I was still floating within the darkness even though I had figured out what I was doing and just how the wolf and I were related. It was odd now though, it was as if the darkness was lifting as the the barrier between us and our minds was dissipating and was coming to meet an equilibrium somewhere in between.

The wolf was confused and she was no longer sitting still as her Alpha had ordered her to, instead she was pacing, she didn't know how to react to having the barrier between us to leave. It was almost as if she was afraid of me, much like a dog that had been backed into a corner and had no clear way to get out or to escape.

"What's wrong?" I could faintly hear Loki ask her but she shook her head unable to respond to him as she only had the mind to speak wolf speech and was unable to form proper words due to her muzzle and chops. I didn't concern myself with that for the time being, instead I focused on calming the wolf and making the transition smoother.

I used to fear her and I used to want to run from her and separate our minds as soon as possible but now it was as if the roles had switched on the two of us and I realized now that she had been as afraid of me as I had been of her. When the dark fully lifted she went deathly still and her eyes widened as none of her muscles responded to what she wanted them to do. They were locked in place.

I could now see exactly where our minds met one another as if there were a piece of glass between the two and as I drew closer to the glass I was shocked to see that it was not my reflection in the glass, but what I would look like as if I were a mix of a woman and a wolf. The wolf seemed to see the same thing as it was a mix of the two of us.

It was no longer just one reflection looking back, it was now a familiar stranger, someone who looked so much like you, but you knew that it had to be you but whom ever it was looking back at you looked too different for it to be true. It was odd, it was the true equilibrium of our minds in the mix of who we were in personality and who we were in looks and soul wavelength.

The woman in the reflection had my skin, figure and body, but wrapped around her's chest, fore-arms, calves and lower torso was what looked like fur underclothes. It covered up all of our vital body parts and it had the wolf's fur color. The woman had a tail like that of the wolf's and had wolf ears set upon her head, her face was mine and her eyes there the wolf's. Her reactor shined brightly in the center of the collar-bone just as it had for the both of us and she was barefoot.

The wolf was still scared though, our shared body not responding to her and was now doing something even I didn't expect and something that I was beginning to fear, it was forming a stony skin, almost like a shell over our body and we felt the fear all the same as the stone traveled up completely surrounding us leaving us to a shared darkness.

It was only now that the wolf seemed to realize that the fear we were feeling was the same thing and it intrigued her, it was her own form of a revelation to see that we were not so different after all. I smiled at the reflection and the reflection smiled back as did the wolf. It was different, it was new, but it was alright.

We were going to have to get used to thinking so closely to one another, but it was going to be alright because we were going to be able to make it through and we were going to be able learn to rely on one another. We didn't have to keep fighting one another, we could just agree to disagree and try to find a common ground.

It was this thought that was the finality between the two that sent the glass separating us shattering down to the ground and the stone that surrounded us to begin to crack and crumble. It was not that the stone was keeping us in or was trying to harm is, it was more like the shell a caterpillar puts up around itself to help the change into a butterfly.

As the stone cracked it gave way to our new form, somewhere between human and wolf. It was almost odd to watch the rock crumble away like it was nothing and to see form both a mental standpoint and a physical standpoint when before it had only been one or the other. I lifted up my hands to look at them curiously.

My nails were sharp as knives and for some reason this filled me with a giddy and joyous feeling as a wide smile found it's way onto my face as a soft laugh escaped me, followed by another one and soon enough I was doubled over with laughter, unable to stop. "Ekati?" I freeze, my mind recognizing it as the voice of someone I should fight against, but the wolf recognizing it as someone to obey.

It only took moments for me to realize it would be best if I let the wolf follow him and his orders until we managed to find the others and explain what happened so I straightened up and let the wolf take over, "Yes Alpha?" She asked looking over at him. The simple reaction of her addressing him as such made his eyes light up with a sort of hunger, a hunger for some form of power I couldn't understand.

"We are almost there my pet, when we get there I want you to keep an eye out for the Avengers and tell me if you see any of them so much as looking at the Stark tower." I almost flinched at the mentioning of Tony's place but I easily covered it up and nodded, "Of course Alpha Loki."
