Kakashi glanced at the clock hanging on the wall behind him. It was already three p.m. He was sitting behind his desk again, leaning casually with his feet on the desk. Team RWBY always showed up just a little after three. Except yesterday, they didn't visit. He smiled blissfully at that memory, but he also suspected they had gotten involved with the explosions that had happened at the harbor. Several ships had been destroyed.

The girls seemed to cause destruction wherever they went. He was just lucky the bookshop hadn't exploded yet. They were entertaining, but that wasn't good enough reason to be their teacher. He barely survived being Team Seven's teacher, and team RWBY looked to be just as crazy as his old students. They seemed to get along a lot better than Team Seven, but they also lacked something important. They didn't have their instinct yet, the instinct of real battle.

Team RWBY had potential, but they didn't fight with intent to kill. They were still just kids. They might be old by ninja standards, but mentally they didn't have what would make them the monsters in battle that they could be.

The library door opened, and the girls shuffled in. It was a strange sight for him to see considering their normally boisterous attitude.

"You girls again," drawled out Kakashi without looking away from his book.

"Did you miss us?" asked Ruby with an infectious on her face. Her team forgoing their exhaustion in favor of exasperation at her attitude.

Kakashi silently gave whoever had elected her as team leader a mental nod. He would have done the same thing. She had the charisma that a team leader needed, and with how positive she was, her team would, in turn, be affected. Although she was slightly over the top happy, but not too annoying. She wasn't Naruto annoying, anyway.

"No," Kakashi droned. His eyes looked up to examine team RWBY again. They had a new friend with them. "Were there always five of you?"

Team RWBY turned to look at the new member. The girl was wearing a strange, old fashioned, dress with a neon-green and black collar. She had hair color a mix of brown and red, was pale with freckles and had bright green eyes.

"This is Penny," said Ruby speaking up. "We met her yesterday and we just ran into her on our way here. I thought she'd hang out with us for a bit before we have to split again."

"Nice to meet you," Penny stepped forward, offering her hand for a shake.

Kakashi took it. His eyes widened when he took her hand. It felt very cold, and solid.

"We're actually trying to find information about the White Fang. Blake can't sleep if she doesn't do something to stop them," said Weiss informing Kakashi of their self imposed mission. "I also want to stop them so they don't threaten my family anymore."

"We thought we could ask you if you might know anything that can give us a lead before we try looking around ourselves," explained Blake. She looked even more worn out than the rest of her team. She must have been obsessing over the White Fang.

Kakashi shook his head. His boss Tukson had a connection with the White Fang, but it seems like Tukson had a change of heart before they had met and was trying to leave the Faunus group. He also couldn't say Tukson knew something. It would lead to him being fired. He, of course, kept tabs on the White Fang in case they ever did decide to bring him trouble. He finished thinking it over and looked back at the girls.

"What makes you girls think I would know anything about them?" he asked curiously. He suspected that they might have a few reasons, but he was curious as to what could be their main reason for assuming he kept tabs on the White Fang.

"Because," said Yang stepping up. "They want your head after you saved Weiss and Blake."

"Which, by the way, we still very much appreciate," said Blake with a gracious nod. Weiss was behind her nodding.

"Your point?" he questioned. He returned to reading again, perhaps he overestimated their deduction skills. How disappointing they weren't giving him the answer that he wanted.

"But you still kept an eye on them right? I mean they can become a threat to you if you let your guard down?" said Ruby, but she didn't look very sure.

"Very astute," said Kakashi before closing his book and giving Team RWBY and Penny his full attention. Throwing them a little bit of information wouldn't hurt. "If I were to tell you what I do know, how do you plan on using this information."

"We will investigate, and if this turns out to be big, we will get the authorities involved and have these criminals arrested," said Weiss with conviction. She looked like nothing would stop her.

"I wouldn't say criminals, but I'm with Weiss," said Blake. Her eyes were narrowed in determination, and hands clenched into fists.

"I'd go and beat the snot out of them," said Yang with a big grin. She emphasized this by punching her fist together.

"Same," said Ruby with an innocent smile.

"I'm just friends with Ruby," said Penny unsure if she needed to give an answer.

"Penny is just tagging along to see what a usual day is for us," said Ruby putting an arm around Penny.

Penny nodded slowly. She then offered a smile thinking that would fix the awkwardness to pass herself off as normal.

Kakashi rubbed his forehead deciding to give them the information, if only to see if they really had what it takes to fight a criminal organization. He was curious to see if they'd actually accomplish anything, if they could get the killer instinct that was required to become real fighters. If they failed, then they shouldn't be biting off more than they could chew.

"There will be a gathering for White Fang recruits tonight. North of here in an old warehouse," he said. He added as an afterthought, "They were moving something big last night, but after seeing what they had I let any worries I might have had go and didn't bother investigating further."

"Aha!" said Ruby with a triumphant fist pump. "You did investigate."

"It was a waste of time, but if you kids feel strongly about the crimes that group is committing then go ahead and investigate," said Kakashi with a shrug. He personally didn't care about them at all. He was enjoying his new life.

"Thank you Kakashi," Said Weiss gratefully. "If you need anything, let us know."

"We appreciate this a lot. I appreciate this. We can stop them from harming a lot of people if this leads to their arrest," said Blake. She had that look of determination.

"Let's go investigate team!" shouted Ruby and rushed out with Blake and Weiss. They were excited.

"See ya dude!" shouted Yang and ran off with her team. She had hung back looking prideful for some reason.

Penny stood alone before Kakashi. They must have forgotten about her. She did say she was simply there as a friend.

"Goodbye, Kakashi sir." Said Penny before leaving. She made loud thuds with each step as she left.

Kakashi curiously wondered what that was. Did she have metallic limbs? Did she somehow lose some of her body parts, and replace them with prosthetics? She was most certainly a strange one.

Kakashi's day ended normally. He got off work at the same time as he normally did and went home. But as he went to sleep, he couldn't help wondering if the girls would cause some kind of trouble.

Kakashi awoke in the middle of the night with fire trucks ringing outside and police sirens were everywhere. He checked his window and could see flashing lights all across the city in the distance. He simply stared out in shock before coming back to his senses. "Heh," he chuckled, "What crazy kids." He slowly went back to bed, and forced himself to sleep. He would need the energy tomorrow.

Ozpin sat behind his desk. The clock gears above his head clicking softly. Each click sounding louder, and louder. He was very used to it, so much that he didn't hear it anymore. In his hand was a cup of hot coffee. Normally he drank tea, but tonight he needed the energy. He had just closed his eyes to sleep at eleven p.m after reading the teachers' bi-weekly reports on the progress of the first years. The students were progressing well, some needed extra support but overall the students of Beacon were doing well. He had gone to sleep confident and contented with the reports.

Only to then be forced up an hour later after receiving a call from Glynda that Team RWBY had once again gotten into trouble. The first thing he thought to ask himself was what could they have possibly been doing at night? The second question was why couldn't Glynda discreetly handle the problem herself.

Ozpin studied the guilt ridden faces lined up in front of him. Glynda stood beside him arms crossed under her chest. She also looked just as tired as he was feeling himself.

He took a sip and thought everything through again. As it turns out, Team RWBY had been out in the middle of the night fighting crime. They destroyed several roads, many cars, and a support pillar while fighting a stolen Atlas military weapon. They claimed to have overheard information about the White Fang having a secret meeting and had investigated quietly or at least tried to. They were discovered and thus chaos ensued.

"Southeast?" asked Ozpin once he heard their side of the story.

"Yes," replied Ruby with a solemn look. Like a child offering their favorite toy as an apology. In this case what little information they managed to get from the White Fang before their cover was blown.

"Roman Torchwick said in his speech that the most dedicated fighters would fight out in the southeast," said Weiss with an upset look. She didn't like the idea of Torchwick having that many supporters.

"He was also saying he had more of those stolen battle armors," added in Yang with a shake of her head. She punched her fist together. "Those things hit hard. Punched me right through a pillar."

"They are the Military's state of the art weapon," said Blake making sure Ozpin understood how bad that was. The White Fang was now armed with military grade weapons.

"They are also a Schnee weapon," added in Weiss very upset. The weapon her family helped develop to protect the people was now going to be used to hurt innocent civilians.

Ozpin sighed to himself. Torchwick had escaped, but they at least have something important. The White Fang was doing something big in the southeast. Whatever it was, it wasn't going to be good for Vale.

"Girls, go to sleep." He said giving them a soft nod. They did good despite the chaos they caused. He needed to have a talk with Ironwood.

The girls were too tired to celebrate not getting punished for the massive property damage. They slowly marched out to get a well deserved rest.

Ozpin heard a soft tsk from Glynda.

"Where do you think they overheard about the White Fang having a meeting?" he asked curiously. He did, of course, notice how Team RWBY awkwardly couldn't remember where and when they had heard the information about the White Fang. They had answered vaguely, claiming they overheard it at lunch or at a bar.

Glynda adjusted her glasses. Her eyes full of suspicion. "They have been visiting that book shop too many times. Our school has almost every book a student could want, yet they keep going back to that bookshop."

Ozpin nodded. "I believe we know who their source is."

"I've seen him once," answered Glynda, remembering when the girls had skipped class. The lazy looking man behind the desk.

"Describe him to me," requested Ozpin. What was this new person playing at? He couldn't have an unknown outsider manipulating his students.

"Lazy, perverted, and quiet," listed Glynda remembering the book he had sold the girls. "Distant, and very dangerous."

Ozpin's expression grew curious. Glynda rarely saw someone as very dangerous, considering she was one of the best Huntresses in the world.

"Let's look into this more at another time," he said getting up. He needed to still get some sleep. "I trust you'll fix the damage they caused?"

Glynda nodded and marched out behind him. She had a permanent frown on her face "I won't be getting any sleep tonight."

"The woes of being such great teachers," said Ozpin before they headed their separate ways.

Kakashi's day started out pleasantly. He had a good night's rest and a healthy breakfast. He passed the dust shop on his way to work and bought some interesting dust. He didn't use the substance often, but they made a great replacement for explosive tags. He was stocking up for a rainy day.

The chaos from the night before looked to have been cleaned up pretty well. There were still some flipped over cars lying around in certain blocks, but overall the city had done an amazing job on damage control.

He reached the shop as usual, greeted Tukson who said he was going out of town for the day and started his morning routine as he normally did. He reread Ninja of Love to make sure he wasn't missing anything before finally deciding to go to volume three.

The hours passed, and Kakashi relaxed. He had thought the chaos from last night would come back to bite him in the end, but it hadn't yet. Team RWBY must have kept quiet about him. At least they weren't traitorous.

Kakashi looked back at the clock. He put his musings on hold when two kids walked in. They looked to be seventeen or eighteen one girl, and one boy.

The girl had mint green hair and a dark complexion. She was wearing unassuming grey clothes. Her friend had dark gray hair, almost silver. He had a pale complexion and was wearing the grey with black. They walked around, browsing the shelves of books.

Kakashi lazily read his book, not bothering to acknowledge the visitors. He flipped a page. He could feel their intent, and it was enough to make him chuckle to himself. These kids actually thought they were being subtle.

"Hey," called out the boy from behind one of the bookshelves. "Got any comics?"

"Up in front. By the window, the shelf on the left of the light switch," replied Kakashi still reading his book. Kakashi sized them up. The kid looked to be the more active of the two, maybe he would strike first.

"This is Tukson's Book Shop," said the girl. "Are you Tukson?"

Kakashi wasn't a Faunus, but they were making this too easy. Tukson was going to seriously owe him after this. These kids had come to assassinate Tukson, and not him. The girl looked to be the more aggressive one of the two. He was going to have fun with this.

"He's at the back. Knocked out from drinking. Looked like he was having a midlife crises," answered Kakashi with a shrug.

The girl closed one window, while the boy closed the other. The light dimmed leaving the bookshop dark. Kakashi slowly stood up crossing his arms in a relaxed stance. He waited for them to attack.

The silver haired teen calmly approached him alone. Once he stood within grabbing distance he attacked with a high kick aimed for his head. Kakashi ducked and grabbed the foot. They should have attacked him together. The kid tried to attack him with the other foot to free himself, but Kakashi twisted the foot much like one would a doorknob and ruined the kid's second kick. His upper body fell uselessly to the floor.

The girl attacked with two small scythes in hand. Kakashi took a step back and used the kid as a bat. They went down together. Kakashi made sure to avoid knocking over any bookshelves. His eyes activated. Their aura had dropped, but they had plenty more before they could be hurt.

Kakashi walked towards them as they picked themselves up. They no longer looked so cocky. Their eyes were no longer looking at him like he was prey but instead as a predator. He loved it when greenhorns realized they were way over their heads. There was something about it that just made him want to smile. They scrambled back together, and this time attacked him together. One on his left and another on his right.

The boy was on the right and attacked with a flurry of rapid kicks. Kakashi kept a close watch on the kid's shoes to make sure a lucky bullet didn't get him. Everything was somehow a gun; it really surprised him what they could turn into a gun.

The girl joined the fight with her scythes. She was quick to go for his vitals. Kakashi danced around her attempt to cut his throat open, or cut a leg tendon. She kept trying to trick his eyes by making her scythe short than they were, but unfortunately for her he was immune to illusions.

Kakashi blocked the boy's kick and avoided the girl's scythes. They weren't that fast, and they weren't very skilled. Talent they had in spades, but not enough experience to fight a veteran like himself. He could see numerous openings in their every attack, and while they tried to cover each other's openings, against him that was useless.

The girl, growing frustrated with their lackluster performance, growled, "You're going to die slowly!"

Kakashi gave her a bland look. "Did you say something?"

She jumped into the air towards the ceiling. The floor beneath her feet cracked, and she touched down on the ceiling feet first, letting her momentum act against gravity. She looked down at Kakashi with a predatory gleam in her eyes. Kakashi saw the attack coming and quickly tried to stop her. He had no weapon on his person, but he had plenty of books lying around. He threw a book right into her forehead hoping it would stop her. She glowed blue, powering through. She smashed him into the library floor with a bang. The entire floor caved, sheared apart by the stress; the bookshelves toppled like dominos in their new, precarious terrain, and in the center of this crater she had her scythes stabbed through his left and right shoulders, pinning him to the floor. She smirked at his dying body and slowly stood back up. She patted her clothing, dusting off whatever dust she had picked up. She motioned for the boy to go out back and quickly finish Tukson off.

"I thought he'd be tougher," commented the kid before heading for the storage room to get the traitorous Faunus.

He ran in ready to take care of the rogue Faunus but found it empty. It didn't have any doors for the Faunus to escape. There was only a desk and piles of books laying around in boxes.

"He's not here, that guy lied," growled out the boy and stepped out of the storage room. He prepared to tell his friend to leave for now. He stopped when he saw her lying unconscious onto the floor.

Kakashi stood casually beside the unconscious girl. The kid was frozen in either shock or surprise. He decided to help break him out of it and kicked the girl hard, sending her unconscious body flying towards him. They both hit the wall of the library before falling together. Kakashi walked an easy going pace towards the duo. His eyes glowed red as he neared them.

The door to the library opened. Kakashi turned to see who it was. The kid grabbed the girl and jumped out of the window, desperate to escape. Kakashi chose not to go after them and instead decided to greet his new guest. He could always chase them down later.

"Hello there," greeted Kakashi with an easy going tone. He even smiled his usual one eye smile, but since he had both eyes and no mask, it probably gave off a different vibe.

His new visitor was a teacher, the one known as Glynda. His eyes took in her tired appearance. Her eyes were puffy and red from either a lack of sleep or crying. He was willing to bet it was from lack of sleep. He had his fair share of allnighters and could tell when another poor soul didn't sleep. She didn't look happy, but upon seeing the state of ruin his library was in her expression changed to one of concern and suspicion. Her eyes examined the window that had exploded upon her entrance.

"What happened here?" she asked while looking around. Her gaze stopped to examine the broken floor; it looked like a small canon had attacked it with extreme prejudice.

Kakashi glanced around. He really didn't have any explanation for this but decided to tell her to closest thing to the truth he could. "A robbery."

"A robbery?" she questioned skeptically. Her gaze wandering around to double check everything. "Someone wanted to rob a bookstore?"

"Yes, kids these days," replied Kakashi casually and placed his hands in his pockets. He added an amused afterthought, "Not to worry, they didn't get what they wanted. They heard rumors of this shop having the first signed Platinum Edition of the Icha Icha Make Out series."

Glynda's eyes smoldered with contempt. Her already red eyes looking very frightening with such hate behind them. She cleared her throat before speaking. "As a teacher and a Huntress, I am obligated to ask you who did this."

Kakashi shrugged casually, almost unconcerned, "I don't know." He really didn't. He could take a guess and say they were from Beacon, but then again they could be students from other schools, or they weren't students at all. He was well and truly in the dark.

She gave him a glare for his vague answer and continued. "Are you hurt? Do you want to call the authorities?"

"No, and no." Replied Kakashi after making a show of checking himself for any injuries and giving her an innocent smile. She clearly wasn't buying any of his acting.

"Good, now I can talk to you about why I'm here in the first place," she said; her eyes once again burning with contempt for him. What a scary look.

"Oh goody," muttered Kakashi under his breath. He could already predict what she was going to talk about next. She's going to accuse him of sending Team RWBY into a death trap. They must have caused quite a lot of problems if she had decided to track him down for it. Team RWBY had been visiting him too many times and must have brought him onto Beacon Academy's radar. Not that surprising, but what was surprising was how much contempt this particular teacher was showing for him.

"Last night, a group of students from Beacon infiltrated a terrorist group," started Glynda. Her crop spun around in her hand as if she wanted to hit him with it. "They were then discovered, and a fight ensued. A highway was destroyed. An altesian battle suit was seen fighting against them all over town, and several warehouses were destroyed. I have reasons to believe you were the one to take advantage of these students, using their chivalry and good morals to manipulate them into doing your dirty work for you."

Kakashi put on his best confused expression. Now he could understand why she looked like she wanted to kill him. "I'm just a bookshop keeper, lady." He kept his confused expression on. He really hoped those kids hadn't given him away.

Her face filled with rage, he almost expected her to slap him. She instead took a deep breath and held her crop even tighter. She must've been imagining killing him because her rage filled eyes were dancing with thoughts of pain and self satisfaction. Kakashi saw her micro expression turn into a vicious grin before quickly disappearing. He was right, she had just imagined killing him.

"I don't have any evidence to prove this, but know this, I'm watching you!" she growled out. She stomped to the door and stopped to give him one final warning. "The next time this happens, evidence or not I will bury you myself."

She left slamming the door behind her. It was such a shame, they could have been really good friends, but now she wanted to kill him. Those kids had also gotten him unwanted attention, and this was the reason why he hadn't wanted to get involved in the first place. They at least hadn't exposed him. The teacher must have been watching her students in the past week and eavesdropping possibly. Now he was in the center of a cluster fuck.

Kakashi stood alone in the center of the trashed library. His day had started out really well too. He started picking up the fallen book shelves. The girl had created a huge mess when she had smashed into the floor. Now books were lying all over the place. He sighed and gave up trying to fix it. He wrote a note explaining what happened and left it for Tukson to find. He'd skip work for a day or two and come back once everything was back to normal. Tukson owed him that much at least.

Glynda was pissed. Students who were in her way moved either willingly or unwillingly as she made her way to Professor Ozpin's office. Each step was audible as she marched toward the office, anyone who had an appointment with Ozpin wisely rescheduled. She didn't open the door to the office once reaching it. Her semblance opened it with a loud audible slap. The office door burst open to reveal Ozpin sitting inside his clock themed office.

Ozpin was drinking tea from the mug that he so much loved. He had grey hair and wore small round glasses. He didn't look surprised to see her in her current state. He looked like he'd already predicted her furious return.

"That man is a criminal!" she slammed her hands and crop onto his desk. She met Ozpin eye to eye. "A disgusting, perverted, manipulative criminal!"

Ozpin put down his favorite mug slowly, but softly held onto it protectively. Glynda's telekinesis could quite easily shatter his mug. She could always put it back together, but that was beside the point.

"Do you mean Hatake Kakashi?" asked Ozpin knowing fully well she was talking about the mysterious man.

"Yes," growled Glynda. She huffed and crossed her arms, her temper slowly cooking down. "It was definitely him who instigated everything from last night."

Ozpin brought up the man's file on his scroll. It showed Kakashi's fully grown face and several younger versions. He had gotten the file after Glynda had marched off to confront the man. "It says here he was born in mountain Glen."

"He's one of the survivors of that time," said Glynda surprised. She, of course, didn't know that all of this was false information Kakashi created to give himself an identity in this new world.

"Looks like it," replied Ozpin and scrolled down further, checking for any other curious lie. "And no formal training."

Glynda snatched the scroll from Ozpin, now curious. "He has training."

Ozpin drank from his mug. "Interesting." He said beckoning for her to explain.

Glynda handed the scroll back. "When I got there someone had tried to rob the book shop, or so he claims, but the crater in the center of the shop was the work of a strong huntress or hunter. He didn't have a scratch on him, but the shop was a complete mess."

"Someone wanted him out of the picture?" questioned Ozpin, putting his hand on his chin in deep thought. "Right after team RWBY discovers a secret gathering of the White Fang. Did the White Fang try to assassinate him?"

"Don't forget he put our students in danger by giving them information!" said Glynda almost screaming. "Those kids want to do right, and if you tell them a group of bad people are gathering they will of course feel that they are duty bound to investigate. He put them in danger."

"It's as you said once before Glynda. They can't be kids forever. Things did workout for Team RWBY, and we've obtained valuable information on the whereabouts of the White Fang. If this Kakashi knows more, we shouldn't stop our students from meeting him," said Ozpin with a nod. They could use this and finally get a real lead on the White Fang.

"You're going to use our students as bait!" shouted Glynda disbelief. She couldn't believe what he was saying.

"No," answered Ozpin quickly. He understood these kids, and they would do something even if ordered not to. "I'm saying we try and control the situation. Team RWBY will do what they want even if we forbid them from doing so. I'm saying we make sure they don't bite off more than they can chew."

Glynda grunted in defiance and left the professor to his own device. She needed to start watching her out of control students before they start another war against the White Fang. If they did, she would be the one suffering for it by pulling all nighters to fix their mess, and that wasn't something that she wanted to become a daily occurrence.
