Casey was used to getting hurt on the job. He had broken close to every bone in his body if you added it all together. This time around he had fallen a pretty good distance and walked away with a few broken ribs. Nothing new and certainly nothing he couldn't handle. Chuck on the other hand was always extremely worried every time he got hurt. Casey had to admit he loved having Chuck being all worried like that. It was cute.
"Chuck stop worrying about me and just go home. I'm fine" "Oh really? So this doesn't hurt?" Chuck asks as he puts a hand on Casey's ribs. Casey let out a grunt of pain "Yeah, but so? I have had broken ribs before." "And how easy is it for you to walk?" Casey couldn't help smiling a bit "I'm fine." "Fine my ass" Chuck said a in a pouty voice. "Well you do have a fine ass" Casey said with a grin. Chuck sighed "Quit it, be serious." Casey nodded "I was, but okay. What do you want? I already went to the doctor's." Chuck bit his lip "I just want you safe." Casey softened his face "I know, love. Come here."
Casey pulled Chuck into his arms so they were now lying on the couch together before answering "I want you safe too, so if it means a few broken bones, so be it." Chuck sighed and moved a bit causing Casey to groan out in pain. "Sorry" Chuck says as he shoots off of Casey's chest. "No come back" Casey says protesting to Chuck moving. "But I hurt you" Chuck said looking sad and worried. Casey pulled him back anyway and situated him so he wasn't in much pain. "Not holding you is more painful" Casey murmured in Chuck's ear. Chuck couldn't help smiling at Casey's sweetness. "I love you" he says as he slides his hand into Casey's. Casey squeezes his hand before replying "I love you." They laid there in perfect silence as Casey held Chuck. Chuck only left once he was sure Casey was asleep. He'd have stayed, but since it was against the rules to date each other they had to stay low and pretend they didn't like each other as much as they actually do.
