11. It's no use without you
"dammit!" I whisper wiping away the blood from the corner of my mouth... "I'm not strong enough" I get back up to my feet and fall back over.
"hey!" I look up to see Black stars weapon running over to me with concern on her face. "If you push yourself too hard you'll loose all of your energy, so calm down, it'll take some time, don't try to force in one go" She came down to my side and helped me to my feet, Black star came up from behind her with his hands behind his head.
"I don't feel right winning a battle without someone who's depleted they're energy" I grit my teeth together and look at him, his face changed, almost as if he feared me
"No! I can do this just let me go one more time!" I huffed out and my eyes getting narrowed. I never felt so determined to discover my strengths.
"It's no good, plus the sun has set..." I look back at the girl, and she had a sincere smile on her face like she was trying to calm me down. " I understand how important it is to understand your strength, but you can't do it if you push yourself too hard. believe finding the strength to be who you are doesn't come from power but from knowledge and acceptance of your own ability believe me I know, you just have to trust yourself."
I let me fist go a bit and sit back on the ground, she crashed next to me. "it's so important..." I whispered and black star sat next to me. "It's so important to prove my point."
He smiled and looked away fast. "I get it." I looked back at him. He didn't yell it at me, or say "as big a man as me..." like he usually does but he sincerely meant it. I fall over and looked up at the stars. "You wanna just hang out for the rest of the night with us? you know to give yourself a break from all of this?"
I look up and he was standing next to me with his hand stretched out. I grabbed it jumped to my feet. "Thanks guys, I guess I was getting in over my head."
"Well a little more than over your head... ow" His weapon smacked him in the back of the head and turned really fast.
"Hey, thanks... I'm sorry I forgot your name..." I blushed a bit.
"Tsubaki... and don't worry about it." I walked home with them and we hung out for a bit before heading back to my place. I flopped over on my bed and sighed. Do I really want to push myself like that... suddenly my head started to throb. I grasped my head and rolled over in my bed before everything became pitch black.
"Hey!" I look over to my right and noticed two silhouettes standing in a beam of light. "Don't push yourself... your going to drain your energy before you know what you realize who you are." Stein... I look at the two, the little girl with her cheeks puffed out, and her fists on her hips.
"You don't even know what I am!" She moved her hands folded across her chest. "No one does... except her... the only one I can remember..." She looked about 12 and her face dropped. Stein walked over and placed a hand on her cheek she looked up at him and he smiled down at her.
"I know, but you don't want to push yourself, you want to have the strength to transform on your own, it's better to try a little at a time, so you can try and try again, then to waste all of your energy at once. sure you can do that when your in an extreme situation, but you don't want to ever just go full force when your just training, and unlocking your potential."
She was about to say something when a light glowed around her. Stein took a step back shielding his eyes from her, and I couldn't look as the light flashed. As the light started to dim out, I lower my hands to face stein, his face shocked. He fell to the ground and his hand was shaking.
"Your power... it's... overwhelming... your... your..." My eyes widen as I turn to look at the little girl. I feel my body whip around to look at her, but when I faced her direction I was looking at the wall of my apartment. I started panting, and I could feel sweat coming off of my forehead.
"What the heck was that?!" I shout and throw a pillow at the wall and flop over frustrated. I was so close, and that memory... wait a minute, Stein he saw me transform... does that mean he's my...
"Well that wasn't very nice..." I jump up and Stein has his head poking in through the window. "You almost hit me." He swung his legs down and climbed through the window.
"What do you mean... I didn't..." He grabbed my fist as I was swinging it around. "Oh..." He leaned into me and I found him pressed against me his lips curving to mine. I feel the moan slip past my lips, as we fall over onto the bed. "Wait..." I push him off as he is reaching up to lift off my shirt.
"What is it?"
"You know what I am?" He nods. "You saw the first time I transformed?" He adjusted his glasses and smirked. "So does that mean that your my..." He closed the space between us and I found us locked in a kiss again.
"I see you unlocked another memory, be careful if you unlock anymore they will find you..." He let go of me and climbed out of the bed.
"Wait! But you never answered my question... You keep changing the subject... I need to know are you?"
"Just be careful going forward..." He jumped out the window again and I leaned out to look for him... Why they heck did he show up here if he wasn't going to answer my question... or even finish what he was doing? Annoyed. I throw myself down onto my pillow and screamed. Whatever his loss. I calm down and bring my hand up to my face. I sigh and flop it down in front of me. It's no use without Stein.
