going on with Anya and why he seemed to be flirting with Cordelia.

The two blondes and two brunettes walked into the suite, Xander and Spike were laughing over something stupid while both girls just smiled. Buffy smiled bigger when she saw her boyfriend and his two friends sitting in the suites living area. "Hey you." She whispered walking over to give him a soft kiss, she pulled away slightly. "I was worried about you, you didn't answer the phone."
"Sorry, we were kind of busy." He nodded. "...and bad reception."
"When we gonna eat?" Gunn asked rubbing her stomach.
Cordelia rolled her eyes. "We already ate. We were trying to call you and Buffy text you like a hundred times telling you that we were going to get dinner. If you losers are hungry, it's your own fault."
"Gee, thanks Cordy." Angel smiled then turned to his girlfriend. "We will just run down to the restaurant in the hotel."
"Or..." Buffy bit her lip. "...you could order room service."
Angel narrowed his eyes at his girlfriend. "Any reason why we should order room service instead of going out?"
Lightly tugging on his black tank top she gave him a teasing smile. "Maybe..."
"Room service sounds good." He whispered.
0o0o0
Buffy pushed Angel against the bedroom door as soon as it was shut, pulling his shirt over his head, she kissed down his chest. She had told everyone to let them know when the room service got there so Angel could eat then pulled him into the bedroom. If Cordelia was right and there was a girl that Angel might be interested in that he had been hanging out with for the better part of the day then she was going to show Angel she could do things some nerdy girl couldn't.
She heard Angel moan when she kissed lower near the waistband of his shorts. She started to pull them down when he stopped her. Why was he stopping her? "Hey, slow down baby." He smiled, gently putting her up on her feet. "Room service won't be here that fast."
He kissed her gently and smiled when her hands went right back to his shorts.
"I just want you." She pouted.
"I want you too." He smiled, gently placing his hand under her blonde hair on the nape of her neck. "Always."
Buffy smiled, standing up on her tip toes she kissed him softly. "I really wanted to hear that."
"Yeah?" Angel lifted her up off the floor and she wrapped her legs around his waist. "How about... I love you."
She smiled, turning her head sideways to he could kiss her neck. "I always want to hear that."
"I will always say it." He whispered carrying her over to their bed, gently laying her down, he kissed the tops of her breast that were visible in her pink dress. He slowly moved lower pulling up the bottom of her dress.
"Angel, no." She said softly. "I want to do you..."
"Do what to me?" He smiled devilishly.
She narrowed her eyes at him playfully.
Angel watched her sit up. "I take it I can't play first."
Buffy shook her head as she pulled his shorts down his legs allowing his manhood to bounce free. Smiling up at him she took him in her hand and she began to pump his cock. She smiled before playfully kissing the mushroom tip then taking it in her mouth.

"Wait, were they flirting?" Angel asked once again.
Cordelia rolled her eyes, she didn't answer him the first 4 times for a reason. "No!" She exclaimed finally in hopes that he would drop the subject. She shouldn't have answered him when he asked about dinner the night before.
Angel's eyes got large and shrugged his shoulders. "What was it then?"
"Just talking." She replied looking at her clothes hanging in the closet.
Angel shook his head. "See, I don't like it. I don't like him! And I don't trust him."
"Well, you have to deal with him." Cordelia responded, sitting down at the vanity that was in her room in the hotel suite. "At least until this trip is over."
"I don't want to leave Buffy alone with him." Angel sighed, sitting down on the end of Cordelia's bed.
"Then don't." Cordelia started to apply her usual morning moisturizer. "Don't go back out with Gunn and Doyle today. I mean, you already bailed on Buffy yesterday and didn't even show up for dinner."
Angel thought for a moment, Cordelia was making complete sense. He should just spend time with Buffy instead of taking on the role of Gunn's wingman again, but then Gunn would be upset with him. He already voiced how Angel hadn't been spending as much time with his best friends. "Gunn thinks I don't spend enough time with him and…"
Cordelia scuffed. "What is he, a girl? Please! Everyone knows if you have a hottie as a significant other, you spend all your time with them."
Angel eyed the brunette. "And yet, I spent time with you when I could have been with Buffy."
Cordelia paused for a moment. Angel was right about that, he did spend a lot of time with her when he could have been with his girlfriend. Most of the time she just complained to him about Percy, she almost felt bad about it. "That was different, I was going through something. You have to be with your friends when they are going through something!"
"And are you done going through it now?" Angel asked, watching her start to apply her make up. It took far too long for girls to get ready. That was something he loved about Buffy, she didn't spend a lot of time doing her make up because she looked beautiful without it.
"With Buffy's help." Cordelia nodded, as she applied primer. "No offense, Angel, I just think I needed another girl to talk to about this stuff, you know, someone who had gone through it before."
"So, what's the verdict?" Angel asked, leaning forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "Are you done with Perc… wait, Buffy has gone through it before?"
"So done!" She exclaimed, then gasped and looked back to Angel. "Oh, from what Buffy said she went through something, not the same but similar, with Spike. He was horrible to her most of the time, although, last night from the way they were talking sometimes things were really good."
"Ah ha!" Angel jumped up from the bed, pointing at Cordelia. "So they were flirting!"
"Did I say they were flirting?" Cordelia rolled her eyes. "No, I didn't say they were flirting. I said it seemed like their relationship didn't always suck. If you don't want Buffy to have the opportunity to realize that it didn't always suck, don't ditch her today!"
"I was down at the pool for a while yesterday and she was still over at the table with Xander and Spike." Angel sighed, as he started to pace at the end of the bed. "What if we just tried to make Buffy jealous?"
"No." Cordelia said bluntly.
"Then she will focus more on…" Angel tried again.
The brunette cut him off again. "No."
Angel watched Cordelia finish her make up. "But…"
"Angel, no. Buffy is my friend." Cordelia said getting her bathing suite out of the white dresser. "I have to admit there was a slight appeal when I noticed you and okay it was hot that you were on the basketball team. I was even going to try to steal you from Buffy but not anymore. She's my friend now, I'm not going to hurt her or help you hurt her."
"I don't want to hurt her." Angel sighed, sitting down on Cordelia's bed. "I just... will you help me make her jealous?"
"You don't need me to help you make her jealous." Cordelia laughed. "After what she said to Ms. French I have a feeling she is always going to get jealous if a girl as much as checks you out! Just talk to her Angel. You said she didn't want Spike here to begin with so, they can't be that tight. Why don't you spend some time with your girlfriend and see what's going on?"
"That is actually kind of smart." He said surprised that Cordelia had just said it.
"Hey, I have my moments! Now..." She held up two bathing suits. "Which one do you think I would look hotter in?"
0o0o0
Buffy sat down on Xander's bed, getting comfortable, sitting with her legs crossed as Xander started to throw clothes out of the dresser. "Xan, what are you doing?"
"Looking for something to wear." Xander picked up a shirt, thinking for a moment then threw it back in the drawer.
"Whatever." Buffy rolled her eyes with a smile, sometimes he was as bad as a girl. "So, are you going to tell me what's going on with Cordelia?"
"What?" Xander asked, confused. "She's your friend, why would you ask me?"
"Because I'm pretty sure she likes you." Buffy raised her eyebrows at him. "And I'm also pretty sure you two were like flirting at dinner."
Xander narrowed his eyes at his best friend. "Has it really been that long since someone flirted with you, Buffy? That wasn't flirting."
"What would you call it then?" Buffy questioned.
Xander turned around, bringing his attention back to his clothes. "Making conversation and hoping that a perfectly nice girl gets out of a bad situation."
"Ah ha!" Buffy pointed at her best friend, shooting up onto her knees. "You said perfect!"
"Perfectly NICE. NICE, Buffy." Xander turned his head to look at her for a moment. "I just don't want to see another girl go through what you went through with Spike."
"And yet, you bring Spike here and ruin my vacation!" Buffy exclaimed.
The dark haired man shook his head and chuckled. "Buff, you were perfectly fine with Spike at dinner."
Buffy sucked on her teeth for a moment, he was right about that, but she was just being civil… for Cordelia. "Whatever." She dismissed it. "I think you like Cordelia and I'm pretty sure she likes you too."
"I don't like…" Xander started.
Buffy cut off her best friend. "Xan, I have known you long enough to tell when you like a girl and you like Cordelia! If you didn't, then you wouldn't have made those comments… asking her if she has a boyfriend and calling her beautiful. You TOTALLY like her!"
"Okay, okay." Xander dropped the clothes in his hands back into the drawer, turning around towards his best friend with his hands in the hair. "I think she is beautiful."
"Which brings me back to two things…" Buffy said, scooting to the end of the bed. "You would be in the same situation I am in… or I was in… Cordelia is still seventeen, and you, my best friend, are twenty-three."
Xander nodded, then paused. "I didn't say I wanted a relationship with her, I don't know her well enough to say that."
"Yet." Buffy smiled. "You don't know her well enough YET. Wouldn't it be cool if you two got together and you could move to Sunnydale to be with her and we could see each other every day again?"
"Whoa!" Xander started to panic. "I said she was beautiful and two minutes later you have us living in Pleasantville!"
"Not Pleasantville." Buffy whispered. "Sunnydale."
Xander made his way over to the bed, sitting next to her. "Same thing."
Buffy pursed her lips, before smiling at her best friend. "You could get to know her here. We could double date!"
Xander let out a short laugh. "You really aren't giving up on this are you?"
Buffy shook her head.
"Fine. One date wouldn't hurt." He gave Buffy a small smile. He would do anything for Buffy after all. "And what about the other thing?"
"What other thing?" The blonde asked confused.
Xander smiled wider and shook his head. "You said me thinking Cordelia was beautiful brings you to two things…"
"Oh!" Buffy exclaimed, realizing what he was talking about. "Anya! What is going on with that?"
"Nothing." He shrugged. "Don't you think if something was going on with that then she would be here with us?"
Buffy shook her head. "I just figured she didn't want to leave LA because she needed to count her money or something. You said you wanted her beside you though, what happened?" She asked, nudging him with her shoulder.
"I like her, I really do." Xander sighed. "But she kept canceling our dates so she could work, she hates her job but like you said, she loves money."
Buffy nodded, she knew Anya well and that was one woman who loved her money. "Cordelia loves money too, but luckily for you, she doesn't want to work for it."
Xander laughed. "So, when are we going to do this double date thing? I want to get to know Angel better."
"Well." Buffy took a deep breath. "You will have to ask her out first, and I will have to make sure it's okay with Angel for you to ask Cordelia out."
"Why…?" Xander was completely confused. Why would it matter to Angel who Cordelia dated?
Buffy shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Angel is like in love with her."
"I thought Angel was in love with you?" Xander asked. If Angel was going to hurt Buffy and end up going out with Cordelia, then the two guys would have a problem. Xander didn't take kindly to someone hurting his best friend.
Buffy shrugged. "He says he loved me, I feel like he loves me. It's just… She's his first love, how often do you get over your first love?"
"I don't know, are you over Riley?" Xander questioned, but instead of waiting for an answer, an answer that he already knew was a big fat YES, he continued. "And I thought you said that Angel had never had a girlfriend before you. That would mean you are technically his first love. Cordelia was his first obsession."
"What's the difference?" Buffy wondered. She knew the difference for a girl, but when it came to guys, they were still a mystery to her in some ways.
"Oh, there is a big difference!" Xander laughed. "Obsessions you get over, first loves you never forget. You are forever burned into his mind now, Summers."
Buffy smiled, she wondered if that was true.

"What else are we doing today?" Doyle asked, shoving a fork full of macaroni and cheese into his mouth. Cordelia watched him in disgust, she couldn't believe how he behaved!
Xander shrugged. "I was thinking maybe us guys could go golfing, let the girls go shopping or something."
Buffy shook her head, lightly adjusting her maroon sarong over her bathing suit bottoms. "Angel doesn't golf, neither do Gunn and Doyle." Buffy looked to Spike. "Same goes for Spike."
"Hey, now!" Spike protested. "What makes you think I didn't take up golfing since the last time we saw each other?"
The blonde raised her eyebrows at her ex-boyfriend. "I don't see you hitting balls with the elite, I mean, we went mini golfing and your temper flared up because you couldn't get the ball in the clown's mouth!"
"Who said anything about elite?" Spike asked, drinking his orange juice and a splash of vodka. "Just the rich." The bleach blonde nodded towards Xander. "We go golfing."
"And the ball makes it in the hole?" Buffy raised her eyebrows at him, earning a smile from Cordelia.
"The ball makes it into the pond." Xander mumbled, taking a drink of his own orange juice.
Buffy gave the two men a knowing smile. "If you want to do something, just you guys then why not play basketball?"
Xander shook his head. "We won't be able to talk playing basketball, I wanted to get to know Angel better… and you guys too, of course." Xander motioned to Gunn and Doyle.
The three boys shook their head and Buffy laughed. "I went golfing with my daddy once, I don't know how they can stay out in that heat." Cordelia adjusted her sunglasses, she loved eating outside when it was sunny and beautiful, but as soon as a bug even went anywhere near the table she would be gone! "There are so many holes! But, I totally support rich guys playing golf."
"As long as a guy is rich, you would support him doing anything." Gunn whispered, taking a bite of his omelette.
Buffy turned towards Angel beside her. "Any suggestions on what you guys could do and still be able to talk, because Xander is a little girl?"
"I'm the little girl?" Xander exclaimed. "You always want to talk about feelings."
Buffy laughed. "Me? You are a hot mess, Harris!"
"Excuse me?" Cordelia interrupted. "Xander isn't a hot mess." She turned to the dark haired boy to her left. "Doyle is a hot mess."
"Am not." Doyle pouted. He should have known that Cordelia would like rich guys that golfed. He couldn't help the money part but he could at least try to golf. "I say we golf."
Buffy and Angel both looked to Doyle, surprised.

"I have no idea what to wear." Angel sighed looking through his clothes. He was still surprised that Doyle had wanted to go golfing, and because it was Xander, Spike and Doyle for golfing and himself and Gunn against it, they were going golfing. Now he needed to find something that was acceptable to wear to some fancy golf club or whatever it was that rich people went to.
Buffy sighed, leaning back on the bed in the hotel suite she shared with Angel. "Maybe you will get lucky and they will end up going to mini golf."
Angel looked at his girlfriend, not impressed.
"Yeah, you're right." Buffy sighed again. "But there is still a small chance. I mean, Xander has money now but just a few short years ago we were so poor we were digging holes in the back yard and using tree branches as golf clubs."
Angel laughed. "I highly doubt that."
"Okay, so we weren't THAT poor." Buffy laughed. "You will be fine, you can't be any worse than I was the first time I went. I didn't even hit the ball! I sung and the club went flying out of my hands!"
"Once again…" Angel smiled. "I highly doubt that."
"No, for real." Buffy pouted. "That did happen."
Angel laughed again. "Ouch."
Buffy nodded. "You will be fine. Oh!" Buffy sat up straighter. "I have two questions to ask you, do you care if Xander asks Cordelia out and if not, would you like to double?"
"I guess that would depend on how the golfing goes." Angel sat beside her.
Buffy nodded, but stopped to look at him. "Which question was that answering?"
Angel narrowed his eyes and his girlfriend. "The second one. Why would I care if he asked Cordelia out?"
Buffy shrugged. "I was just wondering because of your history."
"Yeah, history." Angel nodded. "That's exactly what it is. Me and Cordelia are friends now, I have no say on who she dates. I would just prefer it not be Percy."
"Me too." Buffy smiled. "So, if golfing goes well then we will double?"
Angel smiled back at her. "Yeah, we can double." He leaning over her, kissing her softly then guided her back on the bed. "I have the perfect way to take my mind off golfing."

"Okay, so we are shopping and then having dinner. Just the two of us?" Cordelia asked Buffy as they walked down the sidewalk towards the clothing stores.
Buffy stopped walking, placing her hand on Cordelia's arm to stop her too. "Wait, he didn't ask you?"
Cordelia looked at Buffy, confused.
"I take that as a no." The blonde sighed, then shrugged. "He probably just figured I would do it. Xander was going to ask you out." Buffy smiled. "We were going to double tonight."
Cordelia raised her eyebrows, her heart started to race. "Xander Harris wants to go on a date with me?!"
Buffy nodded, smiling at her friend. She knew Cordelia liked him! "I know it's really short notice but if it goes well then we will have plenty of time for more dates before we have to go back home."
Cordelia smiled, she normally would have liked more time to prepare but Buffy was right, they were only going to be here for a week. They needed to go on their date as soon as possible She also would have liked it if he asked her himself, but Xander had money so she could over look that. Not to mention, he probably has an assistant or something that does everything for him. "Why aren't we going on said date right now then?!"
Buffy laughed. "Because Xander wants to get to know Angel better. Now, come on." Buffy smiled, looping her arm with Cordelia's. "Let's pick out a new outfit for tonight!"
Cordelia had suggested that they check out the DASH store, Buffy wasn't big on the Kardashians, it had nothing to do with the actual sisters. It was more about the fact that she thought the clothes were extremely simple yet overpriced. "So, what does Xander like?" The brunette asked. "What kind of man is he? Leg man? Ass man? Boob man?"
Buffy took a deep breath. "Okay, all though he does like… well, everything." She let out a short chuckle. "He really likes legs. So something short, but not too short because he does actually like a classy woman." Buffy looked at the clothes on the racks for a moment before picking up a black off the shoulder mini dress with long sleeves. "Here, try this on. But if it's any shorter than mid-thigh, it's a no go."
As Cordelia went into the fitting room, Buffy looked around the store for a dress for herself. She also saw a few other dresses for Cordelia to try on if the off the shoulder mini dress didn't work out for her. She casually picked up the dresses for Cordelia. Buffy smiled when she saw a black bustier bodycon dress, she quickly grabbed it, she hung the dresses on the outside of her friend's door and went into the dressing room beside Cordelia. "There are a couple more hanging on the door for you."
"Oh my god, Buffy!" Cordelia shouted. "I need to go shopping with you all the time! I love how this looks!"
Buffy smiled, she always had an eye for what looked good on someone but when she came to picking out a dress that she knew her best friend would like, it was so simple! She had even gone out shopping with Anya, as much as she didn't want to. Anya was a strange woman, but Xander had been dating for a while, so Buffy had to like her. "Try the other ones too." Buffy called to her friend as she started to take her clothes off to replace them with the dress she had picked for herself.

Xander hopped out of the golf cart, swinging the rented golf club in his right hand as he walked up to the first hole. The club didn't feel as comfortable in his hand as his own did, but he hadn't planned on golfing on Spring Break, otherwise, he would have brought his own clubs. Xander turned to his best friend's boyfriend and his friends. Spike was busy looking at a young woman who was golfing with an older man, probably her grandfather. "Have you ever been golfing?"
"Mini golfing." Gunn told the dark haired man.
Doyle shrugged. "It can't be that much different."
Angel laughed. "How about a lot different. You can't even get the ball in the hole in mini golf."
"Maybe I want to learn." Doyle told his best friend, then turned to Xander. "How good are you?"
Xander shrugged with a smile. "I don't suck but I wasn't a master at it like the Buffster's dad."
Angel's head snapped towards Xander at the mention of Buffy's dad. Buffy didn't talk much about him but he gathered he wasn't the best father. "You know her dad well?"
Xander sighed and nodded, glancing over at Spike to see he was now checking out another girl. "Better than I would like to. He wasn't always horrible but he could have been better, that's for sure." Buffy's best friend turned to her ex-boyfriend. "What did you even come for?"
"We are in South Beach." Spike held his hands out, as if it was obvious. Xander shook his head, waiting for the bleach blonde to elaborate. Spike rolled his eyes dramatically. "The woman!"
"Of course! Why didn't I already know that?" Xander mumbled. "So, normally we would pick names to see what order we go in but who wants to tee off?"
The three boys shrugged as Spike slowly started to wonder off in the direction of a girl in a short skirt.
"He always like that?" Gunn asked Xander, watching Spike wonder off.
"No." Xander shook his head quickly. "He's normally worse. More in your face about it."
Gunn wondered about Spike, he seemed pretty cool until a short skirt was around, then his mind instantly seemed to go to sex. He reminded Gunn of a sexed up teenage boy. "Is that how he got Buffy? Was he in her face about it?"
"You like Buff too, huh?" Xander laughed, Angel glared at his friend at Xander's comment.
"Liked." Gunn corrected him. "She's an awesome chick, and when I first saw her, yeah, I wanted her but she wanted Angel."
Xander nodded, tossing his golf ball in the air and catching it. "Everyone falls for the Buffster, I'll admit I even asked her out once, raging hormones during puberty and she was the only girl I hung out with. That kind of thing. She said she didn't see me that way though and we went back to being best friends like it never happened." Xander laughed. "Sometimes I don't even know if she remembers that happening." Xander looked around the golf course, maybe a game wasn't the right way to start, he did start off by making sure he could actually hit the ball. Thinking of the first time he went golfing reminded him of Buffy missing the ball and her club going flying out of her hands, he couldn't help but laugh at the memory. "Why don't we actually head over and test hit some balls? We don't want a rehap of Buffy. Anyway, to answer your question, no. Spike wasn't all in Buffy's face. He was the new guy in town and although, he was a little weird, he didn't know Buffy and at the time, that was exactly what she needed. Her high school sweetheart had just broken up with her and for some reason Spike was one of the only people she could talk to."
Gunn took a deep breath, now they had to walk somewhere else? Why didn't they just go there to begin with! "So, if Spike was one of the only people she could talk to then why did she punch him when we got here?"
"They dated." Xander said, simply. "He wasn't as good of a boyfriend as he was a friend."
Angel stayed quiet, he might get more information if he was quiet than if he asked Xander questions. Gunn seemed to be asking all the right questions anyway!
"What did he do to her?" Gunn asked. Angel glanced at his friend, another very good question!
"He pulled her into stuff that she wouldn't have normally done." Xander said climbing back into the golf cart, once everyone was in he started to drive off. Angel turned back to see Spike flirting with the girl in the short skirt. "Spike was into a lot of partying, drinking, drugs… all the stuff Buffy had dabbled in, except the drugs of course, but Spike threw her right into the middle of it. Then there was the cheating, Buffy knew all about him cheating on her but never said anything."
Angel shook his head, he hated to think of someone treating Buffy like that. He finally spoke up. "Why would she stay with him if he did all that?"
"I asked her the same question." Xander told her boyfriend, keeping his eyes in front of him, wouldn't want to hit anyone on the golf course. "She could never answer me, I think it had something to do with our friend, Faith. Faith had, has…" Xander corrected himself. "…the worse luck with guys. She only dates losers. Faith rubbed off a lot on Buffy."
"Buffy was the one who broke up with Spike though, right?" Gunn asked, he glanced over at Doyle who was just looking at the scenery on the course.
Xander nodded. "She just woke up one day and was over it, over Spike. She cut off all contact with him. That was about six months before she moved to Sunnydale. I didn't like that she moved to Sunnydale but I got it, I understood why she needed to get away."
An hour later, Xander noticed that although Doyle wasn't doing too horribly on the course, he seemed very determined to learn the game, his two friends seemed miserable. Angel did put in a good amount of effort in the beginning though. Xander actually found himself liking Angel and his two friends. It was at that moment when Spike found the group, they hadn't seen him since they had first gotten there. "Hey, man!" Xander greeted his bleach blonde friend. "Where have you been?"
"Made some new friends." Spike grinned.
Xander shook his head and laughed. Spike was so predictable. "What was her name?"
Spike pursed his lips and thought for a moment. "Didn't catch it."
Angel rolled his eyes, he couldn't believe Buffy had dated that guy!
"Well, I think we are about to head out." Xander said looking to the other guys.
Doyle's shoulders slumped. "Really?"
Xander nodded and smiled. "Angel and I need to get ready for our night out."

After spending a few hours at the DASH store, Cordelia had decided to get all five of the dresses that Buffy had picked out for her. If things went well she would have a new dress for every night of the week they were there, Buffy assured her that Xander would love them all. The girls were getting ready in Cordelia's room so that Angel could get ready in his and Buffy's room. Cordelia hadn't had the chance to see the dress on her friend while they were at the store because she was trying on so many other ones, but looking at Buffy now, Cordelia was impressed.
Buffy had on the bustier bodycon dress, it had thin spaghetti straps, with a low cut sweetheart neckline and the dress ended right below her bottom. The dress put a whole new meaning to a mini dress and fit like a second skin. Buffy smoothed her hands over the dress, down her midsection, looking in the full length mirror, then up at Cordelia. When she saw the look on her friends face, she turned around to look at her backside in the mirror. "What?" She asked, looking for something that wasn't there. "What is it?"
"Nothing." Cordelia smiled, making her way over to the mirror to stand beside Buffy. She looked at herself in her black skin tight black dress. She had to admit, she was in love with the long sleeved mini dress. Her dress wasn't anywhere as mini as Buffy's but according to her friend, that was what Xander liked. "I'm just impressed." She checked her make up one last time. "We look hot."
Buffy fixed a piece of hair that was only slightly out of place then gently guided her pinky finger across her bottom lip. "Yeah, we do." She smiled.
"So." Cordelia turned to Buffy. "What are our chances of getting sex tonight?"
"Me, it's a guarantee." Buffy smiled. "You, it's a possibility. Now come on, I know for a fact that our dates for the night don't like to be kept waiting." Taking Cordelia by the hand, Buffy lead her towards the door.
Both Angel and Xander were waiting by the couch.
"Ay, caramba!" Xander smiled when he saw Cordelia. "You look beautiful."
Buffy smiled flirtatiously at Angel as he walked towards her, Cordelia looked surprised when he quickly grabbed Buffy, kissing her passionately.
Xander let out a nervous sigh. "I guess he likes the dress."
Cordelia smiled, shaking her head. "I guess Buffy knows what both of you like."
Buffy and Angel broke apart, breathing heavy. Buffy smiled up at her boyfriend. "As much as I would love to continue this, we should actually go on the date."
Angel nodded with a smirk on his face. "You look gorgeous, baby."
Buffy placed her hands on his maroon silk shirt. "You don't look so bad yourself."
Cordelia cleared her throat, getting their attention.

Buffy helped Cordelia and Xander start a conversation, she knew how awkward it could be when on a first date. But, Buffy found it hard to concentrate on what they were talking about when Angel's hand was lightly caressing her thigh as he whispered into her ear. It was a sure bet that he loved the dress. It wasn't long before they two were in a heated make out session across the table from Xander and Cordelia. Buffy smiled, a pleasurable sigh escaped her lips when Angel latched on to the sensitive skin on Buffy's neck. She thought she heard Xander make a comment about her and Angel making out like horny teenagers and to be honest, that's how she felt!
Buffy was surprised that they even made it the first hour before sneaking into the woman's restroom at the fancy Italian restaurant to have sex. Once they returned to the table their hormones were under control, at least for the time being. Buffy and Spike had, had sex in restrooms a lot, but her experience with Angel was even better. With Angel it was passionate but loving at the same time, while with Spike it was more about him and doing it just because he could. Buffy looked to Angel with a bright smile, she was so happy that she had found him.
"So, now that the lust bunnies are under control." Xander smiled at the couple across the table and then turned to Cordelia. "How long have you and Angel been friends?"
"Oh, not long at all." Cordelia shook her head. "Maybe, four months."
"Don't you two go to the same school?" Xander asked.
Buffy shook her head. "Xander, we weren't in high school that long ago. You know how people run in different circles. Not everyone is friends with everyone."
"Oh, I don't know." Xander smiled, sipping his wine. "You seemed like you were friends with everyone in high school. I wasn't. I think it was part of your job as Captain of the cheerleading squad, Homecoming Queen, May Queen, Prom Queen…"
"Wait." Cordelia held her hands up, stopping Xander, then turned to Buffy. "You were me in your high school?"
Buffy nodded and smiled. "Pretty much. I dated the jock and everything. But my jock was nicer than yours."
"They all are!" Cordelia exclaimed then turned to Xander. "Angel and I actually became friends because of Buffy. Well, at least it started because of Buffy. She got him to talk to me at a party."
"That wasn't to become first though." Buffy laughed.
Xander nodded, he knew all about Angel and his obsession with Cordelia a few months back. "Buff told me about you liking Cordelia, Angel."
Angel nodded at the other man. "It feels like a lifetime ago."
"What do you mean?" Cordelia questioned.
Xander scooted closer to Cordelia in his chair. "You didn't know Buffy sent him to talk to you in hopes that you two would get together?"
Cordelia looked at her blonde friend, shocked. "But, you said you liked Angel the first time you saw him."
"That is true." Buffy set her glass of water down after taking a sip. "Doesn't mean I knew he should be with someone his own age. Also, he totally had the hots for you."
"Clearly you got him." Cordelia smiled. "So, you have dated a jock, a bad boy and a brain. Which do you like better?"
Buffy smiled up at Angel. "The brain."
"Are you just saying that because he is here?" Cordelia joked.
Xander shook his head, answering for his best friend. "It's true, I have lived through all three of those relationships with her and she is the happiest she has ever been right now. Plus, there is that thing where she never told the other guys that she loved that."
Angel smiled back down at Buffy and kissed her.
"How about we get back to your first date instead of talking about my… stuff." Buffy commented.
"Yeah, okay… First date questions." Xander thought for a second. "First date questions…." He drummed his finger tips on the table. "It's clearly been a while….Best friend? And what do you like about them!"
Cordelia laughed. "I think we have the same best friend." She motioned to Buffy. "And what I like about her, she can pick out a killer dress for me in like thirty seconds flat!" She motioned to her dress. "And she helped me realize how crappy of a situation I was in and gave me an outlet to vent."
Angel shook his head laughed. "And here I thought I did that."
"Don't get me wrong, Angel. You did, you are a great listener." Cordelia reassured him. "I just needed a girl."
"A girl from the outside of the situation who had witnessed it first-hand." Buffy pointed out.
Cordelia nodded then turned back to Xander. "Is it weird that we are saying the things we like about our best friend when she is sitting right across the table from her?"
"A little." Xander agreed. "But she loves it!" He looked to Buffy for a moment then back to Cordelia. "What is your biggest goal right now?"
"Passing my senior year." Cordelia laughed.
Angel held his glass up to Cordelia. "Here too!"
Cordelia smiled at her friends then looked to Xander. "What about you?"
"Um…" Xander put his glass down without taking a drink. "Starting my own construction company, actually."
"Oh wow!" Cordelia smiled brighter. She knew Xander had money but having your own business meant more money, didn't it?
Buffy took a bite of the bread stick that was in the basket in the center of the table. "That's a big thing to take on, big brother."
Xander nodded in agreement. "I know, I watched you single handedly build a company when you were a teenager though. If I have any questions, I will make sure to come to you."
Buffy laughed. "I will help as much as possible but construction is completely different than clothes!"

"How do you think their date went?" Buffy asked her boyfriend hopefully after they got home from the restaurant.
Angel unbuttoned his shirt, tossing it in a chair. "Well, considering I have only ever gone on a date with you and that was after we had been sleeping together for months…. I don't think it went horrible."
Buffy laughed. "Okay, I see your point. They seemed to like each other though, they were smiling a lot."
Angel nodded as he unbuttoned his pants. "There were smiles."
Buffy crawled over to the other side of the bed, stopping in front of him. She looped her index finger into the belt loops on his paints and smiled. "Earlier Cordelia asked me what our chances were at sex tonight…"
"We had sex at the restaurant." He smirked.
Buffy smiled even brighter. "And we can only have sex once?"
Angel shook his head, he would never deny her, but he also knew her pretty well after dating for six months. "Finish getting ready for bed first?"
Buffy smiled. He knew her so well, but that also made her feel like some kind of old person. Was she really that predictable? Did she really have to finish her nightly routine before she could have sex with her boyfriend? When did that happen and why hadn't she noticed it before? She pouted as she made her way into the bathroom to brush her teeth.
"You know…" Buffy called from the bathroom. "You never told me how golf went."
Angel shook his head even though he knew she couldn't see him. "It went okay. Doyle was better than us. Although, we didn't really spend much time with Spike because he took off in the beginning and came back right before we were going to leave. He said pulling the blanket down the bed. "So what did you ever see in Spike?"
Buffy walked out of the bathroom as she put some lotion on her hands and rubbed it in. "Honestly, I have no idea."
"How long were you with him?" He asked laying down on the bed.
"A while." She said looking at her hands as she rubbed the lotion in. "Whatever I saw back then I don't see now. I look at him and I see someone who doesn't fit into my life anymore. But I do miss what we had... friendship wise. When Xander wasn't around Spike was who I could talk to. Although Xander not being around hardly ever happened. We have been joined at the hip since we met in second grade." She laid down resting her head on his chest.
"So you don't want him here?" Angel asked hopefully.
"If I had it my way, no. He wouldn't be here. Spending this week with just you would be amazing." She whispered and kissed him. She loved the feel of his skin under her hand, as she trailed her hand down his chest. She didn't finish her nightly routine which made her feel a little odd but at the same time, good. She didn't want to turn into someone who did the same thing every day.
