Moon Stalkers: Moving

Chapter 9

Authors Note: Okay, so I am going to try and reply to reviews on here… try being my key word. X3 Here's my first attempt!

CartoonCouples101: To be honest, I nearly had a heart attack when I saw your review! I was just so freaking happy! Anyways... Thanks for the suggestion. I am totally taking that to heart and stuff cause I actually liked that chapter compared to my others. And... erm.. yeah. I suck and went eight chapters without describing that! Gah… I am fixing that in this chapter…. Thanks for the review and hope this one is just as good!

Hetalia-Panda-123: Wow. Thanks a lot. I will try to start updating quicker but I never know. My mom keeps pawning my laptop and hers so I will have half on hers and half on mine and one is always at the shop so it's a pain. Thanks for the review!

dragonofthewest: Thanks, I'm really glad you actually read the crap I wrote. I am not a fan of Ameripan either, but I managed it into this story cause it fit. And same here about the vampire, I mean I know Vampire Arthur is sexy, but Vampire Alfred blows Arthur out the park in my opinion. And I felt bad writing it but it just flowed onto the screen. Alfred's life… I made it so sad! Well I intend to stop making him have a sucky life.

On another note, do you have an account because well.. You were my 100th reviewer and for such a feat I'll write any Hetalia pairing one-shot of your choice. :3

BaraKiryuHuntress: Thanks! I'm glad you loved it!

Eric-I-Love-USUK-Johnson: Woah, thanks for the review dude! And Arthur… you shall be bitten more *evil laugh* But they won't be nasty vampires… yet. *laughs more*

SalinaSwathe: Thanks for reviewing and I'm glad you loved it!

I.F.T.S: Thanks. I did take my sweet time, unwillingly, but I did. Thanks for not wanting to rush me! :3 Well here's the chapter after a month or so.

Shizuka Kuruizaki: Your reviews never cease to make me laugh and race for my keyboard. xD Yes, crying in class is a problem… sadly I can't help myself sometimes and I start bawling in class. I realized that to have Arthur forgive somebody so easily…. Not going to happen. Plus Alfred has scared and hurt him so Arthur is a bit fragile here. Alfred is going to try an fix it, but there is only so much I can do to help cause I do have to keep them in character, which I hope I am. And I hella ranted here… Thanks for the review and please… don't destroy me….

This was also Beta-ed by my awesome friend, Hero-and-Teacup! Without any further ado, here is the next chapter, hope you all enjoy this!

Alfred was up to something but I didn't know what. He was friendly enough and still called me Sunshine… but something was off. I tried shaking it, but he seemed to be constantly probing for answers to trivial questions like my favorite color and other weird things.

From these questions he had learned more about my life before coming here and about things I liked. It was so weird he was being so interested after it seemed I broke his heart… I figured he wouldn't talk to me yet he had done the opposite.

I sighed to myself and lied on the steel frame bed, newly replaced since the wood one had cut me before. I looked around my room for something to do. As much as the questions annoyed me, they were the only thing I did that didn't involve me sleeping or watching the TV.

I jumped as the door to my right slammed open and the blonde vampire who had attacked me before appeared. His eyes were wide and scanned the room, gliding over the mahogany desk under the bullet proof window and the matching dresser next to it. He looked to his right, seeing if I was in the adjoining restroom but then looked left to where the bed and the TV was.

I blinked in surprise and opened my mouth to shout for Alfred when he firmly gripped my wrist. I then proceeded to struggle and shout. "Let me go! Alfred, where are you!" I cried out before the other covered my mouth.

"Arthur, stop. Alfred requested I come and get you." He said, his French accent showing through but not intimidating. He was serious and that meant Alfred needed me. Otherwise he would have gotten me himself.

I stopped my struggling and stood up, walking off the bed. "Alright… release my wrist then. I'll follow your lead." I replied. The other smirked at my choice of words and chuckled.

"You will follow my lead one day, mon ami." He said before letting go and leaving the room. I followed after him quickly. The castle was huge and had many twisting halls and passages.

I stopped dead when the blonde, who I had discovered was Francis, stopped in front of a painting. My eyebrows furrowed in frustration and I pushed him softly. "Oi! Hurry, you said Alfred needed me!" I said angrily. He merely rolled his eyes and tapped the wall, opening a hole in the wall behind the painting. I stared at him in amusement and disbelief. "… A secret hallway… how typical…." I murmured scathingly and continued following the blonde down the new dark passage.

We finally arrived into a large stone room with four torches on the walls. I scanned the room hastily and didn't see Alfred. My skin tingled suspiciously and I moved away from the other. "… Where is Alfred?" I asked cautiously.

"Over here Sunshine." A familiar but flat voice said. I blinked and spun around, seeing a bummed looking American behind me. I went to speak about his appearance but he raised his hand. "I know but wait." He said and stared at Francis. "Thanks; now follow the rest of my orders." He said curtly. The other only huffed in what could only be indignity but left. I figured they would still be on shaky terms…

I then focused on Alfred who had sat in a large chair that was in the center of the room. There was another right next to it that was only slightly smaller. I followed the other slowly, a bit confused by his sudden change in attitude. Once I was in the chair I spoke. "Alfred… What is going on?" I asked.

The only response the other gave me was a loud groan and buried his face in his arms. My eye twitched angrily and I asked again. He then growled, sending chills through me. "Damn Arthur, can't you wait a minute?" He asked, obviously annoyed. I held my ground and stared at his hunched over figure.

"I can, but you weren't speaking and your behavior is scaring me. What is wrong?" I replied hotly, growing frustrated. His own anger dimmed enough for him to look at me.

"Fuck… Where do I start…" he muttered aloud. I blinked and realized this wasn't an Alfred whim but it was actually important. He seemed to figure out where to start and turned to look at me. "Okay. Ivan is moving his deadline up. I have 2 weeks to turn you or he invades." My breath hitched… Did he bring me here to turn me? My skin prickled as my heart raced.

"We already decided I was going to let you choose and that you would have as long as you needed to choose what you want. That hasn't changed Arthur. However, some things will." I relaxed a bit; glad to hear that he was… still respecting my wishes.

I then raised an eyebrow at the changes. "… Change how?" I asked quietly. He smiled just slightly as he heard my question.

"Well first you are going to have to learn to defend yourself. I don't intend for you to ever have to use these skills… But one can never be certain about anything." Alfred stated. I nodded, figuring it was a fair thing. At my quick agreement he skipped to the next thing. "Second, we are moving location. Me, you, and my inner group are moving out tonight. We will be going to Aquila, the former United States." I jumped up to protest.

"I don't want to leave here! Alfred!" I cried out. This country was my home and I didn't want to leave at all. He merely sighed as if he expected.

"Arthur, we have to. Where we are going is where I have most of my 'fire power'. I can defend you there and we would be safe okay?" He explained. I crossed my arms and frowned. His word was law anyway, what more could I do?

"We will be leaving in an hour." He told me. I muttered an angry okay and he gently grabbed my elbow. I faced him and blushed as he was much closer than before. "I'm sorry we have to move but I need to keep you safe. I promise to make it up to you when we get there." He murmured. My cheeks went a brighter pink and I nodded.

"Alright. Well lets go get packed and I'll pick you up in a few minutes okay?" He chirped. Still not having found my voice, I nodded once more. He chuckled and pecked my cheek. "You are too cute Sunshine."

I shivered and tucked the jacket to me. "Fuck! Does this place have to be so cold?" I asked, my nose turning pink from the cold snow swirling around us. Of all the fucking places to bring me, the former state of Ohio was his choice…

"Stop complaining and carry some bags in eyebrow bastard." Lovino growled as he sat by and ate a tomato. I stared incredulously at him and shook my head.

"Fine…" I replied before standing up and grabbing a few boxes. The sooner we grabbed our items the sooner we could go into the heated house. I made about two trips before everything was brought in. With a large happy sigh I flopped onto the couch there. It would appear that Alfred had this place modernized and cleaned before we arrived. I smiled and realized there was an electric fireplace.

See, I was pretty slim for my age and height, leaving little body fat to keep me warm. Thus, I was freezing. Naturally, I ran to the brick fireplace with a glass window and turned it on along with the TV mounted above it. I sat in the closest couch to it, since there were three in the room that created square area without a wall. An antique table was in the center of the couches and fit the whole room nicely. The room was rather cozy and more inviting than Alfred's Castle.

I sighed contently and, my pride be damned, threw the blanket over me before scrunching it up near my face and holding it to me. I then let out a soft hum and closed my eyes as my body slowly warmed up. I heard shuffling all around and figured that everybody was unloading the crap and stuff. I almost fell asleep, oh so warm and comfy I may add, when I was jolted awake at a high whistling noise.

My green eyes snapped open to see a teapot in the kitchen going off, the steam blowing through the small hole. I blinked in surprise and sighed, disappointed that I was awoken by that. Since nobody was around at this moment I stood up to go take it off.

I shivered and groaned, not liking the sudden change in temperature. I walked over and turned the stove top off and moved the pot to a cold burner. I then stepped back and admired the kitchen. It was simple and spacious while having familiar objects. The counter was made of black granite. The tile on the floor was nice and the walls were a light beige. The fridge was black like most the appliances and was set in the corner of the kitchen while the microwave was built into the cabinets which were a deep brown. The toaster was set in the corner of one of the three counters and near the oven.

I was so busy admiring the room I didn't notice a blonde vampire approaching me from behind. I jumped as two arms gently wrapped around me and a head rested on my shoulder from behind. "Hey, Sunshine. Like the kitchen?" Alfred asked. I blushed and smiled lightly. I still liked him so I wouldn't push him away. I wasn't sure how it was possible to love somebody I feared, but I did it.

"I love it actually. The colors are amazing, and the idea of beige with black was wonderful." I replied. I leaned into his embrace and was startled as he spun me around and gently to the counter.

"Wonderful. I thought you would like it a lot." He said with a bright smile. I blinked and tilted my head. It hit me, the reason I liked the kitchen so much was because it was my dream kitchen, my dream... house… My mouth dropped and I gently closed it as he smiled. "After all, I want to make sure you are comfortable." He said before turning around, grabbing the boiling pot, two mugs, and two packets of something.

It took me a minute to recover. "Is that what all those questions were for?" I asked softly, he nudged a mug into my hands. He smiled and nodded.

"Duh." He replied verbally and sipped his drink. I looked into the mug in my hands and my eyes popped out.

"You… made me tea…." I said in disbelief. He nodded.

"You said you liked tea so I made some for you. I also noticed you were cold and I am too." That was it. I gently placed the cup down and kissed him quickly. He was taken back but quickly returned it, his hands threading into my hair to angle my head so he could attempt to push past my lips. I chuckled and pulled back.

"Thank you Alfred." I murmured and picked up my tea, returning to the living room, a simple mix of creams and whites, and turned on the TV while sitting by the fireplace. I was warming up again, thank goodness. A warm body slid next to me and strong arms went around my body. I knew it was Alfred. I turned around to look at him, letting the blanket drop from my face to stare. "You said you were cold earlier?" I asked, wondering how that was possible when he was, well, a vampire.

His lips quirked up at my curiosity. "Yeah. I can feel it more acutely because I'm more human I guess. I hate the cold but it's a good advantage. It would be hard to reach here on foot since we can't feel the cold that well our blood can freeze as well as rest of us. We won't really die of course, but if they can't move they can't get blood. And without feeding, they will." He said. I blinked at the information. That was rather cool actually.

"Huh, really? That's pretty cool honestly." I replied. He chuckled and nodded.

"Sorry about the cold, I know you don't like it but hey, I made sure there was a nice fireplace. The flames can even be different colors." He said. I raised an eyebrow.

"Really?"

"Really, dude. Look." He said and stood. I held back a whine, previously comfortable. He flipped a little switch near the electric starter and the flames turned green. I smiled at that and chuckled.

"Chemicals in there that make it change then?" I asked. He blinked and nodded.

"I almost forgot you are the first smart human I have met." He replied. "The others were not too bright… but I am pretty sure you know that." If he only knew the truth….

I smiled softly and stood up while stretching. "Well thanks for the compliment I think…" I said and looked at him with inquisitive eyes. "Can you show me my room?" I asked, a smile creeping to my face. If I was right, my room would look amazing.

He blinked and a smug look crept to his face, making me a bit nervous. "Of course, Sunshine." He said happily. My skin tingled and I decided to follow him as he took long strides around the corner. I turned the corner and saw a small hallway with stairs leading the way up. I quickly ran up the stairs and sighed, seeing him there. "So slow." He teased and grabbed my hand, taking me up the stairs and into a room dead center of the house. I realized it was probably where it would be the warmest and safest from any attacks. "Here we are." He said and opened the door.

My breath caught as I saw the room. The carpet was a lush and soft white with really light green walls, but not a lime green, a soft green. I stepped in the room and gasped. Dead center of the room, against a wall of course, was a large king sized bed with actual posts and a canopy. It was…. Amazing although, I was curious why it was so big…. I scanned the rest of the very large room and saw a very large and elegant desk next to the bed. It was acting as a side table, on it was an assortment of papers, pens, pencils and even a few quills for some reason. My heart melted a bit and my smile grew fonder.

I looked to my left and saw a wall with a rather large TV on it. It was huge and big enough to see from across the room. Then there was a large dresser that was long rather than tall with a large mirror on the top. I noticed there weren't any windows and shrugged, figuring that is was safety measures. I then walked to the left and saw a closet with a door to a bathroom next to it.

Curious I opened the door and I held my hands to my mouth. There was gorgeous white tile along with nice, soft yellow walls… the colors matched well. The countertop and sink were made of white marble. I then looked to my side and saw a hot tub, and God, it was beautiful. There was a … holy shit! "A waterfall…." I murmured, opening the sliding tinted doors to make sure I wasn't seeing things. There was a waterfall nozzle in the shower along with three other sprays. My eyes watered a bit and I stood there, admiring the whole room. It was… amazing.

"Like our room Sunshine?" Alfred asked. I jumped at the suddenness of his voice before turning around with an overjoyed smile.

"I love it!" I exclaimed. "The colors… the bed, the shower! Everything- wait." I paused. "Our room?" I asked.

He smiled sheepishly and rubbed his head. "Yeah… our room." He confirmed. My cheeks went red and I figured that's why everything here was huge… it was for two people. I sighed softly and looked at him. He seemed nervous for my reaction. It hit me. He was trying to make things up to me… and fix it….

My heart softened a bit. There was still more things he had to do… but this was a good start. I sighed and smiled at him. "Cool." I replied simply and walked over. I paused in front of him, thinking my actions over. I then grabbed his hand gently and I looked into his eyes.

"Thank you Alfred. I love this. The room is perfect." I started, seeing his eyes gleam. "Thank you for doing so much to keep this," I moved his hand up to my chest over my heart so he could feel it pulsing before his fingertips, "still beat." I saw strain enter his eyes and he could sense the 'but' coming up. "But there is so much left before it beats for you." I then pulled his hand to my face. "I'll give you the chance… but don't take it as an opportunity to break me. I'm already a bit broken so be gentle." I then leaned my face into his hand and released it, he now just cradling my face in one hand.

"Arthur…" He started. He sighed softly and brought his other hand to cup my face fully. "You are the one human I couldn't bring myself to hurt. I don't know what it is about you that makes me not able to, but it's the truth. I know you won't believe me and I intend to show you." He then seemed to be grasping for words and I let him have the time to find them. "But to be able to trust me, you have to let go. Fall. If you cling onto something, you never move past it." He paused again. "Can you do that Arthur?"

I blinked and smiled softly. "I can do that for you." I replied gently. He grinned and kissed my forehead.

"Thank you Arthur." He replied. I then kissed his cheek and sighed.

"You are welcome…" I replied and grabbed his hand. "Let's sleep, I'm exhausted. Plus, the bed looks so comfy." I said. He chuckled and nodded. I walked over and started to undress and threw on a large shirt Alfred had given me, it working rather well for pajama wear.

I rolled into bed after parting the canopy that was actually rather thick but very porous so air went in very well and kept the oxygen fresh. I closed my eyes and was startled as arms wrapped gently around my waist. I let him tuck me close to him. I was in love with him and knew so long as those eyes were blue, I could trust him. Plus, after tonight, I thought he earned it. I flipped over to stare into his blue eyes that were staring at me in mystery. "Your mind… it is so… different." He finally said after staring and gently running his hand through my hair.

I raised an eyebrow in questioning. "Well you see I can read minds and yours… its actually bright. Now a day's most people have dark minds and thoughts… It's not pleasant so… I love being around yours." He murmured in explanation. My cheeks went red.

"…do you always read my mind?" I asked.

"No, only when it's open like now. It's like you're practically projecting it to me at times like this…" He then sighed and his hand paused in my hair. "You love me…. But are afraid to… Reasonably so, seeing what I am and what I have done…" I heard the hurt in his voice. "I'm truly sorry… being around you makes me a different person for better or worse…" He sighed again and resumed his motions. "I'm having a hard time trying Arthur… but I don't know where to start really, or keep going… so just wait."

"Alfred." I said sharply. His eyes flicked up to mine. "My mind is my only privacy… You need to make sure you don't invade it. That is a good way to start if any. Then just keep going with anything. It will be small things that get my trust, not many large things." I explained. "I will wait as long as you want me to… I love you so I will wait." I replied. He smiled at that and nodded. At the look in his eyes, I figured he knew what to do.

My cheeks went a bright scarlet as he brought me closer and ran his nose along my neck. "Thank you Arthur…"He murmured. "But now I have a favor to ask… I haven't eaten for a few days… can I just have a little?" He asked. I blushed and nodded, tilting my neck back. Sure, the bite hurt a bit, but knowing I was helping him and the connection we had made it feel good after a few moments.

I gasped and grabbed his shirt when he bit into me, sharp ivory fangs piercing my soft peach skin. I let out a soft noise and moved so he was on top of me and my legs were wrapped around his hips. He himself made a low noise but his was more masculine and wild. I shuddered and saw his eyes were red but eyeing me cautiously, making sure I was okay with it. I smiled weakly and nodded; my grip tightening as I made another noise, this one a bit more pleasured. He smiled and closed his eyes, proceeding then to feed.

My vision starting adding and I tugged on his shirt harshly. He immediately moved his mouth away and licked the wound, clotting the blood so I wouldn't continue to bleed. He then gathered my limp body into his arms and gently spoke to me. He truly wanted me… not as a possession but as… a lover. I smiled softly at the thought. Here I went into the city thinking I would die… but instead…

I shook my thoughts away wistfully. Time would tell… only time would tell. I nuzzled him and buried my face in his chest. I could tell he was surprised but rather than comment he pet my hair and whispered soft words in my ear until I fell asleep, my dreams filled with Alfred.

((Alfred))

I sighed as Arthur fell asleep. He… seemed to understand but something was holding him back. From falling and letting it all go. I had to figure that out so I could help. Belle's words finally made sense to me. I took too long to decide and had treated him badly. I had fractured the china doll and I had to work to fix it. If this is what it took to get Arthur's heart, so be it.

I was Alfred F. Jones after all; the self-proclaimed hero who was raised on a farm in the west many years ago. Back then I truly believed that I could be the hero and I could be great. Who says I can't now? I was determined and when a hero is determined, they don't give up. I smiled to myself and I kissed the other's forehead. "You will trust me Arthur, because I won't stop until I fixed what I have done. I will be the hero for once, and not the villain."

Authors Note: Cheesy Ending but come on, I couldn't help it. xD hope this was okay and I intend to make my chapters at least 3,000 words from now on.
