AN: Hi there! Isn't it wonderful when there are a lot of forgiving people in our lives? *yelling noises in the background* WHO IS THIS MONSTER?

Okay, fine! Go a head, hate me! I won't judge. Well, I'm fine. Nothing terrible happened to me in the last couple months. I just had bunch of works to do yet surrounded by irresponsible people. Oops, shouldn't say bad things behind someone's back. Anyway, I was really stressed and wanted to hide from responsibility. Escaped to Paris, perhaps? But all good now! :)

I want to give inesd, dahliadaria, R and guest(s) my special thanks. I'm so lucky to receive your concerns. About this story and about me. I didn't respond because I thought it would be better if I came back with a new chapter rather than nothing. If I somehow made you feel being ignored, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to do that.

Another special thank to sabooian for being a great English tutor. Hope this story still catch your interest. :)

For all of you, thank you very much. I know I usually reply your reviews but I was too late for updating so... next time? *You don't want to read them anyway. :)*

And I'm sorry for being late, like always. And since I couldn't write for a really long time, my writing is a little... eh. Yes, "a little" is an understatement. Trust me! I mean it. I want to warn you about this because my next chapters can be this... eh too. I think it will take me a while to get back to my "not so terrible" writing. I really am sorry for this.

Because you all deserve better.

You love Spemily and I love you.

Pretty Little Liars is not mine. If it's mine, you'll know. (Full of Spemily of course)

A guest informed me about the changes of love locks and that bridge in Pairs. Hope it didn't affect our lovebirds' relationship. ;) *evil laugh* *chokes*

P/S: I don't know how to flirt. (you'll get it)

A week had passed. It had slowly passed in Spencer's unpleasantness. She swore the Earth had somehow changed the way it worked. There was completely impossible for a week to last that long. She felt like she had just been through a week and seven days. Yeah, that meant two weeks but exposing it into days made it seem longer. She even felt like Alison had moved in their house. Her house.

Actually, working with the icy blue eyes girl wasn't that bad though. Put aside their personal stuffs, Alison was a really amazing actress. She understood her character so well like this book was her own love story. The way she talked about it gave you the impression that she had been reading it countless times. Sometimes she could even tell which page a specific line was in. At this point, Spencer had to admit that the word perfect wasn't enough to describe how well the role fit for Alison. In their working time, all they mentioned were work and work. Really. The writer's room at that moment had this extremely professional air surrounded.

Seemed nice.

Yes, working time seemed nice.

Was there anything under that cover? Of course there was. The actress knew her role so well. Too well. Why the hell did she need to work with them to know more? She obviously wasn't here to work. Okay, she was here to work but with something else and probably had nothing to do with this movie. There were so many reasons for the light brown girl to be annoyed.

I didn't exaggerate it. Apparently, the icy blue eyes girl was a worth rival in love. She was talented, smart, charming and more. The writer believed she could had anyone she wanted. Anyone. And well, the last time Spencer had checked, that "anyone" seemed to be her beautiful wife. It would help a lot if they were strangers. A lot. But no, the universe loved to tease with people's fates. They had to be ex – lovers. The part "ex" didn't have so much weight in Spencer's thought. Emily loved her book. Alison was showing she could understand her book more than Spencer herself. Coincidence? No way. No freaking way. This could be a plan of the blonde to get to the dark brown eyes girl again. Or this could be a sign meaning that Alison and Emily were perfect for each other. Or this could be the beginning of a love story which Spencer was totally not a main character. Or this could be…

"I'm glad you wrote this book a happy ending." The icy blue eyes girl's voice slightly broke its way through the writer's thoughts.

Alison didn't make it any easier for the light brown eyes girl.

So she loves happy endings.

Emily loved happy endings. Frankly, she was big on happy endings. Spencer wanted it, too. She felt like she was ready to get all the things that related to happiness. Three persons wanted a same thing. Someone had to change their plan because world sometimes was a ruthless place that not everybody could have what they desired. The writer was sure she didn't want to be that "someone". She didn't want Emily to be that "someone". She was sure all of that but she also couldn't make sure all of that. She didn't have the ability to control a person who was in love. Especially that person was Alison. Yes, Spencer was way ahead her. They were married. But there was no sign guaranteeing a hundred percent that the actress wouldn't beat her.

It wasn't certain.

More than anyone else, Spencer liked being certain. It was where she was comfortable. Obviously, now, she wasn't. "Toby's fault" not only gave the actress a golden ticket to their nest, it also let Alison have chances to occupy their time. Their private time. A normal person worked eight hours a day. Some worked less or more depended on their job. But the writer didn't care about others. They had agreed that this would just be like an ordinary job, Alison would just be here for eight hours, then Spencer would have the rest of the day for herself and Emily. Well, those things were on papers. Just on papers. The icy blue eyes girl seemed to like being here. There were days that the younger girl said her goodbye at eleven. You are right. Eleven at night. And yes, the writer just had enough time to say goodnight to her favorite person. They both were too tired for a movie or something else.

Our incredible writer hadn't figured out how Alison could do that though. Their working time was really serious. The blonde had no attempt doing anything beside that. It was just that Spencer started to concern about the actress's health. From time to time, their conversation would be interrupted by Alison's excuses.

"I need to get a drink."

She left for fifteen minutes.

"I need to have a snack."

She left for twenty minutes.

"I need to use the bathroom."

She left for half an hour.

In those reasons, she used the last one the most. That took away a big amount of their working time and they had to compensate by adding more personal times into it. But the older girl was powerless. It was the only excuse Spencer couldn't say anything to stop her. You know, nobody should hold it back when they need to… let it go. By any chance that Alison didn't have a plan, Spencer believed that she would have kidney's problem.

Things kept happening for days and the writer hadn't done anything about it. Until that day. A beautiful day that Spencer decided to follow after Alison right the moment the icy blue eyes girl had sneaked out.

Well, let's say she did use the bathroom. But it was like less than three minutes, just enough time for the girl to fix her hair or her lipstick.

What did she do with the rest of her time then?

She grabbed a glass of water, leaning against the kitchen's door, staring out the living room. The talented actress took a small sip, smiling at the view. The process kept going until the glass was empty. By that time, Alison got back and worked with Spencer. Yet, it wouldn't take her too long to be out here and doing all that weird stuffs again.

Not that the writer's living room was a spectacular place or had some majestic furniture. For Alison, the room was a little too "cold" when there was no one in it. But it could be warm sometimes. Only some specific times. Whenever the blonde saw Emily laying on that couch, the room suddenly felt like home.

Peaceful. Warm. Safe.

Home.

It was Alison's good luck. The brown eyes girl spent most of her day on that couch reading books. She would eventually make lunch and dinner but yeah, the couch was a part of her daily activities. As you all know how lost Emily could be in her reading time, she barely had any thoughts that someone was watching her. She just minded her own business. It was actually really good for the icy blue eyes girl. She wanted to talk with Emily but how could she explain her reason for being out here and not working with Spencer? She wanted Emily to look at her but how could she explain for that longing look she was giving to a married woman? This was better. So much better. Alison was enjoying the scene. It was so familiar. Emily hadn't changed even a little bit. In fact, she was the only thing that hadn't changed. Time, place, lovers. They were all changed. That hurt. But the actress knew she had to accept it. She should start to accept it. She should.

But wait…

Yes, just wait for a moment. A really long moment. An extremely long moment. Let her live in that memory again. The memory which Emily was still hers. The images appeared in her head. Her heart began singing in joys but with slow melody. Her mind relaxing as the sound of that imaginary love song reached her ears. And her eyes sparkled. All of those steps were for the making of the most genuine smile that could possibly visible on the icy blue eyes girl's lips. She loved it.

The scene. The girl. The feeling.

Alison, the girl who was lost had just found her home, had just found a way to feel like home. She wanted to feel it more. She needed to feel it more.

And that, was a story of how Alison kept doing those weird stuffs. Again and again.

Well, that was also a story of how Alison accidentally pissed Spencer off. Over and over.

It took Alison exactly twenty one minutes to get back to her legal room. Don't ask, Spencer counted. But she hadn't done a thing with the blonde the moment she caught her staring at her wife though. Their argument would definitely be heard by the tanned girl. Spencer didn't want that. That could just only put more weight onto Emily's heart. The situation was already complicated without anyone doing anything. Yet, what Alison had been doing was unacceptable. Though she hadn't even talked to her favorite person, things could still easily go wrong. The older girl could read clearly from those icy blue eyes how much effort Alison had spent to stop herself from running to Emily's place. The eyes language. The only person Spencer knew that also had this kind of eyes was Emily. It scared her more.

What if Alison doesn't stop at staring?

What if Alison tries to have conversations?

Those thoughts frightened her but they were not what afraid Spencer the most.

What if Emily looks back?

That was the one. The writer believed her favorite person. The writer had full trust on her. She was really certain about this marriage. This girl. Being certain had always been making Spencer feel safe. But it also had another side. The side that could take Spencer down if all the things she believed in turned out to be changeable, unsteady and expirable. Spencer loved Emily. Emily loved Spencer. Alison loved Emily. There was no research proving that the tanned girl wouldn't love her back. It was love. It wasn't Math or Physics or Chemistry. You couldn't calculate it. The light brown eyes girl was frustrated. She conflicted with herself. She trusted Emily but she also didn't trust Emily if somehow Alison had a chance to say something to her. It was a big mess in her head but there was one thing that still shining brightly in those thoughts.

She wanted Emily to always be hers.

Emily was her person. Emily was in her house. Emily was there when she having meals. Emily was there when she crying. Emily was there when she having happy moments. Emily was everywhere in Spencer's life. Yes, those things had just been happening for couple months but the writer didn't want even a minute living and knowing that the dark brown eyes girl was with someone else. Hers. She needed to claim it. Maybe she should bring the younger girl to some authority offices which allowed to mark a person as someone's property to fully possess her.

Well, I don't think that's a legal thing to do. Plus, that isn't necessary. After all, Emily loved her. The problem was Alison. She had to eliminate any opportunity the icy blue eyes girl could have.

Right on time, the talented actress finally came back. As the girl was closing the door behind and was about to walk and sit at her chair, the cocky writer raised her voice sarcastically.

"Let me guess, you will need to use the bathroom in the next forty five minutes, right?"

Even though she was unprepared for this kind of unprofessional attitude Spencer was giving while they were still in the working mood, Alison slightly had an idea what the writer was implicating. She didn't want to give up right away but she also hadn't come up with any lie yet. The blonde asked, trying to be casual.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Oh, you know too well the answer, Alison. If not, I'm gonna make it clear for you." Taking a breath in and shoot another glare at her coworker, Spencer continued. "You, will ask to get out in less than an hour. Why? One, because you just drank a big glass of water whilst you asserted you were in "the bathroom". Two, because you need a reason to sneak out and stare cravingly at my wife again. Am I right?"

Silent.

Alison couldn't reply. The girl was in troubles. Big ones. At this moment, the icy blue eyes girl just realized that she had failed. Alison had failed on her own test which she hadn't known there was one until the writer unexpectedly turned on the light pub in her head. She had completely forgotten her real mission when she first decided to come here. She was here to test Spencer. She was here to make sure Emily had the best. From her knowledge, the only person was being tested was herself. She had gotten a big "F" on the "acceptance" exam. She still couldn't accept the fact that Emily had moved on with Spencer, that Emily had found her true love. That Emily's true love wasn't her.

She was here because she had hope for a future with the coffee shop owner.

That information was glowing like the sun but Alison didn't want to admit that. It could lead to some big changes with Alison's hands in it and the talented actress was really certain that those changes would influence the tanned girl a lot. Good or bad she hadn't known for sure yet but she wasn't ready to risk Emily's happiness for her own. She wasn't ready to be selfish.

Again.

Her heart softened with the coming back of the worst part in her memories. As the evil Alison was being defeated by the good one, the writer felt the need to work this complicated circumstance out one and for all. Spencer raised her eyebrow while her deathful glare was getting darker, spoke in her harsh tone.

"I believe the answer is yes."

The light brown eyes girl's voice woke the blonde up. Alison just remembered she had another trouble right here in front of her asking unanswerable questions. Unluckily for Spencer, her voice also rose the evil Alison from the ashes. The talented actress was trying really hard to be good by pretending she had accepted the moving on of the only person she loved. Things was already tough for her and Spencer just named a new reason for her good Alison to give up. Cocky, competitive, irritable. This writer was absolutely not impeccable. Yet she still had Emily. That raged a tiny little hurricane in the icy blue eyes girl's heart on. Okay, this is a new one. A "tiny little" was an extreme understatement. In case you haven't known, Alison was also a competitive and overachieve person. But no, she still didn't feel right to risk Emily's happiness. She just wanted to get straight A's on her tests. The "acceptance" one and "testing Spencer" one. So yeah, being silent meant being loser. It was her time to respond to the light brown eyes girl.

"True."

"What?" The writer asked in disbelief. She had been prepared to receive a lie.

"I said it's true." Alison's calmness never faded away.

"Alison, you…"

The actress jumped in, didn't let Spencer have a chance to fight back so soon.

"What? What are you so irritated about? I love beautiful things. Flowers, jewels, clothes. And people. Emily just happens to be one of those beauties I would love to admire. Is there any law against that, Spencer Hastings?"

The older girl's mouth had dropped on the floor. Just a metaphor though. Alison didn't lie. Now Spencer wasn't sure where this conversation would go. It kind of got out of her control but losing was surely not her last name.

"Well, can you please admire others beauty besides Emily? As you could see, this beauty is not available."

"Spencer, the one I admire is Emily. Not you. If anyone has to raise their voice to stop me, it should be her. From what I saw, she didn't show any disagreement."

"That's not fair. She said nothing because she didn't know you were watching."

"Okay, let's go." Alison stood up in Spencer's clueless moment.

"Where?"

"The living room. You want to stop me but as long as I don't receive Emily's protestation, what I've done is still acceptable. C'mon, we need to get this done so we can go back to work. We have lots of things to do." The icy blue eyes girl reasoned. There was a hint of a triumphant smile started to form on her lips.

It was a trap. And the writer was trapped. Sure Spencer could be really stubborn but she never let her stubbornness win and disturb Emily's peaceful time. It was never easy for someone to be in the middle of a pointless fight. Besides, her favorite person would be so nice that she couldn't say something like "Alison, I want you to stop staring at me". Though it hurt, Spencer had to admit that the actress had a point. Those stuffs she had been doing weren't illegal. They were just definitely banned in Spencer Hastings's rules. The writer was speechless. She lost.

"You coming?" The blonde questioned while her hand reaching the doorknob.

Sighing, the light brown eyes girl surrendered.

"Sit down. Like you said, we have works to do. Let's finish them as soon as possible. I can't wait for the day we're done."

And I can kick your ass out of my house.

Alison smirked. She won again. It was just that she wasn't sure if she should be cheerful or not. She just figured one thing out. Whenever Spencer felt like Emily could be in some kind of awkward moment or uncomfortable condition, she always lost her competitiveness. That actually was really nice. Emily actually was really loved. Alison tried to put herself in Spencer's position to see if she could be like that, to see if she could willingly lose. But she paused when the result was revealing. She wasn't sure of the answer so she didn't want to know it. Spencer couldn't be better than her. She couldn't be. Alison needed reason to remain being here. Spencer still needed to be tested. Because like always, Emily deserved better.

They both got back to work.

They both needed help.

Spencer must have someone to help her confront Alison.

And Alison, well, it was a little complicated. She didn't know she wanted help to get rid of Spencer or to get rid of the thought getting rid of Spencer.

Our lovebirds were wandering in a supermarket. This was not a new activity for a married couple but it was sure new for ours. They didn't add this as their new found hobby though. They were looking for some ingredients and tools in order to host a frenemies meeting. Yupe, you heard it right. Frenemies. As in friends and enemy. But shh, this was a secret of Spencer. Emily was absolutely in the dark about it. She just knew Alison and Hanna would be there with a really convincible reason of her beloved best friend. That was all.

Oh, you are also as clueless as Emily in this. Here, let me help you.

After Alison had left that day, the writer had decided that she didn't want to fight alone in this. She had underestimated Alison and she didn't wanted to make another mistake. So the light brown eyes girl reached out for help. And who could be the most helpful but the fashion designer who disliked the actress as much as Spencer did? As usual, their phone call tended to end in the shortest way.

"Emily? Where's your phone? Why are you using Spencer's to call me? Never mind. I miss you so much. This business trip is taking forever. I'm glad I can finally get on the plane. I'll see you soon in hours. I have present for you. Remember to make me some cookies and browni…"

It's me. Spencer.

"…"

"What do you want? I'm really busy! Hurry up!"

I need help…

"Who is this and what have you done to Spencer?"

Hanna! I'm serious! It's Alison. I don't want to handle it myself. She…

"I knew it. I freaking knew it. That bitch."

Um… What did you know? I haven't even said a thing.

"I got it. Leave things for me."

Han…

Beep beep beep

Oh look! The table had turned. Now Hanna was the one who hung up first. The fashion designer called the tanned girl shortly after that.

"Hey there, love."

Hi Hanna, how's your trip.

"Yeah, yeah, fantastic. Look! I'm going to talk with Alison."

Han, please don't…

"Don't worry! I just need to work things out with her. It's been five years. I believe it's time to find some closures for both of us. I want to end her. I mean end her and my bad terms of each other. For good."

You and Ali alone? I still don't think…

"The meeting will be at your place. Under your supervisor. Is that okay with you? It will be convenient since she's been there a lot lately."

"Don't you want me to be normal with her?"

Yeah, but…

"But what?"

Are you ready for this? I don't want you to force yourself to do something you hate.

"…"

Okay, okay. Do whatever you want. It would be so great if we all can at least not shout at the other when we met on the street.

"… Okay."

Okay. Bye Hanna. Flight safe.

"I love you."

Love you too.

Beep beep beep.

Guilt was growing in the blonde's stomach. She really hated doing things behind Emily's back but she had settled this one was for Emily's own good. It was worth lying to Emily. What she didn't expect was when she was worrying about the tanned girl, about how others could hurt her sweet Emily, her beloved best friend was afraid that she could be unpleasant for trying to "normalize" her relationship with Alison. The dark brown eyes girl barely had an idea to worry about herself. All she cared was her friends. Yes, friends which included Hanna and Alison. The girl's concern was her and she just lied to the coffee shop owner. Well, she actually didn't lie though. She would find a closure by kicking Alison out of Emily's life. She would end their bad terms by not seeing her again. Yet the way she said it gave Emily the impression that somehow they could remain "not so close" friends. That made the blue eyes girl feel guilty. But well, things had been done. Now all she could do was making the rest of her plan success so she could sleep well after this sinful phone call.

Yes, that was the secret behind this frenemies meeting.

Back to the market, our lovely couple was discussing about the amount of the flour. Spencer said it was enough for four but Emily wanted to make sure she wouldn't run out of flour in the middle of her cooking. Again, you read it right. Four. The writer didn't invite her tiny best friend. Aria was left out in this meeting. It wasn't the poor artist's fault though. The light brown eyes girl knew too well the purpose of this meeting. Having another clueless girl there was not a good choice since every word would have to be subtle whilst Aria was around. The tiny girl surely cared about her but she believed it would be better for Aria if she wasn't involved. The girl knew not so much about the whole thing and she was also a person of peace just like Emily. Yes, Aria had to be left out.

As the dark brown eyes girl was leaving Spencer alone and asking a staff where to get a bigger bag, a blonde approached our incredible writer. A blonde with icy blue eyes. How ironic! Definitely not Spencer's type.

The stranger put on her most beautiful smile, questioning.

"Hi, I'm just wondering if I could borrow your phone."

"I'm sorry but may I ask what would you need it for?" Spencer replied politely, spotted some signals the girl was showing without knowing Emily was watching them.

"I need to use GPS. I'm lost while looking into your eyes." The girl smirking, took a step closer to the light brown eyes girl.

Emily narrowing her eyes, was slightly pissed off, waiting for Spencer's reaction.

Worst pick up line ever.

To Emily's surprises, the writer didn't protest immediately. Instead, she put on that freaking adorable goofy grin and made the conversation keep going.

"I believe you can use your phone to find the way. Most of phones have GPS nowadays."

"Let's just assume that my phone had lost before I got here." Emily's eyes widened as the girl closing her distance with Spencer. Even though they were a square distance but in the coffee shop owner's eyes, the hated girl could just move her head and their lips would touch. The stranger girl continued. "Now can you give me your phone? I believe it's missing my number."

At this point, Spencer managed to stop being polite. She stepped backward a step, shook her head.

"Sorry, the only person who is allowed to give me orders is my wife."

"Wow, beautiful, charming and loyal. I think it's time for me to settle down and for you to have a better wife." The confident blonde tried once more time, her shameless face was showing.

Spencer frowned, started to get annoyed with this girl.

"What the hell did you just say?"

"C'mon, don't act like you didn't have a second thought. You even smiled when I flirted with you."

"Oh please! I wanted to laugh at how blind you were for not knowing I'm married but I didn't want to be rude so I smiled instead. Now raise your ears and listen carefully, no one is better than my wife. No one. Next time, remember to flirt with someone who is not married and don't say that you're better than anyone." Our dorky yet loveable writer let out her speech, secretly felt proud of herself.

As the stranger was about to speak though I'm pretty sure she had nothing to say, Emily finally got "back". Pretended she wasn't listening the whole time, smiling, the girl asked nicely.

"Hey, who's this?"

The blonde was dumbfounded. She looked at our coffee shop owner from head to toes. The light brown eyes girl didn't lie when she said no one was better than her wife. It was nearly impossible for someone to be this good looking. If it wasn't because of what had happened, she was sure she would also come after this gorgeous dark brown eyes girl.

Spencer didn't respond to her favorite person instantly. She was beaming since her girl came back but the beam got wider when she caught the blonde was literally lost in her wife's breathtaking beauty. She was proud. So proud that she almost wasn't angry with the fact that this was another icy blue eyes blonde staring cravingly at her girl. Almost. The writer soon regained her gesture, held Emily's hand, leading her to the cashier, spoke shortly.

"Nobody."

The tanned girl just smiled. She didn't bring up what she had seen. Maybe she had already forgotten about it. Yeah, maybe that.

Before it was their turn to check at the cashier, Emily excused herself to go to the bathroom. It was really quick compared with time that other girls spent when they were in there. This could be even quicker than Alison's.

While Spencer took back her card and our lovebirds were about to leave, that familiar stranger was yelling panicky at the supermarket's staffs. Well, seemed like she just lost her phone. Yupe, it was nothing. Really. Nothing. If only Emily didn't smile slyly and mumbled under her breath.

"Be careful what you wish for."

The writer froze in her spot, slowly turned back to look at the younger girl. Emily was enjoying the scene that she didn't feel Spencer was eyeing her. The older girl grabbed her hand tightly, led her out to the parking lot in a rush. Spencer let Emily lean her back at their car, worriedly questioned.

"Emily! Please tell me you didn't take her phone."

"I didn't take her phone." The dark brown eyes girl responded in a heartbeat, calmness covered her face.

Our writer tilted her head aside, curving the corners of her lips. She didn't buy any word of this girl.

"Really. I didn't."

Receiving "the look" from Spencer, Emily eventually quietly added.

"I just… borrowed it. For a short moment."

"Emily! You could get in trouble if they found out."

"You can set your mind at rest about this. Hanna had showed me some treats. Never thought I would use but… Haha. It was my first time. Anyway, I didn't take her phone though. I left it in the bathroom. She will be fine. Don't worry!" Despite Spencer's concerns, the younger girl still found this enjoyable.

"Why would you do that?" She asked, just to make sure she just witnessed for the first time of a jealous Emily.

"Hellooo! Don't you remember? First of all, she flirted with you. Then, she annoyed you. She even wanted to take my place. Have I mentioned that she flirted wi…"

The dark brown eyes girl's listing process was interrupted by a kiss. It getting deeper when Emily having more information about what was happening. Spencer's hand moved from the girl's face to her neck, obviously to feel more Emily in her. Yeah, yeah, air was what you needed but you could adventure sometimes to know there were wonderful things that you would willingly risk your life. And yes, Spencer didn't know when but she knew she would willingly risk her life to have one of those wonderful things. To have Emily. Her favorite person could be sweet, loveable, innocent and more. She could be anything and everything. So yeah, she could be unpredictable. In a good way. The thought of Emily having this side had never stretched a line in the writer's amazing head. Maybe this was her new side. Maybe love had changed her. Maybe Spencer had changed her.

Well, those were unanswerable maybes.

And unfortunately, human still couldn't win nature. Air was still needed. Spencer reluctantly released the coffee shop owner. Her reflection shining in Emily's eyes. She saw it. She knew it. The frenemies meeting had to be done. Alison had to be "taken care of".

Because I don't want to lose you.

AN: Tell me what you think?

I'm sorry it's not worth the wait.
