Doctor Two Brains 3-
Ah, now this was relaxing.
(Doctor) Steven Boxlietner leaned back against a tree, his legs resting comfortably on a checkered blanket. Picnics had to be one of his favorite things.
The overly tall and overly thin scientist didn't have a whole lot to do as of late, he had his usual experiments but even those were coming to a close. He had just started his career and already it seemed to be ending!
"Now I won't let this get me down," he said apparently to his sandwich as he was holding it in front of his face, the young scientist was about to stuff the food into his mouth when he saw something strange in the sky. He sat up, "What in the world?" he questioned setting the sandwich down on the blanket. There was a strange figure in the sky, was that…? No it couldn't be!
"Ah!"
It was! A young girl was flying through the sky when suddenly she veered off course and went flying straight towards a tree! Abandoning all confusion the Doc ran to go find her, what if she had hurt herself?
He made his way past the dense foliage getting his lab coat torn on a bush, he ignored it, he was too focused on his target.
The young girl was dressed in some sort of strange Uniform, and she appeared to be only about seven years old! She groaned, having smashed herself against a tree, "Are you alright?" the tall man bent down to her level, she looked up at him with watery brown eyes, "No," she said sniffling, "I can't fly!"
That seemed to be the least of her troubles but he didn't question her, instead her put a hand on her shoulder and pulled her away from the tree to check if she was injured.
A loud angry squeal type sound made him look around in surprise, finally the scientist's gaze landed on a high branch in the tree, some sort of oddly garbed monkey was hanging by the back of his shirt, it was looking livid and screeching at him.
"That's Captain Huggy Face!" The young girl said looking up and smiling. "Oh, well that's a fun name," Steven replied, "He's stuck you have to get him down!"
Steven looked down at the girl with disbelief, did she really just ask him to climb a tree and get her helmet wearing monkey named Captain Huggyface out of a tree? Yes, she did.
So he climbed.
The Doc had successfully retrieved the creature, all it really took was him unhooking it's clothing and the monkey got down the rest of the way by itself. The monkey once he was on the ground, seemed to fawn over the girl.
Steven landed with a thump in the grass after unsuccessfully trying to climb down, "Thank you for saving Huggy!" the small girl said she was standing up looking no worse for wares.
And it looked like she was going to leave, but Steven's interest was piqued, "Wait!" he said getting the small girl to turn around, she was rather adorable. With darker skin and very dark brown hair, she had a small nose and beautiful brown eyes. "I'm uh," he started, it seemed kind of wrong to ask a small child he just met to come join his picnic, but that was what he was going to do, "I'm having a little picnic over there, and I am let's face it a little curious about your power to fly!"
"I can't fly!" the girl objected suddenly.
Steven bit his bottom lip, "Right, um but I wouldn't mind your company anyhow," he said sweetly. The monkey clearly objected, but the small girl's face lit up, "Oh thank you! I missed breakfast on a count of my training," she said in a surprisingly clear way, each word she said was perfectly spoken.
Steven shot a few warm smiles back at her as they made their way to his picnic site, the warm sun beamed down just enough to provide warmth but no glare. The shade of the tree taking up some of the space if he decided to rest there.
The young girl marveled at it, "Wow! It's a feast!" she said staring at the rather large array of picnic foods, "Come prepared that's what I always say," Steven said sitting down, Captain Huggy Face seemed to have dropped all bad feelings towards the scientist as he dove at the food.
The scientist found himself sitting next to the little girl, "My name is Doctor Steven Boxlietner," he said to her, realizing that she was staring. "I'm," the young girl looked at Huggy and sighed, "I'm nobody," she said.
The Doc sat up a little straighter, "You don't look very happy, is it because you were having trouble flying?" he asked warmly, a strange liking for the girl rising inside of him. The young girl looked sorrowfully at her hands, "Yeah," she said, "Huggy says I'm from Lexi- Lexicon," she said taking the word slowly, amazing how she could say bigger words then that but Lexicon was difficult. Come to think of it, where was Lexicon exactly?
As if she could read his thoughts the young girl explained, "It's another planet far away," she said, "There my family has super strength and we can fly and we love vocabulary!" she said almost proudly with a hint of longing. "I'm sorry," Steven said truthfully. The way she looked at the sky he could tell that she was telling the truth, she truly wanted to go back there.
"I have a home here though!" she said suddenly grabbing her knees, Steven felt glad of that. She seemed happy to say so, which set him at ease. "Listen, maybe I can help you with your flying," he said wanting to help her with anything, "I'm a scientist, I can figure out how it works," he said. The small girl looked back at him with her doe eyes, and small sweet smile, "Really?" she asked.
"Really."
The Monkey looked at him warily once again, his chewing becoming slowed as he stared at the scientist. Steven knew if he stepped out of the line in any way Captain Huggy Face wouldn't take it lightly, which made him slightly nervous to help all of a sudden.
Steven stood up, "To the science lab!" he shouted, which always got his confidence back. The science lab was the best place in the world! He remembered feeling like someone who had just won a new car. All of the science equipment had him dashing about the small room looking at everything, almost like a small child at Christmas.
The young girl clapped her hands excitedly, "Let's go, come on Huggy!" she grabbed the Monkey's wrist and pulled him away from the picnic blanket. Steven grabbed the edges of said blanket tied them together for easy transportation, he marveled at the girl. Her strength was frankly amazing, she lifted the monkey with no problem whatsoever, and sometimes when she skipped she stayed in the air a few seconds more then she normally would have if she was human.
"Come on Doctor Boxlietner!" she said turning around and walking backwards, Steven had found himself lagging behind.
"I'm coming!" he said with a breathy chuckle, surprised that he had any breath actually. Physical activities hadn't been his strong suit and this was a long walk!
Doctor Boxlietner, he thought to himself suddenly interested in the name she had given, it sounded so right!
Doctor Steven Boxlietner-Doctor Two Brains.
When he said "To the science lab!" I thought of Doctor Two Brains in the episode where he teams up with Tobey and he goes "To the cheese vault!"
I know what you're thinking… That's three Doctor Two Brains fanfictions now!
Yes it is.
But after my last story I got the idea for this, do not worry I have not forgotten the other villains. 8)
