The Wise One reached the barrier just as it solidified. They had breached the Castle already, and all the Psychics and Volatauiq soldiers were pouring into it's unnatural darkness, seeking out their enemy. The Wise One's gaze drifted to the Psychic on the other side of the barrier. An Arcadiniq Ancient.
"Remove the barrier." The Wise One said telepathically, but the Psychic did nothear and his voice rebounded. The Wise One realised his mind was denied to anything inside the barrier.

"Remove the barrier." He said aloud. The Psychic heard this and said, "No. We are doing you a service. We are ridding ourselves of those who would see us destroy ourselves completely and utterly. Do not impede us."

"You are not ridding yourselves of anything, you are just creating a problem bigger than you can handle, and it may destroy you. You have to get everyone out of that place now. Something very unnatural lives within it." The Psychic was beginning to falter. "What are you talking about?"

The Wise One didn't answer. He was concentrating hard on the Castle. The sounds of fighting could be heard even through the barrier, from where he stood.

"The Elders do not exist, at least not in our world or dimension. The people you are slaughtering are nothing more than vessels for a greater power. The 'Elders' are the connection between this reality and whatever is on the other side." The Wise One explained grimly.

"How long has this been like this?" The Psychic asked, fear, concern and anger washing over his features.
"For a very long time."
"How can I believe you?" The Psychic asked again, looking over his shoulder. The sounds of fighting was beginning to die out.
"Remove the barrier and I will show you." The Wise One said, fixing his gaze onto his adversary. Behind him, Sigil and Noxa stood in silence.

Suddenly, everything inside the sphere flickered. The Psychic was on his knees, blood coming out of his eyes. The barrier in front of him went black and all he heard was rushing air. In the midst of the sudden chaos was clarity: a growling voice.

I am the sky, the earth, and everything between.

A deathly cold chill permeated through the Wise One's entire body and he felt himself freeze. That voice sound dangerously familiar. The barrier slowly returned to its clear state, and the Psychic was seen sprinting into the looming shape of the Castle like an Ancient possessed.

Breaking out of his reverie, the Wise One brought his sword down onto the barrier. Yusai, Empyrean, and his brother surrounded them, but the Wise One did not falter. Seeing the Volatauiq were unfazed, Empyrean lowered his sword. "Can you not stay in your mountains?" Sigil said, half-tauntingly. Empyrean ignored the taunt and shifted his attention onto the Wise One.

His sword kept bouncing off the wall, doing no visible damage at all. It was indestructible. As the new arrivals got their weapons ready to help, the Wise One motioned for them to stop. They stepped back as the Wise One closed his eyes and seemed to become like a statue, breathing in and out deeply.

Minutes went by like centuries as the Wise One focused. Those around him were very still, not wanting to break into the Wise One's consciousness. His eyes snapped open, growing brighter then ever.

With a mighty roar, the Wise One brought his sword in a perfect arc down on the barrier for the last time.

A deafening shattering sound made them all fall to their knees as the barrier came apart from the Wise One's full-on attack. It shattered like ice and snow over the Castle, melting into nothing before it could reach the Castle itself.

The Wise One strode towards the Castle, surrounded by falling pieces of pure energy. His eyes were fixed on the shattered remnants of the doorway.
