Hi there! I'm back with another chapter of KKD! Long time, no see with this one, which is why I'm working on stories this week to catch up. So that means in this case, the return of 'psycho' Amber. In this chapter, it's Hildegard's wedding, and everyone is invited... even the king himself, so Amber decided to make numerous attempts to end him. Will they work? Let's find out.
Disclaimer: I do not own Sofia the First. They belong to Disney Junior.
Chapter 6: Wedding Bells & Raising Hell
Amber picked out her finest dress... it was a more modernized version of the dress she had worn when her father married her stepmother...
Her father...
Oh just thinking about him made her furious. Just how could he do this to her? Just how could he? Well, no matter, because she would find a way to end his days once and for all.
But... maybe not today, for today was Hildegard's wedding. And she couldn't miss her best friend's big day at all. As she put on the dress, fixed her hair in a nice bun, and put on her finest tiara, she walked out of her room, and down to the throne room, where her sister, brother, 'mother', Genevieve, and... father, were waiting for her.
The only thing she had noticed, was that the king was in a wheelchair... why?
"Are you ready, Amber?" Miranda asked.
"Um, yes... uh, Daddy is going?" Amber asked back, clearly surprised.
Sofia nodded, "Yeah. He may be sick, but that isn't going to stop him from going to a wedding, especially one that's for your friend, Amber."
Damn it!
"Well now, how lovely, and how are you feeling, Daddy?"
Amber's tone was dark and sly when she asked that question, but nobody had noticed it at all. The king's condition prevented him from talking, but he just gave a faint smile, which was enough of an answer for her.
You can't talk... good! Because I don't wanna here what you have to say from your stupid mouth.
With that, the family left for Tangu (Zandar's kingdom) in a flying coach. It was a long ways from Enchanica, so it took a while to get there. Amber was silent the whole time, mostly because she was beyond enraged that her father was coming along. All she wanted was to have one day without looking at him, but that wasn't going to happen today.
Unless... she can used this as an advantage to get her revenge...
About twenty minutes later, the family arrived at the Tangu palace, where dozens of royals were already entering for the event. Some of them were friends Sofia, Amber, and James knew from Royal Prep.
"Wow... a lot of people are here..." Sofia spoke as they walked inside the palace.
"Well, it is a royal wedding, Sofia." Amber replied. "So nearly every royal around is going to attend."
"Of course..."
The inside of the palace was just as full as outside. So many people. Just how many people did Hildegard invite? Did she really have that many friends?"
"Amber! Sofia! It's good to see you!"
The blonde princess then turned to see another one of her old friends, Princess Clio, who was also Hildegard's best friend. Amber smiled and hugged her, "Clio. It's been such a long time."
"I missed you." Clio admitted. "When you left five years ago, I really missed you. Hildy did as well."
"I kinda figured."
"And I couldn't wait to see you when you came to the wedding. I'm a bridesmaid."
Of course... Hildy makes her a bridesmaid, but not me. Don't worry, you may be my friend, but I'm gonna get you back for that... after I deal with my father.
Amber managed a smile, trying to hide her annoyance at not being a bridesmaid, "How nice. It must be an honor..."
Clio smiled, "Yeah... oh, I better get to my place. The wedding is about to start. See you at the reception."
And so, the princess left. As for the Enchanica family, they all took their place in their seats, as they awaited for the wedding to begin. Amber looked around the area, as she saw more friends from school, and more royals she didn't even know.
She then looked back at her father, still upset that he was here.
But... perhaps she could find a way to get her revenge here.
It was going to be risky, for any drastic actions taken could ruin the wedding as a whole, and she didn't want to do that to Hildy. So she prayed that her plans would go as planned.
She then spotted Zandar at the front, looking proud and handsome as ever.
"Hey, Zandar!" James called out, waving as his good friend. The Tangu prince waved back just as music started.
It was beginning.
Everybody arose for the priest, bridesmaids, flower girls... and the bride.
Amber had to admit, Hildegard looked beautiful. She had, of course, a white wedding dress, but it looked like a white version of the dress she used to wear when she was younger.
But all in all, Hildy looked gorgeous, and that was all that mattered.
If only that could be said for the wedding as well. The whole ceremony went by in monotone, with the priest making a whole bunch of prayers, people from Hildy and Zandar's families making speeches, Zandar and Hildy making their vows. To Amber, this seemed like a waste of time. If she knew this was going to occur, she wouldn't have bothered.
Then again, this is how it was when her father married Miranda.
The princess sighed, and then smiled when Hildegard and Zandar shared their kiss, as everyone applauds for them.
Oh Hildy...
Soon, it was time for the reception. Which took place at Hildy's kingdom in Freezenburg. And surprisingly, it took place outside. Which was odd, since Hildy was more of an inside person much like Amber. Then again, her father would often have her and James' birthday parties outside.
As Amber walked around, she had met up with Hildegard, who smiled, "Ah, Amber. I'm so glad you could make it. I'm so sorry you couldn't be a bridesmaid. I would've if you came home earlier than you did.
So it's my fault I'm not a bridesmaid? Unbelievable.
"Oh, it's okay, Hildy. I understand." Was the blonde princess' response.
So, after chatting with her friends for a while, Amber made her way to the garden of the kingdom, and decided it was time to make plans on how to make her father suffer. "Okay... so how should I do this... I want to leave him for dead... but then again, I don't want to do anything that will ruin reception... this will be harder than I thought..."
As she paced around the garden, she could see fire being shot up in the air. The chefs were putting on a show for the guest, as well as cooking the food at the same time. Seeing the fire... gave Amber an idea...
Well now, it looks like it's time for me to raise Hell in this... especially since that's where Daddy belongs.
With that, the princess, walked back to the others, where they were now having cake, "Hey, Amber! You've gotta check out this cake!" James said with a mouthful of the dessert, "It's so good."
Amber cringed a little, but smiled, "Okay... I'll try it. But not right now. I have some business I need to take care of first..."
"Okay, suit yourself."
The seventeen-year-old then walked by the food, and boiling pot, and while nobody was looking, took out small candle, and lit it. Amber smirked as she looked towards her father, who was enjoying cake in his wheelchair.
Oh Daddy... time to die!
She began to walk towards him, holding the candle firmly. Was this it? Was this her chance to finally get revenge on her father?
As she walked towards him, a royal jester jumped out of nowhere in front of her, doing a funny dance. Amber, clearly startled and annoyed, tried to move away, but he just kept flipping and dancing.
"Get out of my way!" She told him, only to be ignored.
Suddenly, he grabbed the candle and hopped away with it. "Hey!" Amber shrieked as she chased him, "Get back here with that! That's mine!"
She began to chase the jester all around the yard, being careful not to run into anybody. The guest, and even Hildegard found it rather amusing to see Amber chasing a jester. But Amber herself, did not.
She needed that candle.
She needed to kill her father!
She needed to-
"Amber! Look out!"
Huh?
She was so busy chasing, she didn't see where she was going, as she tripped over a carpet... and landed face first into the cake, causing it to splatter everywhere. The laughter increased a little, there were a few cringes and looks of sympathy.
Amber was beyond embarrassed and humiliated as she listened to the teasing laughter of everybody around her. She then felt another emotion... one... that set her off.
That emotion... was rage.
But Sofia went over to help her sister, "Amber! Are you okay?" She asked, reaching out to hug her.
SLAP!
The thirteen-year-old fell in shock, holding her right cheek, which had a red hand mark on it from the impact. Did her older sister just... slap her? Amber, covered in cake, stood up and glared daggers at her, "Don't you dare touch me!" She snarled.
Sofia was shocked to hear her sister say that, as Amber tried to clean herself off, and then snapped at the other people laughing, "And you! You have a lot of damn nerve to laugh at someones humiliation like that. Didn't anybody ever teach you about respect?!"
That's when Miranda stepped forward, "Amber, it's okay-"
"NO! No it isn't!" Amber screamed. "I was trying to get that candle, because I wanted to do something, but that damn jester stole it! I tried to get it back, I fall in a cake, and now people think it's funny! You assholes wouldn't know funny if it hit you in the ass!"
Now, Hildegard came by with a fan to cool her friend down, "Amber, calm down now... just breath-"
But then, Amber grabbed her fan and threw it far, "Don't try to calm me, Hildegard! You were laughing too!"
"I know, and it was very out of character for me. I do apolo-"
"Don't even bother apologizing either! I was willing to forgive you for not making me your bridesmaid, but now, I don't even care! For as far as I know, you other princess' are all alike: Snooty, rotten, gold digging bitches!"
Hildegard was now offended, "As if you're not one, Amber."
The blonde princess laughed with no emotion, "Really... you think I'm a bitch like you. I may be vain at times, but at least I know when I go too far. But as for you... and everyone here... you're all nothing but pathetic fools who only look for attention. But at least you don't know what it's like to lose your mother!"
The same jester from before came by, and Amber... punched him in the face, causing him to fall, as she grabbed the candle in his hand. "And now to set out what I planned to do before I came to this stupid wedding.
At that moment... she dropped the candle on the table... as the fire quickly spread.
Amber quickly left the scene of guards tried to put the fire out. As for the Enchanican family... they didn't know whether to go after Amber... or to stay and help. After witnessing what she did, they seemed afraid to even speak to her.
"Maybe I should go talk to her." Sofia spoke as she began to walk in the direction Amber was going. But then Miranda stopped her, "We had better let her calm down first, honey. I think something might be bothering her. And I intend to find out... but not right now..."
As much as she hated to admit it, she knew her mother was right. Something definitely was bothering Amber, and whatever it was... it couldn't be anything good, "Okay, Mom." Sofia replied.
As for Amber herself, she was storming towards the coach and sat in it quietly.
She was beyond furious.
She was beyond enraged.
She was beyond infuriated.
Not only did her plan fail, but she had gotten humiliated in the process. And now the only thing she set fire to, was a table. Well, she hoped that at least someone died from suffocation from the smoke.
Well, Daddy. You were lucky this time... but next time... I will get you for what you've done... just wait and see...
Whoa...
Lesson of the day: Don't laugh at Amber's humiliation.
And don't try to calm her down either.
Now, Amber's plan to kill her father sure didn't work, but maybe she'll be lucky the next time around. Next chapter, she wil reunite with someone from the past. But does this person want something? Will Amber give it to them? We shall find out in the next chapter. Well, I'll see you guys, later. And don't forget to review, please.
