The Painful Revelation

"We will always be together Naruto we'll face everything together…as a family…I'll protect you and Kaoru with all my life…I love you two to death…"

When Sasuke arrived home late that night he was surprise that Kaoru is still awake slumped on the carpet while hugging her knees close to her chest.

"Kaoru?" he called out to his daughter, but he got no response. Now, he sensed something is wrong. Normally once Kaoru heard his voice she'll definitely come running to him but now he didn't get any reaction from her at all. He sighed as he kneel down to his daughter's level.

"Kaoru…" he called her name once again, this time his daughter looks up to him with tears on her eyes.

"Dad…" Kaoru said hoarsely, there are dry tears on her cheeks.

"What's wrong honey, why are you still awake?" Sasuke asked his daughter as he gently rearranged the hair that's sticking on her daughter's pretty face at the back of her ear. "Where's your mommy?"

"Dad…will everything be okay? Kaoru sniffed.

"What do you mean Kaoru? Of course everything is going to be okay…" Sasuke smiled as he wiped his daughter's tears with his thumb.

"Daddy don't let mommy leave okay? Promise me." Sasuke's onyx eyes widen at his daughter's plea. Naruto is leaving? What the heck?!

After convincing Kaoru everything is going to be fine and put her to sleep Sasuke immediately entered the room he shared with Naruto only to see her slumped on the floor while packing her bag.

Sasuke carelessly dropped his bag and coat on the floor, "Naruto, what are you doing?" he asked, while grabbing his girlfriend's shoulder.

"I'm just doing the right thing Sasuke." She said emotionlessly as she continue to fold her clothes and putting it inside her luggage bag. "Wait Naruto please listen to me." He said pulling the blonde up with him.

"Sasuke…"

"Naruto…" Sasuke cupped both of his girlfriend's cheeks on his large hands, "There must be a way to fix this without us separating." He coaxed his girlfriend, "We can do this together Naruto…don't think about dad please…" he pleaded as he settled his forehead to hers.

"…"

"Naruto please…" Sasuke pleaded, "Please don't leave…let's talk about this properly tomorrow…"

Naruto shook her head, as her tears started cascading down her cheeks, "I can't Sasuke…I can't be selfish forever…I can't live like this anymore…" she sniffed, "I can't continue to live in fear…yeah I can live happily with you and Kaoru but what's the point of that happiness if the people close to us end up suffering because we chose to be together."

"Together we can make dad understand…" Sasuke shook her head in disagreement, Make Fugaku Uchiha understand their situation? Yeah! Like he would ever understand them.

Sasuke pulled away from Naruto to look directly on her face. "We can try! And if that doesn't work we'll think of other ways to make him understand that we are in love and we will never break up…we'll prove to him that we're right for each other. Okay?"

Naruto silently nodded.

The next day, after the service fetched Kaoru for school Naruto is left with washing the dishes while Sasuke prepare himself for work.

"Not going to college today?" Sasuke asked, while fixing his tie.

"No, not today." Naruto yelped as Sasuke embraced her from behind.

"This is how I want to spend my whole life with..." Sasuke whispered to Naruto's ear.

Naruto smiled in amusement as she pull away from him, "You can really say cheesy stuff right now Uchiha Sasuke." she teased, while pinching the raven's perfectly shaped nose playfully.

"Naruto."

"Hmm?"

"I'll come home early tonight..."

"Okay..."

"We'll talk then...so promise me you'll be here when I get back." Sasuke said his hand on her cheek.

Naruto slowly nodded her head.

"I want to hear you say it."

"I promise I'll be here..." Satisfied after hearing Naruto's promise Sasuke smiled as he place a kiss on her lips.

"I love you Naruto." He said hugging Naruto again close to his chest.

"I...love you too Sasuke."

"Oh...we don't have enough ingredients for tonight's dinner." Naruto frowned as she saw the lack of stock on their fridge. "I guess I have to go to market now." she sighed picking up her wallet and keys before deciding to leave the house. But as she opened the door a very familiar man wearing a sleek black suit is standing right in front of her.

"Uh, sir what are you doing in front of our house?"

"Naruto...it's me." Naruto's eyes widen, that voice! She remembers that voice.

"D-Dad?" Naruto said in surprise with a trembling voice.

"Yes its dad." No way! It's really her dad, even though twelve years has passed he's still the same. He got older that's given but his eyes, his hair and his face was just like how she pictured him when she was little. "Dad!" Naruto jumped on her dad's chest hugging him with her dear might she couldn't believe her eyes. Her dad is alive! But as much as she wanted to fully celebrate there are still things that's bothering her. So she pull away, "Dad what happened to you? Mom said you died..."

"I...I don't know how to explain things to you Naruto and I..."

"Dad..."

"I left because I have to..."

"What? What do you mean dad." Naruto asked, not understanding his reason why he left their family.

"Naruto..." But before he could speak a young man half of Naruto's age came out of the car waiting outside their home.

"Dad! Come on I want to go home soon." the young man with grey hair said in annoyance.

"D-Dad? W-Why did he call you dad..." Naruto asked not believing what she just heard.

"Naruto my dear listen to me."

Naruto moved away from her dad as she finally realized what's happening, "You left us because you have your family of your own?! You lied to us dad!" she accused angrily her tears leaking down her cheeks like a river.

"Dad what's going on?!"

"Naruto please let me explain!"

"No. Go away!" Naruto shouted at her dad angrily as she re-enter the house to escape from her lying father. Once inside she collapsed, crying her heart out.

"Mom where's daddy?" Six year old Naruto asked while tugging on her crying mother's sleeves.

"I'm sorry sweetie but daddy died and he will never come back to us..."

"Remember Naruto..."

"What is it dad?"

"When someone loves you they'll come back for you..."

...

"Love and promises...they're just words...in the end those people who said that loves you will only let you down and leave you in the end...loving someone and hoping for someone to come back is scary..."

That very moment Naruto came up with a decision that will change her family's life forever.

That night

"Hey dad tonight I'll be staying with Uncle Itachi and Auntie Yukie okay? Mommy said yes already." Kaoru said to Sasuke over the phone.

"Uh yeah sure if your mommy let you then I guess I can't say no to that..."

"Thank you dad! And yeah dad..."

"Hmm?"

"Make mommy happy okay?"

"Of course sweetie I will." Sasuke said as he hung up the phone he sighed before staring down the bouquet of flowers he bought for Naruto (hoping the flowers will make her happy),

"Naruto I'm home!" he announced but as he entered their house he was greeted by silence.

After checking every room in their house without any success of finding his girlfriend Sasuke's fears is slowly resurfacing.

"No way..." he said slamming his fist against the wall making a dent on it, ignoring the pain he hurriedly run outside their house with only one goal in mind.

Stop Naruto from leaving.

At the Bus station

Naruto wipes her tears away with her hand but it was useless because her tears just kept flowing down her eyes.

"BUS number 418 is ready for boarding ticket holders please fall in line now. Thank you"

Wiping her tears for the last time that night she stand up deciding to joined the other passengers boarding the bus.

"Good bye Sasuke...goodbye Kaoru…" she thought to herself before deciding to leave.

"Naruto!" Sasuke grabbed Naruto's arm back down.

"S-Sasuke?!"

"What are you doing? Why are you leaving so suddenly?" Sasuke said hoarsely, he couldn't believe it but he could feel tears gathering at the side of his eyes.

Naruto sniffed the tears she's been trying to suppressed burst out once again, "I-I'm sorry Sasuke but I have to do this...please let me do this." She said while profusely wiping her tears falling down her cheeks.

"Don't go please let's talk about this." Sasuke said his voice cracking.

"I can't take it anymore Sasuke everything here...are just so painful for me...your father...my dad..."

"Your dad?"

"He's alive Sasuke and he lied to me and my mom it really hurts I can't take it anymore..."

"Naruto..."

"So please Sasuke just let me do this..." Naruto turned away but Sasuke embraced her back tightly against him.

"Please don't go...I love you...I'll fight for you..." Sasuke begged Naruto in desperation. Please don't leave!

"I'm sorry..." Naruto freed herself from Sasuke's desperate but warm embrace.

"Goodbye Sasuke."

"Naruto!" Sasuke grabbed her arm (once again) kissing her full on her lips. Desperately trying to remind Naruto of their love. But the kiss is full of painful and bittersweet reminder that their love wasn't meant to be right now. Both of them pull away from the kiss, Sasuke lean his forehead to hers and shook his head.

"Please don't go..." Sasuke begged his tears flowing down his cheek. "I'll fight for you...please stay...don't leave me..." He said hugging Naruto like she's his lifeline.

Naruto sobbed but her resolved is already firm. She have to leave. She tried to release herself from Sasuke's tight embrace but to no avail.

"Please…let me do this…I have to do this…"

"I can't…I love you…don't do this…don't leave me…" he begged desperately. He couldn't care less what other people might think of him now he can't lose Naruto He can't let her go.

Naruto shook her head, "I'm sorry..." with one final sorry she push Sasuke away from her.

"Good bye Sasuke."

Please don't hate! But they have to separate for the sake of the plot! Lol
