Maccabee Adlai
Maccabee is standing in his room in a train. He's going to Capitol. Maccabee is a tribute in the Hunger Games and he's happy about it. Really happy.
Maccabee is looking through the window. The train is moving really fast and he can't see District 2 anymore.
Maccabee is smiling. He's really excited about the Hunger Games. He's been training for the Games for a really long time. He has even killed seven people.
On the districts, killing people is illegal and it's punished with death sentence, but on District 2, the peacekeepers don't really care.
Maccabee doesn't feel bad about killing; he actually enjoys it. He is ready to kill other tributes in the Games. He can win.
Someone opens the door. Maccabee turns around. It's the female tribute from District 2.
The tribute girl is short and she has thin, blonde hair. She's fourteen years old, at most. She looks weak.
"What the hell are you doing in my room?" Maccabee asks.
"I came to ask if you want to be my ally in the arena," the girl says. "My name is Caitlin."
"Very well, Caitlin, I am…" Maccabee begins, but Caitlin interrupts him.
"I know who you are, Maccabee Adlai," Caitlin says.
"Of course you know who I am. But it belongs to good manners, which you clearly don't know anything about, to introduce yourself," Maccabee says. "Now, get out of my room. And the next time you come, you better knock the door first."
Caitlin rolls her eyes. "Ok, I'll go. But can you at least tell me, will you be my ally or not?"
"I'll think about it," Maccabee says. Caitlin leaves his room.
Maccabee doesn't want to be Caitlin's ally. He hates her already. Caitlin is too weak and annoying. He's planning to kill her immediately when the Hunger Games begin. But he has no intentions to tell that to Caitlin.
