Bumblebee raced through the city, scanning every frequency.
He was upset, and didn't want to tell anyone that he'd lost the human he was trying to protect.
Bumblebee screeched to a stop as Jayla jumped into the street.
"Bee! Sorry for asking this, but we're tracking a Decepticon - Barricade. Can we hop a ride?"
Bee opened the door, grateful. Especially since Jayla could probably melt the 'Con into a puddle if it was necessary.
"Just so you know, you'll have to help me destroy the 'Con. I can't melt him into a puddle."

Sunny's mind raced. She could shadow travel, but then Barricade might go after the other humans at the base.
"You know you're being used, right?"
Probably not the best opening.
"What did you say, you little mortal fleshling?"
"You're being used. U-S-E-D." Sunny thought. "Like, as in your master is usuing you for his own goals. He doesn't give a flying Fury feather that you're his underling."
The Decepticon glared at her. "You have no idea what you are talking about."
"You hope that, by using me, you can bring Bumblebee here. Prove yourself, as it were." Sunny gulped as the Decepticon roared. "And you will die when your master sees you again, right? Even with an Autobot."
"You are not even involved in this war!" He decimated a large pipe. Sunny swallowed again.
"No, I'm not." Sunny looked up into the Decepticon's optics. "But I do know that Bumblebee was dragged into this war." How she knew, she didn't know. She was just talking. "He was just a sparkling. As for me, I've been embroiled in this war since a thousand vorns before you were even a thought in Primus' processor. So don't tell me I'm not involved, you moronic pile of bolts and screws!"
Sunny sat back, her eyes wide. Okay, what was that?
Something floated to the forefront of her mind, and she passed out at the pain.

Sunny was in front of her mother.
"Mother?"
Elizabeth Archen looked up at her.
"Are you dead, too?" Elizabeth questioned.
"No," Sunny replied. "I don't think so, anyway."
"Good." Elizabeth frowned. "Why are you here?"
"I don't know," Sunny confessed. "Are you real?"
Elizabeth looked shocked, then sad. "Oh, honey. Come here."
Sunny tentatively reached for her.
When she realized she could touch her mother - hug her - Sunny hugged her like she was her lifeline.
"I'm sorry, Mama."
"Oh, Sunny." Elizabeth smoothed her daughters hair. "Don't be sorry. I was merely a vessel for your return."
"My return, Mama?"
"Your return." Elizabeth sighed. "Go, my dear. Return the way you meant to."
"Mama - I don't want to go. The real world -"
"Is the world you live in, Sunny. Convince him to surrender to Prime. That is my advice, my child, my heart."
"Mama?"
"Go."
Elizabeth pushed her, physically throwing her out.
"MAMA!"

Sunny couldn't put a finger on why she was different.
"I will kill you now -"
"Surrender to Optimus, and you won't die," Sunny interrupted. "He is a kind leader. He will not kill you if you make a mistake. Trust me, his optics alone are enough to make you feel guilty." And that's when she knew.
How had she forgotten everything that had happened on Cybertron? Her spark-sister... She'd caused Shadowdusk to die. Chromelight had died, killing her sister. And leaving her sparkmate.
"He's a good leader. He won't smack you around. He'll discipline you, and he'll need to know you truly have a reason to fail other than betrayal." Sunny looked up at him. "Or I will have to destroy you myself."
The truth that she could destroy him rang through the room. No, Sunny couldn't talk to humans.
But she could threaten evil Decepticons who truly did have a chance at being good.
Barricade stared at her.
"You think I can keep my optics?"
"Don't see why not," replied the reincarnated teen. "Look, I don't want this war to last any longer than it has. It's already ravaged one planet. Does this war need to ravage another?"
She waited a long while for his response.

Sunny slurped her drink as Bumblebee swerved into the parking lot.
She jumped up and stopped him from transforming by pointing towards the other humans.
Jayla stepped out, looking relieved - but also fearful as she spotted Baricade behind Sunny.
"Jayla, calm down." She could feel the stares of the others. "I managed to talk him into surrendering to Optimus. Can you be a stand-in?"
"Kind of have to be since Optimus isn't here right now," the young woman said edgily. "Where's he going to go, since we don't exactly have a trap for him?"
"His warehouse," Sunny replied easily. "Tell the other Autobots that there's an ex-Decepticon waiting to surrender. I'll be with him at his warehouse."
"No, I'll go," WIll said suddenly, stepping up. "You have paperwork to complete. Bring Sunny on as a civilian consultant."
"No, don't," Sunny said. "I want to join NEST. I want to help."
Her sister didn't even recognize her. It hurt.

Her last thing on the list: See how Bee was.
She couldn't tell him yet. She couldn't. It would hurt him. So she was discreet about her questions.
And yeah. One night she was with him, staring at the stars and she wished she could tell him.
But it wasn't time.
Thank you, Nyx.
She thought she saw the faintest hint of a smile in the stars.

angelslaugh here! Hi, I only want to say this: I know it's short. I couldn't really think about what else I would want to write!
No, she doesn't tell Bee, because this is a companion piece to 'The Curious Demigod's Family', and she doesn't tell him yet.
I might write another chapter later on, as a sort of epilogue, but for now this is the ending I went with.
Alright! Review and follow me (please!)! :D
